They put a new catalytic converter on the ice cream truck and smogged it, but when it was time for resmog at another shop, they wouldn't smog it because they said the cat was not the right one so the numbers didn't match up! Ceres smog and tune owner Danny would only rectify the situation at a cost of $400!! He knew that they put on a cat that didn't belong to the vehicle.. This morning my car wouldnt start, i figured it was the battery going old. I was able to get a jump and make my way to ceres smog & tune. I spoke with cliff the manager i explained my problems he was able to run diagnostics on the car and in fact needed a new battery. He was able to get me a brand new battery within my price range and they installed it super fast. Customer service was professional and great! The timing was perfect since i had to pick up my kids right after! Will be a long time customer and a referring customer thank you again!!!!! read more

My 99' Toyota Corolla failed smog, so I took it to this place to at least get a tune up. They offered to at least get it diagnosed for $95 with a two to three hour wait, so I agreed. Five hours later they finally finished with a $190 bill for taking too long, and replacing a broken hose without even consulting me. Their diagnostics, might be right. Me doing business with them, could have happened. The fact that they didn't even consult with me before adding anymore to the bill was enough for me to leave, and never come back. Take my word for it, or see for yourself. These guys are not worth it. read more

Came here for two Smog tests. The first vehicle I had a catalytic converter job done not so long ago, and the tech wanted to fail the car because it was a new cat and didn't have numbers. The catalytic converters was purchased through dealership and luckily I had the receipts in the car. He then said okay and passed it but put in the notes no numbers were found. This stinks because now I'm wondering if this will give me future issues passing smog or was it just him. The second car also had catalytic converters replaced by a muffler shop. in this case the tech once again asked who replaced the cats and this time failed the vehicle because he didn't find any numbers (the cats are also oem). He then told me to just wait a week and half and go to another shop. This makes no sense because it passed previously with the same cats? I feel like if you had work done on your vehicle either have all your paperwork in hand, or just avoid this shop. It's cheap pricing, but Both experiences have been a hassle. For wanting our car "out of there to make room" they have sure shown our car was priority by letting it sit out in the parking lot and having two different guys work on it while parts were just sitting on the counter not even put in. 2 and a half weeks and only had 3 things changed out and still no car. Utterly disappointed with the service we've been getting. Update we got our car back today, had completely empty gas they used our car to go pick up parts the first week they were supposed to be working on it. My husband looked and they DID NOT change any hoses like they said. Bought a dipstick for god knows why our dipstick we had was fine. Basically we only got new spark plugs none of the other things the mechanic "replaced" what a rip off! Worst mechanic ever. read more

On 8/19/13 took our vehicle to this shop to have the power steering pump replaced. When I went to pick it up on 8/21 the owner Danny walked me to my vehicle. As he went to open the drivers door he was unable to because the fender was damaged. He tried to pry it with some wedges then a large screwdriver. He bent the crap out of it. I took it home & showed my husband. He called the next day and Danny said I had told him it was that way. So I called & told them there was NO WAY I would know if I could in my open door or not. We took it there for a steering pump. I had no body damage before bringing it there. There was a white paint scuff on the fender where you could see something hit it. Danny said to bring it back. There is a body shop on the property called Working man's Auto Body. Danny said he would have that guy take care of it. On 9/23/13 Danny called and said the guy could fix it now. He assured us that he was taking care of it. My husband said "you're paying for this, right". Danny said "Yes". On 9/24 Paul, the body man called. He said it was from previous damage. My husband said "NO it happened at Danny's shop, 1st when whatever hit it then when Danny pried it with the screwdriver." He said "okay". On 9/26 Paul called and said "your vehicle is ready and it will be $1375.00". So we went to Ceres Police department and an officer went with us to their shops. After talking with them the officer said Danny's story keeps changing. 1st he said you agreed to pay half. Then he said that model of vehicle the brackets tend to malfunction and it just happened to break while in his lot. The officer said by law they can't hold our vehicle and he could have them surrender it to us. But Danny was now refusing to give the body man ANY money. We felt bad for the guy because he did a nice job and did the work. So we asked what he felt was fair, and he wouldn't be at a total loss. He said $650.00 so we gave him the $650.00. The officer said "the Big guy Always comes out ahead, sad!" He was going to go back to the other officers and suggest that they not to do business with this company. We will NEVER do business with them. We suggest if you choose to, make sure you take photos of your vehicle and get EVERYTHING in writing because you can't believe a word that comes out of this mans mouth. read more
