We were going to a show at the gallery around the corner from Casa Blu and needed a place to have dinner afterwards. We made reservations online ahead of time, since it is the high season, and it was a good thing we did. It was a busy Saturday night with all the tables completely full. And now we understand why...this place is amazing. The decor is beautiful, with high ceilings and an incredible open kitchen with two wood burning stoves. There are some seats outside (with live music), but we opted for inside and were seated at a high top table next to the kitchen. It was endlessly entertaining to watch the kitchen work...we watched our burrata appetizer made right in front of us. Happy hour is from 4pm - 6pm and we got in just in time to have a couple of glasses of prosecco at the discounted price. Same with our burrata which was DELICIOUS. For dinner entrees, we tried some salads, the linguine with mussels and the gnocchi. Everything was well-cooked and flavorful. We were able to get a lot of discounted drinks, a pizza, and the beef tartare! Throughout this summer they are having specials all week, so make sure to check out their socials for the daily specials! This Mediterranean restaurant has house made dishes with fresh ingredients that are delicious! It has an open kitchen where you can watch them making dishes. What a great experience, we highly recommend . Family owned and operated, they really care about the food and experience. The mother came to our table and shared the story of the brothers and how they work together to make it a success. Bartender Daniel was very nice and also waited on us. We started with the octopus, it was one of the best we have had. I had the striped bass, it was wonderful. My wife had the burrata and was so sad when she was getting full because she wanted to keep eating it. Our son really enjoyed the Gnocchi. Unexpected Mediterranean gem! We stumbled upon this spot and were genuinely impressed. The interior is chic, beautifully designed, and sets the tone for a great dining experience. They have a thoughtful wine selection--our Albariño was incredibly smooth. The menu is on the smaller side, but everything we tried was packed with flavor. We were a group of seven and ordered several dishes to share. The charred octopus with potatoes was a standout--so good we ended up ordering three plates. The mussels were also excellent, and the wood-fired pizza was a definite crowd-pleaser. The branzino came as a surprisingly generous portion with potatoes and salad, easily enough for two people to share. We finished with the tiramisu, which was exquisite and the perfect sweet ending. The owners were warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, which made the experience even better. We're already looking forward to coming back to this new Mediterranean getaway. read more

The open concept is beautiful and you can watch your food being prepared by the chef who is Carlos one of the brothers. My wife and I dined here last night after noticing a new restaurant had opened at Coconut Point Mall. The menu looked great, so we decided to give it a try. We started with a couple of their specialty cocktails, which were excellent. For an appetizer, we ordered the octopus--great flavor, and the potato side it came with was delicious. My wife had the fig pizza from their wood-burning oven, which had a unique, incredible flavor. It's probably one of the best alternative pizza toppings I've ever tried. I ordered the gnocchi, which was outstanding. Their gnocchi is ricotta-based instead of potato-based, something I didn't know beforehand, but it made the dish lighter. Red sauces can sometimes bother my stomach, but I had no issues here. Overall, it was a great meal in a small, intimate setting. The service was attentive and friendly, and you can tell the team takes real pride in their food. The open kitchen--where you can watch the chefs prepare everything--was a very cool touch. read more

I live in Fort Lauderdale, but after our experience at Casa Blu this past Friday, I would honestly make the drive to Estero once a month just to eat here again. It was that spectacular. We had the absolute privilege of sitting at the bar, which gave us the chance to meet and converse with the owners. They are some of the warmest, most genuine people you'll ever meet--within minutes, they make you feel like you've known them forever. Their passion for hospitality is evident in every corner of the restaurant. As for the food and wine: outstanding doesn't even cover it. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, as if the ingredients were sourced specifically for our plates that evening. The wine selection is curated to perfection. In fact, the combination of the atmosphere, the kindness of the owners, and the sheer quality of the meal was so overwhelming that I literally started to cry. It isn't just a dinner; it's a soul-stirring experience. If you are anywhere in Southwest Florida (or even if you aren't!), you owe it to yourself to visit Casa Blu. Bread was crusty and tasty. We needed bread ti finish off the mussels. My wife ordered moussaka. The eggplant was firm and tasty, she loved it. I had the beef stew. Outstanding. Savory. The fajitas were delicious. I went with a friend at 5:00. There were lots of tables which were not occupied so we had a booth. The insides of the restaurant was totally redone in a pleasing blue and white in addition to the art. The server was very attentive. My friend ordered a skinny Margarita which she enjoyed. It was a bit small for the $11 price. Happy hour took $2.00 off the price. The shrimp and chicken fajitas came out sizzling and a large portion. The sides of guacamole, refried beans and tomato was quite pretty to look at and fresh. Only 4 tortillas brought out so we ordered more. By the time we left around 6:45 the place was packed inside and out. Honestly, I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu. Dogs allowed outside and service dogs inside. I've tried many taco "stands" which pop up at C-stores. Don't waste your time and money on them. Save up your Pennie's and enjoy Casa Blu!!! read more

My husband and I were in Estero recently and decided to try Casa Blu based on some reviews we read. We were blown away by the great atmosphere and quality of everything we ate. We started with a martini for him and red wine for me, both of which were excellent. We shared the wood fire octopus appetizer and my husband said it was the best octopus he had ever eaten. On the recommendation of our fabulous server, Phil, we ordered the Fire-roasted Branzino and the 8-oz. filet. Both were cooked to perfection and the presentation was amazing. Chef Carlos greeted us at our table and invited us to see the kitchen. Although we were full, Phil encouraged us to try the Tiramisu Tres Leches. We're glad we did! It was wonderful. All in all, we can't say enough good things about our experience at Casa Blu. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. read more

There were 3 of us. We all had a salad, the 2 ladies had eggplant, and I had a filet. The girls raved about the eggplant, and my steak was fabulous. The steak was just $45 and a melt-in-your-mouth experience. The homemade family steak sauce was incredibly good. I had to order more steak sauce. Had dinner last night at this new restaurant at Coconut point. It was fabulous! The only reason I don't give it a five star rating is because it's so loud in there. It's was hard to hear the person kitty corner from you. This is a common issue with many many restaurants nowadays. It's great to have the large volume ceilings, but they really don't work well for being able to hear conversation. We ordered a number of different dishes to share; some from the happy hour menu, and some from the regular menu. The Brie pizza was fabulous! The muscles were excellent, the Barada was very, very good. It could've used just a little bit more balsamic with it for additional flavor, but we also asked the waiter, Matt, who was great, to bring us more balsamic and that took care of that issue. We also ordered a Mediterranean salad and that was pretty large and seemed good. Their wine list is adequate not exceptionally large, but you don't need it to be large as long as the wines that are. there are good wines. We picked a Paso Robles and it was reasonably priced and a nice wine. We shared the lemon cake. I think it was fabulous! There was a "wandering " violin player and that was absolutely wonderful! Really added to the ambience and really enjoyable. The music was subtle and a really nice backdrop to the evening. This would be one of my regular go to's if it wasn't for the noise levels there. Living here full-time I think I would go there more during the summer months to not have to deal with the volume of the noise. They do have outdoor seating as well and that certainly would help with the noise, but this place is so charming inside I would always prefer the inside. Absolutely recommend this place!!! read more
