I am the northern California District supervisor for a fleet company. I have 28 trucks under my supervision... if it's not a warranty issue that the dealership takes care of for free.. finish Line is who takes care of my vehicles.. they diagnose very quickly, reasonably priced, and fix fast.. i've never had to bring back any of my vehicles.. if he says this is what's wrong with it, then that's what's wrong with it. I trust his judgment.!! I would recommend anybody going here!! read more

My husband left a review back in 2016 (Dean L.) and I wanted to provide an update. Our 2004 Honda is still running great! After almost 5 years, Joe's original work has not needed any additional work. Thanks again Joe! read more

Joseph was awesome! He explain things clearly to me, show me my parts and he treated me with respect. I highly recommend finish line auto!

Joe is a great mechanic and very knowledgeable in his field. He did an exceptional job and maintenance on our Toyota Highlander with over 150k miles. It literally runs like new. I can honestly say that we've found our families new mechanic! read more

I am so disappointed with this shop. I was there 3 months ago for an oil change. Decent customer service and all but my oil change didn't seem to be done at all. I had taken my car to a smog and repair shop to get other things taken care of recently and through their inspection they seen I had little to no oil and a bad oil filter, so they went ahead and did an oil change. I shouldn't have had to do an oil change so soon. I don't drive too far or anything for it to be as bad as it was in 3 months and THERE WAS NO OIL LEAK whatsoever. Fact is they didn't do their job. My engine could have blown. This is so horrible of them. read more

Brought my Audi in for new brakes. Joe gave me the best price around, almost half the dealerships quote. They were prompt in their work and the brakes are great, no squeaks or anything. Highly recommend for a local friendly mechanic. read more

Joe was amazing. Had a oil leak from my oil plug and he fixed it and changed my oil for almost 1/2 the price I was quoted elsewhere. Great shop with a amazing owner ! read more

Because I can't give it 0. Been meaning to post this for awhile. Went to get an oil change done because I recently moved to turlock and didn't want to drive back home to use my old mechanic. Well turns out I had to anyways! My car would turn on then would not accelerate and it was due to the oil change. My home town mechanic said it was due to the not changing the oil right and left debris in my filter causing my car to not accelerate. Thumbs down to business like this taking advantage of women who do not know how to change oil. Not honest!!!! read more

Great experience. Went in for an oil change and also wanted brakes checked. Explained to the owner that I was probably due for brakes soon. After checking he told me I had 80% left on my brakes. He explained my car's model brakes actually last longer due to quality. I appreciated his honesty. I hadn't had brakes done in over 5 years so I thought I was due! It's a small shop but the owner is very fast but checks everything. My car is a 2006 and I've never felt more comfortable driving my car after he checked everything. Don't waste your time with "oil change" shops. This place is a hidden gem! You will get better quality service from someone who knows what he's doing and obviously loves working on cars!! read more

Took my car in for an oil job and it was done 1-2-3! Joe was great! Friendly knowledgeable and quick. Great job.

Joe is great. This is my second time back for an oil change. No matter where I go, people want to charge me an arm and a leg for a full synthetic oil change because my Jetta is a diesel. But Joe is quick, attentive, and very affordable! I come all the way from Modesto because I know he will get the job done and do it great. Will definitely be back again! read more

$450 to do my timing belt. About a week later my check engine light went on and come to find out, it was my sensor. He didn't adjust the belt a s the sensor right. I called him so he could fix his mistake and he told me he was going to charge me again! I had to have someone else take care of it. When he changed my sensor he noticed my timing belt was rubbing against the cover! I do not suggest this place! read more

This guy is awesome at what he does. I called in to get a quote and if the price was right - which it most certainly was - make an appointment to get my struts done. He got me IN AND OUT in the SAME DAY! Quality work. He showed me the new parts before installation, and the old afterwards. Very friendly and personable. I would highly recommend him. All in all, great price, great service, and fast! Can't ask for much more than that. read more

I was far from my home when I broke down on the 5 Freeway. I was meeting a bunch of people to go camping for a week in the Sierras. My car was full of camping gear. I had been planning this trip for weeks and I thought it was now over. But I was lucky. One of my friends was driving down from Oregon and could pick me up on the way in about an hour. I got my car towed to Finish Line Auto. I told them I would be gone for a week and returning next Saturday. I told them it might be difficult to communicate by text, phone or email so that they should just fix it if it costs less than $200 and I'll pick it up in a week. I was right, there was absolutely no reception up at 11200 feet. I have T-Mobile after all. What can you expect? All week I wondered whether I would be stranded when I went for my car. A week went by and it was Friday night and I finally got phone reception. I called Joe at Finish Line. My car was fixed. One hour of labor and parts. Something like $90 was the total cost of repair labor and parts. Joe asked if I could come on Monday? He and his wife were to be out of town. I told him that would be a bit of a disaster for me. They worked it out to have his father-in-law meet me at the shop Saturday morning opening it specifically for me. They went out of their way in various ways, treated me fairly and we're honest. What more could I have wanted? After 8 days of camping, I was really delighted to be able to get in my car and go home. Thank you Joe and family. read more

Took my Mercedes to Finish Line Auto Shop shop for brakes & I was super impressed!! Joe is such an honest & knowledgeable mechanic. He explained everything that needed attention and didn't try to over sell me on anything extra. I recommend this shop to everyone! read more

He really is the best mechanic in town! He's honest and won't do extra work on your vehicle if it's not needed. I'm so relieved that I've found a great mechanic that I can trust and doesn't take advantage of his customers! Very happy customer right here :) read more

Was traveling to northern CA for a wedding when our vehicle started having serious problems. Having car trouble hundreds of miles from home isn't fun, but luckily we found our way here. Joe managed to figure out the issue, fix the car and get us on our way the next day (once the part came in). He showed genuine concern for us and definitely went the extra mile. As unpleasant as car trouble can be, Joe's friendliness and honesty certainly helped us handle it. Thanks so much, Joe! read more

Joe was so great! My car started smoking so I had it towed to his shop. It needed a new radiator and he was able to show me exactly where the leak was coming from when I asked. Definitely a trustworthy mechanic. He obviously loves what he does. He also didn't mark up the cost of the radiator like other shops do. Two thumbs up. Thanks Joe! read more

My friends went here for an oil change. Joe said he couldn't do it that day, but to come back in the morning, which they did. Joe got right on it and was quick and thorough. He said they had bad struts but didn't pressure to have him do the work. They used a Groupon coupon and Joe didn't even charge for the extra oil the car needed. Awesome guy. read more

I was very happy with my work and service there at "Finish Line" in Turlock auto shop! The owner, is very good with cars and all repairs, plus very friendly as well. First time going here and it was nothing less than great service quick and efficient, great pricing. Definitely will be returning.

I change my oil at home, however today I'm pressed for time and can't do it myself. I looked on yelp, saw good reviews, and saw that there is a groupon. I called Joe in the morning to see if I can bring my car in, and he scheduled me in for a 20 min oil change and inspection. He and the receptionist Ilana were very friendly, honest, and welcoming. Their care for customers and their cars definitely show. If I didn't change my oil myself, I would continue as a returning customer. Would recommend! Thank you (: read more

Had recently changed my own breaks only to have them start squealing a week later, had me very concerned and embarrassed by the loud noise. So I had called various break shops to see if they can see my car right away however they were all booked. So I called Finish line and right when I told them the problem they were able to attend me really fast! I was surprised but they told me that anything that has to do with break problems they treat as a priority due to frequent accidents due to break failure. So they had to switch out my pads and discs and all for a very fair price! They even said it would take up to 40- an hour long but he was done with my car in about 30 min! I was very impressed . Definitely going to start coming to them in the future! read more

The best auto shop I've ever visited! I've been to a few around town, and I've even went to some out of town, but none match the service I received here! They were very honest and gave me the best options for my vehicle, I didn't feel like I was being rushed into any decisions, and that's what I appreciate the most. They are all very kind and considerate, and they always let me leave satisfied. Never will I go to another auto shop! read more
