However, if you look a bit closer there is one item in particular that is hard to find ... Yemista. What are they? Well, generally speaking, Yemista can be any kind of vegetable that can be stuffed (usually with rice, sometimes with ground beef, and other spices). In this case they stuff green peppers. And why don't we see them more often on Greek menus? Because they are very labor intensive to make. So for me, that was a big draw to check this place out. And it did not disappoint. The Yemista were SO delicious. We instantly needed to order a second portion. Yes ... they were that good! But wait, there is more. We paired the Yemista with another item on the menu, the Whole Chicken Leg which is oven roasted with potatoes. The chicken was SO tender it fell off the bone, and the potatoes were equally tasty with the fragrance of lemon permeating throughout the entire dish. The service was great also! Stopped in on the way to Fort Myers. To Spiti is located close to the exit with fast service. My wife and I both selected the gyros and had the fries and Greek salad as sides. My gyro was a bit oily but the tzaiki was probably some of the best I have had. The sides while fresh and good quality were very small for the price. When I saw the name, 'To Spiti', I have a warm feeling about this place. My Greek friend told me that means home! Great, let me try this! This is a hidden gem in Naples, right off exit 107 on Interstate 75. It appears this is a family business. The lady served us was extremely friendly, polite with a happy disposition. This is small place with 3 booths and 5 tables with a nice Mediterranean touch. You won't forget that, a huge sign before the counter reminds you that it is "Made in Greece". We ordered a lamb platter, and a Yemista platter. The lamb was fresh, moist and flavorful. Yemista or green pepper stuffed with rice, ground beef with herbs is tasty. Both came with fresh Mediterranean salad, tzatziki and warm pita bread. The Mediterranean or Greek salad was what you would typically find in a village salad, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, olives, and feta cheese. Very refreshing! I have a Mandarin Jarritos soda. Baklava, Melomakarona and other dessert were very inviting. This place is clean with excellent service and good food. The price is reasonable and you have a little Greek music in the background! I wanted to love this place but it wasn't exactly what I expected. Service was good but when our drinks came, my husband's glass had lipstick on it. Our Greek "salads" weren't what Americans consider a salad. It was a small bowl of chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, olives and onions with oil and seasoning on it. Not bad but not what I was thinking. The dolmades were good and served warm, which I have only ever had cold with a salad. So it was different for me but not bad. I asked for chicken on my salad (not realizing it wasn't a regular salad when ordering) so it just was a side of baked chicken, which was delicious at least. Overall it was good but our bill was $47 and in my opinion was not $47 worth of food at all.. I even had water and he had a can of coke. Sadly we probably will not return. We stopped by to have lunch and the food was great. We both had the typical Greek gyro, my chicken gyro came with fries, hubs had the lamb gyro with a Greek salad. The sandwiches were fresh and very good, the tzatziki sauce was good enough that I would have liked to ask for the recipe. Maybe next time. Their menu has lots of good offerings, the spanakopita and the moussaka are waiting our return. Service is excellent and the way our server talked about the variety of baklava, we knew we had to try the cheesecake bakalava. Wow, forkfuls of deliciousness. This is truly a mom and pop restaurant with really good Greek meals. Mom works the table service a pop is the kitchen staff, both from Greece. The gyros are good but I can get those at home. So let me just start by saying I called in my order and spoke with the owner on the phone, sadly I can't remember her name, but it's a husband and wife owned business. This lady was extremely polite and helpful while I was ordering and told me to be there in 15 minutes and my food would be ready . I was a little bit skeptical on how it could be so quickly during lunch hour, but she did not disappoint! When I walked in the door this place just smelled and looked so clean and tidy. Very simple decor that speaks of the Med. I was greeted by the owner and told her that I had called in an order and she confirmed what the order was and with the biggest smile on her face went to retrieve my food . I paid her as I was paying we were just chitchatting back-and-forth and she was telling me how her and her husband owned this business . I could tell by the house and the look of peoples faces that the food is probably going to be pretty good , but I have to tell you the service that I received for a takeout order was incredible. Now we get to the part of the food ... Oh my gosh ... fresh and tasty from the jump!!!! I ordered the lamb lunch plate and was not disappointed The lamb was fresh and moist, it came with a really nice Mediterranean salad , and of course accompanied with pita bread. Some places just throw the pita bread in with the everything else and the pita ends up all soggy . They actually took the time to make sure the pita was hot and it was in its own separate pastry bag. Of course it came with a side of Taziki sauce , which might be the best I've ever had but it was pretty good. The portion size was abundant, more than I should have eaten actually. It was just so good that I ate way more than I should have. All in all this is a win a place to go and I will definitely be back . Kudos to the owners that they had a Yelp page that someone else had created . The stuffed green pepper was OK but not remarkable. The baklava was sweet and yummy. The staff was friendly and attentive. The menu is lacking in some detail and could be improved to be more descriptive. Its in a convenient location. We did ask for a side of tzatziki sauce and was surprised it cost $7. I served in the military for over 32 active years. I spent part of this time in Northern Greece. I clearly remember the foods and atmosphere. I will tell you this restaurant is just like Northern Greece, I love the food and the family that owns it. The two person small staff, keep prices low and food is great!
