Savour is in the old Azure space. It is a home run. Been there 5 times always great. Great wine list with very good wines at differing price points. We split the clam app which was absolutely delicious. Good portion Enough for two. I had steak frites. The filet was done perfect , three sauce choices .frites were extremely tasty. My wife had scallops. Asked for a hard crusty sear on them , came out perfect. We skipped dessert this trip , but try the Dubai chocolate mousse. Matt the chef and his wife Mimi are great hosts. Hands down one of the top meals we have had in Southwest Florida. They accommodated a seven-person group and we ordered a variety of dishes -- bread with good butter, prickly pear salad, duck pâté, risotto, bacon bites, steak frites, and more. Everything was excellent and many of the dishes have multi-flavored aspects that complement each other well. Our servers were attentive and provided great service. The atmosphere is modern French bistro and is perfect for a celebration, intimate occasion, or just a night out. We will be back to try more of the menu, including the desserts! read more

I'm reluctantly posting this because I am scared I will eventually have a hard time getting a seat here during season. This is the best overall food/presentation in Southwest Florida. If you like eating at chain restaurants - this place is not for you. If you feel like dining is meant to be an experience. Come check out chef Matt. He will not disappoint. Give up thinking a French or Italian standard is going to taste or be made like your favoriate. Coq au Vin is cooked in white wine. Risotta is cooked in red wine. Escargot are cooked in a red wine with garlic. Totally different. However, everything is delicious! Wines were great. It would have gotten 5 stars but my waiter was mostly missing. And, if you want more bread, it's a $3.00 charge for a pitite pan, real petite. read more

First of all, I wasn't a big French food fan, but I have to tell you, I am now. The food was absolutely magnificent. We ordered small plates of leek soup, baby octopus and wild mushroom risotto, and there wasn't a lot of sharing but proprietary hoarding was seen. The plates were perfectly seasoned, exotically presented and "savoury." We loved the bread service, hot and the two sauces were impeccable. Knives were out over the last piece. My husband had the steak frites and never shared a whit! It was excellent and perfectly cooked. The desserts were a delight (chocolate mousse and crème brûlée). Recently dined with friends at Savour. We had frequently dined here when it was Azure(which was excellent) Good and bad experience. The good was the wait staff. Very attentive. The not so good...food was not what we expected. Risotto was terrible, a soggy mess. The gazpacho was a salad with limp shrimp and some clear, tasteless liquid. Deserts were underwhelming. Last month we had tickets to see Some Like It Hot at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Center in Fort Myers and were looking for a place to enjoy dinner beforehand. After coming across several strong reviews, we decided to try Savour Restaurant. Formerly known as Azure, the restaurant is now under new ownership--and what a wonderful discovery it turned out to be. When we first arrived at the unassuming strip-plaza location, we were admittedly a bit wary of what awaited us inside. Any hesitation disappeared almost immediately. Savour is owned by a husband-and-wife team, with the husband leading the kitchen and the wife warmly overseeing the front of the house. The restaurant is intimate, the welcome gracious, and the overall experience felt thoughtful and personal from the start. The quality of the food and presentation rival what you would expect from a fine-dining establishment. During our visit we enjoyed the Spanish olives, crispy yellowtail, beet salad, grilled pulpo, pasta Savour, and pomme frites. Every dish was delicious, but the beet salad truly stood out--it was hands down the best beet salad we have ever had (and we have had many). The yellowtail and pasta were also highlights and dishes we would happily order again. Savour is an excellent choice for dining before a show, but truthfully, we would not hesitate to make the drive from Naples just to return. It was that good. read more

Food was amazing. Very tiny restaurant with about 10 tables. Service was great but being rushed because of needing the table was not something I expected with this caliber of restaurant. Reservation made a week ahead of time for 5:30 pm. Was called in the afternoon to see if we could come earlier because they had booked the table again for 7:30. That did not work for us, so arrived promptly at 5:30 pm. We started being hovered over at 7:20. We had not even ordered dessert and we had planned on it. The waiter was pretty much pacing waiting for us to vacate. One of the items written on the menu is that they wanted their customers to take their time and savor the meal. That did not happen and I have my doubts that we will try again. It is definitely pricey and being rushed is distasteful. BTW, we were out the door at 7:36. read more

On Christmas Eve our catering team from SAVOUR arrived at our home to serve a feast to our family of ten. Jen led the team which included another fabulous chef and excellent bartender. The meal included wonderful appetizers, two delicious entrees and a yummy dessert. The demeanor of the entire staff was welcoming, professional and ever so efficient. We did not lift a finger and when our wonderful staff departed, there wasn't as much as one spoon to clean. My visit in January 2025 was extraordinary, and I came alone with my service dog as companion. Owner, Lee, waited on me and made recommendations for entree and wine that put Azure at the top of my list of fine restaurants. He mentioned that Azure was being transferred to the chef and his wife, and I am sure this cozy, beautifully decorated upscale restaurant remains in good hands. Chef Matt and his wife Mimi have recently assumed ownership and direction at Azure and the subtle improvements are palpable! My wife and I went for a pre-theater dinner on Good Friday, assuming we would have just a dinner. We had an experience! Always ask for any specials not on the menu and there were two that were flavorful and well displayed. There was a flash fried delicately fried shrimp with an excellent aioli, not too spicy but enough to tickle taste buds. The fresh entree was a gentle wasabi and miso glazed salmon with a tasteful risotto and Tri-color cauliflower base. My wife had the beet risotto and raved. And the finish was a creme brûlée, nicely sized for two, still a bit cold but nicely sugar glazed and browned on top. Wine selection was also well done and well priced. Yes, it's a small restaurant and tables are close, but it's spotless and fresh in appearance! So put it on your list and be prepared to enjoy! read more

As I've grown accustomed to doing, I first heard about this place by asking a fellow diner at my favorite restaurant (shoutout Liberty) if they had any recommendations in the area. He immediately said to go to Azure, and so we did on a quaint Thursday night. Unassuming from the outside, quiet on the inside with tasteful decor and a welcoming atmosphere. We sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen/prep area and feasted. Service was attentive and pleasant, tastefully toeing the line between attentive and aloof. They'll also say "thank you" a lot during the meal. A lot. Like when you order, when you get your food, when they take your plates away, when they bring you your check. You get the idea. It's a charming little schtick that was at first disorienting, but soon became endearing. Food was good. Very good. Anything with a purée should be a priority. Bread and butter tasted like very good toasty bread and very good salty butter. Bacon was so very smoky and deliciously salty, and definitely needed the arugula/mustard/cheese/currant accoutrements. Escargot in a creamy sauce were delightful. Olives were great to snack on throughout. French onion soup was nicely sweet and rich, but not heavy. For the mains we had the pork chop (with celeriac purée that I want infused via IV in my arm) and the Chilean sea bass special (with a beet purée that should be IV'd into my other arm). The charred cabbage that comes with the pork chop was probably confit-ed in delicious butter for a year then quickly grilled; I don't particularly enjoy cabbage, and I could probably eat a veritable wheelbarrow full of Azure's rendition. If I had to knock anything I'd say the beet didn't exactly hi-light the fish, and the pork chop was a bit over. Dessert was beignets and the mousse. Get the mousse if you're on the fence. Dark and delectable. Azure is a bit quirky in the service department, and rock solid on the food side. Undoubtedly a top-3 restaurant in the Fort Myers area, and one I'm excited to explore more in the near future. read more

Azure has been on my "must visit" list for about 3 years now. With my birthday this past month, what better time to visit and try out during "off season". This small and cozy restaurant has about 10 tables (2 or 4 top) and a bar area to be seated. Decorated chic European and extremely low key elegant, we chose a 4 top to have ample room. With a lovely wine menu to peruse, I settled on a Chardonnay and my husband had a red Zinfandel. These paired well with our starters and entrees. The bacon lover that my husband is, he chose the Nueske's Bacon: thick cut bacon, salad greens with blue cheese, mustard and berry jam. Nice presentation and flavorful. I chose the special of the evening: cold watermelon soup with fresh Key West shrimp & crispy onions. Beautiful presentation, fresh, crisp and flavorful. Main entree for my husband was the Kurobuta Pork Chop, celery root purée and grilled cabbage. WOW! Every flavor individually was awesome but paired together, was fantastic. My entree was the Catch of the Day en Papillote; salmon steamed in parchment, sautéed vegetables and mini greens. This was perfect! We opted for no dessert as we were full but did enjoy a nice espresso. Dessert will be for our second visit! Overall; Azure is definitely one of Ft Myers best kept local secrets. A convivial space, perfect for date night or a couples outing but not for large parties. Easy parking. Very obscure location, which makes it a secret gem! A thoughtful wine selection. The French inspired menu has a nice variety. The Spanish olive medley was great. Bread and butter was simply delicious. Coq au vin had amazing flavor and seasoning. Fresh vegetables to accompany and a very large portion. Steak frites was cooked to perfection. Hot and tasty. The prices are the highest we've paid in Cape Coral/Fort Myers area but well worth it for a great dining experience. This is one of the best restaurants in the area. Small dining room, intimate feel with open kitchen. One of the owners has always been present when we have visited. We were seated and cared for by a lovely woman who was very well informed about everything on the specials list, and proud of the food, wish I had written her name down because she was very helpful. This time we ordered bread and olives, regular menu items, and a goat cheese special. Great combination. We had entrees from the base menu, coq au vin and the pork chop, which were perfectly done. Beignets for dessert, a special with 4, enough for both of us. The wine list is excellent, reasonably priced. We should come here more often. read more

I'm excited to have a French American cuisine so close to home. First we went 6 months ago, I was excited about our visit and meals. Not so much this time I am afraid. The daily fish is a great concept and this time it was a bigger kind of flounder ( don't ask me to remember the name ). It was nothing special with it this time other than extremely salty and added to the dish was capers and olives making it a heart attack meal. Is there no sense nowadays that things should match and not overpower anymore? Where is the pride of serving something tasty? The chefs should know what a danger salt is to the public health. We ordered a couple of appetizers for the table, the Foie Gras and escargot, and both were great. Small portions, but super tasty. 3 of us ordered the paella for dinner and all of us loved it. It is choc full of seafood. I'm pescatarian and they let me order without meat no problem. My boyfriend got the pork and said it was delicious. First let me say, the food was amazing. Owners Marlene and Eric Boyé, a Belgian-French husband and wife team are just wonderful. They make you feel right at home. This is their second restaurant in Fort Myers. Their first restaurant is Mad Fresh Urban Bistro, behind Outback Steak House on S. Cleveland Ave. This review is for John D. I have followed him for years and he always gets a jump on me... not this time John. Enjoy! We have been going to Mad Fresh for years and when we found out that they were opening a new place we had to try this one out. I am so glad we did. Brand new but on their way to a successful French cross cultural Gastro pub Azure is a wonderful spot. Very small in size but room enough to enjoy your meal with traditional French Style. The chandeliers and the tables remind me of the time I spent in Paris. Well done but not overly stated. Now onto our rating of the food. Fantastic. Dish one was Coq Au Vin. Not your traditional style, but fantastic. Served on a plate with fresh vegetables mounded on top. They consisted of long fresh carrots, haricots verts (green beans) and fingerling potatoes. The Chicken fell off of the bone. It was not dry, but moist and juicy. The portion was large and I was amazed at how much food they put on the plate. Price is $26.00 There is enough food to take some home for a wonderful snack. Dish two was Seared Venison. Wow this was just amazing. Farm raised venison cooked Med Rare was just perfect. If you have never had venison, please give this dish a try. It make a Filet Mignon seem boring. The meat will melt in your mouth and the light sauce finishes the dish nicely. I love butternut squash but I must admit I do Not like my squash with cinnamon or any other spice added to it. If the squash is cooked properly a little salt, pepper and butter and thats all you need. The butternut squash puree did not let me down. It was perfect. There were also fresh cooked Brussels Sprouts. Cut in 1/2 and so tender they melted in your mouth. Price is $35.00 You will not go home hungry after this meal. The wine we had was fantastic I just wished I paid more attention to the name of the white wine we had. Ill post a follow up on the wine. So here is the basics. The average food price is in the $30.00+ range with a few items under $30 and a few items over $30. The menu will be changing, just not sure how often but I am looking forward to seeing what new and exciting dishes they have to offer. The Executive Chef is Joseph Pittman. A very friendly chef which is always a nice welcome to foodies. The wine menu is small but very well put together covering a nice range of tastes and flavors. The glasses for your wine are perfect. There will be a short break coming up right before Christmas and into the New Year, or 2016 as the New Executive Chef Joseph Pittman, goes off to Paris, France for his honeymoon.
