I've had year's experience with this restaurant. Very hole in the wall but delicious and affordable till pandemic hit. I've decided to wait to write a negative review and went back recently and was surprised. Food was delicious, new larger sandwiches to go with the inflation prices and everything was fresh. They even redid the inside of the restaurant and it looks great!! We will continue being long term customers. Bbq ckn sand, fried banana, wonton soup, and baby egg rolls are so delicious! This place is AMAZING! It's truly hard to find an authentic Vietnamese place to eat and this was one for the books! I first came across when I was in the Modesto area working and due to the COVID not many businesses had available restrooms. I stopped at the gas station literally next door. And the woman working there told me I could use the restroom at the small restaurant. I walked in and noticed they had boba drinks or pearl tea as they call it. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee as well as a Steamed Pork Bahn Mi. It was very delicious and fresh. Delicious Vietnamese sandwiches at an affordable price! I ordered the BBQ pork banh mi with extra veggies. The meat was tender, flavorful, and there was a good portion of it. They also add a lot of herbs and cilantro, so theres no shortage of flavor. Their Vietnamese coffee is good too- not watered down at all and the perfect amount of condensed milk. The best Vietnamese sandwiches in Central Valley. I like to get the custom spring rolls too, shrimp with grilled pork and peanut sauce. Perfection The shop prefers cash. My only gripe is the parking situation. There are 2 parking spots in front (a regular and a handicap spot) and a dirt lot in the back that's uneven and gets really muddy when raining. The bánh mì (Vietnamese sandwiches) here at Le Saigon are stubby fatties. They are shorter and wider than other Vietnamese sandwiches and have a pretty good amount of filling. I've tried the Le Saigon Special, Cha Lua, BBQ Pork, Nem Nuong, and Sausage sandwiches. The prices for the sandwiches range from $3.00 to $4.00 which is reasonable. Overall I like the Le Saigon Special sandwich the best, although I omit the head cheese. I usually ask for extra pâté as well. Sometimes it seems like they put extra pâté in, sometimes it seems like they forget. I am most impressed with the amount of cilantro, cucumber, and pickled carrots that they put in the sandwiches. I ask for extra extra pickled carrots and they seem to add it for free. The Big Egg Rolls, $1 for two, were disappointing . They have CABBAGE in them, which is not Vietnamese at all. Chinese egg rolls usually have cabbage, not Vietnamese egg rolls. I threw them away after two bites. The smaller egg rolls, Baby Egg Rolls, are $1 for five. These were better than the big ones and had detectable pork in them. They were crunchy and freshly fried. In general, I prefer big Vietnamese egg rolls because you get a lot more filling, but I would only recommend the baby egg rolls here. I also tried the BBQ Pork and Shrimp Noodle salad. I was not diggin' the bbq pork. It didn't seem as fresh as it could be. The pearl tea/boba smoothies are okay. I made sure to ask what the specific fruit smoothies are made out of... powder, frozen fruit, or canned fruit pieces. Soursop blended smoothie with pears was tasty and refreshing; however, there was a chunk of 6 pearls that were stuck together at the bottom of my drink. It totally clogged up the straw and made it more difficult to drink. Overall, Le Saigon Sandwich is a good, affordable option in the area. They also have a small selection of Asian market items like Sriracha, Shrimp Chips, refrigerated bao that they make and other bao that they re-sell, etc., for sale. read more

I'm so disappointed! Every time I go there I always order My pork belly sandwiches with extra meat & mayo with pate. Everyone always gets it right. Except the last 2xs I go in and the 2 Hispanic ladies are there! I drove quite some ways just to pick up my food... I came home last night & none of my pork belly sandwiches had Xtra MAYO or Pate! First time customer, sandwiches were great. Had the pork belly and the bbq pork sandwich both were yummy and a good size. Also got the chicken and beef sticks. Started off great as well but half way through my chicken stick the chicken looked raw. I've had food poisoning before so I immediately stopped eating that one. The egg rolls and the shrimp were good as well. Overall the sandwiches were the star of our dinner. Ok, this is my favorite place to grab food. Hands down! Best soups, best sandwiches, best boba!!! I typically order the pork belly or fish cake sandwiches which are seasoned perfectly, with the tastiest carrots. The chicken udon soup is so yummy and always has the best flavor. The best thing about this place is the chicken egg rolls! 5 minis for $1! Can't beat that with how tasty they are. They also have a little shop here and we always find the yummiest treats to try. I used to come here more often for their banh mi sandwiches which were of good quality, however, during my most recent visit they have definitely rose their prices significantly. For example, banh mi sandwich now $6.50 each versus $4.50 a few months ago. Their pork buns now increased prices to $3.50 each versus $2 before. This is increasing prices by a whole lot. I won't be frequenting this establishment anymore due to the significant rise in prices and their quality of sandwiches bread has gone down. During our most recent visit the bread was old and stale. Would not recommend. Pro tip: be sure to do the math yourself to calculate overall pricing because the front cashier lady overcharged me ($7 each sandwich vs $6.50), and all of that can add up when you buy 3 sandwiches or more. Finally gave this place a try after being recommended by multiple people to do so. We ordered pork spring rolls and sandwiches and everything was delicious. I am a huge fan of spring rolls and not many places in town make them very well. Le Saigon's spring rolls are an exception- they are made very well and the peanut sauce recipe is perfect!
