These five star ratings are well deserved! Maybe I've become a cynic, but I sometimes wonder when I see so many glowing reviews. That said, Ozzy and LB Locks and Security deserve the praise! What do I need from a locksmith? 1) Professionalism 2) Efficiency 3) Reasonable prices 4) Not being an a#@hole (Seriously.) What are nice to haves from a locksmith? 1) Friendliness 2) Courteous reminders on timing 3) Going above and beyond to recommend other products I had been waiting three weeks for a rekey from another locksmith company that my home warranty had connected me with and finally received approval from the home warranty company to find my own locksmith. I reached out to a few locksmiths on Yelp yesterday and after receiving multiple quotes, I felt good about going with Ozzy based on his professional and friendly response, his prices, and his availability. Although Ozzy arrived a little after the appointed time this morning, he kept me apprised of his arrival time via text message, which I appreciated so much. It's a little thing, but it goes a long way! Ozzy and his assistant worked so quickly to rekey three locks. We also talked about another lock that I wanted swapped out so I ended up hiring him on the spot for that service as well. Ozzy also provided recommendations for video doorbells and regular doorbells, just to get me set up and safe in my new home. He had me test all of the keys to make sure I was happy, realigned one of the locks (so I didn't have to push against the door to make it close), and was a positive presence on a morning that was otherwise quite challenging! I've already recommended him to my real estate agent and I plan to reach out the next time I have additional needs. I could not recommend Ozzy more highly! Been contemplating on going "keyless" for a while. After recently picking up two Teslas, it was time to never have to carry a key or fob around in my pocket again. I called the company, and my call was answered right away. Then I was told that they cannot come today though It claimed to be 24/7 business. I asked if they charge for coming out - $45. OK. I said that I do not need to replace the lock, I need to repair it, and I know that it could be repaired. I asked if they decide not to repair the lock, would it still be $45 for a visit. He did not give me an answer and started pressing me to replace a lock without even seeing it! Very unpleasant and unprofessional. Update on the comment by the owner. This is my honest review about what have happened to warn Yelpers about bad businesses. I rely on other Yelpers honest reviews. Shaming me on leaving 1-star reviews is really funny. I do not know what "pressure" this owner is accusing me of. It was his locksmith who put pressure on me on the phone to replace the lock without even seeing it! :). If this owner would rather contact me via DM, apologize for my experience with his business and ask me to remove my review, I would consider doing it. Thankfully, there are still good businesses around. I called the other locksmith: my call was answered, the quoted price was $125 with a repair, a locksmith was dispatched right away and arrived 25 minutes later. He repaired my lock in 20 minutes.
