In one word: incredible! We enjoyed the friendly arrival to the elevator, and then up to the top floor for a great view, We have eaten all over the world and everyone in our party found the food just delicious! We enjoyed the unique way the restaurant made the small condiments available--highlights were the Persian cucumbers, fresh hummus and olive oil with I believe was a potato dish. We tried a number of grilled meats which were all tender and absolutely cooked to perfection. I also noticed a few grilled vegetable dishes which would be perfect for my daughter since she is Vegan! Thank you again for a great experience!
I enjoyed Laser Wolf's prix fixe format where your grill choice automatically comes with silky hummus, warm pita and a daily spread of four salatim. Before the main even arrives you're already happy! The pickled vegetables, baba ganoush, cabbage salad and olives kept things exciting from the start. The Steak Shishlik was the real moment though, beautifully charred, tender and served on a metal platter with pickled red onions and sumac tahini. Just really solid, satisfying dish. Drinks were a vibe too. The Pomegranate Cosmo was deep pink, orchid-topped and delicious. The Hot Crush brought a bright kiwi flavor with just enough spice to keep it interesting. And the Brown Sugar Soft Serve with halva oat crumble to finish? Light, a little crunchy and the perfect ending.
Beautiful setting with great rooftop views. Outstanding server very patiently explaining to us novices how their menu works. An interesting way of eating some very good food.
I visited this Israeli spot for lunch with a few others a while back. As others have mentioned, you're partially paying for the very nice view, and since it's a hotel restaurant. It was a bit warm at our table, and the friendly staff moved us to a cooler area. To drink, I ordered the Wolf's Fang for $18, a blend of rums, falernum, arak, passionfruit, orange, and oat milk. As described, it was their take on a milk punch, and wasn't too sweet with a bright hint of citrus. I would recommend it. The hummus was good, being thick with a strong tahini flavor, though I have preferred others. Outside of the hummus, the daily salatim included a mix of mostly pickled items. First, there was some pickled cauliflower and carrots with a bit of turmeric. The second salatim was a more unique and spicier pineapple slaw, which was refreshing, and had some herbal flavor from parsley or something similar. The third was a cabbage slaw, which was alright, as I found it a bit too lightly seasoned. The last was a mix of cucumbers, olives, and other pickles, which was standard and tasty. Alongside all of this, the pita was warm and fresh, and the staff refilled everything when we asked. For the main course, I chose the Steak Shashlik, which they spell as shishlik, for $46, which came with tahini and some pickled onions. The steak was tender and well seasoned, and the tahini added a distinctive nuttiness. I especially enjoyed making a mini sandwich with the steak, tahini, pineapple pickle, and pita. Others at the table ordered the Spicy Lamb Kofta and other shashlik options, including Chicken and Trout. In terms of sides, someone got the $15 Fries with tahina ketchup, which they enjoyed. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meal, with no one ordering dessert as a few walked over to the tasty Bertoni Gelato nearby. This place is a tad expensive, but I wouldn't mind going back. Even as a fan of pickles, I wish the salatim were a bit more varied, such as including an eggplant or bean-based mezze. I presume the dinner version is a bit more varied, as there are many more salatim, but they should put a bit more effort into the lunch one as well.
Ive been here several times now and the food is consistently delicious as well as the service and drinks. If its nice out its a perfect place to go with a nice view. We have also been when its cold and they cover it up so its fine. If you can eat like me they give unlimited saltim pita and hummus.
Amazing Israeli food located on the roof of The Hoxton Hotel in Williamsburg. The location provide fantastic views of Manhattan (go at sunset). The food and service were both top notch. The space itself is huge with an open kitchen and chill vibes. You can order a la carte, but might as well do the prix fixe. For $50-$59 per person, you get unlimited salatim which included some of the most delicious hummus, babaganoush, potatoes and 8 other options along with unlimited house made pita served warm and a meat option. I went with Lamb & Beef Koobideh which was so good. You end with brown sugar soft serve ice cream for dessert! Cocktails were great especially the No Big Dill (ford's gin, herb infused vermouth, olive oil vodka, cucumber). Reservations are a must! Go!!!
Unlimited refills for bread AND dips???? SAY LESS. Their hummus was by far the best on their menu!!! I also really enjoyed the cabbage+fennel, roasted beets, and mushrooms+apples from the Salatim platter. The steak shishlik and spicy lamb kofta entrees were also SO delicious!! Especially with the rice and tahini sauce mmmm. And their dessert was actually really good too!
What a meal and what a view, Laser Wolf was truly fantastic. A few people had told me it was their favorite restaurant in the city, and when I peeped the menu and saw just how small it was, I was a little surprised by their sentiment. But, if you only do a few things, you probably do them pretty damn near perfect, and that was the case here. We had a late lunch reservation and enjoyed their prix fixe, which is the only real option aside from some smaller side dish options. The prix fixe came with your choice of protein, hummus, pita, and the daily selection of salatim, which happened to be cucumber, olive and pickles, Baba ghanoush, and a cabbage salad/slaw. Everything was great, but we really tore through the cucumbers and cabbage. The included sides were all bottomless, so they would stop by to refill if needed. For protein we got the chicken, steak, and lamb all to share. Again, each one was fantastic. I couldn't even pick a favorite because they were all so good. I would absolutely get any of them again, and would hope to get all of them again. We also got an order of the fries, which were so good and crispy. They were pretty thick so I wasn't expecting the crispy crunch, but they were cooked wonderfully. To drink I got the Get Shishlik'd, a nice frozen cocktail that was perfect for a warm and sunny day overlooking the city. Service was very friendly and food came out pretty quickly. Servers checked in frequently to make sure we had what we needed, but never made us feel pressured to hurry.
Everything was as expected and more... Loved it! The dining room is very lively (on a Thursday night) with incredible views. I was concerned about the room temp. as it was very cold outside, but with the heaters blasting and the plastic coverings, it wasn't a problem. Starting with that Salatim platter, all the food was super good and fresh. If you're not into spicy food, some of the dips on the platter might not be your thing, but we loved it. I read a review that said the hummus is the best they ever tasted, and I totally agree. The fresh pita was the perfect accompaniment--don't be shy to ask for more. And the platter is a lot of food. We were tempted to try one of the ala carte items suggested by our waiter, but glad we didn't as we couldn't finish everything. This is a really well-run restaurant. Our waiter, Richie, was super helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We were about to pass on the ice cream (lactose intolerant), but Richie offered really tasty non-dairy sorbet instead.
I love this place. Everything taste so fresh. The portions are big so share away! It's quite an arrangement of dishes. I would recommend opening up the pita and putting everything inside so you get all flavors in one bite. The server recommended the Endive and apple salad and boy did it not disappoint. It had so much flavor and just the perfect amount of spice, not overpowering. And the sauce is consisted of an apple butter and lemon vinaigrette, absolutely delicious. I was slopping it up. I really love that all the ingridents they use are infused with the Israel culture, for instance the nuts were Dukkah a Middle Eastern spice blend of nut seeds and spices with a warm toasty and nutty flavor. Absolutely delicious. Music is funky and groovy. I'd recommend coming here before 12 PM on a Sunday if you don't have a reservation as it does get pretty busy. However the server and manager were both attentive even with the whole place filled. And the best part it's on the top floor so you get some amazing views of east river and lower east side. Day or night, you'll have a fantastic view of the city that never sleep.
I had been meaning to go to Laser Wolf for so long and finally got a chance to go on a Thursday night! It's located on the rooftop of a hotel with a beautiful view of the skyline so it's probably very nice during warmer months. We each got a drink - cosmo, spicy drink, and get shishlikd, and all were delicious. The star of the show was the salatim. It came out beautifully as a spread with warm, thick pita along with a piece of paper explaining what each item was. We quickly became full from just the salatim. For the mains, we got the chicken, lamb meatballs, and eggplant. Although at first glance the portions looked small, it was actually perfect considering the salatim and dessert. For dessert, we were given the brown sugar soft serve which was actually pretty large and I didn't end up finishing it. We had so many leftovers and the meal was amazing!
I've been to the original location in Philly, but I loved it so much that I knew I had to come here too. It's very hard to get a reservation here, but I was able to get a later dinner time for a group five. I think this is a great place to take a group of friends who have different dietary restrictions since everyone chooses their own main, but you still get to share the salatim as a group. My friend is a vegetarian, and they had plenty of options for her to choose from. I loved trying all of the salatim with my friends; it's really hard to not fill up before the entrees come! It's already a ton of food, but I really recommend getting the french fries. They're not your normal fries. They're super thick but crispy and perfectly seasoned. The only complaint I have about the place is that we were seated at the last table at the end so the heater didn't reach us. It was a freezing night, so we all had to keep our winter coats on. I wish they had a portable heat lamp next to our table instead of on the wall. The ice cream at the end was delicious, but we were all so cold that no one finished it.
Really cool location, and worth a visit for the ambiance and unique dining experience! I really liked the concept of the salatim, my favorites being the dips and hummus. One of the best hummus' I've had in the city! For the mains, we tried the lamb kofta, beef and lamb kofta, ocean trout, and grilled eggplant. I unfortunately found the trout to be lacking in flavor and overall an odd texture. My favorite dish was probably the beef and lamb kofta, as it was well seasoned and balanced well with the tahini sauce. Not sure I'd come back again unless for a special occasion. But be sure to come hungry!
I was bookmarking must-go places for dinner in Brooklyn and Laser Wolf was not only one of them, it was the restaurant atop the Hoxton Hotel, which is where I was staying. I was stoked when my sister was able to score a reservation on a Wednesday evening at 7:15 pm since it seemed to be very hard to secure reservations between 6-9 pm. As guests of the hotel, all we had to do was to take the elevator down from our room to another elevator leading up to the top floor, so we thought 7:00 would be a good time to arrive. There is a hostess seated in front of the elevator and she WILL stop you if you're too early, like we (sort of) were. So be warned, you'll have to get through her first. We grabbed a drink at the lobby bar (you can take your drinks upstairs to the restaurant but you have to settle your tab at the bar). Once we were called for our reservation, we went upstairs and was seated by another host. Then we waited... after a few mins, a guy came by and plopped down some waters and handed us menus. I assume he was our server since he didn't bother to introduce himself or welcome us, etc. Anyway, we ordered two proteins (salmon and the lamb/beef koobideh) and an order of the fries. The salatim arrived - a variety of dips, pickles, vegetables - served w/ fresh pita bread and I def give a star to the runner that explained all of the various dishes to us. The fries came soon after and this along with the salatim was the best part of the meal. Thick, fat fries perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and potato-y on the inside. The proteins were another story... salmon was kind of undercooked (for my liking) and was extremely SALTY. The koobideh was okay but that too was very SALTY. A small bowl of rice came with it and it was good but I would've preferred plain rice to offset the saltiness from the meat and fish. Also, the portion of the proteins were ridiculously small. I get that the prices incorporate the bottomless salatim but who is going there to fill up on pita bread and hummus? Service left a LOT to be desired. I get that people in Williamsburg are hip and cool but calm down; you're not THAT cool and quite frankly, your food isn't that cool either. Come here for the fries and the views. Or not. read more
This spot lasers in on your wolf instinct with amazing meats, fish, and veggies! This spot has sooooooo much hype, so we went here being like idk if it can live up to it! It does! The food was amazing!!!! With your main skewer I got lamb and steak (I was hungry), and she got the salmon, all that came with hot fresh pitas and dips galore. The pitas and dips keep coming, hummus, baba nosh, eggplant, pickled veggies, Olives, my gosh it was all so good! It was impressive that wait staff was awesome and attentive. We went here for date night. But it would be great for a large group too. The views are beautiful, take in that beautiful NYC skyline! In short: - Amazing Food - Attentive Staff - Beautiful rooftop skyline views - Great for date night or large group or private event - I will be back! - If you read this far you should just go already.... Okay, not sure that my review is necessary or will even add any deep or novel insights into this excellent and highly popular middle eastern / Israeli restaurant. I went to graduate school in Israel for a few years many moons ago and grew to love all the veggie salads and pickles and pit and hummus joints that dot Tel Aviv and all throughout the country and these guys do it well. They give you a platter of unlimited salads and dips, keep the warm pita bread coming, and you just order the protein, ranging from about $52-60/each all in and for dessert they serve soft serve in a cup with tahini sauce and roasted nuts / seeds and the who thing was just yummy. We also got the fries and they rocked as well. Fun delicious meal with solid service and views. Would welcome a chance to revisit next time I'm here visiting my son here in Williamsburg. Just a hard table to score most nights. Yummy ! Five stars. read more
I have been to Zahav several times, Abe Fisher, and frequently at Dizengoff in Philly. This is NOT Zahav. Laser Wolf is very good, but a bit disappointing. We went during Super Bowl Sunday, and other than a brief break for half time, the service was great. - The views are great. Table spacing is good too. Very pleasant place for dinner. - The mezze plate was pretty good. A few of the dishes were so - so (pineapple and celery, cabbage and celery). - The pita was ok too - but my recollection was the flat breads at Zahav were better. - The meat on the steak shishlik was tough. - I thought the wings with dates and harissa were just ok. Others at the table really liked them. - The fish was great. Zahav was better and one of my all time favorite restaurants. And arguably, Abe Fisher is the best of Solomonov's empire (the variants of kasha varniska, tzimmes, latkes are quite original and amazing). I think a bit more attention is needed to maintain quality. read more

We got a resy on a Saturday evening for three and we were all looking forward to eating at Laser Wolf. I was especially jazzed to be eating at a hipster Williamsburg place I see on TikTok as a tourist from Missouri! So there's really only 6-8 entrees to choose from and they come with the Salatim (Israeli Salads & Spreads), pita, and dessert. I'll start with the Salatim. For me the best bites were the hummus, pillowy soft pita, pickles & olives, Lutenitsa, and the beets w/sour cherry. I have had the jarred Lutenitsa (spread made of peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, etc) numerous times but this really put that to shame. Very bright and fresh. I don't even love beets but they were just right... earthy and the little pop of acid! I heard the French Fries w/ Tehina Ketchup were a must so we ordered those as well. The French Fries are perfectly cooked. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside but the standout was the tehina ketchup. I asked for an extra cup. If they bottled it I'd eat it every day. For our entrees we chose the Brisket Kebab, the Lamb + Beef Koobideh, and the Salmon Shishlik. I was not wowed with the brisket but the other two were absolutely delicious. The brisket was dry. The koobideh was juicy and spiced just right with fresh mint leaves. Both the koobideh and the kebab plates were dressed with perfectly cooked pearl onions and you had me at the onions. Loved them! The salmon was the big surprise here. It was brushed with a semi sweet tamarind sauce and cooked perfectly. If I had it to do over again I'd order the salmon and I'm a meat eater. The dessert is Brown Sugar Soft Serve with Burnt Date Molasses + Peanut Butter Bamba dust. They could have made the dessert a throw away but they didn't. It's excellent. So this is essentially a prix fixe and for roughly $55 a person in New York City it's a pretty good value. Are the entrees small as others have mentioned? Yes they are on the smaller side but you already know you're here for the Salatim experience. The service is friendly and pretty minimal. This is a happening place and I'm not cool enough to be here but it was a great experience and I'd gladly return. Side note: Gorgeous view of Manhattan from the Hoxton Hotel. read more

This restaurant has one of the best views in NYC and food that's actually good! Tough reservation but we played the Resy notify game and snagged a table on a Friday night. I tried: + Get shishlik'd cocktail - perfect + Crime of passion cocktail - perfect + Saz-arak cocktail - great + Salatim - perfect, it's what you come for + Amba-spiced eggplant - best of the two entrees that we got + Lamb and beef koobideh - decent So this was not immediately made clear to us, but the whole table must participate in a pre-fixe where you choose an entree (each person must order one), then salatim and soft serve are included - which is why each skewer is like $40+. I think it would make more sense to use pre-fixe language on the written menu, because we had some back and forth with the server before we realized everyone is required to order at least one entree in order to get the salatim. Other than that, the food was fantastic. I need to visit the OG Philly location, but this one is amazing too! read more
Wow, love this place. Snagged a reservation for two on a Saturday night off of Resy notify, but it looked like you might have been able to walk in if you came early around 5? The food was actually so delicious, it tasted so fresh and vibrant and the flavors were delightful. The salmon was actually to die for, and the steak was really good as well. Love love love. Also completely nut free!!! The view and ambiance would have been great on the rooftop but unfortunately it was rainy and cloudy when we went. The service was kind of slow to be honest but the food was so good that I don't mind. read more
TLDR: Definitely worth the struggle to get a reservation! The restaurant itself is located in a beautiful hotel and sports unmatched views of Manhattan. You start off by each picking an a main course that includes a pita and this huge platter of different dips and pickled vegetables (they were all so fun to try) and the hummus was so creamy and delicious. I definitely recommend the chicken- it was perfectly juicy and tender. And spiced so well! The meal finished off with an included soft serve dessert that was so unique from the tahini flavor. read more

I always say the most important factor is *always* the food. Laser Wolf didn't disappoint. We loved every item on their Salatim. Could have had that for the evening and left very happy. But. Definitely get the mains. We had the cauliflower and I'll say this is NOT to be missed. The presentation, the flavor. It was perfect. The salmon was very good. Lightly prepared and not overcooked. We chose the brisket as the meat. I'm it a huge fan of chopped or ground meats but it was very good. Excellent flavor and everyone loved it. We also had the date chicken wings to start. They were so good with the tahini dip. Excellent way to begin the meal. For drinks I had the Salty Lion, which was outstanding. Even the nonalcoholic drinks were excellent. So now that the most important component passed with flying colors, on to the other considerations. Service and ambiance. Both were stellar and as expected and appreciated in a higher class dining establishment (though nowadays, we all know neither is a given anymore regardless of the price point). That view though. NYC at its finest. We first arrived presents. We were odd with the view of the beautiful city. But as the sun was setting, I thought this is amazing. Nothing could be better. And then, of course, the New York skyline lit up at night. We were awed throughout the meal. The restaurant is pleasant and comfortable. Inviting, with an open kitchen so you can watch the magic happen. And on to that as the final reason Laser Wolf of a MUST dine when visiting NY: the price. It was under $100 per person. True. We only had one alcoholic drink but we feasted like royalty and had a sumptuous evening filled with beautiful food presented abundantly and served with care. Laser Wolf for the win. read more
The salads and grilled meats (lamb and beef koobideh and steak kebabs) were good but not great. The wings were overly sweet and pretty average. Taking into account how hard it is to get a table, it's not really worth it. It's hard to live up to the hype. read more

Came for diner for a second time and like the first time were so pleased with all the food and drinks! We also received a complementary drink for our anniversary. We had the steak and spicy lamb from the grill. The service is excellent, our sever had recommendations for the grill and also a mocktail. Will come again! read more
Been dying to try this place but finally scored some reservations. Great views, good service and great food. Nothing needs to be said about the Salatim. The grill - server recommended the brisket, lamb merguez and steak. I went with the chicken since everyone keeps talking about it. Chicken was smokey and tender. The steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. Now I just wish we went with the waiter recommends out of curiosity. The fries are super crunchy. Nice have. The wings were great but you can honestly skip. Not missing out on anything. Dessert was lovely. All in all, a great spot for the experience of it. read more
NOOO chance you leave this fine rooftop, Israeli establishment hungry. The dining experience is quite unique! You'll order a main entree and they'll pair it with 10 small side dishes (Salatim) which I've included a picture of below. This appetizer is MASSIVE, but it's sooooo delicious. When the waiter brings everything over I'd recommend asking them to go through each item and they do switch them out depending on when you go. Our favorite was the sweet potatoes! The mains we chose came out on skewers-- lamb + beef koobideh and steak shishlik. These were also quite lovely. The grilled onions on the side are also stupendous. If that doesn't sound like enough food, they have a handful of a la carte options to choose from to accompany the massive food assortment. Last but not least was their brown sugar soft serve that's covered in a sesame drizzle. Save a tiny bit of room for this if you can as it's delicious! Also, vibes = stupendous. Beautiful interior and you forget you're on a rooftop until you remember every now and then to look to the side to see the East River. Would highly recommend this spot, reservations are a bit tricky but definitely doable if you set an alarm. read more

I was blown away by Laser Wolf. I had heard good things about it and was definitely skeptical about prices at first, but left incredibly satisfied with my meal and experience. Firstly, upon entering the restaurant, we took an elevator to the rooftop where we were greeted by stunning views of Manhattan and the river. I ordered a Dirty Dancing, which was a delicious cocktail. We did run into a slight issue where the glass chipped right as my boyfriend took a sip and I think he might've swallowed glass?!? But the waitstaff was kind enough to replace it for us. The food itself was delicious. All the "appetizers" are refillable so the salatim with the several small plates, the naan, and the hummus in the middle are subject for refills. That hummus was INCREDIBLE. My boyfriend and I were so surprised at how smooth and light it was. All the side dishes as well were so good. But the real star of the show were those mains. The Salmon Shishlik and the Lamb and Beef Kubideh were INCREDIBLE. I never even knew someone could cook salmon like that. The entire time my boyfriend and I were babbling on about how soft and how fluffy it was. The rice, too! Since it was our anniversary, the staff was kind enough to give us complimentary drinks (non alcoholic and alcoholic) and I am so appreciative!!! Also do NOT sleep on that ice cream for dessert!! It is DELICIOIS and I would've had thirds and fourths if room allowed. Great place, minus the glass hiccup at the beginning! read more

Came here for my birthday while in town. Views were amazing and food was good. We loved the appetizers that came with each dish. The kabobs were tasty too. The restaurant was very dark though, to the point we couldn't read the menu, and the service was lackluster. read more

One of my fav meals of 2024 so far!! We were seated at the counter, which i wouldn't recommend. I'd try to get a table reservation, and even better if it's during summer when the terrace is open. We had the pre-fixe which came with salatim, a choice of meat and a dessert. For meats, we had the chicken shishlik & steak shishlik. Omg the meats are grilled to perfection. I'm not usually a huge fan of ordering chicken at restaurants but this was soo tender and juicy. The steak too!! The salatim was great- the hummus was my favorite. I wish the baba ganoush was salted a bit more, then it would've really hit the spot. Salatim is unlimited which is nice because you get to try a bit of everything! We also had the fries a la carte. The fries were fried perfectly too! Super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We finished off with their brown sugar soft serve, best way to end a meal. The meal was kind of pricey for the portions though. We were stuffed but I wish the meat portion was a bit bigger. I'd still come back though!! Highly recommend. read more
Loved the Israeli food here! I enjoyed the prix fixed lamb beef koobideh even though it is only one skewer. If you want a bigger portion, and you like seafood, try the dorade fish. I enjoyed the salatim which is unlimited and comes with freshly hot pita bread. Some standouts were the fennel + orange, the Turkish brussel sprouts, and the hummus. Great views of Manhattan too! read more
For some reason, I didn't realize this restaurant was on a rooftop which made this experience even better. The views were incredible! Our reservation was at 7:30pm so we were able to see the sunset in Manhattan, absolutely stunning! Onto the food. We started with the salatim. The hummus and pita was fantastic. Did I mention the deal includes unlimited salatim and pita? Pretty awesome. We also ordered the chicken shishlik, the lamb and beef koobideh, and the cauliflower. These were all so tasty! My favorite was the chicken! Finally, we had dessert. By this point I was pretty full but it was exactly what we needed to finish off the meal. The staff were kind enough to put a candle in my dessert for my birthday too! :) Just a few notes: the price written next to the mains is inclusive of the salatim + main + dessert. Getting a res here is pretty tough, but if you try first thing at 10am, 3 weeks in advance you should be in pretty good luck. Laserwolf is a Williamsburg must try! I wouldn't dress super casually here as a heads up. read more
I'd been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint! First, the space is stylish and the views of the Manhattan skylight were pretty breathtaking. We started with the salatim, which was fun to try. They were all interesting and delicious. The pita was fluffy and the hummus was definitely a hit. We all shared the mains - trout, salmon, chicken, beef, lamb kofta. They were all flavorful and perfectly cooked. Perhaps the trout was the least favorite because the flavor was a bit too strong. The brown sugar soft-serve was a nice way to end our meal. Service was friendly and attentive. I'd definitely recommend this place for a nice, special meal. read more

I was amazed by how much food you get and the prices, you pick the main entree you want (we got the salmon, chicken, lamb, beef to share), and pay that price but everyone gets unlimited amounts of the dip. Was able to snag a last minute reservation for a double date. We got a 10pm reservation. Laser Wolf is located in The Hoxton Hotel. Once you enter and take the elevator up, it's smaller than I thought. It's more stretched long and the tables are nicely spread out. The view is AMAZING. Super gorgeous. What we tried- Crime of Passion (drink): Yummy. Would order this again. Loved the passion fruit flavor, very refreshing. Salatim: Basically a collection of vegetable side dishes and dips. I usually dislike hummus (I don't like beans in any form) and I loooved their hummus. Fresh and well textured. The olive oil drizzle was chefs kiss. All of the Salatim sides were good! Especially the red ones (I can't remember the names, sorry!) pita was fresh. Date Harissa Wings w/ Tehina Ranch: These smelled soo good when they came but the flavor came up a bit short for me. The date/harissa flavor was nice but not mind-blowing. They were cooked nicely though. The tehina ranch didn't do it for me. French Fries w/ Tehina Ketchup: After reading all the reviews on their famous French fries, it was a bit of a let down. Sure they were crispy and soft on the inside but the flavor wasn't there. Didn't care for the Tehina ketchup either. The fries were cooked very nicely tho! Just need more flavor. Lamb & Beef Koobideh: Oh. My. God. SO GOOD. So juicy and well cooked, the flavor was delicious. I wish we ordered this twice. It came with grilled onions and everything went together. Still thinking about this. Whole Trout: Decent. Fish was well cooked and the skin was crispy but something was missing. Maybe a sauce or a spice? Thought this could've been executed better. Note: not deboned so be careful! Amba-Spiced Eggplant: This was BOMB. Garlicky, creamy, salty and sour. Such a flavor bomb and the eggplant was cooked down and glazed well. The grill flavor was yummy. Brown Sugar Soft Serve: With sesame magic shell, sour cherries and crunchies. We were so full but this was the perfect ending to the meal. The soft serve was tasty, not too sweet and with a creamy finish. The sesame magic shell is SO GOOD. Like a tahini/sesame sauce that hardens on the soft serve. Sesame seeds and some type of rice puffed crunchies. The sour cherries were a bit unnecessary for me but still good on their own. Overall, Laser Wolf is closer to a 4.5 for me. Some of the stuff we ordered was exceptional and some things fell short for me, between a 4 and 5 seemed appropriate. Service was good, they were nice but could've checked in with us more since we wanted to order more drinks/sides. Had to hail them down a few times but all good tho. So good! Came here for a birthday celebration. This place is so hard to get a reservation so I finally organized in advance with my resy alert and scored a reservation. The restaurant is located on the top floor of a hotel so was bit of a maze to navigate. The place is open kitchen and I loved that you can see the live action of everything going on. I got a seat at the open kitchen counter which was awesome Dishes are prix fixe, known for the charcoal grilled meats which you can see at the open kitchen. Each prix fixe comes with a course of sides that are unlimited refills, the entree (charcoal grills meats and vegetables of choice), and a dessert - brown sugar soft serve. This place doesn't disappoint!! I been here twice and on my second time we still had an amazing experience. The food is fresh and the appetizers are amazing. It is a prefix so this is all part of what you pay for and the best part is that you can ask for more for no extra price. You get a protein option per person and a dessert. Alright, alright, I'll tell you, but don't be FRIGHTENED! This was my meal, to reserve it so early That I had to pick the earliest available time slot on a Monday evening, 5 pm. Everybody from every corner of Brooklyn, and the Lower East Side, even some parts of Queens Then as you sit down and get this beautiful view of Midtown Manhattan New York City, of course. New York City? How did it look? For a city over four hundred years old, pretty damn good I might add. But then a young female hipster server came forward to our little table. We went to Laser Wolf for a work dinner and our colleagues told us that they were happy to have gotten a reservation for the 5 of us. Not being from NYC we obviously didn't know but were glad to go. Arriving at the restaurant you will take an elevator up to this Brooklyn rooftop & will immediately see a great view of the Manhattan skyline. Basically all tables will get a good view, I imagine even better when it's not freezing outside as they had everything sealed with see-through plastic. Still, the view was great & they kept everything warm. Receiving the menu, the first thing to understand when looking at the entrée prices (usually around $50) was that every entrée always comes with a appetizer/dip platter and even the dessert included. Once we had understood that we decided to share the cauliflower and the aubergine entrées and waited for the appetizer, which - we had been told already - was most likely going to be the star of the show. Overall, that proved to be the truth. When the platter arrived, it looked amazing, with 10 different dips, salads and appetizers plus pita bread & hummus, it looked great. Trying everything is a must and I was quickly able to identify my favorites (the pickles, the potatoes, the fennel salad & the hummus for sure). This platter comes with free refills on everything which is an amazing option that we did not make use of at all. While we were still digging into the platter, the entrées already arrived, all accompanied by rice. The cauliflower was good, maybe covered with too many toasted pine nuts (they took over most of the flavor) and the aubergine was tender and well seasoned. Overall however, the entrées were good but did not stand a chance against the appetizers. To finish, we received their signature dessert, served in a plastic cup with the tahina shell and spiced sunflower seeds. The icecream was good and I liked the combination with tahina and the sunflower seeds, however it was not to everybody's taste in our group. Overall, this was a very good restaurant experience. Next time, I would even recommend going for the appetizer plate on its own, which is also something that they offer, including free refills on it as well. read more
I didn't enjoy it. Not sure if it's the massive amount of food you are forced to order, or the heat, or the combination together. The space needs to have better AC for summer weather, the beautiful city view doesn't matter anymore when the shade has to be down and the space is like a giant sauna, therefore, not much appetite when you were just sweating throughout the meal. Not loving the concept of $50ish per entree for 1 skewer and Salatim. Among the 9 Salatim, we only like 3 of them. For entree, tuna was okay but cheap quality; short rib was chewy, steak was overcooked, koobieh was too lamby for me. Unfortunately for the higher standard for skewers for its calling price, it should have been amazing. Again, maybe it's the heat condition. All of our favorite dish was the fries appetizer, extra crispy was the winner. It could be the best fries ever. Second favorite was the pita, yes, the pita, fluffy and warm. Date & Harrisa Wing : good but nothing special. Soft Serve dessert : can't taste any brown sugar and it felt overly heavy with creams. Cocktails was bland and water down. It was true that you have to order an entree pp otherwise they charge $24 for Salatim to share. We asked what if we order all the appetizer, you still have to get an entree. 4 of us we didn't even finish any single Salatim.... You are really here to pay for the view, but before they figure out the AC situation in summer time, good luck on visiting! read more
A really special experience. High expectations, after previously dining at Zahav in Philly this past year, were met. Bourbon cocktail was potent but well balanced! Every one of the salatim items were delectable. Favored the pineapple w/celery, gigante beans, and the Israeli pickles. The pita was everything it should be and wiping the amazing hummus pure enjoyment. My son had the lamb kofta and his fiance the coal roasted beets and they were extremely satisfied with their choices. Lisa E. and I were considering the cauliflower but went all out for the whole branzino w/ ginger and tomato! Wow! This was a huge fish! Fresh moist tender spicy crispy skinned beauty Served whole but thoughtfully deboned. I called heads, she called tails, everyone wins! ! Gave portions to the kids and still have some left for dinner tonight. I was so full, shamefully left 1/2 of the delicious soft serve dessert on the table. Tip - Found 5!hours parking at nearby pier for $7 on Spot Hero - walked the local area before dinner. A few street spots noted but perhaps becauee of time if year and time of day. read more

Finally got to try Laser Wolf and it lived up to the hype! The restaurant is beautiful with great views of Manhattan. I love the pre fixe style menu - leaves ordering less stressful but allows you to make small decisions, your type of protein and if you want extras. The unlimited dips are the star of the show. We ordered the chicken, steak, and dorade for proteins. We thought the dorade was the best but none were incredible. Love the small soft serve as a sweet treat to end!
