My husband and I have wanted to try this restaurant for a while and were not disappointed. We ordered a bottle of wine and split a mezze platter as an appetizer. Lora talked us into trying the full grilled branzino which is SO out of my comfort zone but it was delicious. They cut and deboned it in front of us and it melted in your mouth. We also split a Greek salad which we really enjoyed. This was quite a bit of food for us but everything was wonderful. The atmosphere was nice both inside and out. Even though this is in a shopping mall it doesn't have the same feel as many of the other restaurants. Even though food was expensive, it was very obvious how fresh it was. Servers delivered our meals (wearing gloves) as soon as they were ready. Our waitress, Lora, and was fantastic. We could tell she takes a lot of pride in the restaurant and took the time to share the specials, recommend a bottle of wine and tell us her personal favorites. We shouldn't have waited so long to give this place a try but we will surely be back! read more

Facilities are very nice and clean. Service was a bit slow. Lobster soup was delicious. Salmon was wonderful but over cooked. Beet salad was not good at all and tasted awful with the burnt flavored dressing. read more

Visiting Bonita springs from miami for the weekend. decided the check out local restaurants instead of eating at the resort. We came here because the menu looked great. Everything was amazing. The octopus was extremely soft and served with an excellent excellent excellent balsamic reduction which I imagine was mixed with squid ink. The stuffed calamari was delicious. I had the duck which was amazing. We were here with a party of 10 (2 of which were kids). Th service was excellent, the food was excellent. Some of our party had pasta which is all made In house. We had 5 diff desserts which are also all made in house. Can't say enough how wonderful this place was. Must eat here. read more

We were heading to another restaurant in Coconut point when I stumbled upon this restaurant. We were excited to try when we walked in and saw the open kitchen. We were seated at a high top. Our server seemed easily distracted. We ordered a bottle of wine and when I pointed out my wine glass was dirty, he felt a need to inspect it himself and say it looked cleaned to him, even though I pointed out the black spots on the glass. He offered bread, but disappear for a while after. We ordered the calamari al forno and a cold appetizer with the hummus. I did not care for the calamari (even though I'm usually a big fan). The hummus was good. I had the swordfish with farro for dinner and my boyfriend had the special which was a seafood pasta with squid ink. We had to share our entrees as I couldn't stand the strong fishy taste of my dish. Unfortunately for me, the farro was the best part of the meal. The kitchen is beautiful, but the food and service needs improvement to me. read more

We love trying new restaurants and this is a find. Nestled into a busy section of coconut point is a Mediterranean wonderland. Very smart to have outside tables spaced apart especially this time of year when the weather is lovely. We went for lunch. The service was excellent. Our food was delivered at the right time and we were not rushed. Amorfa is pet friendly and also has heaters. Bob ordered the Calamari appetizer and it was a hit. No fried food here. Just a delectable melange of spicy red sauce, tender calamari over a bit of rice topped with a salty olive mixture. YUM. We both had salads and the ingredients were very fresh and delicious. The beets were exceptional and my Caesar was chopped which I like best. We both added shrimp which we very tender and sweet. I took a look inside and it was beautiful. I can see it lit up and romantic for dinner. Please try it out. We need this level of dining at coconut point. read more

Incredible!! Will be making this my go to restaurant. They have amazing options with cheeses, prosciutto, TRUFFLE (!!), etc. We tried the Amfora salad with salmon and the chicken (pollo Toscano). Both incredibly well made. Quality was great plus the method is impeccable. read more

FABULOUS food! We ordered the shrimp and olive tagliatelle, white fish with capers, salmon, petite mezzo Platter and three mushroom pizza. What an exquisite place to eat. Today we send a huge compliment to the chef as our did himself. You can tell the veal and lamb were slowly cooked. The meat come off the bone as quickly as butter melts. We ended the night with a delicious delicacy. Absolutely a must come back! read more

The restaurant was very appealing and pleasant inside. The seating was spacious and comfortable space far enough to provide privacy. The menu was for its price range very limited. We order a bottle of House Red, the least expensive wine on the wine list for reds at $40.00. We received Gabbiano Cavaliere D'Oro Chianti (2021) which retails at a local wine store at $8.99. My wife ordered the Amfora Salad-wood oven-roasted beets, marinated goat cheese, walnuts, and watercress honey pomegranate molasses dressing for $15.00, which she liked very much. For dinner, We were told that the Turmeric Chicken the least expensive meal was not available I ordered the Mushroom Pappardelle-exotic mushrooms, English peas, fresh tarragon, and mushroom sauce for $26.00. There was not a whole mushroom in the dish If there was a sauce, I did not find it. My wife ordered Lamb Shank, Ras el hanout (Moroccan Spiced Mix which usually contains Cloves, Allspice, Black Pepper, Mace, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Ginger, Turmeric, Rosebuds, Cumin, White Pepper, Coriander, Nutmeg, Saffron, Bay Leaves, and Paprika) for $38.00 My wife said that the spices made it a little different from other lamb shanks she has had, but not that impressive. We had Tiramisu which we thought was very good, for $8.00 We felt the restaurant was overpriced for the dishes and wine served read more

We found this place on a whim after walking around the farmers market while on vacation and decided to give it a try. I was a little nervous to bring my kids as I wasn't sure if it was kid friendly but it was! The ambiance is amazing! We sat on the patio next to the fire pit and it was so nice. The inside is very cool with the giant wood fired ovens and open kitchen! The menu was incredible. It was really hard to choose what to get! Everything we had was amazing! We started with the halloumi appetizer, which was really delicious. It was bright and fresh even though it's basically friend cheese My kids got the pasta with red sauce and the pizza. Both were incredible, like adult quality dishes. Not just boxed pasta and jarred sauce. My 7yo (who gets pizza almost 100% of the time when we go out) said this is the best pizza he ever ate! I had the turmeric chicken, which was incredible and my photo didn't turn out My husband had the short ribs which were absolutely amazing! Soooo tender and I loved the farro they were served with! Everything was so great, service was excellent. I highly recommend!! read more

Such a great place to eat! Not only is the service and the ambiance amazing, but the food and drinks are fabulous too!! My aperol spritz was not as bitter as i expected and was very delicious and my mom said her cosmopolitan was excellent! Our food was even better! The food may seem like it is kinda out there but it's worth giving it a try. I had baba ghanouj for the first and and it was amazing paired with my veggies and salmon. My mom got the margarita pizza and it was so good!!!! Perfectly baked in their wood fired oven. We try to make it here every time we come to Estero! read more

Amfora has a delightful interior. The large wood fired ovens make a statement, but the vibe is very welcoming and unpretentious. The food was amazing. So fresh! My friend had the whole branzino, de-boned table side, and I had a Mediterranean salad with salmon. Both were delicious and perfectly seasoned prepared. I always appreciate when chefs don't feel the need to over do it with their dishes because they're working with high quality ingredients. And if you're not a seafood fan, they had yummy wood fired pizzas, pastas and other entrees that all sounded wonderful. I wanted to order one of everything. I'll certainly be back. This will become a go-to place for us. You won't be disappointed! read more

My husband and I ate here last night for dinner for the first time. We ate outside and the restaurant was busy, but the hostess was very accommodating and found us a really nice table on the outside near the beautiful outdoor fireplace. We ordered the beet salad and split it to start I had a glass of nice wine. The beet salad was fresh just enough tartness in the dressing to compliment the beets that were roasted perfectly. We then split a couple of dishes... the stuffed calamari was amazing and I am not even a fan of wood fired calamari! The hazelnut and roasted carrots side was perfection. Perfectly cooked! Our server was wonderful and her attention to our table was perfect. We will be back to try new items and repeat those items we had the first time! read more

We had not noticed Amfora in our three years coming down here and it's right next door to Starbucks where we've stopped many times. Food was delicious, atmosphere was cozy & comfortable & service very attentive but not intrusive. Definitely will go back soon.

Beautiful OUTDOOR seating. Delightful service inside or out. Delicious food. Complimentary bread with olive oil begins the experience. Tonight we decided to try the Calamari appetizer and Frutti Di Mare Mediterranean style pizza. Ask for extra homemade focaccia bread to dip into the amazing Calamari sauce. Delightful dessert menu. This gem is a new addition to SWFL and I highly encourage you to give it a try. Friday night music serenade ! read more

We were very disappointed with the service here. The bread was wonderful and that was it. We ended up leaving as the server told us we weren't allowed to order pizza. 20 minutes later after we ordered with no arrival or food we saw 2 orders of pizza going to another table. We continued to wait with no explanation of what happened and an attitude from the woman running the food to the tables. What a grand disappointment. I'm only giving 2 stars because I know they are new. read more

We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and checked in but were made to stand outside. It was horrible and unprofessional and I do not recommend going there. read more

Interesting menu. Great service. Food was great and well presented. Atmosphere is casual and very loud inside. Pricing is moderate to high, but the quality is very good. read more

First the good . The various dishes we ordered were delicious. They included lamb shank, filet mignon, pasta with seafood and duck. The overal experience could have been better. Upon arrival, our party of four were initially kept waiting while the host went to converse with the assistant manager to obtain permission to seat us in a corner booth, per our reservation. They then attempted to seat us at a table for three which was unacceptable. I made our feelings very clear and we were then seated appropriately as previously requested. It was not a pleasant experience. The service was just average. Dirty dishes were not removed from the table and new silverware was not offered between courses. The staff was at all times pleasant but lacking in execution. We tipped generously as we usually do, but were left with a feeling of a less than satisfactory experience. I hope they can get their act together, as there is great potential there. read more

Second visit. Fail! Yellow margarita pizza was not yellow, out of yellow tomatoes! That aside, pretty good dough, but goes downhill fast with bland fresh tomatoes and not much mozzarella cheese. Three dollars for club soda! Glass of wine was sparse. Bottom line, not very good pizza and rather expensive. I gave them a second chance , the first time I ate here, the lamb shank was cool on the inside. Poor value given the shortcomings. Very impressive wood fired oven, too bad they don't seem to grasp its potential. The server was very nice. read more

One of the best meals I've ever enjoyed...in my entire life!! Everything was incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared. I had the beet salad and the Chilean sea bass with risotto and seaweed salad for my entree. It was phenomenal!! I had the chocolate mousse for dessert....of course, that was phenomenal too.
