That's when we found La Pescheria, which is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants (outside of Italy) that we've tried. We ordered four different dishes and one appetizer, and everything was extremely good! The seafood (Branzino, lobster, shrimps, scallops, mussels, etc.) was super fresh and tasty, the pasta perfectly cooked, all the sauces immaculate flavorful, the vegetables very well seasoned, and a mashed potato to die for! Desserts- the caramel gelato was the winner (creamy and flavorful). The fruit tiramisu earned raves. The least favorite selection of the meal- Didn't love the "apple pie", which tasted more like apple bread. Service was impeccable. Someone checked on the table at least every 15 min. Giving insight to his vision of the restaurant business and his prior businesses from NYC to greenwich rhode island and his final destination of naples florida. Wonderful! One of the best seafood places I have ever been to. Located on the upscale 5th Avenue the restaurant boasts a lovely terrace with European charm and nice interior design. Simple yet elegant reminds me of the old world charm. The menu (just as the name - loosely translate to Fisheries)- is mostly fish and seafood really really good. We tried Frito Misto del Pesce - lightly fried shrimp, scallops and sardines. Outstanding. The grill calamari was super tender and tasty. Tuna tartar with avocado it was also very good . The main attraction was the whole Branzino. Oven roasted, file table side, it was incredibly tender and moist. We were a group of 7. Everyone enjoyed the meals. We shared a bunch of deserts. I really liked the cannolis but all the others were tasty. Wine selection was good. We picked 2 nice bottles of Amarone.
