I have to say I've been trying to get into Le peep for a few years now because I used to live about 35 minutes away. However now that I've moved to the area my husband and I have been constantly trying to get into the restaurant but there is always a wait list on the weekends. However this past Sunday I was able to join the waitlist and we got seated within 10 minutes. I highly recommend joining the Yelp waitlist because I cut your time in half and the restaurant is small and it gets filled up quickly. Our waitress quickly greeted us and handed us our menus and within a few minutes she was ready to take our order. I got the pumpkin spice latte it was amazing definitely better than Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts coffee. So I definitely recommend this place if you're really in the mood for a nice coffee. I also got the farmers Benedict which is a biscuit sliced in half sausage poached eggs and sausage gravy.It comes with potatoes but honestly it really wasn't a fan of them but I really did enjoy my meal my husband got the steak and eggs which he plowed down and said it was amazing and he also got a caramel cappuccino which again he said was delicious. I would compare this to turning point both have their differences but both are places I would definitely return to and I can't wait to come to my next visit to Le peep. read more

Le Peep has been on my Yelp Bookmarks for a long time but never seemed to stop by at a great time. I finally went with a group of friends and overall the meal was kind of blah with terrible service. The wait is very long in general for weekend breakfast and brunch times. It is a chain with a few restaurants. The place looks a bit messy with no room to move. I felt awful for the staff trying to get around all of the customers. Generally looks run down and chaotic. If so were to compare... Turning Points is the same genre and pulls it off way better with great decor and interesting menu options. read more

Went on a Saturday around 11:30am. Make sure you get on the waiting list ahead of time because it will be long, but it's worth it. Everything we ate and drank was delicious. The lobster and veggie omelettes, pancakes, avocado toast and and an iced chai. It was a bit crowded and noisy but we lucked out and got a booth next to the window. Come here for a tasty and hearty breakfast! Their menu is large with so many different options I had a hard time choosing one. I came here super hungry, so I ordered the "Wanderer Skillet" and could not even finish all of it! I loved how the everything in the skillet is combined together because I am the type of person who mixes my food as I eat it. The dish was more like an open faced omelette mixed up with yummy breakfast potatoes. Speaking of potatoes, they were my favorite part; packed with so much flavor in every bite. I also love who they give you your own coffee jug at the table, since we all know you will probably have more than one small cup in the AM. Despite the ugly store front which is attached to the strip mall, the inside is pretty cozy and fairly large. Service was fast and very friendly-the waitresses had many tables but still were able to keep up so kudos to them! This breakfast place has been here a long time and got rated very well among other restaurants and now I see why! I left feeling like it was Thanksgiving day! The wait on the weekend was anywhere between 30-45 minute wait for two people, but it certainly was worth it! Food is incredible and reasonably priced! We had the cinnamon roll, Homestead Breakfast, Le Chicken Waffle, and an iced chai. The service was great and super welcoming! There was barely any wait time for us on a weekday morning and the food came out super quick. The cinnamon roll was by far the best part of the meal. It was soft, gooey, and delicious! Definitely will order again next time I come. Our entrees didn't blow us away but maybe it's just the type of meals that we ordered. The chai was okay, although the portion size we were given of it was a bit small. I did enjoy the softness of the Waffle sandwich, and I thought the flavors on the chicken waffle worked well together! It checks my boxes for exemplerary local no-frills dining spots. My positive reviews will generally repeat my dining mantra: quality, consistency, pricing. I'm more discerning about high-end eateries, but I honestly don't frequent them that much. La Peep offers a great menu with loads of variety. The kitchen executes the breakfast/brunch fare consistently. Their omelettes were not too overcooked which I often find at NJ diners. I must rave about the wait staff, host stand and management. Having such a friendly staff really means a lot to me. I would not say it's of equal importance to the kitchen, but I can appreciate the professionalism. And this doesnt mean that the wait staff is particularly chatty - they're just good. Again. No frills - just quality, consistency, pricing and efficiency (new adjective just added!). read more

This was single handily the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I was with my wife and mother in law and never have had a worse dining experience. We sat down and the waitress who was female early 50s blonde hair and well built greeted us (unfortunately I do not know her name). She asked us if we knew what we wanted and we said we needed a few minutes. 15 minutes passed us by and I said excuse me I think we are ready to order. She said I am a little busy at the moment can you wait!? I replied ok. Then she proceeded to take our order. My wife ordered the salmon avocado on toast with scrambled eggs and I ordered the Oreo pancakes with a side of hash browns. Our orders came out wrong (seriously was not a big deal). Instead of a side of hash browns I got a side of corned beef hash. My wife only got salmon avocado toast. We told the waitress I ordered a side of hash browns not corned beef. She did replace the corned beef with hash browns. She fixed the eggs on my wife's order but claimed she never specified 'salmon' on the avocado toast (she did). We decided to move on from the fact that she wasn't a great waitress and was probably having a bad day. However, it quickly got worse. My wife proceeded to eat her eggs and found a hair in it. We decided we had enough with the waitress' demeanor and went to the hostess stand and asked to see a manager. They asked if they could ask what it is regarding before they get her. My wife explained that we had issues with the food and service. The waitress then proceeded to come to our table and asked how our food was. My wife explained there was a hair in the eggs. She replied "ok" and walked away. The manager comes to our table shortly after and asks how she can make it right. She was in her early 20s and was a cute and friendly blonde who was acting in for the manager who wasn't in today. She was professional and friendly. My wife said we didn't want the eggs anymore. She said is there anything else you would like. My wife responded and said "a fruit cup." The waitress then comes over and slams our receipt on the table. The fruit cup was quickly delivered. Shortly after the waitress comes back and said I wish you told me the problems! I decided to step in and told her there was no need to get confrontational with my wife. She said I'm not confrontational I've never had a complaint regarding service. We clearly were uncomfortable and asked the acting manager to wrap up the fruit cup. She did. I spoke with the acting manager and said there is so reason for her to be confrontational and she agreed. We left without leaving a tip which I have never done in my life. However the lack of professionalism this woman warranted deserves serious repercussions. I hope she learns not to treat people like this because it caused a lot of stress on my wife and mother in law. I will be happy to discuss this with the owner of the restaurant. read more

There're quiet a few diners in the area, Le Peep prob has the best egg Benedict, I mean they should be across the board very similar, but they are not. This place is awesome! We visited family in the Perth amboy and East Brunswick area for the weekend and instead of staying at the grandparents house we got an Airbnb in the Edison area. This breakfast spot is a gem! Had a hour wait Saturday but Friday and Sunday we were able to sit just fine. That's right we tried coming all 3 days we were here because that's how good this place is. I had heard a lot about this place and was eager to try brunch here. It definitely lived up to the hype! I had the mango juice and banana walnut pancakes and both were simply delicious. I haven't been here in years and it hasn't changed a bit. For the first time ever I didn't have to wait over 30 minutes. Our dishes were good as usual but service wasn't that great our waitress wasn't to be found. My youngest daughter ordered French onion which she really enjoyed but it was more onion and less broth. My older daughter had the Lobster bisque which she enjoyed. My husband ordered the Leprechaun which is a very hearty portion of corned beef and potatoes in a skillet. I had the Dawn Breaker which like a omelet but in a skillet which was pretty good. I've been going to Le Peep for as long as it's been open, in fact, it was one of my very first places of employment. Went recently to meet up with a friend for brunch and I don't know if I will be back . Atmosphere is a bit run down and not clean. Service was friendly and attentive but the food seemed processed and dry. The last few times I have been to Le Peep, it is clear it wasn't just a "one time" thing. I'm sad, because I used to really love this place & crave the food but unless something changes - it's the Skylark or Edison Diner for us. read more

We checked in via yelp to get on the waitlist, so the wait time to be seated was less than 10 minutes. We were promptly seated and given enough time to review the menu before we were attended to by Victoria, who took our order. I had the Belgian waffle combo with sausage, fried hard eggs, and substituted potatoes for fruit with a vanilla latte to drink. My companion had a difficult order because he is highly allergic to nuts, chocolate, and artificial caramel. She assured that his Heavenly French Toast did not include Nutella and his Iced Apple Cider did not include caramel. Amazing!!!! I am not the biggest brunch person (sorry) but this place might have converted me. There's a line on weekends so make sure you go early or towards closing. The brunch options are ENDLESS but anything you order will be delicious. I ordered a skillet with veggies and eggs over the top. My partner got the humongous breakfast burrito. Both were super delicious. The burrito is huge so order it if you're starving. The service was good and the food came out quickly. Probably the best brunch I've had in the area.
