i had my car in for one thing but then they tell me that i had one more thing. the interesting but disgusting thing that they did is treated me like I AM A STUPID WOMEN BRINGING THE CAR IN FOR REPAIR. John allowed me to pay then walk to look for the car but to find my car with service ESC and the transaction control lights on. i confronted him and he tried to tell that is how i left my car with them which was BULL SHIT. Went from a o ring by the thermometer to 2 tire sensors and not inform me about the service ESC and transaction. the other thing i asked them to check my back tires because we suspected having a leak which they did not do it and now i have to go somewhere else to have the tire checked which will cost me more money. John think that i will go back to a service which sucks. if they read this deal with it. i would not suggest them for anyone even my worse enemy as well. read more

My BMW had been leaking oil and needed to get it checked out ASAP. Not all repair shops work on foreign cars, after calling 4 repair shops I decided to call E& M Auto Service to see if they work on BMW's. YES!! I was glad to get in the next day. I was due for oil change too might as well get it done. My cigarette lighters were not working I asked if they could check fuses too.. As I was in waiting area I happen to see coworker that was having his car repaired, BMW too. He had nothing but great things to say about service and prices here. After they finished oil change they gave me and estimate to repair oil leak, $330.00. All together with oil change, new fuses, and repair oil leak...less than $450. I love this place. I needed a mechanic after moving to the area and did the obvious... I turned to Yelp. The reviews were good so I gave them a shot and I'm glad I did. As mechanics, these guys know their stuff. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that if I have a problem, they can find a solution. I've been taking my car to them for a few years now and there hasn't been a single time where they didn't know what was up. If I ask for an explanation, they're happy to explain. You generally don't get that from mechanics, so that alone is enough to keep me coming back. When it comes to customer service, I can only sing their praises. John, Sam, beard guy... all phenomenal. They always take their time with me and make me feel like a friend rather than a customer that needs to get in and out ASAP. Other than the good Yelp reviews, my initial reason for choosing E&M was they were within walking distance from my house. I've since moved across town and still go to them. Excellent service, work, and pricing! Brought my car here for repairs, because a few months ago I was quoted an astronomical amount for repairs by another local repair shop. I called E & M asking for a quote for the same repairs, John was very fair in his quote. He looked over my car felt all was good and didn't feel it needed the repairs I was quoted. Fast forward to last week, I knew my rear brakes were bad and without hesitation I called and brought it here. They let me know I needed an oil change and two new rear tires as well, again they were very fair in their pricing, and I had them do the oil change and tires, along with the brakes and rotors. They are very thorough and at the same time they don't overdo it and help me save money wherever possible. First of all, I'm not mad or anything, I'm just disappointed. I think the front desk guy is really helpful, understanding, and honest. He has great customer service. On that, this place is 5 stars. They have the best prices in town and are here to help you. I came in today for a diagnostic of my airbag light and he got me in and gave me an answer in like 30 min. He said I have to go to the dealer to have my seat sensor fixed. Which I'm fine with and he didn't charge me for the diagnostic which I greatly appreciate! So heres where I'm disappointed, I came in with an intermittent airbag light on my dash, and it wouldn't come on when I was by myself only when I had a passenger. But when I got it back today now it's constantly on AND the passenger seatbelt warning light is on saying that it detects a passenger in my seat and they don't have their seatbelt on. But no one is in the seat! And I didn't have this issue at all before I brought it in. Completely new problem. :/ The guy said to take it to a dealer to get it reset but I had no time to go to Modesto because I had work and headed to LA tomorrow morning. So now I got a car back in even worse condition. I'm not sure if they put the things back together properly again. Again I'm just disappointed. I got an oil change here before for a great price and they have 5 stars so I was hoping for some improvement. But if they couldn't fix the issue, that's fine with me, but at least give the car back in the same condition, not worse. They did say it would be okay to take to LA tomorrow morning but I genuinely wouldn't feel safe now that the light is on 24/7 as opposed to before I brought it in. read more

I took my 99 Honda accord because it had an oil leak... I Was told by few that it could be the rear main seal leaking, and i knew that would cost me A LOT to get fixed. My uncle told me to give these guys a call and have them look at it, and see what they say. So i made an appointment and had the car inspected. The technician/owner called me after few hours and said the leak is coming from the Distributor o-ring, and said it was an easy fix.
