We purchased our tires online and they were shipped to this location for an install. Given the website says they open at 10am, they were already opened when we arrived this morning. These guys set my new tires up to fail, I purchased the tires online and paid for mounting and balancing, not one tire was balanced, and tire pressure was supposed to be set at 33, they were all over 40, the highest was 49, car felt like it was riding on bicycle tires in front. I have not checked the lug nuts torque yet because they did not torque the wheels they only used impact. This is how to keep people coming back for new tires. Good people here but I will never trust them to do any work for me. Update just as I suspected, my tires were not balanced all 5 of them, this might not be the owners fault as he most likely was not the one doing the work, but whoever it was will cost him more money the he is worth. I am a mechanic and could have done the work myself if I had the equipment, but I feel bad for the people that don't have the knowledge and get scammed by Golden State Tires. Got my tires balanced at Lucas Tires in Hilmar and couldn't be happier with the quality of service. read more

This is my kind of tire shop, particularly for repairs or single tire replacement. I had a slow leak in my Honda Civic tire and I failed at patching/plugging the tire myself it continued to have a slow leak. Recently, I made the horrendous mistake of using a can of spray sealant (popular brand name omitted here) to fix the slow leak. This stuff essentially pools up in the tire and creates an impossible-to-balance wheel/tire which vibrates heavily at over 60mph. I removed the wheel/tire at home and brought in. Within 10 minutes I was out the door with a mounted and balanced used tire (had just as much tread as the original) for a very reasonable price. Since I did the removal of the wheel myself it probably saved some expense and time for everybody. I've come to appreciate that replacing with used for passenger car tires, might be more cost effective that repairing your current tire. They seem like no-nonsense guys and appear to just work hard and get stuff done. Too often the corporate tire places charge way too much and are incentivized to up-sell you on everything. I have heard that their alignments are reasonable too, so I'll be back next time I need one. read more

This was my first time coming to Golden State tires and I must say that I am impressed. My tires were low on air and needed to be pumped up. One of the employees dropped what he was doing, and had no problem putting air in my tires. The customer service was fantastic. Definitely coming back here. read more

Brought my Toyota Corolla 2019 car in because the 2 front tires were chipped and the alignment was off.. called ahead of time and they were asking 280 for all of it best price we could have receive!!! :) and great service they were done in 35 min, before we went to leschwab and they were asking 495 for 2 front tires and 1125 for the alignment... I found out I had a back tire that had wires showing at about 5 oclock tonight. The famous store in town that sells everything and has a tire and lube shop said they are open til 7 pm. Got there at 5:45, and they weren't accepting any more orders today. I started looking for a tire place, they were all closed! I have an 80 mile drive in the morning. So I was desperate! I drove down Golden State Blvd, and saw the garage door open at Golden State Tire. He was closed, but when he saw the problem I was having he said "I will help you out" He sold me 2 new tires at an excellent price, and installed them in about 15 minutes! Best service ever! Took my car there for tires swap i saw he used gun to put the lug nuts and he didn't even use Torque wrench, later on i removed my own wheels and 3 lug nuts ripped i called him back he said is not my issue . Very bad customer service read more
