Looking for an open restaurant/bar in Naples after a hockey game is like finding a needle in a haystack! And we did! Aqua North just had its soft opening for its new lounge area yesterday! Stopped in here for lunch and it was completely dead. We were the only group inside. The menu is pretty expansive and they have a ton of drink options. I tried the rose which was very sweet and mild, so good flavor. For lunch I had the Greek Macedonian salad which doesn't actually come on a bed of lettuce but it was good. It was fresh and contained a lot of good flavors. My husband ordered the lemon peppered chicken with key lime mayo although it didn't really taste like key lime. Overall this was a 3/5 for me. COME FOR THE DJ! this place is unbelievable. My sister and I came with our 21 year old kids and we had the absolute time of our lives. The DJ (DJ Ronnie) was absolutely incredible. His mix of generational music kept our kids here all night. The drinks are great and the food is incredible.. the best octopus in town! there's definitely a lack of great spots and maples, but this is an absolute must try. Everything from the aesthetic decor to the fantastic music. What a discovery! We are visiting from NJ i'm a short holiday trip and I'm so happy to have discovered this gem. This is a nice place with a HUGE bar and dining room. For the north side of town, Aqua really is a special destination. There's a high-energy vibe with live music, lots of people, and a friendly staff. I sat at the bar and had a couple of appetizers. The garlic shrimp was really flavorful as was the mahi dip (try it! It's better than it might sound). Both came with some excellent grilled bread...simple but very delicious. I also had the pasta bolognese, which I thought was a little overcooked. But the sauce was incredible, and the shaved Parmesan a nice touch. I'll definitely be back to try more of the entrees and the interesting cocktails. Owning a restaurant is one of the most difficult jobs imaginable and most people have not one iota just how much work is required. It's not just about serving exceptional food. Everything else has to fall in place right behind it. The service. The atmosphere. The cleanliness. The prices. The marketing. The branding. EVERYTHING has to exist all at once and most of that burden usually falls squarely on one person's lap. That being, the owner. I tell you from personal experience in the restaurant biz, that it is no easy gig. Its like having to climb Mt Everest on a nightly basis. Because even if you do have all the aforementioned items in place, you now need to worry about bringing in the customers. Its such a hard day's work but I can honestly say that AQUA in North Naples is one of the few establishments that checks off all the boxes. It's consistent, high quality cuisine in a beautiful atmosphere with exceptional service all of which is orchestrated by its owner Mario Nedelkoski. This guy wears his heart on his sleeve in the best possible way. He's super friendly, accommodating and sincere. Just a genuine person with the perfect personality to captain AQUA's ship. And that he does... you can't miss the man. He's always in action. Talking to customers, helping his employees, treating everyone with respect and dignity. Its actually a rare (and very special) thing to see. He's also opened up a VERY cool lounge adjacent to the restaurant that is stunning, sleek and very cool. We have had several good times with excellent service prior to last week. Morka the server - possible Marko - he never said his name so we had to look at a faded printed receipt. He put an end to that . The worst service we have received in 19 years in Naples Florida. He took FOREVER to get our table drinks . Each time blaming either the bartenders or poor management., He never once asked us how our appetizers were . Our 2nd round of drinks took over 15 minutes to receive. Even though other tables that had other servers were well attended all around us. When dinner finally arrived it was good but our table was already done with being there . We wanted to have a nightcap but after 20 minutes, One of our guests went to ask for our check . We were never asked how dinner was - if we wanted another drink or dessert . When we asked for the check it was the fastest he arrived at the table . Absolutely unacceptable! We won't return and our friends won't either. Worst experience we have had in a restaurant . Nice atmospherec with a large bar. Went there on 12/2 with my wife for their happy hour. The happy hour apps were great. Really enjoyed the smoked mahi dip as well as the garlic shrimp and coconut shrimp. Martini was a good value. I do take issue with the 4% upcharge if you use a credit card. Add the cost to your menu prices!!! I always reduce my tip when getting those up charges. Very petty on my part but who walks into a happy hour with $95 in cash? read more

Our family was really looking forward to trying Aqua Naples, but unfortunately, the experience was a terrible letdown from the moment we walked in. As soon as we entered, there was a strong, putrid odor throughout the restaurant, possibly sewage or trash that's been hanging around for too long. It was overwhelming and made it very difficult to enjoy the atmosphere. Despite that, we tried to keep an open mind since we were with kids and everyone was so hungry. Once seated, the smell became worse. I lost my appetite and decided not to order, while my family went ahead with drinks. We didn't want to ruin the night for everyone, especially the kids who were so hungry. The drinks were another disappointment: my mom's mojito was not bubbly but watery, and my husband's margarita was clear and had an off-taste. We returned the drinks. Even the water tasted and smelled off -- like something was wrong with the pipes or filtration. The server, who looked disheveled and clearly didn't want to be there, only added to the uneasy vibe. All adults were looking at each other at this point but no one wanting to admit reality. The final push for us to leave came when a woman brought the margarita to our table. She walked over in what looked like flip-flops and a bathing suit-style outfit, and without any professionalism or warmth, simply yelled out "Margarita!" as she stared at us for one of us to yell back. It felt incredibly sloppy -- nothing like the elevated dining experience that had been advertised online. At that point, it became clear that this place wasn't at all what we were expecting, and we decided it was best to leave despite having just placed our order. If everything is smelling and tasting foul already, then it would be naive to think the food would be any better. Before leaving, I wanted to at least give a heads up of the situation. Perhaps somehow it could be improved? If not this evening maybe next time. I approached a woman (possibly a manager or owner) to privately let her know about the odor and the poor quality of the drinks, thinking she would appreciate honest feedback. Instead, I was shocked by her immediate hostility and defensive attitude. Rather than thanking me or apologizing, she told me she didn't smell anything and that we were wrong for wanting to leave. Verbatim she said "YOU ARE SO WRONG". We were taken back. My parents thought she was being apologetic at first and saying that it's so wrong we had that experience. No WE were wrong. There was no professionalism, no accountability, and definitely no interest in improving the situation. This is evident when you see how the owner responds to criticism on reviews. For a restaurant with upscale pricing and a seafood/steakhouse menu, you'd expect a great environment, quality service, and clean surroundings, none of which we experienced. Some staff wore outfits that looked more like bathing suits, and the lack of cold air conditioning only intensified the smell, making it incredibly unpleasant. We ended up dining at Ocean Prime, which is just steps away down the street, and the difference was night and day -- clean, fresh-smelling, professionally run, with excellent service and a beautiful atmosphere. The staff were incredible and I recommend it to anyone looking for great meal with outstanding service. Our server Juan was a 10 out of 10. Our family had a great night. Aqua Naples could learn a lot from their neighbors. I wouldn't return here or recommend it to anyone unless major changes are made to cleanliness, staff training, and how management handles customer concerns. read more

The food was absolutely delicious! Some of the best food that I've had in Naples for years. The service was terrific. The restaurant atmosphere is spectacular. A huge bar area with plenty of seating for dinner and and a cozy wine room area. Above all, Mario one of the owners goes above and beyond what you would expect from an owner. It is so very gratifying to have an owner that speaks from his heart and genuinely cares and respects his customers! Imtroduce yourself to Mario because he is for real. Bad service. No toilet paper in the restroom . Reported to the front desk. No manager on duty at 5pm. Charged for food never received. Had to wait for the Mgr who says he is the owner to arrive at 606pm and say his staff misused his card while he was on Vacation for 2 wks. That's why we had to wait for a refund. They also charge a 4% service fee on top of the check. Nothing but excuses! Will never go to any location again. Just like my friends who do not return. read more

It was exactly as advertised and reasonable priced, but it's 95% USA wines with no depth or quality...what the masses recognize. We wanted this new addition to our area to be a viable alternative to the existing establishments. Unfortunately, it is much more expensive, the services is just mediocre and the food/drink is just OK. We were disappointed with the entire experience. On top of the already high prices, they automatically add 4% fee for credit card to the bill before asking if we were paying cash (we always pay cash). So we just take it out of the tip. In summary, a mediocre place with higher prices than area alternatives. read more

First, great food and service. Next...ordered a bottle of Daou wine which is typically a decent, medium priced wine. It was $80 on their menu. We ordered 2 bottles. Then, we get the bill and it was $300/bottle! We consulted with Mario the manager (perhaps part owner) and told him we did not order a wine that was equivalent to a Caymus Select (also $300). We simply ordered a Daou. BTW the wine they sold us is $125 on the Daou wine site at retail He refused to compromise, saying they showed us the label to the wine. We paid the absurd $600 and our advice to anyone at this restaurant is to be VERY careful on what wine you order. Visited Aqua in North Naples with a large group of friends on Friday night. The open and airy space is beautiful with a modern esthetic; while warm and romantic, at the same time. We were greeted by a friendly hostess, and seated in a lovely, private wine room for our party of ten. Our server was helpful, gracious, informative and attentive during the entire evening. Now for the delicious part: THE FOOD! Everything we ordered was beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. My friend shared one of his deviled eggs and they were culinary delights...outstanding! My clams casino were divine and cooked to perfection, with a slight little "kick", which brought them to an epic level. The beet salad was a star, filet mignon was tender and cooked to perfection. The filet was served with deliciously flavored and prepared broccolini, a perfect pairing. We finished by ordering several Chocolate Molten Lava cakes that was a masterpiece. I must also mention that Aqua was PACKED, as it was Valentine's Day, yet this place executed every single aspect of our experience, flawlessly. Super impressive, I loved everything about this place and will definitely recommend to everyone I know and in the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger: "I'll be back!" Arriving at Aqua at around 4:30 for drinks and an early dinner we asked if we could sit at a hightop in the bar and the hostess said no, ( although the tables were empty) so we were seated on patio. My mom ordered a greyhound and our server had never heard of this drink and made her feel like it was something out of the ordinary. The grapefruit juice was the very bitter kind out of a can. We felt a bit rushed to order. And the menu is very extensive. We then ordered bread, a pasta dish and the whole fried snapper to share. We asked if it was possible to move to one of the 4 tops so we had room on table for the multiple dishes. Our server said no because the tables were not in his section and that he would bring out a tray to put by table and would bring pasta as first course, then the fish. We ordered a couple glasses of wine, then never saw him again. Our pasta was brought out by someone and we asked if we could get our glasses of wine we ordered. The pasta was delicious, but still no wine. The whole fish was hot and crispy with a nice dipping sauce! We never got a tray and the small 2 top was very crowded but food was delicious and came out hot. The inside of the restaurant is very pretty and the happy hour prices are good. There is a 4% charge for all credit card transactions. We eat out in Naples alot and I will probably go back as food was good, althought the service needs polishing and the menu definately needs simplified for an upscale restutant. read more

Negative stars if possible!! We were excited to go and eat a great steak! My wife and daughter ordered a 10oz filet @$56 medium rare. Asked to have it split but NOT butterflied. It came butterflied and medium well. I'm also ordered a 10oz filet. They sent theirs back and as we were waiting we started to wonder if, in fact, the steak was actually 10oz. Not to mention as we were waiting for their food to be recooked, they left mine on the table to get cold. Not a mention to maybe keep mine warm. I'm not going to eat while my wife and daughter have their food recooked. Our background lended us to measure our food for over 15 years daily so we have an idea of what cooked food should look like. The waitress decided to interject into our conversation. She then brought a food scale to our table to "show" us that the steak was as 10oz before cooking. Easy to do after it was an issue. She then put my cooked steak on the scale to show 6.4oz. Roughly should've weighed 7.5 oz, 25% less than raw after cooking, 1 oz not a huge deal but for $56 I want what I pay for when they decided to bring a scale out. We still, at this point, have no issue. Manager or someone then comes to the table. This is where it gets fun. He tells us that he has never been so insulted to be questioned about the food we were being served. We never asked to have the scale brought out, we were just discussing. He then says that he will make it easy and takes my plate and says "get out". We would've paid our bill and just never have gone back but he decided to escalate the situation. So I did also, screamed to the entire restaurant what was going on and he then proceeded to cuss me out in front of the whole restaurant and tell my daughter that I was an embarrassment. That won't fly with me so I gave it back to him verbally. This guy let his big fat ego get in the way of paying customers. Anyone that will listen I will tell what a huge douchbag this guy was in the way he treated us. Whatever happened to customer service?? Buyer beware and don't question this place or you can be thrown out too. read more
