This is the only mechanic shop I trust with my car. The staff is so friendly and helpful and I always have a great experience taking my car here. You won't regret bringing your car here as well. Thank you Lander Auto Service! read more

A friend went there because of the so-called FREE diagnostic. They saw an easy mark and tried to shake them down for over 4K. 4K!!! MY friend then took their car to Midas, where it was fixed in a few hours for 3k LESS!! Crooks all the way around. Run, flee. FREE means no lube when they bend you over. read more

I called here after another shop was too busy to check my car out. The crew was so nice although they said they are not a body shop they were willing to check out my car. They checked my entire car and gave me helpful tips to maintain my car in good shape! Great & helpful crew here!! read more

I highly recommend this location. Rabert and Hilda were great conversationalists, very open, extremely helpful, and really know how to provide the best service for your car. They are knowledgeable about their work, and ensure the customer is made aware of how the maintenance is going every step of the way. Hilda was the one who serviced my car. Her work was done quickly and efficiently. I was really satisfied with the result. This will definitely be the place I come back to for everything my car needs! read more

My husband and I were experiencing some issues with our vehicle and decided to look for a shop that could take care of the long overdue repairs. After a Google and yelp search we came across Landers auto service and decided we would use him based upon close proximity to our house and the reviews we had read that the shop had received . Robert, the owner was very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable in our choice to use him. Everything on our car was original and led to some issues , so unfortunately the repairs led to a couple of mistakes by a technician. Those mistakes left us without a vehicle for longer than expected. However, Robert handled the issue appropriately and also came out of his own pocket to see to it that we had a vehicle to drive while repairs were made. I mean, that won our vote on the spot because that is something you don't see anymore. He cared about us, the consumer, and getting us on the road safely. Honest, and exceptional customer service ! Need I say more? Thank you Landers Auto Repair read more

10/10 if I could! Super friendly staff they are very thorough in explaining what and why your car needs any repairs. Comfortable environment to know they car about your well being since they are working on your vehicle. Wait time is not an issue if you really think about the time they take to make sure you will drive a reliable car. Thank you! read more

I called on the phone before I came after bad experiences at other repair shops. What sold me was that Rabert told me "We are not part changers, we are auto repair technicians". So I came from Merced and Rabert asked if I needed a ride home. He personally drove me 30 minutes to Merced and we had a great conversation on the way. He explained in detail everything that was wrong so there was no confusion. He even told me that I had a broken engine mount which multiple repair shops did not find. Thank you Rabert. I will be back. read more

Bought my oil change service with Groupon but failed to read the FINE PRINT. Full synthetic oil change for newer vehicles require a "cartridge" versus a regular oil filter. I was charged an additional $18 for this cartridge in addition to the $36. Not a completely happy customer. I wish I had read more carefully and/or they had disclosed this info to me before and not after I redeemed my Groupon voucher. Will not be coming back. ‍ #partiallymyfault read more

I had the absolute best experience when taking my car to Lander Auto Service. The owner, Robert, knows how to treat a customer. He came across as a very genuine, honest and knowledgeable mechanic. I had a LOT of work to be done. One of the things I asked him to do was check my A/C, as it wasn't running cold anymore. He said he would do the A/C service / recharge, but warned me that he wouldn't know if there was a bigger problem until after that was done. I was fully prepared to pay for the service, knowing that I may end up still not having A/C afterwards. He DID do the service, and STILL ended up not charging me for it because he wanted me to drive it for a few days and have him look at it again. He did so much work on my car, which he estimated would take about 20 hours. Dropped it off on Friday morning, expecting it back on Monday morning. He called me at 4:00 on Saturday, and was finished. I paid over $100 less than what he quoted me since he received a discount on parts and passed the discount on to me. He showed me every part he removed from my car, as well as the boxes from the replacement parts. He stands behind his work, and told me to bring my car in if I have any concerns at all - no charge to look at it, and if there's a problem with any of the work he did, he'll make it right. He has my business from now on, and everyone in my family's as well, if I have anything to say about it. read more

I had my 2019 Charger worked on a couple weeks ago(oil change and tire rotation) and the service was awesome. They even hand torqued my wheels. I have two other vehicles I will be bringing there. Thanks again Lander Auto Service... read more

Was looking forward to coming here to get work done on my car since there was such great reviews and good star rating but I'm pretty disappointed that they turned me away do to I have my parts already. Very nice, honest, fast. I spontaneously stopped by and they fit me in to their busy schedule and were able to fix my breaks for a fair and honest price. Good coffee too. I would recommend to anyone. read more

The work they do here is great. Thanks Rabert for all you do and your generous spirit!

Took my car here thinking I had problems with my cv axel, the guy did a diagnostic. Turns out he says my brakes were extremely bad. Unsafe to drive. Needed to be fixed asap. And was going to charge me 494 plus tax for all four brakes. Told him I needed some time to figure out money, had a friend look at them and turns out they were completely fine!!!! Almost brand new. Nothing wrong with them at all. I am a mother and went alone, no male with me. And I am assuming he took advantage of me being a woman and a mother and tried to charge me that much for something I didn't need whatsoever. What a scam read more

I had a situation where the window on my 2011 Toyota Highlander went down and would not come back up. The motor was working but the window was not returning. I stopped into a shop and they said I would need to make an appt. I was pretty bummed because I cannot leave my window down and going to Toyota in Modesto was not an option that day. I called Lander automotive and they were willing to take a look on the spot. The guy was able to get it fixed within about 30 minutes! I was very happy with the service, price and overall customer service. read more

I've been a customer for almost 7 years. Rabert has always been the most reliable mechanic. He has never failed to do the job professionally and really cares about his clients. Rabert authentically cares for his customers and sincerely desires to treat you with respect and honesty. We first found him as the only mechanic to offer a free diagnostic in Turlock. After he fixed my son's car and showed us the bad part and called around to get us the best parts price, we made him our family mechanic. He has consistently done all he can since we've known him to respond quickly, diagnose quickly, explain our options, show us the damaged parts replaced and get our cars back on the road in no time. We use his services for everything from oil changes and tune ups to changing fuel pumps and even getting contamination out of our gas tank! We trust Rabert. read more

They are open on Saturdays, which great because I work out of town and it is impossible for me to get to the shop on regular weekday hours. I took my Mercedes Benz to get a bearing on an anlternator. The diagnostic is free and the work was done rather quickly and much more inexpensive than the dealer. The service was magnificent. I feel comfortable that the shop and personnel are honest. I am going to take my 1995 , SL 320 to them! read more

I just have to say that I love love love this place and there should be more places like this where people feel more comfortable getting their vehicle service knowing that they're not going to get ripped off and they have really great customer service and amazing communication. They treated me like a valued customer instead of just a female where others may take advantage of women coming in to get their vehicle serviced. not only do they tell you what they're going to do but even showed me and educated me on parts of the process which I found to be awesome and very valuable. I dealt mostly with Robert but I also dealt with Hilda and they are both amazing and I just had a great experience here. I would refuse to take my vehicle anywhere else. Also my bill ended up being cheaper than estimated because there were some things that just did not need to be done and I like the fact that they're very honest and not going to do unnecessary work and charge you more than they should. They really deserve 10 stars and not 5. It was a great first time experience with them. Oh and I can't forget to mention the homemade tea and donuts I was offered when I first came in a couple days ago! Thank you soooo much Robert and Hilda and anyone else that was involved!! read more

They give great customer service! And fair prices. Highly recommend to anyone with car problems.

My go to mechanic! My mom has been going to Robert for 10+ years now, as i've been going to him for about 4! He is the most trustworthy mechanic i've ever come across, there has never been a moment he's tried to be a fraud or anything in that sort. Being a young woman i don't know much about cars, but Robert always explains his best and never takes advantage of me not being anywhere near knowledge of cars. No matter what day or time, they both have always gone above and beyond to accommodate me and my time and make sure i have my car when i need it and i couldnt be more greatful. He appreciates all the customers he has, and he's always doing his best to make sure you leave the shop satisfied with car without breaking your bank. I can't express how much i would refer both Robert and the other female mechanic to anybody of any car, they have the best customer service and i can never see myself or my family going anywhere else whether it's for an oil change or a whole different service. Absolute grade A+ service every single time i've walked through that door and they deserve all the awards and swrvice to come! read more

Called Day before and they were able to fit me in to check breaks. Totally expected full break job but they called to tell me breaks were fine it was just hardware that was not installed on my last break job. Super honest and fixed and had me on my way in just a short time! read more

Very impressed with service. My first time taking my Audi Q7 there and not many shops will work on Audi besides dealer. They were very up front with me about everything they found and called me every time as they got deeper into issue, even texting me pics and explaining what was going on. My Audi is a 2007 and had other small issues which they informed me about, but only fixed what was necessary now to get my vehicle operating and safe. Technician was very honest with me about my vehicle, in that once these performance vehicles reach a certain age and mileage, then I will have more issues to deal with down the road. They gave me the option on all my parts to go factory or after market with the price difference and their recommendation. The exhaust manifold snapped off up near engine (which caused additional damage to engine because we chose to drive it another 10 miles home) and he was able to have a welder come into shop and repair it as opposed to buying the complete exhaust piece from Audi which saved me close to 2,000 dollars. Very honest and reliable mechanic that I highly recommend. read more
