Once again E&M Auto has delivered some excellent customer service and taken care of our auto repairs! We moved to Turlock 10 years ago and did quite a bit of research to find a good auto shop. We have two older vehicles that require quite a bit of maintenance. E&M is a very honest and trustworthy shop. They don't try to "oversell" and they deliver on their quotes and work. Their prices are fair and better than most. Both John and Roe have impressed us since day 1 and we will continue to bring both our vehicles here. We highly recommend them for any car maintenance you may need! read more

Been coming here since 2019/2020 and continue to take multipule vehicles here. Most of the time I just need an oil change, but when I do have a serious issue, they are my go to! My updated review is well past due and they have helped me with quite a few big jobs since my last post. My wife has had fuel tank issues for quite a while and her own mechanic kept saying it was nothing, finally told her that I'm taking it to E&M, they correctly diagnosed and succesfully replaced it with no issues in good time and fair price. They have done other major jobs on my current truck (oil leak/gasket replacement) with no complications. They are honest, fair, communicate great, and no bullshit. I'm grateful and happy to have a reliable mechanic like them. I bring my wife's vehicles here for oil changes and other services as well as my own. I bring my moms and nieces vehicles here when needed as well. read more

I want to let people know that if they're looking for a good, honest auto repair shop, E&M is the spot. Once again, they did not disappoint me. I went in there asking questions about an older vehicle that's not running, and was thinking of getting it fixed for my daughter and John. The owner was so honest, so helpful, so professional that I was amazed. With his honesty and his focus on what is best for the customer, he is 100% real. Thank you, John and the staff at E&M Auto Repair. Keep doing what you're doing, and you'll receive more blessings your way for doing the right thing. Charlotte read more

Professional and quick, was complete in about 2 hours. They negotiated the price to fit my budget

My car was making a squeaking sound so I had to take it in. I found E & M based on reviews and I was very happy with their work. They were very friendly and listened to my concerns. They called to let me know what the problem was and how much it would cost to fix. Plus, when I asked about other issues, they didn't try to up-sell me and gave me honest information. Not only that! They contacted me a few days later to check in and see if I was happy with their service. It's my new go-to car repair place! read more

E & M Auto Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Turlock, California

Highly skilled, straight shooters. Now my go-to 1st check shop for my auto needs. As a first-time customer they treated me like an old friend and pricing was exceptionally fair for the quality services they provided; As a returning customer it's been no different. Quick to pinpoint the issues and provide creative, rational solutions for all sorts of problems. These guys want to serve their customers best and provide top quality work. E&M Auto is a no-brainer for me read more

i had my car in for one thing but then they tell me that i had one more thing. the interesting but disgusting thing that they did is treated me like I AM A STUPID WOMEN BRINGING THE CAR IN FOR REPAIR. John allowed me to pay then walk to look for the car but to find my car with service ESC and the transaction control lights on. i confronted him and he tried to tell that is how i left my car with them which was BULL SHIT. Went from a o ring by the thermometer to 2 tire sensors and not inform me about the service ESC and transaction. the other thing i asked them to check my back tires because we suspected having a leak which they did not do it and now i have to go somewhere else to have the tire checked which will cost me more money. John think that i will go back to a service which sucks. if they read this deal with it. i would not suggest them for anyone even my worse enemy as well. read more

Great service! They know what they are doing here, Very helpful and trustworthy.will definitely be coming back next time I need service!

I've made a lot of bad decisions in my life but bringing my truck to E &M auto was a one of the best decisions I could do. John and his crew did a great job on my brakes at a fair price. Definitely would recommend this shop for your repair needs. read more

My BMW had been leaking oil and needed to get it checked out ASAP. Not all repair shops work on foreign cars, after calling 4 repair shops I decided to call E& M Auto Service to see if they work on BMW's. YES!! I was glad to get in the next day. I was due for oil change too might as well get it done. My cigarette lighters were not working I asked if they could check fuses too.. As I was in waiting area I happen to see coworker that was having his car repaired, BMW too. He had nothing but great things to say about service and prices here. After they finished oil change they gave me and estimate to repair oil leak, $330.00. All together with oil change, new fuses, and repair oil leak...less than $450. If I would have taken my car to BMW dealership it would have cost me double what I paid for same repairs here. Check in on Yelp, they have $10 coupon too ! read more

I have been taking my cars here since I moved to Turlock years ago. I love their honesty and customer service is good. Prices are fair and I don't have to worry about getting ripped off, which is a relief. read more

Great group of guys I had my car towed here and they were able to replace the alternator and get it up in running by the end of the day. Pros: Quick Service Knowledgeable Dependable Cons: They stick to the labor time book and charge for jobs by what the labor hours listed. read more

I love this place. I needed a mechanic after moving to the area and did the obvious... I turned to Yelp. The reviews were good so I gave them a shot and I'm glad I did. As mechanics, these guys know their stuff. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that if I have a problem, they can find a solution. I've been taking my car to them for a few years now and there hasn't been a single time where they didn't know what was up. If I ask for an explanation, they're happy to explain. You generally don't get that from mechanics, so that alone is enough to keep me coming back. When it comes to customer service, I can only sing their praises. John, Sam, beard guy... all phenomenal. They always take their time with me and make me feel like a friend rather than a customer that needs to get in and out ASAP. Other than the good Yelp reviews, my initial reason for choosing E&M was they were within walking distance from my house. I've since moved across town and still go to them. I now need to take a bus to pick up my car when it's ready but it's a small price to pay for a team this good. read more

Excellent service, work, and pricing! Brought my car here for repairs, because a few months ago I was quoted an astronomical amount for repairs by another local repair shop. I called E & M asking for a quote for the same repairs, John was very fair in his quote. He looked over my car felt all was good and didn't feel it needed the repairs I was quoted. Fast forward to last week, I knew my rear brakes were bad and without hesitation I called and brought it here. They let me know I needed an oil change and two new rear tires as well, again they were very fair in their pricing, and I had them do the oil change and tires, along with the brakes and rotors. If you're looking for a honest and reliable auto repair shop, this is your place! read more

Brought my Subaru in to be checked out after the dealership recommended nearly everything be fixed on it. They were honest and very reasonably priced for what actually did need to be addressed. Very happy to find a trustworthy mechanic after being so sad to move away from my trusted one in SoCal. read more

When it comes to mechanics I'm always skeptic on whether or not they're honest when they know a customer doesn't know much about cars. I was recommended here by a family friend who told me to ask for Roe. He was so great and made me feel so much better when it came to explaining what was wrong with my car. He got my battery replaced and on the road very fast. Fast forward months later, my car was messing up. He was honest and told me what was happening to it. I even called him asking questions and he had no problems explaining everything. He honestly cares about his customers. read more

Fixed my AC the same day I walked in. Very friendly and knowledgeable! They even showed me the hose that needed to be replaced. It was in bad condition. Good price! read more

Not too shabby, they got me in right away. Guy at the desk helping me was nice enough, not overly talkative or friendly but just to-the-point. Waited about 45 minutes despite the shop seeming fairly empty. The price was decent, make sure to check in and use their coupon deal. read more

Easy appointment. Quick work. Honest diagnosis. Mechanic checked back after a couple days to see if all was well. Would return. read more

I truly value these guys. They are honest and open about what's going on. He gives you real deal and tell you what to do that best interests your wallet, not theirs. Only thing I have issue with is location. It's in a cooped up spot so they're unseen. read more

Solid. Trustworthy. Dependable. Simple as that. I've taken anything from my 83 K5 blazer to my parents Mercedes. They get original manufacturer replacement parts when needed and turn around time is usually very quick. read more

I went to E&M with an airbag issue for my Lincoln Navigator. They were professional and helped with my issue. Most importantly didn't try to give me some huge bill. I will only be taking my vehicle to E&M. Thank you guys for being honest mechanics. read more

Finding a mechanic you can trust and feel confident about can be a challenge, especially for a single elderly female! John and staff at this family owned shop in Turlock was just what I needed from my first visit! They are very thorough and at the same time they don't overdo it and help me save money wherever possible. I bought a used Lexus SUV and have had them do a list of recommended repairs, as I could afford them each month. I also bought all 4 new tires from them, and again they were competitively priced for the quality of tires that met my needs and they provide free rotations! Friendly, helpful, good pricing, trustworthy, and they care about the quality of work they deliver! I would highly recommend E&M! read more

Took my car here to have a water pump replaced on it dropped it off in the morning at 8. It took until 5 to finish. I was told that they had other viechles they were working on with would not be a problem if they would have told me that to begin with. But it is also my fault for not expressing my time frame in the beginning they do good work thats why 4 stars read more

I took my 99 Honda accord because it had an oil leak... I Was told by few that it could be the rear main seal leaking, and i knew that would cost me A LOT to get fixed. My uncle told me to give these guys a call and have them look at it, and see what they say. So i made an appointment and had the car inspected. The technician/owner called me after few hours and said the leak is coming from the Distributor o-ring, and said it was an easy fix. Picked the car up at the end of the day, and it has been a week with zero drops of oil :) E&M Saved me hundreds of dollars, and i want to Thank you for that!! read more

Super fast & convenient service. Took my 2015 Lexus here for an oil change & I will be back next time! Thank! read more

First of all, I'm not mad or anything, I'm just disappointed. I think the front desk guy is really helpful, understanding, and honest. He has great customer service. On that, this place is 5 stars. They have the best prices in town and are here to help you. I came in today for a diagnostic of my airbag light and he got me in and gave me an answer in like 30 min. He said I have to go to the dealer to have my seat sensor fixed. Which I'm fine with and he didn't charge me for the diagnostic which I greatly appreciate! So heres where I'm disappointed, I came in with an intermittent airbag light on my dash, and it wouldn't come on when I was by myself only when I had a passenger. But when I got it back today now it's constantly on AND the passenger seatbelt warning light is on saying that it detects a passenger in my seat and they don't have their seatbelt on. But no one is in the seat! And I didn't have this issue at all before I brought it in. Completely new problem. :/ The guy said to take it to a dealer to get it reset but I had no time to go to Modesto because I had work and headed to LA tomorrow morning. So now I got a car back in even worse condition. I'm not sure if they put the things back together properly again. Again I'm just disappointed. I got an oil change here before for a great price and they have 5 stars so I was hoping for some improvement. But if they couldn't fix the issue, that's fine with me, but at least give the car back in the same condition, not worse. They did say it would be okay to take to LA tomorrow morning but I genuinely wouldn't feel safe now that the light is on 24/7 as opposed to before I brought it in. read more

Awesome service. Very easy going and not pushy like some places can be. Fantastic price for an oil change and it was super quick! I called to get a quote and they got me in the same day which was super convenient! I will definitely return in the future. Thanks E&M! read more

You can trust this place and the owner. I typically don't trust mechanics. I do all of my own work on my vehicles because I find that mechanics overcharge and consistently fail to fix problems. I've had mechanics break things and blame me, I've had things "break on their own due to random circumstances" within 5 minutes of oil changes, etc. For the past several years, I have done my own work and I have enjoyed success and frugality. I took my jeep to John (owner) several months ago because I faced an air conditioning problem I just couldn't fix. He fixed it, UNDERcharged me, and thanked me for my business. I took my jeep to him again for a separate issue. He looked at it for a minute and told me the problem. He told me how to fix it and he didn't charge me. Of course he could have "looked at it" for a fee, but he knew I liked doing my own work. I took my jeep to him a third time for another issue. He UNDERcharged me again, so I left a tip. And when I say "UNDER," I mean he charged $50 where a dealer would have charged $200-$300. What can I say. Don't waste your time elsewhere, seriously. read more
