Jennifer is awesome, we bought the 7 cascade waterfountain for our living room. She was extremely courteous over the phone and double checked if item was physically in stock. She honored their online price which was 50$ cheaper than the store list price. She answered all our questions and even dolly'd the fountain to our car. I went into this store and the items I wanted needed to be ordered. I used my debit card to pay for the $661.98 cost of the lights I ordered. The next day I saw that my account had been debited once for the total amount of $661.98 and a second charge of $662.92. When I called this store, I was told by the sales person and their manager that this is how they do business on items that ship you get billed twice until the order ships. This still makes no sense to me that my account will be tied up like this until March 6, when the lights actually ship. I even called their customer service number and was told the same thing. No one in this store told me my account would be authorized twice the amount of the lights and no matter how they explained it. It still doesn't make sense. So be aware that this could happen if you buy something at a lamps plus that needs to be shipped. I will never do business with this company again. They also told me if i cancelled it would still take this long for the second authorization for funds to fall off. read more

My wife and I went shopping to replace our 35 year old track light system in our den, Gary greeted us and took good care of us. I saw some reviews that thought Gary was a bit pompous , I have to say no, he has a unique way of explaining things, but he is really down to earth and knows what he is talking about. I give him and the store a 5 star, because I am an old sole that believes in customer service. Felt like the good ole days when you went to a mom and pop store and they really cared about taking good care of the customers. Plus, they carry good quality products, yes it may cost a little more than the cheap stuff they peddle at Home Depot, but I prefer the better quality that last longer and is easier to install! I've recently purchased 3 ceiling fans and 3 bathroom fixtures. These transactions were handled by 3 different people . This last purchased was with Bryan . His service and knowledge were outstanding. The store manager always is very friendly and helpful as well. A real Pro. The service and quality at this location far exceeds expectations and others should take note. I have found that service and knowledge is a lost art in today's business. I accompanied my Mom this past week to Lamps Plus in Brea (store #23). She's been looking for a lamp for her guest bedroom. I've shopped in this store before and I enjoy that it has quite a selection. When we walked into the store, we were greeted by an associate named Cindy. She was friendly and told us that in the case we needed anything, just to let her know. I liked that since I enjoy browsing a store first and then in the case that I do "need" an item, I can then ask an associate to help. We saw a lamp that my Mom liked and when she was ready, we asked for Cindy's help. Cindy provided great customer service. I was able to use a coupon that was given to me via email, so my Mom purchased her lamp for much less then she expected. Who doesn't enjoy getting a great deal! My husband & I returned to this same store to look at sconces for a guest bathroom my Mom-in-law is currently remodeling. Cindy (again assisted us) and (again) just gave great customer service. The result was us purchasing the 2 sconces and (again) received a great deal! We'll definitely be back to this store! Keep up the great work! read more

We were buying 5 chandeliers at Lamps Plus's Brea location and were waiting to complete the invoice which was for $4200. Since we were in the store for almost 2 hours my pregnant daughter in law needed to use the restroom. The sales people refused to let her use the restroom saying that it was not working and then saying that they couldn't let the customers use it. We requested them to let our daughter in law use the restroom since there was no place nearby where she could go. No one bothered and hence we walked out and they lost a big sale. I guess the people over there just work for their pay check which does not get affected whether they loose a sale or not!!!!! Zero stars read more

Poor experience here. Went into the store looking for a standard accessory. Claudia wouldn't sell it to us, nor help us out because we simply didn't buy our fan from their store. Even worse, our trusted electrician, who has an account with them, sent us there. When I told him, he was very surprised and disappointed. I have been to so many places to find what I want.I found them also. LOVE LAMPSPLUS for years. Now I have discovered Robert at the Brea store online and how fun he made it to see what I wanted to purchase by their virtual online process. I sent him a photo of where I wanted a mirror and he placed it on the wall. Telling me where to hang it and why. He had so much patience as I am not that computer savvy. The mirror arrived. I had beyond exceptional service! I was shopping online for a bar cart as a gift. I was able to text the store directly and ask if they had it there. And then correspond back and forth as I searched for the perfect one. They even called me directly to help!! I have used many online features with other company websites and felt the disconnection since the person responding wasn't at the location I had questions about, but with Lamps Plus you are texting directly with a person at the store!! We had a really bad experience here. We bought a chandelier that we were told could be hung without the chains which turned out to be false. Also one of the 10 dollar light bulbs that came included did not work and they told us their warranty is only for the chandelier. On October 27, 2018, I went to the Lamps Plus in Brea to return a floor lamp due to the shade being a color I did not expect. The return went smoothly. I wanted to choose another floor lamp and store manager Robert asked sales person Sarah Emily Montalvo to assist me. Sarah showed me some floor lamps in the store then we checked on line for other options. I told Sarah what I specifically wanted (color, price) and we searched. The customer service is great at the Brea store. They are always willing to answer questions and give me expert guidance. My only problem is EVERY TIME that I go in the store they want me to sign up for the updated rewards program. It has happen 4 times with 4 different sales person. 1) There is no substantial change in the program in the last couple of months since I last purchased something and 2) I have yet to receive any benefit from the reward program despite the claims of coupons, etc. from the sales person. Please stop offering the updated reward program every time a new sales person provides a customer with assistance!! read more

My wife went in for some kitchen light bulbs. They didn't have them, but they quoted her $12.00 per bulb (there are seven). A bit high for bulbs, and then they said it would cost $95.00 to install the first bulb and $30.00 bucks for each subsequent bulb! So, we're talking around $400 for kitchen light bulbs! My wife was offended that they thought she was that stupid, and she left after saying, "I have a bad feeling about this place." How does this store still exist with that kind of professionalism? (By the way, my wife had ordered the bulbs from this place two months ago, and they never called back with the bulbs!) read more

Everyone was so friendly, Brian answered my questions about ordering online and put me at ease about the return policy.
