They suck ever since the original owner sold the place. I took my van in a few years ago for a 60k tune up, they forgot to refill my transmission, they cracked my oil filter oil heater housing. They were supposed to change it out for an aluminum one, they didn't. I had to take back in because they didn't install it right it leak oil all over the place. I had have the engine power washed to get all of oil out of the engine valley. Now I had to take it to get the manifold replaced because they stripped out the threads when they replaced the oil heater. read more

Because I called to get a estimate on getting a fly wheel and torque converter and to get my fly plate replaced and she told me to go to a tire place absolutely ridiculous if you don't know what parts are in cars, you shouldn't be working in a auto shop by the way, the parts go in my transmission, lower engine area lmfaooooo!!! read more

check out engine reving when in gear and foot on break several attempts were made to cause the problem to occur without success. i appreciate the effort with a problem that is very allusive. did uncover a problem with the connection to the battery that might be causing the engine reving. We've had our truck in the shop several times over the past couple of years. Each time we were assured that the truck was in good condition except for the repair it needed at that time, and with the low mileage on the vehicle it would run for many more years. They even went on to say that buying a new truck was not a good idea as the new vehicles had more problems than trucks like ours. We're not naive and realized this was a sales pitch for their services, but with the price of a new truck we kept going back each time a new problem popped up. After 2 of the repairs we had issues that were minor problems with their work that we had to take the truck back in, which they did cover at no cost (even paid for the tow service once), which was good customer service since it did cause us inconvenience each time. Now, after spending approximately $5,000 total, we had another oil leak after taking the truck to a quicky oil change place. We went back to the oil change place and they checked the truck out for free and said we needed a new rear main seal. We then called The Auto Shop and they said it would be an expensive job but they didn't trust the other lube shop for a diagnosis and we should bring it into them to double check. We specifically asked how much that would cost and were told absolutely no charge to check it out. So we made an appointment, took it in and were called back with an estimate close to $2,000. We said we didn't want to put anymore money into it and would come and pick it up. When we went to get it they charged us a $100 inspection fee! If we knew that we would not taken it in. It's not so much the amount, but since we had already given them so much of our business and were told not to trust someone else's diagnosis and there wouldn't be a cost for them to look at it is just wrong. We should not have listened to them telling us from the beginning about how well built and reliable our vehicle was and that each repair we had done would keep it on the road for for years to come. We would have been better off saving the $5,000 and trading it in when it had lower mileage, especially now it has another major repair needed. Buyer beware of sales pitches and get it writing what the estimate will cost up front. Don't trust what people tell you!!! read more

I originally wanted the brakes looked at because I think I could hear them squeaking, and he explained the estimated percentage I had left on the front and rear brakes and that it was really the drums that needed resurfacing. The real test for me though was after a repair for my Toyota Avalon. A part that they replaced began to smoke a week after installation. I called up and told them what had happened, and they towed me from 1800 McHenry to their shop, went to Sacramento to get the new part I needed and had me back on the road in 4 hours the same day!! And when a problem arises, you can tell the good from the bad Mechanics just by the way they "handle it!" You know what Best part was? They didn't charge me for labor, parts or anything. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!! I have been coming to the shop for years when I've had a problem with my vehicle Bruce was always honest fair and upfront but recently I had to bring my car to you and at that time I found out there was a new owner I describe what was going on with my car and within about three hours I got a phone call back saying that my head gasket was leaking and two spots because of a issue with my water pump to the tune of $2500 so I asked if what they were doing on the engine word take care of what I would have to do to have a tuneup and he assured me that that would be a totally separate job to the tune of over $400 I explained I had an extended warranty and they proceeded to tell me it was probably best to handle it myself pay the bill and get reimbursed because they don't like to have to deal with it because it usually takes too long so I talk to my son and shared with him what was going on he suggested to get a second opinion and I did there was nothing wrong with that head gasket the water pump was replaced and the thermostat was replaced as well they went through my insurance company and got everything approved the way it should be and with that I had them do other work on my car that I needed to be done since I knew they were honest and fair I could trust that they would only do the work that needed to be I am so disappointed in your business because I had use this establishment for years but I can guarantee you I won't be back and I will make sure that anyone that listens to me will hear what happened to me at your business once again all I can say is shame on you I don't know if it's because I'm a woman or because I'm older or both or if you're just rip off artist but I would've been out of my hard earned money for something that didn't need done very disappointing!!!!!!!!‼‼‼ read more

Bought a new car almost two months ago, had to replace the starter, because it went out. During the process of replacing it, the battery had to be disconnected, what we didn't know was, disconnecting the battery causes the idle to get all messed up on the car we have. We couldn't figure out what was causing the car to die, so we brought it here. Everyone here was extremely helpful and nice, had everything fixed and back to normal in a few hours! Plus, Bruce looked over my Dads smog papers, because his truck won't pass smog, even after replacing almost everything, he let us know what is causing it to fail smog, just by going over the paperwork! Sadly the repairs will cost a lot of cash lol, but at least we know what's going on! I went to The Auto Shop to get a serpentine belt replaced that was squealing. The squeal is gone thanks to this place, and so is my embarrassing contribution to noise pollution . I also had a complete inspection/oil change where Bruce gave me a general diagnostic in addition to doing comprehensive routine maintenance such as tire rotation, fluid checks, pressure, battery. my car was inspected so that I can take care of it and keep driving it as long as possible. It's a family run business with an adorable, calm golden retriever that greets visitors and lays about. I recommend this as a place of integrity, honesty, quality work.
