I can't thank Sammy enough for the incredible help he gave me when my car suddenly broke down on my drive home from the Bay Area. After stopping at a stop sign, my car wouldn't accelerate past 20 mph, and I ended up having it towed to his shop. Sammy quickly figured out the issue, my car had completely run out of oil, which ended up damaging the VVT solenoid and knock sensor. What really stood out was how clearly he explained everything to me. I had no idea my car was burning oil faster than normal, especially since I still had over 3,000 miles left before my next scheduled oil change. He took the time to educate me, recommending I come in every 1,500 miles to keep an eye on it going forward. This is definitely the most affordable and reliable place to service anything! They always have my FR-S back to me sooner than I expect it, even when I replaced my clutch. I called every shop in turlock and neighboring cities and not one could replace the entire clutch for less then 1600$, and some shops even tried to convince me to resurface the dual mask-flywheel rather than replacing it which would have my car back in the shop in no time, but Sammy won't do a job unless it's done right. They had it done in less then three days for under 1200$ using Oem quality parts that surrounding shops weren't going to use. Small or big repairs theyll make it easy and have you done quickly! If I swap an LS motor in the Frs I'm coming here! read more

We pulled into my in-law's place in Hilmar right as our Odyssey lost complete power on a Friday afternoon. I called the nearest dealer to help me troubleshoot and possibly set an appointment to repair, but due to Covid-19, their service department was on reduced hours and not open weekends. I called Turlock Auto and the owner, Sammy, narrowed down the problem over the phone (bad alternator) and made arrangements to receive it and get the repair done. We had the van at their shop that evening and they finished the diagnosis--turned out they were completely right about the alternator. We had originally planned our trip to be just over the weekend and Turlock Auto ordered the part and made the repair the next day to keep us on our original vacation timeline. I originally bought my '04 Chevy Avalanche from Scott Davis Auto. This is their go to mechanic, who from the minute I walked in the door(actually from the phone call before that), they were helpful and knowledgeable. They walked me through the problems and had me out in a day. I have gone back three times within the last year and these guys get me in and out. The dash gauges needed repair, the engine heads needed new sensors, the temperature gauge in the heater/engine needed replacing. Now I'm taking it in to get my power steering pump replace. These guys have under scored the cost for me and I have left happy each time. Now they know my truck, but I wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommend this auto shop. read more

I walked in here about a week or two ago with an issue in my engine. I was assisted as soon as I walked in and explained to them that my engine was making a weird noise. Turns out one of my hose clamps fell off, so they put another one back on and I was out of there in less than 25 mins, without a charge. Sunday afternoon I was sitting at a local resturaunt, ate with family, then got back into my car. Tried to start it up and nothing. I got a friend to jump the car but as soon as we took the cables off it died. So I looked up shops near by and came across them. Called the number and wasnt expecting anyone to answer on a sunday but they did. They got a tow truck to bring the car in and change the starter and battery. I also got the oil done. It was an amazing experience. Not a single shop would go out of there way on a sunday to help anyone out. They did and gave me an excellent price. I will be using them from here on out. With my experience here, I would not recommend that anybody take their vehicles here. We spent almost $1000 in repairs and expected quality work. After we ended up having issues a week later, they didn't take any responsibility and we ended up taking it to another shop to get diagnosed. They confirmed that the issue were caused by the work the mechanics did here. We also found stripped bolts and parts pieced together. I don't mind issues arising after work is done, since not everything ends up perfect, but I did expect for this business to own up to their mistakes and to make it right. Shady business.. read more

Wow! Where do I start. This shop is hands down the most honest I've ever been too. My Chevy was having these weird sputtering issues that I could not figure out. I took it to a few shops before I came here and they gave me some crazy prices so I held back. A friend of mine recommended Turlock Auto Service and man it was a hell of a recommendation. They figured out my problem in in no time and it turned out to be a dirty injector. They have a really cool injector cleaner there at the shop and the car is good as new now.
