We went in yesterday with an LED lamp to find the correct bulb. Had bought more than a few from Home Depot and Lowe's and always not the right one. Bryan waited on us and immediately put the right bulb in and the lamp worked again! Excellent customer service... leaving the store I just felt so good. A task I had been trying to accomplish for MONTHS was over and done in minutes there. HIghly recommend and will always think to go there for my lighting needs. read more

The poorest customer service ever. Very rude over the phone. I asked if they had an item and the woman on the phone said there's no way she could know if they have that item. I asked if she could check so that I wouldn't have to drive over there and find out for myself. She said well then I would have to wait because she's busy. read more

My 5 star rating is warranted because of this store's huge inventory, a store manager (Robert Berge) who doesn't sit behind a desk but works the floor, and the fact that Lamps Plus makes arrangements for an installer to hang your chandelier. You don't have to try and find an installer on your own. Well after Lamps Plus read my review I was contacted right away from Corporate, then Nuvia from the store who had placed the order for the fountain for me. Nuvia did place the order but due to some mix up the fountain was not able to be located. Robert the manager from the store went above and beyond to apologize and make this right for me. As good as it gets for sure. After going thru 7 electricians finally started fixture shopping to remodel a home in Chino Hills at Lamps Plus in Brea. Found wonderful fixtures for inside and outside but also found the very best electrician thru them. Harout Saakian is one of the elecrical contractors thru Lamps Plus and he is one in a million. Two customers (one is me -looked like asian college student and the other is OC older caucasian couple #rich). Everybody went straight to the couple and just casually walked pass me. Three (not one)... Freaking THREE store attendant served that customer. And, they ignored me for good 45 minutes. O well... They just lost a customer for good :) read more

After the manager apparently received my review left on Yelp, he immediately contacted me and apologized profusely for the poor service that I had received. He readily admitted that my experience was incredibly poor and asked that he be given a chance to rectify the situation. He did and even gave me a 25% discount on the ordered part and promised that he would try to obtain this part from the factory as quickly as possible. To his credit, the part arrived about eight days later. I will now call them to arrange installation. I hope that goes well. At any rate, I must say this manager did an excellent job of trying to make up for the poor follow through on the part of his staff. So I have changed my rating from one star to four. read more

He left the conversation to check his inventory and returned with the good news of his find. I later went to the store and my item was labeled and ready for pickup. My husband & I have always had a positive experience at Lamps Plus in Brea. We have purchased both lamps and chairs over many years. A few months ago we bought a comfortable lounge chair. Bryan was a gem and helped us tremendously. Most recently, we purchased two other chairs and Robert couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. All their sales people have been pleasant to deal with. The only negative item I will mention, because I feel it's important, is the fact that their restroom cannot be used by their customers. This is a policy having to do with safety, but I strongly suggested that they somehow change that policy, if they want to keep their customers. I will not reduce our star rating because of this. One of their very helpful salespersons helped my husband find a place in a nearby store where he could use their restroom.....and this was only her first week on the job. Keep up the good work, Lamps Plus. You still deserve the 5 stars! read more

If I were to review Lamps Plus based on my initial visit, I would have given a 2 star rating. I had to look for a sales associate to assist me which always rubs me the wrong way. If they were busy, at least an "someone will be with you soon" would be appreciated. I was finally assisted by Lila. I found her a little condescending although she was nice to my elderly mother. I will admit that she was correct in suggesting a larger chandelier for my dining room. I was to pick up the chandelier at the store when it was delivered. The following day, I looked at my receipt and it said that it was being shipped to my home. I did not bother to look when I was at the store since Lila and I already discussed picking up the chandelier during the week. I quickly called the customer service and they were able to switch the delivery to the store. The people at customer service are very nice and helpful. It did scare me when I was told the box might be heavy and the assembly was needed which I was not aware. When the chandelier arrived, I went to pick it up and was assisted by Rasesh Panachand. I opted to have Lamp Plus install and assemble the chandelier. I have nothing but good things to say about Rasesh. He also was very nice to my mother. He assisted with filling out the installation paperwork and called to make sure I could have it installed the following Sat, I will say Lila was pushy about filling out the installation form the day I bought the chandelier (and filled out the wrong form to boot!). The two guys who installed the chandelier were very good and fast!. It was up in about 40 min. I do feel that they were rushed. The lead guy said they had 7 more installations (I think I was 2nd or 3rd). I wish that whoever schedules installations wouldn't schedule so many in one day, so they don't feel rushed. read more

We have purchased many products from the Brea Lamps Plus over the years and have never been disappointed. The selection and service are very high quality. Recently we purchase a hanging lamp to go over our stairway, as well as installation from the store. We made a bad choice (our fault) -- the lamp was too big for the location. The store manager, Robert, helped us exchange the lamp for a more appropriate one and also arranged to have a second installation at no cost. This saved us $100! As a designer i really value good & helpful service as I usually don't have much time to place orders. Went online & called the store. Cindy Barber was the associate to help me and it should be noted she went far & above what anyone has done for me at any of the other lamp stores. Because of Cindy Barber, Lamps Plus is becoming my favorite lighting store. She called around to locate the various FIVE lamps in the collection that I needed -AND here's the important part. She actually called me right back. She made me feel a priority & that my need was not just another sale but that my order was recognized as being time sensitive. Ask for Cindy Barber when you go in although I have found all employees to be helpful. It's just that Cindy went that extra step to have me hooked. If I receive great service, that's almost more important to me than price. I paid more for the 5 lamps than I would have at Pottery barn but these were of better quality & I most defiantly received better customer service than I have ever at Pottery Barn.
