It was my birthday, so my husband and I decided to celebrate by taking our mothers out to dinner at Mr. Big Fish--and we had such a wonderful evening! Our waitress, Jamie, was absolutely outstanding! She was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you have the opportunity to sit at Jamie's table, I highly recommend it! I ordered the salmon, which was delicious. My husband had the yellowtail snapper, and he said it was the best fish meal he has had in Naples--and that says a lot because we have been dining at restaurants throughout Naples for many years! Our mothers had the crab cakes, and one of them actually ate the entire dinner--which is SO unusual! She clearly loved them. The other enjoyed the stuffed shrimp and had nothing but good things to say. It was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday: great food, wonderful company, and excellent service. Another fantastic meal at Mr. Big Fish on Friday, May 29! We brought a large group of family visiting from out of town, and despite our party size, we were seated promptly. This has become an annual tradition whenever family is in town, and it's also one of our favorite places to visit throughout the year. Henri once again delivered exceptional service. He's knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and his recommendations are always spot-on. It's clear he takes pride in making sure every guest has a great dining experience. The lemon butter sauce was the saving grace for the two fish filets. The blackened mahi mahi had exceptional flavor, but more akin to Cajun than the typical black pepper forward experience. Great portions, good rice, well-cooked vegetables. Great citrus vinaigrette for small house salad. Great commitment to nautical theme throughout dining room. HIGHLIGHT: Nick was one of the funniest, sweetest, and respectful servers I've ever had... anywhere. He truly elevated our experience and made it a memorable night as we celebrated a graduation. A local fave. Busy and bustling with seaside decor. The fresh Warm bread basket pleases all. Lobster bisque is on point. Linguini with clams were delicious. The Caesar salad was ok, very lightly dressed and not creamy. Kids chicken fingers were burnt so they brought out another serving and they weren't much better. Chicken was very tough. We had a great meal for our anniversary prior to a sunset cruise. I had the lobster tail, which was perfectly cooked and a generous size for $39 (special). First & not the last time here. I wanted the northern walleye but they were out of it so I got the Parmesan crusted trout, wow wow wow it was so good. Wow what an amazing dinner! First off the service was great and quick. The place was busy but everything came out super quick. Ordered the red grouper and had it blackened. Whatever seasoning they use when they blacken it is incredibly delicious. I got it with steamed broccoli and some of the best au gratin potatoes I've ever had. Will be coming back again and again! One of the family's must stop places to eat in Naples! Came with one and a half families, great atmosphere and menu for kids. They have some of the freshest fish and best preparations in town. The staff is very knowledgeable and did an excellent job of explaining every type of fish along with every method of preparation. Our server, Jamie, was a rockstar! Prices are fair. Under $200 for three adults and two children. Everyone in our party left completely satisfied. I got the black grouper grilled with Cole slaw and mashed cauliflower. The cauliflower was a dark horse for favorite side. Fish was cooked perfectly and lightly seasoned enhancing thug not masking the natural appeal of the fish. Ate here last night and.... WOW. This place is phenomenal. Little backstory, was only in town for 3 nights from Chicago. Night before I had the most disappointing plate of fish I've ever been served in my life. I came in to town with grouper on my mind. We were recommended Mr. Big Fish from a family friend. I will be back EVERY visit. Jamie was our server... and it was truly LIMO service. I told her about the previous night and she told me Mr. Big Fish has been her favorite restaurant for 8 years and she's only worked there for 8 months. EVERY plate (including the kids chicken tenders) that hit our table was amazing. I personally ordered the black grouper (I'm pretty sure it was served blackened) and told Jamie to give it to me however she would order it. It was fantastic. We ordered grilled shrimp, blackened salmon, octopus, salads and sides. For sides I ordered asparagus and waffle sweet potato fries. I was most jealous of the cauliflower mash that my father in law ordered. I wish I took pictures I apologize that I didn't, but I will remember that grouper for years to come and don't see myself getting it made better anywhere else. I've only been once. I'm a food dude. I watch every cooking show and consider myself an above average cook that is willing to try to cook anything I see on tv. I rarely get "better food" at a restaurant than I do at home. But I do NOT have fresh grouper in Chicago and I wouldn't dare say that I could match the level of cookery that went into our table of food. A+, excellent. This is a great local spot. It's in an unassuming location where you can tell it's a local hang out. The interior is so funky I loved it. The key thing for this place is their happy hour. From 3-6 you can sit at the bar and have a small bar bites menu. So much good stuff. We didn't make it in time to get a spot, but next time I will be there right at 3 pm to get a spot. This used to be one of our favorite places for Happy Hour, and we've been attending for about 5 years, but recently their happy hour pricing went way up. $1 oysters was a nice draw, but many things on the menu,including the oysters went up as much as 50% and they took one of my favorites away...the cauliflower bites. There were not many folks the last time we went which was also super disappointing. While the food and service are good, the value is no longer appealing. read more

Sat in a booth in a side room, which was a little quieter, but still bustling with activity. Started off with some drinks, a lb of Jonah crab claws - first time for the kids, and octopus. Both appetizers were good, but the kids really loved the crab claws, the octopus had some nice seasoning. Entrees included broiled rainbow trout with asparagus and rice; broiled mahi mahi with broccoli and fries; sea scallops with spinach and rice; and ahi tuna with rice and broccoli. All seafood was fresh and flavorful. Waiter showed up often to replace our water, check in our food and was overall a great guy.
