Stopped in at Stonewalls for a late breakfast/early lunch on one of the days of our trip and we were glad we did! At Stonewalls you order at the counter and they bring it over to your table as the food comes out. Kids are big breakfast eaters and while I'm not, I stumbled upon what I think is one of the best bacon cheeseburgers Ive had in a long time. We had a LOT of food on the table. We had two orders of the pancake breakfasts. Each one came with a short stack of pancakes that were hot and fresh. And they came with freshly cooked eggs and some crispy salty bacon! (oh and dont forget the whipped cream) We also had the chicken and waffles. That had a BIG piece of fried chicken on top of a perfectly made belgian waffle. His side of home fries/breakfast potatoes has TONS of flavor too. Now on to the STAR. The bacon cheeseburger. I dont know if it was because I wasnt expecting much, but this burger blew me away. The meat was seasoned perfectly, the cheese melted and this bacon.... this bacon was PERFECT! Crispy while not being burnt, salty without being overwhelming and as you can see THEY GAVE ME PLENTY! Spent a week on Marco Island and had the opportunity to have a dinner and a breakfast at Stonewalls. For diner, the wife had the chicken pot pie and I had the meatloaf. Both were very good. The service was excellent. For breakfast they switch it up a bit. You order at the counter and your order is delivered to your table. Breakfast meals were also excellent. Stopped in a couple of times for breakfast. Both days I got the avocado toast with an egg white on the side. My husband got an egg white omelette with veggies. I did get an Espresso Martini and it was delicious. Our kids met us there the next day and got the chocolate chip pancakes. I do wish this place had fresh juice instead of some processed juices. I also wish they had smoothies. My husband got the oatmeal and it looked delicious but lacked the quantity of oatmeal in the serving. He also got it 15 minutes before we got our food, so he was done with his breakfast before we got our food. We look forward to stopping in again on our next trip to Marco read more

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night. The reviews were good and it was just a few minutes walk from our hotel. Pizza and beer sounded good, so off we went. The restaurant has inside and outside seating. We sat outside because the weather was nice. Service was friendly and efficient. The reason for 3 stars is the food, which in my opinion was at best mediocre. The kid had pasta and red sauce, which at $12 was overpriced. The pasta was overcooked and the marinara lacked flavor. It came with fries that were crispy and well seasoned. I thought they were good but the wife said she tasted old oil. The wife and I had a house side salad and frankly, it was pathetic. It was not attractive to look at and not well assembled. It looked like someone just threw together some lettuce, a couple of cucumber slices, and some diced tomatoes and called it a salad. The portion was very small. We wanted a wedge salad but were told that they "were out." Whatever that means. We ordered the Caprese pizza, $26, which was overpriced. The crust was not thin but not thick. It completely lacked flavor. Someone forgot the salt when making the dough. The pie was not fully cooked in the middle. The ingredients, which were supposed to resemble a caprese salad, never really came together. The wife did not like it all. I was not as harsh. It was not terrible, but it was not very good. We did not take the leftovers with us. I don't know where the 4 and 5 star reviews come from. Maybe we got them on an off night. Maybe we ordered the wrong food. I don't know. But what I do know is that I would not recommend this restaurant and we will not return. read more

I've been here several times over the past 5 years and felt another review was necessary. The service is always friendly. I always have a hard time deciding what to get as there are so many options to choose from. The food has always been consistently good. My hubby went for the chicken pot pie which comes with a side salad and it was delicious as usual. My friend enjoyed her Tuna Melt with provolone. I really enjoyed my Turkey Bacon Avocado Wrap with ranch dressing. The side of Cole slaw which was recommended was a tad bland but a good sized portion for the extra $1.50. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday around 11:30am. This is always a solid choice when we come to Marco Island! read more

Wifey ordered the Prosciutto Benedict and I got the Grits special with two eggs, bacon and a side biscuit. Wifey's quote "there's somebody back in that kitchen that knows how to poach an egg!" "The prosciutto was crispy, the hollandaise sauce was perfect. Five stars!" My breakfast, seemingly a boring order, was great. I turned the eggs and bacon into a small sandwich with the lightly toasted biscuit and the grits were perfect (just added some butter, salt and pepper). We arrived around 9am for breakfast. The restaurant was fairly busy but the walk up ordering ensured our service was efficient. We selected a table in the clean and nicely decorated seating area and did not wait long at all for our meals to arrive. We ordered a cheese omelet and biscuits and gravy with an add on of fried chicken. Our food soon arrived and was enjoyed. The avocado toast was very straight forward, nothing very special, not something I would have again. The egg and cheese croissant was good, the egg comes well done but it goes altogether. The eggs Benedict were not my favorite, the sauce didn't taste like a familiar holandeses sauce but was rather acid and bland. The coffees, on the other hand, were pretty good. This is our go to breakfast spot in Marco. Food is always spot on. They have a large breakfast menu and they have classic favorites and many unique and delicious offerings. The restaurant requires you to order your food at the desk and they will give you a number. A server will come out with your food and deliver it. Decided one morning while on vacation to go out for breakfast. Stonewalls was our choice based on delicious looking reviews on yelp. The restaurant is extremely clean, and when you walk in the menu is posted on the wall. You then go to the counter and place your order, and they give you a number to put on your table. They will bring your food out when it is ready, but you get your own cold drinks. I wish I had known that before I ordered, as they offer several juice options - orange juice, apple juice, and cranberry juice. I like mixing cranberry juice with apple juice, and had I known I would be dispensing the juice myself. I would've ordered juice and gotten a mix like I normally do. The French toast with sausage looked delicious, and my plate of scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes was full! The bacon is very crisp and delicious, the potatoes are in chunks and well seasoned, and it seemed like a ton of eggs! The toast comes out unbuttered, which I didn't realize right away. So by the time I realized it, the toast had cooled off so the butter didn't really melt in, but in the scheme of things that wasn't a huge problem. This is our "go to" place when we are in Marco Island. It is consistently good. The Grouper Francaise is delicious. I ask for it over pasta rather than a potato. Breakfast is very good too. We stopped for dinner and found this small restaurant very simple and minimalistic.  We had the Penne Ala Vodka which came with a salad. You order from the counter though I did see another couple order from their table and you are served your meal.  The service is fast and friendly.  No table cloths and the flatware is very inexpensive.  This is not fancy dining. Our meal was $40.00 not including tax and tip. There are plenty of pictures submitted by other reviewers,  so if you are looking for a simple meal in a simple environment with great service then I can recommend this restaurant and we would visit again. read more
