Came here for dinner as part of the JASPA Conference that was in town. The environment, decor and customer service was great. The salad and main course was great. Rich in flavor and well worth the wait. Sadly, there was a long wait for dessert and the banana pudding was a let down. I would gladly go back again if I had the chance. It's in a great location.

Great French onion soup and was fun watching the Parade from the table. Drinks were good also the escargot with bone marrow was hearty and good.

Mmm the food was soooo good! I can't wait to go back and try another special and have more delicious things! I've never had sweetbreads before, and I figured this would be the best place to try it. Omg it was so tender and the potatoes melted on your mouth. The whole dish was perfection. The service was great too. The tables around us were loud but the ambiance is pretty nice. This was a perfect post art walk dinner!

Le Moyne is one of the newest French restaurants in downtown Nola! I had a visit with some friends and we had a wonderful time! The space is really French inspired so the ambiance really put you in the French mood. We tried a few menu items -- The onion soup was delicious and one of the best I've had! Super good flavor and a lot of cheese! The bone marrow was alright. Nothing special and probably wouldn't order again. Mushroom Vol au Vent was amazing! Super tasty and great flavor. Loved the puff pastry with it. Green goddess salad -- really good too! Crunchy lettuce and a good dressing to salad ratio. Steak Frites was also a fan favorite! Steak was cooked perfectly and always love a French fry pairing! Overall, this spot should be on your list to checkout!

The ambience is great with beautiful wood columns and breathtaking artwork. The food is 10 out of 10 chef Christian design the menu gracefully. The carbonate, mushrooms and salads are delicious and are my favorites but everything was amazing. My 8 years old loved the duck. The drinks are beautiful made with high quality liquors. The service was very knowledgeable and respectful and very responsive.

The food timing was just right for our large party given how many items ordered (on a very busy night). Our sommelier picked perfect pairings. As a table we order probably 12 different dishes +desert to share (this is way to go imo) and each was amazing in its own way. Unique sweet savory salty combos and great presentations. I am not going to go into details as it has been covered in photos and other reviews. The outside ambience was perfect with heat lamps - on a chilly night no one needed a coat. The lighting was soft/perfect and once you entered into the wooden door you are transported into a different world. I would recommend this for family, business meeting or date night. The prices were very reasonable for the service, ambiance and amazing food. We all were just thrilled with N7 / just make the reservation and be prepared for a great night!

I started with the pig ears and had the fried chicken as my entrée, while my colleague chose the vegetarian option. You can find pig ears in Honolulu, but not prepared in this culinary style -- it was a creative and flavorful starter. The fried chicken was perfectly juicy and well-seasoned, and the honey butter added a delightful balance of savory and tangy sweetness. We also enjoyed lemon drop martinis with dinner -- crisp, refreshing, and the perfect complement to our meals. She was a bit chatty but still nice. The menu wasn't extensive at all. The waitress did a good job at selling many of the menu options. I initially had the chicken with carrots and brussel sprouts. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and flavored well. The chicken however was very dry. When the waitress asked how it was, I told her how dry it was and she immediately bright me something else, which was the fish and chips. The fish was hot, crispy, and cooked to perfection. It was tender, however it lacked flavor and seasoning. I asked for hot sauce but never received it. I finally decided to ask for a to go box to take the remaining piece home. The chips "fries" were great. They were freshly cut real potato fries. They were hot and seasoned well. My significant other had the shrimp and grits which he thoroughly enjoyed. As an appetizer we had the salad. Seemed simple and basic enough but was actually very good. I'm unsure of the dressing it was tossed in but it was just enough and well flavored. We skipped on dessert. We considered the cookie plate but since nobody could tell us what kind of cookies they were, so we decided to pass. The best part about our dining experience was the ambiance. The music was nice and the decor was vibrant and swanky . I also had a mocktail flavored with pineapple, jalapeno, lime, mint, and cilantro. It was refreshing. I'm glad we had a chance to check it out before closing but I can honestly say there was no "WOW" factor and likely I wouldn't have been in a hurry to come back.

I'd previously sampled great bites from Chef/Owner Justin Devillier (2016 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: South) at a guest dinner in Charleston, as well as from Exec Chef Joseph Tiedmann at a Farm Dinner in West Palm Beach. But this was my first visit to "the mother ship", housed in a historic century-old building. I decided to start with the Fried Gulf Oysters - Sofrito Purée, Chowchow & Pickled Sweet Peppers, and was glad I did. There's no shortage of oyster dishes in NOLA, and this was a big winner. Next up, when in the South, why not order Fried Green Tomatoes - Burrata, Country Ham & Oregano? Another terrific plate, perhaps the best FGT dish I've had! Finally, my "target dish" arrived, the Shrimp & Okra Gumbo with Andouille, Collard Greens & Popcorn Rice. Really, really good. Very dark roux, as I like, and with plenty of seafood flavor, but more depth as well. Definitely one of the best gumbos I've ever enjoyed. Not like a Twix as someone mentioned. Almost impossible to stick your spoon through and I work out. Seriously shouldn't have to struggle that much. Needs a more flavorful crust, less caramel and more chocolate. They should rename this to caramel tart. The bday ice cream was fantastic and probably saved them from a 3 star review from me so I didn't have to leave on a negative note. The espresso wand was caked with milk froth which should never be. They did clean it but makes me think they don't clean after each pull. Should never see that.

But that on top of the emptiness makes sense with the location, hotel, day and time. Pam took care of us and was a joy as our server. She knew the menu very well and was able to answer all our questions on top of being helpful and productive throughout our visit. We had the skirt steak and king Salmon with a side of fries and stuffed potatoes. The skirt steak was cooked to medium and it was amazingg! Pam asked how I'd like it cooked and suggested it to be cooked at medium rare. I couldn't do that since I'm barely starting to get used to my steaks being cooked at medium, but it was still absolutely delicious. The sauce that was glazed on top, as well as the seasoning of the steak killed it!! The salmon was also delicious. Very flavorful. The stuffed potatoes were ok, we liked their side of fries more than that. Drinks were tasty and refreshing. Worth the price. We also got dessert, a chocolate cake and apple pie. I wasn't expecting to like the apple pie, but wow was that good! And the chocolate cake isn't just any boring cake. Once you break the cake, a chocolaty liquid melts out onto your plate, it was perfection. The restaurant itself is beautiful. They're located on the 14th (if I'm not mistaken) floor and have the best location for beautiful views of downtown New Orleans and the waterfront. In spite of the Yelp ratings, that should have been a huge red flag. Ordered the Old Fashioned from the menu that was very good. Tried to find a bottle of Cabernet for under $150. There were none and only one cab by the glass at $30, so we opted for that (that same bottle sold for $165...math doesn't add up). The menu does not have a lot of variety. No garden salad, so I started with the gumbo. It was good, but would have been better with some bread. We each ordered the ribeye medium with a side of mushrooms and a twice baked potato. The sides were excellent, but the steak was over cooked. To make matters worse, our server was not paying attention so I had to ask another to have our server or a manager come over. The manager came by and promptly took both steaks away to have them remade and comped us another glass of wine. Nice gesture. However, the second steaks were no better than the first. I asked the manager if he really considered what we were looking at to be medium. He assured me it was and held the table light by the steak so I could see it better. You can see by the picture of the second steaks that it was not cooked right either. When the check came, they comped one of the steaks, but not both. Not sure what their logic was, as neither of us ate much of either. Told the server the same and Mr. Manager came back over with both comped. Apparently they were trying to get every red cent out of the few people in the joint!

Trying to make a reservation here is like breaking into Fort Knox, nobody answers the phone and when we finally did get a res two weeks out, they MOVED the res ONE HOUR before we were set to arrive. When we arrived the place actually looked very nice and the hostess was helpful in getting us seated, and those were the last moments of happiness we would experience over the next 2 hours. We ordered bottomless mimosas for around 6/10 people in our party. Every single time our bottle of champagne ran out we had to either ask for more or get up and walk over to the bar to request it. When we finally did order our food we were pretty excited, but little did we know we would have enough time to walk down to the morning parades and catch some beads before it would actually come out. From ordering to when our food arrived was a total of 1.5 HOURS. We were 5 minutes away from just walking out. You would think "wow, this food took so long to arrive! It must be good!" WRONG. They spent the hour and a half making our food to turn our order of french toast into a two sided coin, one side normal looking, the other black as coal. Ahh, who needs the hour and a half long wait for their french toast when you can have the duck and waffles, right? And then they brought us a plate of one waffle and a single duck leg for $30. At this point we started looking around for cameras because we thought we were being pranked. Not a single person in our 10 person party (and that's a lot of chances) found this place even remotely close to mediocre. Others had their chicken sandwiches arrive cold, salads arrive bad, and come on how do you mess a salad up? The worst part was seeing a couple get up and walk out from the wait and realizing we were the poor bastards that stayed. It's a shame because the spot itself looks nice, but I guess if you paint s**t pink, it's still s**t. Don't come here.
