    Mushroom risotto
    Lisa T.

My husband and I went to Bistro 821 for our anniversary because our daughter gave us a gift certificate. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and they had the table decorated with little hearts. We were offered a nice seat right by the window, and our server, Danielle, came over immediately to welcome us. We decided to order some cocktails to start. I ordered the "Cruel Summer" which was an Aperol spritz infused with strawberry. It was $15 and very delicious. The strawberry paired well with the bitterness of the Aperol. My husband ordered the "Oldie Original" which was their take on an old-fashioned. It was quite a large poor and he really enjoyed it. It was $17. The menu features heavily with seafood and I am not a seafood lover, so I decided to just get a half a wedge salad and then 2 sides: mushroom risotto, and miso glazed, Brussel sprouts. The wedge salad was quite big for being a half serving. It was very fresh and very good. It was only $11. The brussels sprouts were heavily glazed and very crispy. We shared them. They were delicious, and again, a large serving for a side item and only $11. The mushroom risotto was a large serving as well. It was $12 and good, but nothing special. The portions were so large that I was able to take home half of the Brussel sprouts and half of the risotto. My husband started with a house salad, $10, which he said was fresh and very good. He especially enjoyed the tomato. He loves seafood and for his entrée he ordered the goat cheese vodka, penne. It was $35 and he said it was delicious with large flavorful shrimp. We were honestly too full for dessert, when our server brought out a complementary anniversary dessert. It was a chocolate flourless cake with vanilla ice cream and accompanied with fresh berries and 2 candles. It was heavenly and we ate it, even though we were not planning on getting dessert. Overall, we had a wonderful evening at Bistro 821. Everything was delicious, and Danielle was an outstanding server. We also enjoyed the music in the background. I would definitely recommend Bistro 821 to anyone looking for a restaurant on Fifth Avenue. It's a great place to celebrate a special occasion or to go for a romantic dinner, especially if you enjoy seafood.

Angela took good care of me! It's "Sizzle" time in Naples and many restaurants offer a 3 course meal at a flat rate so you can try different entrees at a reduced rice. I chose Lobster Bisque followed by Sole basted in butter with a Parmesan crust and Lemon Buerre Blanc to taste, sides of mashed potatoes and broccolini. Outstanding. And now . . Key Lime pie to send me home in a food coma.

We have been to Bistro 821 before, and after our experience last night, we'll go again - especially on a Sunday night - and we'll request Sean as our waiter! We loved the couple's Wine & Dine special and we were all impressed with our delicious meals. Sean is a hoot and he made our dinner a lot of fun! One of our favorite Naples restaurants!

Bistro 821 is a chic, nouveau restaurant on the main drag in downtown Naples that offers eclectic cocktails and some of the best-tasting sea bass I have ever enjoyed. I would return just for the sea bass. It's buttery, flaky deliciousness that tantalizes the senses to a place of spiritual purity and strength; strength and spiritual purity. The sad part was I didn't order it. I ordered the white truffle dry-aged NY strip. While that was good with its creamy risotto and asparagus, it didn't compare to the Sea Bass that was out-of-this-world amazing in its flavor profile. Meanwhile, I enjoyed delicious cocktails like the gin-based Empress' New Groove and tequila-forward Jalapeño Business. Both were fantastic. Parking is easily located both on the street and in the nearby parking garages. It's fun to sit outside under one of the canopy-covered tables and enjoy cocktails and Sea Bass as people and hot cars roll on by.

Our dinner was delicious and perfectly enjoyable. Food was prepared to perfection and our service was excellent. The ambiance was nice as we celebrated our anniversary.

We had a wonderful meal and service from Angela. We smarted with baked Bree with a savory mushroom sauce. We were also served some warm dinner rolls that were very tasty. My wife had an old fashioned and I had the seasonal beer on tap. For main dishes, I had the seafood risotto. The sauce was excellent and there was enough to keep the rice moist without overweighting the dish. My wife had the pasta primavera. The presentation of the vegetables was very pretty as was the taste. We were too full for desert. The acoustic guitars that were playing was a nice accompaniment to the meal. The runs wax pleasant and they were played at a volume that allowed conversation.

So glad we visited 821 Bistro. Dinner was very good and the service from the hosts welcome, our server Lauren and the manager were all so professional and pleasant. The food was very good and so many options of both seafood and land foods.

I had an amazing experience at Bistro 821. I would highly recommend making a reservation vs walking in. I decided to dine at the bar instead of waiting for my table & that was the best decision! The bartenders provided excellent service & great drinks! For my meal, I ordered the pick 2 and went with the recommended sea bass, jumbo prawns and ginger & garlic green beans. I would visit Naples again just for this meal! For dessert I went with the crème brûlée and that was good as well. Street parking can be hard to find but there is a small lot in walking distance (corner of 9th st & 5th Ave. The vibe of this restaurant is more laid back compared to other spots on the strip. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend trying Bistro 821!

Excellent food and service! We made a reservation on Open Table and were running about 15 mins late. We texted to let them know & it was no problem. They had a table ready when we arrived. We decided to sit outside and enjoyed the ambiance of 5th Avenue. Ordered a bottle of wine, and Hubs had a ceaser salad and seafood risotto. He enjoyed both. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which was served with carrot mashed potatoes and asparagus. The fish was perfectly prepared and cooked. It was so delicious! The veggies were very good as well. Based on this experience, we would definitely go back!

AMAZINF food! Frank was the best waiter! Everything was incredible. From the moment we walked to when we walked out - front desk and waiters were incredible. The food came out fast and was phenomenal.

For Wine and Food lovers, Rebecca's is a market, neighborhood bar, and a restaurant that offers an enjoyable experience for reasonable prices. We never realized the extent of what Rebecca's had to offer until we joined their wine club. We had always enjoyed 360 market when it was on the riverside, but Rebecca's offer so much more. We have been to a couple of their Experiences where you enjoy a theme wine tasting accompanied by a small food pairing. It was actually after one of the "Experiences" that we decided to join their wine club. Membership is worth the $ with the bimonthly free tastings, as well as any of the 2 per week Experiences you can luckily get into. Downside of membership is space is limited for the Experiences so we have been waitlisted many times. WINEs - Let's face it; you go to Rebecca's because of their nicely curated wines section for $3.60 above wholesale prices. With the wine club, you get to be able to sample many different wines from different countries/regions and varietals you wouldn't have otherwise tried. The pours for the bi-monthly wine tastings are also very generous, so well worth the money. FOOD/RESTAURANT - If not being a wine member, we would not have appreciated how good the food really is. We had occasionally visited Rebecca's for happy hour previously without being members. Since joining, we have tried many of their food items and found them delicious. The pizzas are surprisingly very very good. We love the pepperoni pizza (The Red). The cheese board is varied and you can tailor to your taste. Their happy house special is limited offering of steak and unlimited frites is very tasty. The appetizers are all great. Too many food options to mention them all. Ambiance/Service - the vibe here is comfortable with a hint of upscale elegance, without being haughty. Inside there is the long bar, high top tables, as well as regular tables. Many areas for outdoor seating. The owner can be seen walking around the restaurant saying hello to the customers. The restaurant manager often comes to tables to make sure everything is OK. I will start off with the pro's of our visit. The food was on point. We all loved the food and dined on chicken Milanese, short ribs, pork chops, steak and pasta. Every person in our party agreed the food was absolutely delicious. Kudos to the chef! We chose to dine outside. The weather was perfect and the ambiance was very nice as well. It was a very nice environment. There was only one con and to us this is a big one. If this was not a con I would have given 5 stars. The waiter, Ted. He was quick to greet us when we arrived and we appreciated that. He went to take our drink order and the whole table noticed the attitude. Right away he had an air to him that made us all feel like he was annoyed by us being there. We ordered drinks and someone wanted to add a diet coke to the order and he made the comment, "Before i go back is there anything else you want?" That comment could be said nicely but it was said in a snarky tone that made us feel even more that we were annoying him. When I went to order chicken Milanese I asked him to explain it a little more, I was just looking for something like if you like chicken marsala this would be similiar, or whatever would have been appropriate. Instead, Ted told me that it was in the description and literally read it to me. I was insulted and very much annoyed at this point. After I ordered my chicken Milanese I decided to add the fingerling potatoes and he somewhat rolled his eyes at the addition. There were a few more snafoos along the way but those could have been forgiven if the waiter was nice, somewhat talkative and had a personality. At the very end of the night someone asked for a box. He took their food and boxed it. There were several of us with quite a bit of food on our plates still. Instead of saying who here will need a box he just acted like no one else wanted their food boxed. I had more than half of my food left. He said who else needs their food boxed but didn't look around the table, just took the next plate that said they want theirs boxed. I tried to say I wanted mine but he walked away. When he came back I said I would like mine boxed as well. He said in an extremely annoyed tone, "Anything else I can do for you while I'm in the back?" At this point I would not hold my tongue any longer. You don't go to a very nice expensive restaurant to be treated that way. I said, "Do we annoy you? You have been giving us an attitude all night. I don't appreciate the way you have made us feel. If you don't like people then this kind of job isn't the best for you." He then tried to backtrack. He said oh no, I just asked who needed their meals boxed and I kept having to go back and forth. I said I tried to tell you but you didn't give me the opportunity. He asked if I wanted to see the manager and I told him no but was obviously not happy. So the final straw was our check. He didn't ask if we are all on one or how it would be handled. He just brought out the check and put it on the table. Someone in our party said can this be split. He said yes it can be and asked who was together so he could split it. He was gone for 10 minutes and returned with the check not even close to being right. So when he came back we ran back through who is together again and what each person got. He disappeared for another 15 minutes. Then the female manager stopped over and told us that there are some problems with the check that they are having a hard time figuring it out. So she asked once again who was together. We went through the check once again. She said give me a minute and I will quickly get your checks to you. After about 10 more minutes she came back to the table. Some checks were right and some still wrong but they paid it anyways. The manager kept apologizing profusely but didn't offer us anything. Not even as gesture of good will to get us to come back. In fact, she was trying to place an extra basket of $14 french fries on someone's bill and no one ordered them. Instead of just wiping them out she spent time on it. This night could have gone completely different if the service was different. If the waiter had a better personality, the night would have been light hearted and many things could have been forgiven. I don't go out and spend $200 on dinner for two people to feel like I'm annoying the restaurant when I have basic requests. We loved Mercato and will definitely visit again but next time we will choose a different restaurant.

I've been a member since 2018 and we've gotten to know some of the staff members. We visit at least once a month and ask for specific staff for our table. We bring many friends in as well and it means a lot to be happy with the experience. We continue to have troubles when asking for a specific section, which should not take place at any restaurant, especially one that is higher end such as Coopers Hawk. Last night was a final straw of where I'm pausing my membership, but after no response from this location or corporate, I'll be canceling and never returning. I get the run around almost every time I'm asking for a specific staff's section, even though we arrive at least 1 hour early every visit, and this is the only restaurant I have this issue with. We arrived at 5:45pm, checked in with the hostess stand for our 7:15pm reservation,  reiterated that we'd like Jane's section as I asked for in my reservation instructions, and attended a wine tasting. 7:15pm arrived and passed by. We followed up with the hostess stand and was told we would have to wait until 7:30-7:45pm. 7:45pm arrive and passed and we started feeling irritation. We addressed the hostess stand, again, to get the run around. By this time, the manager (Cindy) approached and asked what was wrong. I explained that we are having issues asking for a specific staff member's section, again, for I've addressed this with Cindy in the past and she's is always combative. She told me Jane's section has had the same 3 tables for over 2 hours (when we checked in) and nothing was available to us. I told her that was hard to believe and we're going to leave and have dinner elsewhere. All of a sudden they were able to give us a table that Jane was able to serve. Jane has always been one of our favorite staff members for she goes above and beyond making sure our experience is perfect every visit. She's kind, makes sure our food is great, and makes the visit that much more. After last night, I'm hesitant to return, especially if Cindy is working. She should not be in a management position, and the restaurant needs to learn how to organize tables, especially for reservations.
