I was trapped out of my apartment this morning and my property manager refused to help as it was "tenant negligence" i started to panic looking for a locksmith because my dog was in my apartment I called to a couple other places that were quoting insane prices (over $200) and saying it wasn't a guarantee that they could get the lock open.... Very nice and honest guy. Been doing his job for 40-plus years. He arrived early. Provided realistic expectations and didn't over promise & under deliver. Regarding a locked file cabinet, he said he will probably be able to pick the lock but if that doesn't work he would have to drill a hole in the lock to open it. When I asked if a spare key could be made, he even gave me a number to a lock and key company and said I can try calling them to see if a code could be used to make a spare key. He ended up being able to pick the lock very quickly with no damage to the file cabinet. He exceeded expectations and charged a fair price. I will call him back for other jobs now that I know he is trustworthy, reasonably-priced, competent at his job, and a nice low-key (no pun intended) patient guy. read more

But I didn't want to possibly make the situation worse and asked him to come out, which he did the next day before normal business hours which I was very happy about. I called Shaoul to repair/replace a broken patio door deadbolt. I called him early in the afternoon and he was done in a couple of hours, even though the job turned out to be more complicated than expected. Shaoul found an issue with the original hardware installation that was causing keys to catch and stick (and eventually break the lock). He fixed it so that it now locks and unlocks smoothly, like butter! The final cost was very reasonable, considering the work and troubleshooting he had to do. Highly, highly recommended. read more

I needed my front door lock changed. I was told by the first place I called that they had to come over and see the lock prior to quoting. And there was a service fee for the visit.
