I really enjoy a good Bánh Mì, and this place delivers. Authentic Vietnamese street food experience. I've been to quite a different Vietnamese sandwich shops and i have to say their sandwiches are the best even though they're a few dollars more than most of their competitors... you're paying for the best read more

I was really craving some bomb ass Bahn Mi and I found this place on Yelp. Never heard or knew of this place before but thought we could give it a try. This place was lind of difficult to find because the GPS was trying to take me through a back alley which I thought it was weird. The business only had 2 parking in the front of the business, we had to park in the back of the business close to the alleyway. After we entered the business, we reviewed the menu and ordered 4 cold cut bahn mi sandwiches with extra meat and extra paté. We were informed it would takr about 10 minutes so we waited inside and looked around. This place had a small little section where they sold asian cooking ingredietns. They didnt really have a dining area where you can sit and enjoy your food. They have a table lined up around the wall with some chairs. We figured its a business for order and pick up. Our order was ready, we grabbed it then left. We couldn't wait to sink our teeths into our sandwiches, the smell and the thought of how good it was made my mouth watered. As soon as we got home, I unraveled my sandwich. WOW!! The sandwich was huge. It was packed with all the veggie fixings, there was extra meat and extra paté like I ordered. Most places that I have gone to in the past have failed me when I ordered extra things, but not Le Saigon. The bread was fresh, toasted perfectly, it had the nice crunch, and it was soft on the inside. My boyfriend and my two boys enjoyed it. I wish I had taken photos before we consumed it all at one sitting. This place is a gem, a little hole in the wall. I will definitely travel to this place again when Im craving a yummy Bahn Mi. Also, not only do they have sandwiches but they make other dishes as well. read more

This place is AMAZING! It's truly hard to find an authentic Vietnamese place to eat and this was one for the books! I first came across when I was in the Modesto area working and due to the COVID not many businesses had available restrooms. I stopped at the gas station literally next door. And the woman working there told me I could use the restroom at the small restaurant. I walked in and noticed they had boba drinks or pearl tea as they call it. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee as well as a Steamed Pork Bahn Mi. It was very delicious and fresh. The baguette bread was freshly made crunchy and buttery and the ingredients in the sandwich were super fresh. I will definitely return. And recommend read more

The best lumpia!! Or I guess they call it egg rolls. Tiny little place.. but food is fresh and cooked to order

I've had year's experience with this restaurant. Very hole in the wall but delicious and affordable till pandemic hit. I've decided to wait to write a negative review and went back recently and was surprised. Food was delicious, new larger sandwiches to go with the inflation prices and everything was fresh. They even redid the inside of the restaurant and it looks great!! We will continue being long term customers. Bbq ckn sand, fried banana, wonton soup, and baby egg rolls are so delicious! We ordered boba which I expected to taste like artificial banana and tasted the real deal! So good. Stay loyal to saigons read more

Pains me to say this, but LeSaigon has fallen off :(. Sandwiches are consistently unbalanced now, and full of celery stems. Also, prices have almost doubled. read more

A hidden gem in Modesto. GREAT value to be able to get fresh grilled chicken, spring rolls, banh mi sandwiches and those tasty baby egg rolls. I like ordering the large chicken and rice plate, pork & chicken fresh spring rolls, a few orders of baby egg rolls, a bag of veggies, and occasionally a banh mi sandwich, which is BIG and on freshly baked bread. The people who work here are awesome. Call ahead and pick it up. =) read more

Delicious Vietnamese sandwiches at an affordable price! I ordered the BBQ pork banh mi with extra veggies. The meat was tender, flavorful, and there was a good portion of it. They also add a lot of herbs and cilantro, so theres no shortage of flavor. Their Vietnamese coffee is good too- not watered down at all and the perfect amount of condensed milk. Definitely will be back for a quick and yummy lunch! read more

The food was good. I love the nem nuong springroll....very delicious! The chicken stick with rice was good and affordable. The papaya salad was ok. It taste very sour and wasn't flavorful. The parking lot is located in the back of the store. There is 2 handicap parking in the front of the store. Definitely would come back again! read more

This place is great I come from Riverbank to get the sandwiches and avocado smoothies not many places use fresh avocado.

I usually get the #1 combo Sandwich with an order of baby egg rolls. The sandwich is usually packed full of meat and veggies. It really hits the spot and it's affordable. The best Vietnamese sandwiches in Central Valley. I like to get the custom spring rolls too, shrimp with grilled pork and peanut sauce. Perfection The shop prefers cash. My only gripe is the parking situation. There are 2 parking spots in front (a regular and a handicap spot) and a dirt lot in the back that's uneven and gets really muddy when raining. If they made it a concrete parking lot with parking spaces it would be more convenient. read more

You know how great it felt to finally find and eat a Vietnamese sandwich outside of the Bay Area? It was amazing!

Stopped by to check it out. Great place for a sandwich these place is great to stop for a quick sandwich

Absolutely love the food here! My favorite sandwiches. Good service considering the size and how busy it can get. Definitely recommend the bbq chicken sandwich read more

The bánh mì (Vietnamese sandwiches) here at Le Saigon are stubby fatties. They are shorter and wider than other Vietnamese sandwiches and have a pretty good amount of filling. I've tried the Le Saigon Special, Cha Lua, BBQ Pork, Nem Nuong, and Sausage sandwiches. The prices for the sandwiches range from $3.00 to $4.00 which is reasonable. Overall I like the Le Saigon Special sandwich the best, although I omit the head cheese. I usually ask for extra pâté as well. Sometimes it seems like they put extra pâté in, sometimes it seems like they forget. I am most impressed with the amount of cilantro, cucumber, and pickled carrots that they put in the sandwiches. I ask for extra extra pickled carrots and they seem to add it for free. The Big Egg Rolls, $1 for two, were disappointing . They have CABBAGE in them, which is not Vietnamese at all. Chinese egg rolls usually have cabbage, not Vietnamese egg rolls. I threw them away after two bites. The smaller egg rolls, Baby Egg Rolls, are $1 for five. These were better than the big ones and had detectable pork in them. They were crunchy and freshly fried. In general, I prefer big Vietnamese egg rolls because you get a lot more filling, but I would only recommend the baby egg rolls here. I also tried the BBQ Pork and Shrimp Noodle salad. I was not diggin' the bbq pork. It didn't seem as fresh as it could be. The pearl tea/boba smoothies are okay. I made sure to ask what the specific fruit smoothies are made out of... powder, frozen fruit, or canned fruit pieces. Soursop blended smoothie with pears was tasty and refreshing; however, there was a chunk of 6 pearls that were stuck together at the bottom of my drink. It totally clogged up the straw and made it more difficult to drink. Overall, Le Saigon Sandwich is a good, affordable option in the area. They also have a small selection of Asian market items like Sriracha, Shrimp Chips, refrigerated bao that they make and other bao that they re-sell, etc., for sale. read more

The Special Sandwich was a rather tasty & crunchy respite from the general blandness of the food in this Cow-town. The place was homely, messy, & non-hygienic, but did have cheerful ladies, in the back of the tiny store, who churned out an unceasing flow of budget Vietnamese Sandwiches, bubble drinks, and a few other choices. While munching on my treat, I cautiously sat on the edge of my hard plastic chair vigilantly watching the various denizens of this Meth-infested, dangerous, & mangy part of Moo-detesto, not go near, nor stumble into my hot-rod. The endless parade of the sordid dreck of society, in front of the dirty store window, inspired the following song: "Homie On da Mange" by Sir Homie Methalope VI (intoxicated, horny, rabid, armed, wanted, extremely extremely dangerous, & very large) ********** Homie, Homie, Homie On da Mange! Where the Beer and the Meth-a-dope play, Where seldom is heard, an encouraging word, And Skies are foggy all day. ********** Homie, Homie, Homie On da Mange! Where the fear and the despicable sway, Where seldom is heard, a hopeful word. And cars are stolen all day. ********** Homie, Homie, Homie On da Binge! Where the Beer and the Crack-a-dope play, Where seldom is slurred, a non-vulgar word, And Eyes are cloudy all day. ********** Homie, Homie, Homie On de Range! Where the Beer and the Meth-i-Cal pay, Where seldom is heard, a work related word, And Flies are buzzing all day. ********** Homie, Homie, Homie On da Mange! Where the Beer and the Obese play, Where seldom is heard, a diet related word, And lies are flying all day. ********** Homie Homie Homie On da Binge! Where the Beer and the Cirrhotic lay, Where seldom is slurred, a coherent word, And lives are accursed all day. ********** Homie Homie Homie On de Mange! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Moral: Oh Homie...forget the tasty sandwich, and just go home, back to school, or back to prison, before the Wild Mange-o-lope get you, or desecrate your prized stuff or loved ones! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ read more

Hands down the best Bahn Mi's in the area! The bread is always fresh. The service is fast and friendly! I come at least once a week!

I'm so disappointed! Every time I go there I always order My pork belly sandwiches with extra meat & mayo with pate. Everyone always gets it right. Except the last 2xs I go in and the 2 Hispanic ladies are there! I drove quite some ways just to pick up my food... I came home last night & none of my pork belly sandwiches had Xtra MAYO or Pate! There was NOTHING! Every time those 2 are there. My sandwiches are so nasty! How could you possibly leave out mayo!? When I asked for Xtra!!?! If I see them there again. I'm simply just going to walk out! read more

Baby egg rolls are fire. Even with raising the prices, 100 baby egg rolls for 30 bucks is still a great deal.

Ok, this is my favorite place to grab food. Hands down! Best soups, best sandwiches, best boba!!! I typically order the pork belly or fish cake sandwiches which are seasoned perfectly, with the tastiest carrots. The chicken udon soup is so yummy and always has the best flavor. The best thing about this place is the chicken egg rolls! 5 minis for $1! Can't beat that with how tasty they are. They also have a little shop here and we always find the yummiest treats to try. I am waiting for the crispy pork ears to be restocked. My only criticism is the horrible parking, but I am happy to make it work for the quality! read more

A hole in the wall. But all of their food is bomb. Boba is meh but it's a yummy little spot to pick up lunch to go. I love their bbq pork sandwich and the red bean sesame balls. Their fried shrimp is bomb too. My favorite is the baby egg rolls though!!!! read more

First time customer, sandwiches were great. Had the pork belly and the bbq pork sandwich both were yummy and a good size. Also got the chicken and beef sticks. Started off great as well but half way through my chicken stick the chicken looked raw. I've had food poisoning before so I immediately stopped eating that one. The egg rolls and the shrimp were good as well. Overall the sandwiches were the star of our dinner. The chicken stick I'll probably stay clear of from now but I will definitely be back for the sandwiches! Also, they do charge an extra $1 for credit card payments so keep that in mind. read more

Very friendly people, food is very good and priced accordingly, very diverse menu lots of choices

I used to come here more often for their banh mi sandwiches which were of good quality, however, during my most recent visit they have definitely rose their prices significantly. For example, banh mi sandwich now $6.50 each versus $4.50 a few months ago. Their pork buns now increased prices to $3.50 each versus $2 before. This is increasing prices by a whole lot. I won't be frequenting this establishment anymore due to the significant rise in prices and their quality of sandwiches bread has gone down. During our most recent visit the bread was old and stale. Would not recommend. Pro tip: be sure to do the math yourself to calculate overall pricing because the front cashier lady overcharged me ($7 each sandwich vs $6.50), and all of that can add up when you buy 3 sandwiches or more. Just be ware. Very disappointing overall. read more
