What a great breakfast spot! With dining options both inside and out. Of course, since the weather was wonderful, we selected a table outside. My wife and I really enjoyed our meal. I ordered the Avocado Smash and the freshness of the ingredients were quite apparent. So tasty! After our meal, we went inside to get a feel for the interior. It was there we noticed some treats in a display window. My wife and I were immediately drawn to it. After some careful review we both decided to get something to go. My wife selected a slice of GF almond cake and I went with a piece of carrot cake. We didn't get to sample these until later that evening, but oh my! So delicious!! Place looks great and food was very appealing but we didn't want to wait long for a table. We went inside and ordered at the counter. My wife got a smoothie which was very good. I saw they had a nice legit espresso machine and I ordered a cappuccino. It was very sharp and bitter which surprised me. It doesn't seem as though they know much about 'dialing it in' for good balance. Will try again but hoping it is much better. I went for lunch on Saturday and was seated right away. The waiter was very attentive and answered any questions I had about the menu. Got lunch on a Tuesday afternoon around 1. Only one table available on the sidewalk, and it was in the sun, so we sat inside next to the windows-worked out well. Food came out in relatively short order, and the presentation was nice. The taste is even more important, and we weren't disappointed there either! The Curries Chicken Salad I had was mildly curries and the salad was chocked full of dark greens and veggies. All very fresh and tasty. My wife got the Protein Bowl that has Steak, and it was also a very fresh and tasty option. Since we'd eaten relatively healthy for lunch (and walked a few miles) we split a Chocolate Chip Cookie. DO NOT eat here unless you want food poisoning. I don't write negative reviews lightly, but this experience deserves one. Seven of us had breakfast here. Five ordered eggs. All five became violently ill within hours. One person ended up in the hospital and required Zofran for severe nausea and vomiting. The two people who did not eat eggs did not get sick. The next morning, I calmly returned to the restaurant to speak with the manager, not looking for a confrontation and not even expecting a full refund. I simply asked him to acknowledge the situation and make it right in some reasonable way. Instead, he refused to accept even the possibility that the illness could have come from the restaurant. He suggested we might have gotten sick the night before, which is impossible since we all ate at different places. He also said that if it were the food, more people would have gotten sick. When I raised basic food-safety concerns, he dismissed them entirely, stating that staff are "trained" and implying it could not have happened. The most frustrating part was the complete lack of accountability, empathy, or willingness to even consider that something went wrong. A simple acknowledgment and professional response would have gone a long way. Based on both the food outcome and the manager's response, I would not return and would caution others, especially when ordering eggs or breakfast items. read more

I went for lunch around 1:30 on a Sunday, and the place was quite busy and continued to be popular with people entering and ordering food just 10 minutes before the cafe closed. I tried the vegan burger ($19) which came with a piping hot chickpea "salad" as well as the nut-torious smoothie ($9.50). The burger fell apart quickly after a few bites, but the ingredients were all delicious, so I had no difficulty cleaning the plate up completely! The salad was a bit bland for my taste and simply consisted of chickpeas and a few chunks of artichoke, but the chickpeas were cooked to a soft texture which I appreciated. The Nut-torious smoothie was very refreshing and had hints of mint, dates, and the nutty flavors all balancing together beautifully. We visited here on a Sunday afternoon after an enjoyable outing at the Naples Zoo (only a few miles away). We checked in and was told the waiting time would be about twenty minutes. However we were called in about ten minutes so things got off to a good start. We were seated outside at one of the tables along the front sidewalk. There were multiple tables outside and all were filled - they were quite busy. However our waiter arrived promptly with menus and took our drink orders. I ordered coffee, black tyvm. He returned with our drinks, and took our orders. I had a hard time deciding because there were a lot of good items to choose from (the strawberry stuffed French toast sounded delicious). However, I finally decided on and ordered their Steak Breakfast Burrito. This consists of scrambled eggs with sautéed jalapeños, onions and tomatoes, grilled flank steak, avocado, pepper jack cheese, and served with a side order of home fries and Pico De Gallo ($18.50). Within 15 minutes our food arrived. I thoroughly enjoyed my steak breakfast burrito. The ingredients were fresh, with the right amount, and it was served hot. The home fries and pico were very good. My coffee was hot and aromatic - very good! Our server came by to check on us throughout the meal and was efficient and friendly. Setting outside was comfortable and enjoyable. Occasionally it was a little noisy from the traffic but overall not too bad. Prices are comparable to other similar restaurants. I recommend you check them out. read more

The Cáfe is the best way to start your day in Naples. When I am here I come here 2-3 times in a week. It is family friendly and even when busy, the wait times are negligible. The smoked salmon bowl and acai bowl are my all time favorites here for a healthy breakfast. I'd recommend asking for some peanut or almond butter to be added to the acai bowl. Recently, we tried some new favorites. The French toast has a sweet vanilla flavor and is made with challah bread. The Mediterranean scramble added a fresh and new twist to a veggie scramble and had plenty of feta cheese. The mimosas and bellinis were made with fresh juices. The Bloody Mary was just OK. For lunch, the farro bowl is an amazing vegetarian option that even meat eaters at the table loved. For smoothies: the sunset on 5th is my favorite but all of them are great and most (if not all) are dairy free. read more

One of my favourite treats in Naples is sunny breakfast at The Cafe on 5th Ave S . This place has been here since 2009 and I really love it's simplicity, location, service and tasty, VERY TASTY food! I used to order a Vegie omelet or Oatmeal with bananas, brown sugar and nuts. They also have smoothies, acai bowls and salads. The food is healthy, tasty and extremely nourishing. Especially I love to enjoy it sitting outside, when the weather is warm and sunny! The service is great: fast and professional! Great menu selections! I am down in Naples for work often. The whole staff are positive and enjoyable to be around. It adds a very welcoming ambiance to your whole experience. Everything in this restaurant was amazing, I had gotten the Panini with chicken and my boyfriend got the Cocky BLT. Both were so delicious we enjoyed this place so so much.
