He maintained clear communication with me throughout the entire time he was onsite and explained what work was feasible versus not as well as provided alternative recommendations. There was no "upselling," so another star for that. Prices are for the most part reasonable. However, beware, they charge an upfront of $95 callout fee, which I was not informed about initially when I was scheduling the service appointment. Our mailbox key broke in the mailbox. It needed to be extracted and we needed new keys. We were able to make the appointment and the response time was good. A couple of days later two technicians came out and did the job quickly and efficiently. They were very professional. The charge was $95 total for the key extraction and two new keys. Such a nice professional business! I called a couple of locksmith services and got the run around (price quotes, rude staff, one man yelled at me saying he owned all the reseda locksmiths and that he didn't appreciate me price comparing ). Happily I decided to check reviews on Yelp! Lion had reviews from people saying they arrived promptly, were polite, wore masks and didn't price gauge and they didn't. The price given over the phone by Mia was what the two men charged. Mia explained the pricing to me in a patient professional manner such a nice change from the other companies I spoke to! Even with the service call fee it was still more than 25% less than the estimates who kept saying if we had professional locks it would be a additional fee. I recommend them to rekey locks (service I requested) and they didn't try to aggressively upsell nope the two men shoes me what rekeying was and the van with all the gear AND they wore masks without being asked! I was referred to Lion by my general contractor as part of an extensive home renovation project. The scope for Lion was pretty broad (for me at least) and included installing a 4k security camera system, Doorbird intercom system (including ability to open my front gate remotely) and upgrading my in ceiling Sonos speakers throughout the house.
