I was so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It was definitely the best place we ate in the Naples area the 10 days I was in town. The location is unassuming and kind of hidden but I felt like it was a good sign to see that it was busy when we arrived. We were seated outside under a fan and it was actually quite nice. There's a pool and an outdoor water feature which has a very retro vibe. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder which was really good. No joke, I'm thinking it's one of the best I've tried and I've tried a lot. I had the lobster roll, which was a cold roll, stuffed full of lobster. My husband had the shrimp and lobster Mac and cheese, and my son got the hogfish. All of our dinners were great. The hog fish was light and buttery, the green beans were amazing and didn't taste like an oversight, and the Mac and cheese was full of shrimp and lobster and not heavy. I wish we had saved room for dessert but we were full. Our waiter really seemed to enjoy his job and was so personable and professional. Highly recommend! read more

Cute little place tucked in a resort. We started with a crab cake, which was pretty good. I had a house salad with grilled mahi mahi and goat cheese instead of bleu cheese and it was to die for! Sooooo good, and light enough to not feel like an actual hog. My husband had the halibut with Parmesan risotto and polished it off in record time. Service was great; vibe was solid. This is a hidden gem. It is right off US 41 nested behind a couple apartment buildings and next to a community pool. There was landscaping and a pedestrian bridge on your way to the restaurant. You feel like you are in a resort. Their signature dish is fried hogfish sandwich. Hogfish is a type of white fish and you can't catch by pole. A few of my group went with the sandwich. It looks really good and they all said that was great. I tried the blackened hogfish with the house salad. They had the best house salad in town. All is all, food and service was great. People in the area definitely know about the reputation of this restaurant. It was packed ! Had a great dinner at Hogfish Harry's. Started with the coconut shrimp and crab cake--both were delicious. The tripletail entrée was the standout of the night, perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the yellow-edged Gulf grouper special was also excellent. Everything we ordered was on point. Pro tip: ask for the fresh bread they bring to the table--it comes out warm and the butter just melts into all the little nooks. So good. We've eaten at Hogfish Harry's a couple of times in the past two years. The menu is eclectic - the breaded hogfish sandwich is terrific, as are their other fish sandwiches. One of our friends tried the grilled chicken sandwich; it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Their clam chowder was nice - a good mix of clams, potatoes and veggies. The service is friendly but slow - it may be that the kitchen was bogged down with orders. The restaurant is pretty neat - - the island decor lends a really nice vibe and, in nice weather, sitting outside in the way to go. read more

#1 this is not a dive, nor is it $$ expensive. Whoever ranked this is an imbecile. $13.00 for a gin and tonic? Huge markup for any salad protein additions doubling the price is not $$. This place is $$$ at least. Not easy to spot, as the address is for a huge resort/condo/whatever. Find the entrance, and you've found the pool side restaurant and its ridiculously small sign. I was served and drank the first gin and flat tonic. Same price as the next G&T? Meh, ok. The main reason to come here is hogfish, which is speared and hunted. Wonderful fish, but I wouldn't return to eat it with $13.00 gin. No music, but a great view of the pool and residents using it. I'm guessing most of the high reviews come from them. read more

Casual neighborhood joint with a lively interior and more placid outside patio seating. Hogfish doesn't sound appealing, but I'm telling you the fried hogfish sandwich is one of the best fish sandwiches I've ever had. Service is always friendly and reasonably prompt, even when the kitchen is getting smashed. For dinner you can get in and out in an hour (add 15 minutes for dessert) at a reasonable price. read more

I was between a 4 and a 5 here, but I'll go with the benefit of the doubt because I have no real complaints. We wound up here on a Christmas Eve when we didn't have other options, and the place was absolutely hopping! Our server (John) was on point all the way through. Good recommendations, checked on us frequently but not too much. Managers stopped by too to help out ( our wobbly table was fixed in a jiffy!) Friends had the Hogfish which was excellent. I had the triplefin. All were wonderfully prepared with tasty accompaniments and sauce. They had a nice cocktail selection and a better draft beer selection than most Naples-area spots we visit. (Loved the Ankrolab on tap!) Our land-lover enjoyed the ribs, too. This place is a really nice option if you're looking for really nice food but without the 5th avenue pretense. Hogfish Harry's in Naples is one of those rare places that just works. It's incredibly comfortable, no pretension, no scene you have to "fit into." The bar is lively and character filled, while the dining room somehow pulls off an eclectic mix of every generation, most often multi generational, all clearly having a great time. It feels welcoming whether you're there for a drink, dinner, or both. The food is consistently superb. The wedge salad is a standout. Simple, classic, and done right. I did mine with a crab cake is exactly what I was hoping for, packed with crab, not filler and full of flavor. This place knows what it's doing in the kitchen and proves it every time and in every dish. Hope you get our waitress Veronica. She has a great personality and was extremely efficient, friendly and always kept an eye on us. She was on top of everything without rushing us. One last thing. Those one-star Yelp reviews from people who "can't find the place" are beyond ridiculous. It's the 21st century. Everyone has a phone. Everyone has GPS. Satellites are literally floating in space waiting to guide you to dinner. If you still can't locate a well-known restaurant in Naples, that's not a Hogfish Harry's issue, that's a basic life-skills issue. Reviews like that shouldn't count toward the rating at all. If your main complaint is your inability to follow directions, you need to be removed from the Yelp equation entirely. An amazing restaurant shouldn't take a hit because someone got lost on the way to a delicious crab cake. read more

The restaurant is weirdly located in a residential area, but once you walk to it the atmosphere is beautiful. Surrounded by a mote, there are turtles and ducks to see when you cross over the bridges. The decor is super cute inside and they have nice patios to sit outdoors. They accommodated my group of 6 easily. The service was great and all the food presented beah. I enjoyed the grouper special, which I loved the parmesan risotto it came with. Unfortunately, the grouper itself was pretty tasteless even blackened, which my friend said the same about her hogfish. The tomato app was delicious as well as the key lime pie and toffee pudding cake. This is a favorite of when we visit Naples! Such a fun place with delicious food! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. This place is tucked away inside a hotel/condo community. There's a creek close by to see turtles on the way from the parking lot to the restaurant. Service was decent but the food was amazing! We were celebrating a birthday and got a slice of their homemade key lime pie. Food is delicious. We started with the fried green tomatoes and the calamari. There are many fresh seafood options. The special was Triple Tail risotto and was perfect. We also ordered the coconut shrimp and spiced Hogfish. Everything we ordered was fantastic. On a Monday night, we were lucky to snag a table without a reservation - they were bumping! The nonstop crowd and charming decor was a great ambience. Next, our server was amazing. He was attentive and clearly a foodie, making great recommendations. We had the shaved brussel and kale salad topped with lightly blackened hogfish, and the crispy fried hogfish (pro tip - you don't need to get it on a bun, order it fish and chips style instead!). The flavor and cooking of everything was spot on. They also had a kid's menu - our toddler killed the mac and cheese (and I appreciated it came with a small cup of fresh fruit). They also provided crayons and a coloring sheet which was great and helped us get through the meal. They offer valet parking, but it's not required. The lot is sufficiently large and you walk over a cute bridge to reach the restaurant. Glad we found this place and highly recommend! read more

I think this is the definition of a hidden gem--it's tucked away in the middle of an unassuming resort but absolutely worth the (very easy) search. We got a cup of clam chowder to share as a starter and it was loaded with clams and flavor. For entrees we got the fried hogfish sandwich and the blackened grouper sandwich both had sides of fries. We live in South Florida (Fort Lauderdale) and take trips to the keys frequently--some of the best fish sandwiches we've ever had. Fish was so flaky and flavorful, highly recommend. Service was impeccable. We had a really great server named Michael who was pleasant and helpful. As a server in the industry a long time ago, I could not give him enough kudos. He was on top of our orders, made small talk, was quick to check on us. The food was also excellent. I had the lobster roll, my dad had the Hogfish entree, and my mom had a chicken sandwich. I think next time I'm going to try the hogfish. When in rome, am I right? But the lobster roll was delish. I especially liked the challah roll. It let the lobster speak for itself and wasn't overpowering. Ambiance is gorgeous. I love the interior design. Pro tip- at ~8ish pm you shouldn't have a hard time getting a table to eat here. A little slice of paradise hidden within units, but protected by a moat filled with turtles. I loved my Hog-hatten made with Whistle Pig Rye, but the reason to go is for the Hogfish. Our party had it added to yummy salads, one blacked & one fried. I had the sandwich, but grilled and it was very good. It is a busy place located next to the pool and we found it is easier to obtain a table for a late lunch or early dinner during the week. All agreed we will be back! read more

I am biased because I love mostly anything seafood but I was so excited after reading all the reviews about Hogfish Harry's! First of all, the location, boy it's a hidden gem but I love the setting. The restaurant is nestled in what looks like an old school Naples hotel and so from the outside looking in you wouldn't have been able to tell that the restaurant is here, and the walk to the restaurant so cute but I imagine it wouldn't be ideal during the rainy season. I met a friend here for lunch and ordered the coconut shrimp, the mussels, and two handhelds that included the Hogfish sandwich! service and food were amazing! This pains me to write this but you'll understand why. Being generous with three stars. Was five stars for five years with me. I've been coming here for quite some time and have brought a lot of friends and family here. We basically have the Hogfish entree most of the time. Was there 3 weeks ago with family and suggested they get the Hogfish. Four of us did and it looked slightly different none of the usual sauces surrounding it and the taste wasn't there. First time this happened. Didn't enjoy it as we always had for a few years. I didn't do a review because didn't want to disparage the restaurant. But last night found out the Phelan Family Brands acquired the restaurant last March. I last dined there four months ago and it was fine, the same as the previous 5 years. It all changed since then I guess. They own Pinchers and other restaurants. So there it is. Never liked Pinchers after a one time visit a few years ago, and/or they may have a new chef. I spent close to $400 for a meal that was no longer the same and lacking the flavorful sauces surrounding it. Only found this out yesterday. Will have to stay away some time and see if the pictures and reviews have changed since the new ownership in March 2025. As a diner in Naples, aren't always hearing about the transitions in businesses. Can sometimes only tell by the change in the food. I'm going to post the only picture from four months ago and the hogfish I had in December was nothing like this. No colorful flavorful sauces. Outstanding. The Hogfish was sweet, light and cooked perfectly; with a great sauce. It came with rice and vegetables-cooked very well. Ordered a Cesar- they had anchieves to make it perfect. Waiter, Michael, was very good. Drinks excellent and decent price. Carrot Cake can feed a small army!! Took it home for our army. Came here for early dinner on Saturday. We didn't make a reservation, and were seated immediately. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Restaurant itself is very pleasant and cozy. They have many seafood options but they have some chicken as well. We had guacamole to start and kale salad. Guam was good, nothing special. Kale salad on the other hand was amazing: Brussel sprouts, pine nuts, butternut squash, goat cheese. I had mahi mahi sandwich, which was very good. I exchanged fries for asparagus. Very pretty setting. It was pleasant sitting with the vet had heating lamps on as the evening started to cool down. I started with a beer and had the clam chowder. The chowder was thick, nicely spiced and had a lot of clams in it. My wife had the coconut shrimp. A nice light batter with 6 nice sized shrimp. I had the hogfish sandwich. It was nicely fried and had tomato onion and a nice sauce on it. Opted for the Cole slaw rather than the fries. We were both full without getting a dessert. read more

I was having a quick conversation with the girl at the front desk and she recommended Hogfish Harrys; when I got back to our room I checked it out online and was like "hey hubby, we need to go here!" We came for lunch and the place is in the middle of a residential community; not easy to find. The restaurant overlooks the community pool, which is really cool because it has an areas like a cliff with lots of tropical landscaping. Plus all of this is located on an island. The restaurant itself is very keys/bahamian (lots of white with wicker touches). We shared the Mussels in a tomato broth and they were awesome. The bread was also amazing (loved the dipping). I had a Blackened Gulf Grouper Sandwich; I kept it healthy with a side of asparagus instead of fries (husband made fun the whole meal). He got excited when he saw they offer Mahi Mahi Reuben Sandwich (he loves getting them when we go to the Florida Keys). He loved it and OF COURSE he got it with fries (even though he usually doesn't get fries). This place is definitely a restaurant we will be returning to. read more

Interesting restaurant, it's located in the courtyard of a condominium complex, and very little signage. But it's a very nice setting walking across a bridge., very good service and the food is also very good. It's definitely worth a visit. read more

A couple months ago the wife and I were bored and decided to take an impromptu trip to Naples... took the drive across Alligator Alley, took a nice hike/stroll through Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary (surprisingly hot but nice), visited some great restaurants over the next 48 hours;AND NOW, it's time to pack up our bags, grab lunch and drive back to the east coast.... My wife wanted to make sure our last meal stands out, since we had such great meals so far... she showed me HOGFISH HARRY'S online and was convinced this is the place we need to be. Driving into the community where Hogfish Harry's is located, weren't completely sure we found the right area; after all, it's not on a main road or in a retail plaza and there is no other businesses around, just residential communities. Turns out the restaurant is located on an island within a residential community and overlooks the community pool, which is very nice with a lot of lush landscape built up on a hill side. It feels like this building was once their clubhouse but this is unique and has a great atmosphere. Along the lake that surrounds the restaurant and pool is plenty of beautiful landscaping and nice pedestrian bridges. The decor and atmosphere is very Key West vibe... coincidently there is a Hogfish Harry in Key West but it is not related to this gem. We had a great server that made great conversation, excellent menu suggestions and was on top of filling our drinks before we ever had to ask. We shared an order of PEI MUSSELS (in a tomato and garlic broth with some chorizo and served with some herb focaccia bread for dipping). Our appetizer was absolutely delicious... Afterwards we ordered sandwiches, My wife ordered their BLACKENED GULF GROUPER SANDWICH and loved it. You can also have it grilled or fried, if blackened isn't your thing, and it's served on a brioche bun with lemon caper tartar sauce on the side. Surprisingly, my wife got asparagus instead of fries. I went for their MAHI-MAHI NEUBEN SANDWICH and I had a grin from ear-to-ear... nice piece of Mahi-Mahi with swiss cheese, coleslaw and thousand island dressing on marble rye bread... And served with french fries. Since my wife didn't use the lemon caper tartar, I decided to dip my fries in them (quite good). And it was then that I realized whey the wife didn't order fries; she picked at mine and got to enjoy some asparagus at the same time. As we walked off the island, we noticed a front office and we inquired about this place... turns out the community surrounding the island/pool/restaurant is a rental resort called Park Shore Resort Rentals (may even consider staying here in the future). read more
