Patinella's is a restaurant we've seen many times while driving by on Immokalee. Recently, I needed a fast take out lunch and decided it was time to give them a try. Parking is ok, depends on what time, but I was lucky to find a couple of spaces near the entrance. The guys working behind the counter seem good at keeping orders moving forward. This is a casual place to eat and it's clean and well organized. They have some unique menu ideas with a variety of rice bowls that start with chicken and rice, you decide how to go from there. The Southern rice bowl comes with corn and gravy, the Brazilian bowl has garlic rice and black beans, the Greek bowl comes with choice of protein and Tzatziki sauce, a vegetarian bowl is also offered. There is a kids menu, assorted sides and Greek gyros, which I decided to try. Hubs got the lamb and beef gyro, I ordered the chicken gyro. The sandwiches are freshly made and the helpful guy at the counter put in more Tzatziki sauce, just in case. This was a good thing. The only negative was the chicken, which was a bit tough. Otherwise, lunch was good, hubs liked the gyro, and I'll be making a return trip in the future to try one of those rice bowls. read more

Came here with my husband bc we were craving chicken k!tch3n (IYKYK) and this place looked like it served the same plates. Thankfully it was and the food is just as good. I got the deluxe and added black beans and the plate was so big I had leftovers. My husband got the original with extra cheese and ate it up. The mustard curry isn't the same as the original but it's not bad. I think this is the only location, wish they would open up more! We will definitely be coming back! read more

I was at the pizza place next door the day before and noticed through the window a noticed a vertical rotisserie gyro pit and I knew the next day I was going to be back! I typically stay away from Gyros because some places use pre-cut, thin sliced meat which resembles bacon and it's hard to find a place with the real deal. This location is very ry convenient location right off Immokalee with plenty of extra parking around the back. They offer seating both inside and outside. The menu includes a variety of chicken items (including Salads and bows), as well as a Gyro which is what I opted for. As for the taste, it was just okay. I was a bit spoiled having come back from London a couple days ago and their version (called a Donner Kabob) are rampant throughout the city and always taste amazing. For Patinella's, while they have the vertical rotisserie, they pre-cut the meat and it's stored in bins similar to how Subway would store their deli meals as opposed to slicing it to order. That wasn't the issue, but for me too much of it was hard and the pita was a little on the thin side. It could have just been a bad batch- I still ate most of it and the taste was okay but I don't think I could come back again. That said, other customers came in for more traditional chicken dishes and seemed to be very happy. The workers (especially the person who I think is the manager or owner) could not have been friendlier and provided a warm greeting to everyone who came in. 3 1/2 stars Take out from Patinella's Chicken Grill for lunch. I ordered chopped chicken breast with two sides. The chicken breast was a little dry. I know it's a different to keep chicken breast moist but I have had chicken breast that is more tender and certainly better seasoned. The sweet potatoes were amazing. I was not sure how sweet potatoes would be with onions, but it all worked! I also ordered Balsamic tomatoes and cucumbers. The veggies were fresh but they were way too heavy handed with the dressing. Good stuff. We came in on a Saturday at 6pm and there was no wait to order. Lots to choose from and the kids even found stuff they'd eat. The chicken is tasty and the pitas soft. Stopped here for a quick lunch and we liked it for what it was. Fresh Grilled Chicken cut into cubes with assorted flavors. We chose the LARGE GREEK SALAD $11.99 (1 1/2 pieces of grilled chicken) and wanted sautéed onions instead of the given raw onions and the REGULAR SOUTHERN SALAD $9.29 (1 piece of grilled chicken) It was very good. My wife only ate half her order of the Large Greek Salad and had the rest for dinner. I ate my whole Regular Southern Salad and made that my dinner. Both fairly tasty and good. (although some bacon would have added some needed flavor to the Greek Salad) and both are served with four fresh small pieces of warm pita bread. I walked into this place after driving by for 5 years at least. This is not a place Mrs. K. would like so I was on my own and I will give it chance. First impressions were negative. I did not understand what this place was about. I could not place a nationality on the food style. Even finished the meal I was guessing it may have been Peruvian or Brazilian. The next thing is I looked at the price and think well if you are hungry it will be somewhat expensive for lunch. $18.50 is not cheap food. Although I chose the most expensive bowl at $10.50. With drink and tip is how I wound up at the elevated price. KInd of wanted to really dislike this place. But the food was so good it won me over. Quick fresh healthy. The sweet iced tea is freshly brewed. The ice added just the right mix of cold and allowed just the right mix to keep the tea tasty. Some of the items were prepped earlier and the chicken was freshly chopped as needed. Some of the sides (plantains, sweet potatoes) were not available due to delivery problems. But they had a wide selection to still pick from. To make up for what was temporarily off the menu. Staff seemed friendly and kept busy by cleaning tables and kitchen area. This place is a fresh alternative to choose vs. McDonalds, Wendy's or Taco Bell etc and you still spend about the same. I will add it into my regular rotation of places to go but it's towards the bottom of the list. They have several options and you can mix or match your toppings and/or they have "pre-made-up" combos (Greek Gryo, Southern, Brazil etc). They offer fresh grilled chicken or a beef/lamb gyro meat as the main protein. Everything is on a base of a garlic jasmine rice then you add your protein and toppings. They have 3 sizes bowls/plates to pick from as well so if you just want something small or very large it's easy to pick. I got the large Gyro bowl and it was yummy. A little on the plain side compared to other gyro's I've had in town but not bad. The Tzatziki was also plain but not bad. The portion size was HUGE though. I got the tomato and onion vinegar salad as my side. And the sweet tea to drink. The tea was good but not "sweet" enough. My wife had the Southern Chicken...brown rice, grilled chicken, corn and brown gravy. She got mac and cheese as her side and added that into her bowl...it was very plain tasting until she added the mac n cheese then it was pretty good but not great. All in all this place was good but not anyplace to take a date. It was super clean and the staff was nice but it's like a cafeteria and very plain. I went here on a whim (because that's what my hubby does when I'm a passenger in the hubby-mobile), and I had a pleasant experience. The food is fresh and quick, and almost had a young college vibe like Pita Pit or Jimmy John's. Their restaurant has a simple concept with a myriad of choices. What can we put in a bowl/plate that serves grilled chicken? Not a bad idea. You have your options from choosing mexican, brazilian, carribean, southern, greek, etc. and you have a choice between three sizes - and that actually means more meat and not more filler. (They also serve beef/lamp for a gyro or a greek bowl.) They list all the ingredients for each style, so you don't have to guess what works out best for your choice. You do have the choice of omitting items. You start off with rice, chicken, and the rest is yours. A side sauce comes with the combo which includes their homemade pico de gallo, and pita bread. I had a regular size greek combo. It was served with a healthy portion of beef/lamb, and I was stuffed. This is definitely a healthy alternative to fast food, and I'll be on my quest to trying out new items. read more

It's not the highest quality ingredients on Earth, but everything seems fresh and clean. The staff has always been really efficient and friendly. Spent an extended week in the area and was steered here by one of the locals. Read the first review for a good idea of the menu -- it's like a bowl version of Baja Fresh if you've ever been to that. Green lettuce, red tomatoes - they chop up the chicken when you order it. Good stuff and a healthier choice amongst the quick food options around. I'm a pretty big fan of the food in this place. It's always hot, made to order and tastes good. The reason I only give it three stars is because of the length of time it takes to order. Every time we go in it seems it takes longer to place my order, get it and pay then it does to eat it. For some odd reason if I have someone in front of me with a larger order the staff insists on letting my food sit until finishing the other order. I could have been at the register, paid and gone by the time they get me finally rung up. It always puzzles me when they do this. Also, they seem to have a lot of kids that work there. I do NOT have a problem with this concept, but damn some of them move at turtle speed. Even the managers seem to have no sense of urgency. With all of this being said, the food is really good! Lamb, chicken and beef are the proteins of choice and they have awesome gyros and salads. They have an array of sauces to finish with and I highly recommend the taziki sauce. (The spelling of that may be a mess!). They have a light version of all their bowls which makes me happy because I can't eat a large portion of food. I say give it a try! read more

This place has a nice outlook, the food does not deliver with taste. Chicken was bland, rice was ok and the Mac n cheese had no taste. The Ceasers dressing was amazing though.
