Delicious chicken wrap!
Martin N.

We have a craving for Spanakopita. Many Naples friends recommended Greek Island Café. We tried for an early dinner. This is a family operated restaurant. The owner greeted us warmly and staff is welcoming. I ordered the Spanakopita dinner with a Greek Salad, grilled vegetable and rice. Wife ordered a chicken wrap. You can smell the food as they prepare the order. The Greek salad was well prepared with fresh tomato, peppers, onions, cheese, chick peas and olive. The dressing has a lemon taste which is very refreshing! The Spanakopita's phyllo dough is very flaky and crispy with a comforting filling of spinach and feta cheese. The vegetable is grilled and steaming hot! This is one of my favorite Greek dishes. They are simply delicious and savory. Wife loves her chicken wrap. She wanted to try their Pastichio, Schwarma and Kofta on our next visit. This is a great casual place with friendly service and great food!

We tried this cute little spot in Naples. The food is very fresh and good. We got the saganski, lemon soup, spinach pie dinner and a gyro with a red wine. Everything was very tasty and good portions. Our only complaint was the lack of service. We sat quite a while constantly throughout the meal. Waited for menus, waited for waters, waited to order and waited for drinks. Never checked on us and we needed several things during the meal. Could never get a worker. If they hire even one agile worker as a waits person, it would really help. We heard all the tables around, needing and pleading for things. Hire more, we will be back happily.

The owners are lovely. The gyros were fab. Great for takeout for a large group since they offer a broad selection to please everyone.

My boyfriend and I visited The Kabab Spot, a hidden gem tucked just off 41 in Fort Myers, on Friday…read moreevening. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the intoxicating aroma of Mediterranean spices--warm garlic, herbs, and fragrant seasonings that awakened my senses and excited my taste buds for what was to come. I ordered the Kufta Lamb Kabab served over basmati rice, along with a salad, a side of babaganoj, and pita bread. The lamb kabab was heavenly--succulent pieces of tender lamb infused with fragrant Mediterranean spices, creating a perfect balance of savory, smoky, and slightly earthy flavors. Each bite was incredibly flavorful and melted in my mouth. Everything about The Kabab Spot is fantastic. The food is consistently delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. If you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine, I highly recommend trying The Kabab Spot. This wasn't my first visit, and after another wonderful meal, I can say with certainty that it certainly won't be my last!

I think 3 is a fair rating here. Food/flavor I'll give a 4. Might be being a little generous there…read morebut I'll stand by a 4 for the area (fort myers food tends to stink. Prices are a 2 lol. Buddy needs to check himself a bit. $13 for a large fry? $13 for a doctored up piece of cheesecake. Are we on 5th Ave or a whole in the wall? I've had better halal off a food truck in NYC for a fraction of the price. Maybe will be back but cautious on ordering a lot of food haha. $75 for 2 entrees and a piece of cheesecake

It is definitely real Greek food, not American Greek cuisine. The appetizer to the main meal was…read moretruly authentic Greek. My husband had the Lamb Chops I had the Slow Roasted Lamb Gyro plate, served properly in a large bowl with all the fixings in separate bowls, including the Sumac onions, tomatoes, tzatziki and the warm Pita. I poured the sauce over the lamb in the bowl and mixed it then put it in the opened Pita along with all the fixings. I wished I was capable of eating it all but it was too much, so I took the rest home. The appetizer of crispy zucchini and eggplant was so delicious as well. This is why I didn't finish my dinner. We also shared the Charred Cauliflower. The service by Reno was amazing, he was extremely knowledgeable and attentive and very nice. Although this restaurant is in a huge shopping center called Mercado, the ambiance felt like we were in a Greek outdoor area. If you haven't discovered this place as of yet, please make sure to locate it and enjoy a delicious true Greek meal. The sad part was we had no room for their wonderful desserts, but we will definitely return and either eat a little less so as to enjoy the dessert or take it home with us. Please give it a chance to take you to Greece but without the expense of leaving the country!!!!! No passport needed!!

The food was not to my liking- if this is Greek food, then there truly is a misunderstanding!…read moreI ordered the very traditional Greek chicken lemon soup, and it was so peppery, it was inedible! They brought another, and just as bad! I substituted humus, which was delicious! However, I have never been in a Greek restaurant that does not place pita and oil on the table! Here, pita was extra, soft , fluff 2 pieces , warm and wrapped in napkin... that's what you pay extra to have. My main dish was the meatballs with sauce in side because my husband and friend had ordered with the sauce and again, meatballs overcooked and sauce so spicy! The Men's main courses included deconstructed pastistio - some ravioli looking noodle with tiny pieces of beef rib and smothered in another spicy glob and covered with cheese! Our friend had their "signature" moussaka baked in a cast iron small pot- HORRIBLE! and no sides included! Greek green beans are always a staple of Greek cooking! Dessert was their version of beignets / zeppoles - hard and not moist in center and very little sugar coating! What a waste of time and money! BTW, they have added so many tables that my walker can not get through the maze! A one , done and never again experience! Hope your is better!
