Overcooked and tough Steak Au Poivre, would not recommend unfortunately

Total rating: 3.75 stars The service and atmosphere here were both top-notch; the servers spoke Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, and they were both friendly and receptive. The aesthetics were on the dimmer side, but provided an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The food was half great and half not that good. So let's start with the must-get: The tea infused duck, tai chi fried rice, and seafood crispy noodle were all amazing; the duck was perfectly medium rare and paired beautifully with the sauce where it was both tender and moist; the tai chi fried rice had such an amazing aroma with great wok breath (wok hay) which provided a nice and smoky flavor which if I were to recommend one thing, this would be it; and finally the seafood crispy noodle (not the udon) was creamy, savory, and provided a fun textured contrast between its sauciness and the crispiness of the noodle! These three are the ones our group enjoyed the most and would definitely get again! The not so great were the Steak Au Poivre, Black Truffle Beef Noodle, and the Spicy Wings, both were overcooked and tough to the bite. Some pieces of the wings were okay, but some were so hard we could barely chew it, which suggests it may have been fried for too long. The steak was the most underwhelming and most expensive; the cut of the meat was tough and chewy, and although the charred broccoli was phenomenal, the main star of the show was by far the worse American wagyu we ever had. The truffle beef noodle was heavy on the black pepper, which overpowered the truffle, which was extremely mild. We mentioned these to the server and although no remedy was offered, we still hope they would take our input to heart and continue to improve, for Le Fleur Rouge has so much potential and can easily be one of the best Chinese-French fusion restaurants in all of NYC! Their cocktails were amazing as well, especially the Oldie which our friend would not stop raving about! It was indeed very good with a smoky and fragrant aftertaste. Overall we had a pretty decent time with their amazing service and comfortable aesthetics. For big parties, they also include an automatic 22% tip on the bill, which is a bit high since most places usually adds 20%, but no big deal since they were really nice, it just kinda shocked us a bit. The portions are definitely on the smaller side and the price on the higher end, but if they can tweak everything we mentioned, I have no doubt Le Fleur Rouge can definitely become an extremely popular and successful Chinese-French fusion restaurant! A cozy elegant Chinese fusion spot with obvious French influences perfect for a romantic special occasion or even a regular date night Food: So many delicious options on the menu, the most difficult part was choosing what to eat! We ordered the steak tartare, pork soup dumpling, tea infused duck, and lobster bisque noodle with crispy noodles. We started with the steak tartare, a delicious spin of a french classic. The raw steak was imbued with soy paste, cumin, and chili oil wonderfully accompanied by shrimp chips. The soup dumplings were thick and indulgent packed with liquid porky gold. The duck was so incredibly unctuous and succulent with the hint of tea essence. Perfectly cooked. The lobster bisque noodles were very unique and I loved the textural contrast between the crispy edges of the egg noodle and the creamy brine of the lobster bisque. I loved basically having that nice bisque to lap up after slurping up the noodles. A lovely experience. Service: Quality fine dining experience. I made a reservation for 2 on a Saturday and did not have any troubles with the process. Honestly could walk in and not have to wait long. This place deserves more hype for sure. Ambiance: Love the ambiance and perfectly plays into the Asian French fusion role. Elegant and luxurious without being over the top. I love the lighting, especially near the bar. Looked like the most perfect stereotypical bar you would see on Instagram getting all the rave reviews. Perfect date night spot to impress a nice lady or gentleman.

Happened upon this Park Slope gem, when I was looking for a French place. I was immediately struck by the décor! One of the lamps I order from Amazon as a Christmas gift. All Beautifully designed and decorated The clientele is Brooklyn hip. Mostly well-dressed younger people. I'm immediately seated and I opt for a non-alcoholic cocktail. lime passion fruit It is really refreshing. The seeds in it are a bit much so I eventually sent it back to siphon them out. Immediately I get a new drink. The Peking duck bao style with hoisin sauce I love it! The wonton soup follows right behind. Wow this dish too is fantastic. My waiter Sou Sou keeps checking on me. I assure him everything is just perfect. The wontons are done to perfection. The soup itself not too salty I devour. I end the meal with a healthy dish of green tea ice cream Nice. All in all an amazing chance encounter. I'll definitely be back!

I'm always looking for a unique dining experience, and I can confidently say there's nothing like this place. The dishes and drinks were very thoughtful, and we were impressed by how accommodating the staff were. The décor fit the vibe of the food and it wasn't too loud on a Saturday night. I tried the Osmanthus Blossom drink that had egg white in it and it was a beautiful texture, quite strong, with subtle sweet notes. We split the char siu puff pastry, had a lovely crust and the flavors inside were savory and delicious. But I have never had anything like the tea infused duck. Every part of the plate had a job to do--the crispy skin, tender meat soaking in the jus (which the waiter pours on in front of you), the dab of umami chutney, the ricotta, the bok choy and berries all worked together in perfect harmony. It was ridiculously expensive but I'll be thinking about that meal for a long time.

I want to start out by saying the thing that pushes this place to 5 stars is the service. Our waiter was helpful, efficient but casual and friendly without being over the top. We also really loved the decor and vibe of the place. The food is good! Some of it very good, some of it fine and some would probably try something else. Our favorites including the shrimp French toast, the spare ribs and "beignets". The French onion spring rolls were pretty good as was the eggplant. Would love to try some of their dim sum...but probably with someone else's wallet as it's quite pricey!

Celebrated our anniversary with a dinner here and highly recommend! Service was quick and wonderful, there was even live jazz! We got the fried rice, spicy chicken, and the spring rolls. Drinks were great too

Amazing dinner, amazing food, amazing service. Amazing ambiance . Wasn't too crowded / busy for dinner it was Monday night. Timing of the servers was great. What stood out was the lobster bisque recommendation to get crispy noodle vs udon. The server recommended the crispy noodle to go with the glass of Chardonnay. He was on point.

The decor is pretty cool and the service was fast and attentive. All of the dumplings were outstanding, especially the pork buns. Each came with slightly different dipping sauce. The scallion pancakes were very thin and crispy. The noodles were just ok, not a lot of flavor. Excited to try more dishes! The place is brand new and right now only serving appetizers and dim sum.

Cannot rave enough about this place. If you're looking for bold Chinese fab lots, look no further. The inside of the restaurant takes you back in time with their vintage decor. The food was amazing and the cocktails were right there with it. I can't wait to return!

After walking by Fleur's stunning entrance when it first opened a few weeks ago, I knew I had to try it. Park Slope (and honestly anywhere in NYC that's not Chinatown, Sunset Park, or Flushing) is seriously lacking in authentic Asian food, but I'm thrilled to say that Fleur changes everything. My highly anticipated visit far exceeded all expectations. The interior is exquisite - classy and elegant yet cozy and charming. The servers, one after another, were incredibly lovely - warm, pleasant, and gracious. And the food was not only authentic and delicious, but also clearly crafted with care. My mom and I ordered tapas-style: Malantou salad, Four Joy Gluten (aka seitan) salad, Noodles with Scallion Oil, and Shanghai wonton soup, and each dish was exceptional. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the malantou salad could have used a bit more flavor, but honestly, it was all wonderful. Our favorite was the Noodles with Scallion Oil - simple yet scrumptious One of the servers explained that their dumplings, buns, and wontons are handmade every morning, and the difference is notable in freshness, texture, and depth of flavor. All to say that I am SO glad this place opened, and finally offers Park Slope its well-deserved all-star Asian restaurant. This place will certainly be a huge hit, so be sure to try it before the lines get too long!

Baked Pork Pastry was a little meh, it was extremely rich and ours was in that awkward in-between temperature. - Chive dumplings are pretty shrimp-forward, good, but shrimp-forward. - If there's something you want and it doesn't make its way to you, ask!
