Every dish I've had here is amazing! Everything is very fresh and authentic. The Carbonara is so creamy even without any cream! The lasagna was exactly like the one I had in Italy made with bechamel. The cannoli was probably the best I've ever had. Stephano, the new owner who took over the restaurant, is from Venice and he waited on us and was so kind! He completely changed the menu and ingredients and we will definitely keep coming back read more

There wasn't anyone here but 2 customer came afterwards and got their food first. Alfredo sauce was extremely salty raised my blood pressure. I asked for the chicken parmigiana Which comes with the chicken and spaghetti with marinara sauce I did ask for a side of Alfredo sauce. They gave me spaghetti noodles with Alfredo sauce on it not spaghetti with marina . I order a side of Alfredo sauce . They gave me something that I didn't ordered was extremely unsatisfied how to handle the situation. Just had one of the best restaurant meals I've had in awhile. My teenage son and I were visiting from out of town for an event at Hertz Arena. We had the meatball appetizer, gnocchi with pesto and burrata, chicken Parmesan, and deconstructed tiramisu. Everything was fantastic! You could tell this food was made from scratch. Interesting wines that you don't see everyday. My mom was Italian and the sauce/meatballs was better than hers (hopefully no family members read this). I don't have any pictures of my food from my last visit here but it wasn't my first visit. They have inside and outside seating which is very nice depending on the day! I do typically get pasta when at an Italian restaurant but I was craving pizza so I got the burrata pizza! The service was a little slow but they did have a few tables to take care of and only looked like a few people were working. My pizza came out and there was something off about it. I'm not too sure what possibly the large sizzle of olive oil I wasn't expecting or what but I didn't love it. I did still eat it however because I don't like to waste food. This dining venue is located in a lovely shopping plaza. This restaurant has just been taken over by a new owner. In general, the ambiance is nice particularly when one is able to sit outside on the patio for dinner. We enjoyed our waiter who was very friendly. Bread consisted of small squares and rather crispy The meatball appetizer consisted of 3 very small meatballs which were in the okay league - not tasty enough for us. Three of the group ordered pasta dishes, one with red sauce, one with carbonara, and one with alfredo which was the creamier sauce and was more pleasing. The fourth entree was that of eggplant. A huge impressive bowl was received with a 4" by 4" square of eggplant perhaps about one inch high - no pasta was included. That was a first in our history and we dine at numerous restaurants. It was shocking and although good, totally disappointing. That in itself convinced at least two of us to never return there. The premise of this spot is great. Unfortunately the owner just needs help to service his customers. Had the sausage and mushroom panini. Bread was excellent and warm, sausage barely warm and mushrooms ( not fresh) were cold as if they had been pulled from the fridge. Just a sandwich. Not a thimble of any side and at that price point, I would think a touch of pasta salad might be in order. This owner does EVERYTHING. It doesn't translate well to a sit down cafe. Came to Caffè da Michele Osteria Italiana with our group of four for a late lunch after a morning spent outlet mall shopping. It was a pleasant day and there were two tables occupied outside and none inside, a pretty light amount of guests. We decided to sit indoors at a four top near the door to get a little ambiance and stay out of the sun. We ordered three pizzas between us, as two people were splitting one and two others were having their own. Service was an indifferent, impersonal and lackadaisical, especially considering the place was nearly empty. Compounding the lack of check-ins and lack of service attention is that the servers have very limited, frankly only rudimentary English language skills. So you are pretty much limited to only very basic one word questions or answers, or pointing at items on the menu. After a fair amount of time after ordering, maybe about say 25 to 30 minutes, a server brought out two pizzas, dropped them at our table, and abruptly left without saying a word, or offering an opportunity to speak with them. After about five to ten minutes, and no check-in by the server, I flagged them down with my arms. I wanted to make sure they got the order for the other pizza. They quickly nodded and left without a word on what was going on with the other pizza. Finally after about another 20 or 25 minutes they brought out the other pizza, also without a word as to why it was delayed. I can only come to two possible conclusions about what happened: either they forgot about the third pizza until asked, or somehow their pizza oven only cooks two pizzas at a time - this seems unlikely as the pizzas are fairly small and being shaped like flatbreads, more than two should fit in their pizza oven. The pizza itself was pretty good. I had the Capricciosa and it had tasty toppings of San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, artichoke heart, prosciutto di Parma, olives and mushrooms. While the toppings were good, I thought the crust was a bit doughy and could have used a little char. Would not come back however, with the absolutely lousy service. Too bad. read more

Called in a lunch order from the road on my way to Miami. Phone was routed to a central answering service before having to be patched to the restaurant. 2 pasta dishes and a tiramisu came to $66! I don't even think the pasta was fresh pasta. The pasta was stuck together for the fettuccine Alfredo and very "gluey". Flavor was mediocre at best. The parm was canned/shaker and not fresh, either. If you're going to charge me $24 and $28 for a lunch pasta, at least add fresh cheese... The "linguini" (actually served spaghetti) and meatballs had a red sauce that was nothing spectacular. I wouldn't be surprised if it was jarred or canned. The meatballs were underwhelming. The interior is quite small but they have a nice outdoor area with a few tables and linen tablecloths. The pasta was fresh, made by the owners brother. The dishes were full of flavor and really let the fresh ingredients shine. The suggested wine pairing went with each dish beautifully. The owner was very personable, his passion for the food he creates is clearly evident and makes you excited for the food. I went with my mom, who is Italian. Fantastic restaurant tucked away at the Miramar outlets in Estero. I discovered it accidentally while shopping and it's been my go-to place ever since. We regularly go for dinner every other Friday night and many Sundays for a family dinner. The food is incredible and authentic Italian. The wine list is extensive and superb. The new owner is hands on, friendly and like family already. We came here from Ave Maria to have dinner. We told the waiter we didn't eat meat. He recommended the carbonara and we also ordered salmon. The carbonara had meat (pork) so we tried picking it off the top, but it was all through the dish. When we mentioned it to him, he said they would make a new dish. We were ok with that, but I didn't think that the new dish without the pork would taste completely different. It was an unflavored pile of expensive pasta. We ended up taking it home as leftovers for our pups. I was frustrated with myself for not speaking up about it. But after thinking about it, the waiter should have recommended that they make a different dish, because the one we ordered wouldn't have tasted the same with the meat omitted. I would've rather picked through the first dish with the meat and had them comp. it. At least offer a comp. dessert for the error. Pretty bummed. read more

My wife and I were shopping at Miramar Outlets yesterday and discovered an Italian restaurant you'd wish you had in your neighborhood and you'd never expect to find among the stores at the outlet mall. It's Caffe' da Michele Osteria Italiana. Great food. An impressively large wine list. Great prices. And homemade pastas and bread. We ordered wines by the glass (so we could try more than one kind) -- a primitivo and a montepulciano. Both were wonderful, and very reasonably priced ($10 each). We had the Pappardelle alla Bolognese and the Lasagna alla Bolognese e Besciamella, and split a Caesar salad (with real Caesar dressing). All three were excellent. The host / server / owner was gracious and enthusiastic and clearly this place is a labor of love -- and it shows. read more

We ordered takeout online and it was ready when we arrived. So easy! Parking was convenient. We had Pappardelle alla Bolognese - a huge portion that fed two of us. We should have ordered a salad but we know for next time that it doesnt come with a side salad. We will be back next time we are in Estero. Love, love, love this place. We were shopping in the mall for back to school and I had read so many reviews of this restaurant that I wanted to stop and see what the hype was. We stopped by for lunch and it was pretty quiet so we were seated promptly. We asked the waiter for recommendations and he was awesome, we ordered the burrata and prosciutto appetizer and it was perfect for the hot summer days. In addition we ordered the calamari and we enjoyed how fresh it tasted. Finally, we had to try the pasta and so I ordered the bolognese and I fell in love. Went again tonight. No other patrons in the restaurant. I had iced tea and other people in our group ordered wine. I stared with the Cesar salad and had the gnocchi in a green pesto sauce with burrata cheese. It was delicious. The portions for the entrees aren't huge but satisfying amount. My husband had a meatball panini and he said it was delicious. Other meals were the lobster ravioli and the bolognese sauce spaghetti. We opted out of dessert. Our meal was good. Service is good. The place is casual with outdoor dining. They leave the door open so you won't get frozen out from the a/c. Sometimes restaurants are too cold to be comfortable. Not a problem here. read more

This is the First time at this restaurant located in an Outlet Mall/Department Stores in Estero, FL Service is a disappointment. Staff does not understand or communicate basic english, thus the orders were a mess. Prices shocking-worst than NYC. For two people the bill came $156.57 with the following break-down. One bottle Pellegrino sparking water $7 Two glassess of Chardoney Olilla @24 Two Minestrone soups $36 ($18 each, even in NYC this is not the case) Two Ravioli all' Aragosta $64 (was told comes with salads on the side, however it was only with tomato can sauce), basic ravioli like in a fast food place. Not at all Italian in content and presentation. If we bought ravioli in supermarket and made it home, it would be way more tasty. Two Machiato charged as espresso $6 One Tiramisu shared $10, which indeed were 4 ladies fingers covered with expreso and cream on top in our presence and sprinkled with cacao, nothing as standard tiramisu. It saves a lot of effort and material, thus they make more profit without providing the food that can justify $10. Hope this helps the public to understand where are they getting to. My pasta was literally just boiled noodles and one piece of sausage for 30$. I've also never had a bad ceaser salad because I LOVE ceaser salad but this was AWFUL! Was made with Djon mustard and had no flavor. Salt wasn't even enough to make this food edible. And the prices ?? Goodbye. read more
