    Tuna tartare

If you haven't visited this gem over in Coconut Point you are missing out. Wife and I were there last weekend and we were blown away with their food, ambiance and great service. We started out with their Tuna Tartare which was delicious. Continued with the their Rigatoni Bolognese made with wagyu beef and cream followed by the Filet Mignon which was cooked medium to perfection. Finally we topped it off with their Chocolate Moose that was outstanding.

From the start I sensed that this tradition of birthday dinner x 2 would be good. My wife and I share. not only the month but only 3 days separate our b'days. Hence bday x 2. To start we each selected a glass of wine. My Wife selected a Chardonnay and I chose a Pinot noir from France. The Chardonnay was good as was the Pinot. Typically I Find many French was wines to be too earthy in their flavor. This one was not earthy but light in body very dark in color. A great blend of 2 of th many characteristics available in this wine. On to the appetizer

Been awhile since I've been here. Went last night and ordered the duck with risotto and broccoli rabe. It was delicious. We had a reservation since it's in season. There was a bit of a wait for service but it was busy.

Amazing very chill vibes. Very authentic, warm type of energy . There was really only one server but the team hosted and assistant were very attentive and sweet . I'd definitely come back again

This is a must! The quality of the food is amazing, mostly homemade items. It has a very nice ambiance and patio seating. Highly recommend.

We so wanted to love this restaurant but unfortunately I think we left "liking" it. Sat down ready for a nice cocktail, but instead they had a limited wine and beer only menu. Then ordered the hummus appetizer-it was good but for 16$ very underwhelming. Finally ordered our meals. The mushroom pizza was definitely worth the money. So was the steak-delicious! The waitress came to check on us maybe once the whole meal. We had to ask the bus boy for more bread and our second round of drinks. They add 20% tip onto your bill regardless.... Might come back but honestly was a bit disappointed!

We had the great fortune of finding Amfora Mediterranean European Restaurant while on vacation in Ft. Myers. From the moment that we walked in, we felt welcomed by the hostess and I was impressed by the beautiful surroundings. We were promptly seated right across from the open kitchen area where they have two gorgeous ovens. The freshly baked bread and olive oil was delicious. I ordered the veal T-bone steak which was served with polenta and roasted vegetables. This dish was exquisite. My husband had a whole fish deboned table side and was served with risotto and tomatoes with olives, my husband loved it. We were told that all desserts are made from scratch, my husband ordered the tiramisu and I ordered the baklava, both were absolutely scrumptious. The service was on-point, the waitress was kind and efficient. Needless to say, we will be back to Amfora when we visit Ft. Myers once again.

Such a nice restaurant. Bread, pizza, coffee, tiramisu, they all tasted delicious. And their restrooms were also very clean.

In the former Midici location next to Starbucks at the Coconut Point Mall, Amfora transformed from a Neapolitan Pizza into a high-end Mediterranean Grill. We've heard good things about Amfora and went for a test run. The manager and wait staff greeted us and seated promptly. Many patrons sited at the outside dining patio but we opted to stay indoor. Gone are the tree inside the restaurant from the Midici but now replaced with a smaller artificial tree with colorful reflexive light. The wine selection is good and we started with Merlot. I wanted grilled Octopus as an appetizer but it was nixed from my Sweet Heart as she heard that Braised Lamb Shank I wanted is in a sizeable portion. She went for Rigatoni Bolognese with Wagyu beef. The Braised Lamb Shank was huge and tasty from a Morocco Spicy, Ras el hanout, polenta, prunes and apricot. Equally fine was Rigatoni Bolognese. There was enough to take home! A table about 7 or 8 feet away enjoy their table side filleted Branzino. Sam did a fine job of filleting the fish as we were watching. For dessert we shared the Baklava with Gelato. The Baklava was flaky filled with pistachio nuts and light drizzle of honey. The Gelato was creamy and smooth. A great way to finish your meal. Staff are friendly, accommodating and professional made this overall excellent experience. The menu is not so big but carefully prepared. We can't wait to go back.

We celebrated our daughter's birthday at Amfora last night. The decor of the restaurant was very accommodating - they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Our waiter Jorge was very attentive and offered suggestions off the menu including their daily specials. Being Greek we started the evening with the Mediterranean Octopus - a great presentation and very tasty appetizer. I selected the seafood pappardella - linguini in a home made marinara sauce topped with scallops, shrimp, mussels and calamari. The evening was capped with a complimentary tiramisu in honor of our daughter's birthday. Bravo Amfora - we'll done.

MAGNIFICENT Amfora serves THE BEST Mediterranean food that I've ever eaten. I was recently visiting Estero for a business trip and dined there. My first meal was so good that I ended up eating dinner at Amfora three nights in a row! All of the food was fresh and made in the restaurant. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. The interior is welcoming, clean, and elegant; soft lighting and music creates a splendid atmosphere to enjoy their wonderful food. My favorite dishes were the roasted salmon and crème brûlée. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and delicious. The pizzas looked amazing, too!! All the food is cooked in massive, wood fired ovens clad in gold tiles. I wish I could eat there every day!

We have been to this fine restaurant many times over the past 6 months, and it has truly become a favorite of ours. It is a terrific place for both lunch and dinner, with ample dining both inside and out. A favorite of mine is the Calamari al Forno appetizer. It consists of 2 or 3 calamari steaks wrapping a tasty rice filling and served hot resting in home-made tomato sauce. The pizzas here are delicious, as is a dinner favorite of mine, the Faroe Island Salmon. This is a special place. This was our 1st time at Amfora, except for the 2500 miles we are away from it I hope each & every time we come to Ft Myers this will be our 1st place to eat. Although I forgot to take a photo the appetizer Grilled Octopus was tremendous, grilled to perfection & seasoned wonderfully. Our dinners if Ossobuco & Branzino were awesome, some of the best I've ever had!! Desserts were delicious also, the Walnut Baklava was so delicious!! Our waiter & the entire staff were friendly, knowledgeable & treated us like family. My advice don't miss this place you will not be disappointed, 1 visit will lead to multiple visits!! For us, can't wait to come back & move to Ft Myers area soon!

We started with drinks -- I tried their lemon drop martini, which was perfectly sweet and sour. The complimentary warm, herby pitas and sweet, diced tomato, onion, and balsamic dip were a delicious start to the night. With so many different items on the menu it was difficult to pick an entree, but I cannot resist fresh pasta. I ordered the linguine goulash, which has a rich and savory sauce filled with chopped beef. My friend ordered and loved the stuffed fiocchetti, which is very unique with its stuffed purse pasta shape and sweet pear and ricotta filling with white sauce and walnuts. Another member of our group ordered the chicken marsala, which came with very flavorful chicken and sauce, and tender roasted vegetables. We liked the larger portion sizes and decent prices for fresh pasta and high quality ingredients. We were too full to try dessert, but my eye is on the chocolate lava cake for next time! As nice surprise, Hugo -- the owner of De Adriatico, stopped by while we were eating and greeted every table. The passion he has for his food and those he meets was evident. Making De Adriatico my first choice whenever we're craving homemade pasta!
