Such an awesome place. Fish tacos with grouper were amazing. Host / waitstaff so friendly and helpful with an aged parent alongside. Cute place on the inside. Thank you for everything. We will be back! read more

I have been caming here for over 10 years. The grouper basket, the grouper linquini and the clam chowder are excelent. The prices are very reasonable. You can NOT go wrong in this place. You pay for a great quality of food. I can go to a very expensive fish house restaurant in naples and the food will NOT be as good as this place. Hurray for the owner. read more

Mom and Pop. Many locals and regulars. Not hipster. Not young. Delicious grouper on Caesar for me, w rice and veggies for him. Tiny spot w great service. Joe was in Joe's corner. Locals were pouring in for great lunch. The American dream small restaurant. Lots of conversation. Salute our veterans. Great experience and still have our take out Key Lime Pay to try. A classic. read more

Five stars all around. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the crab cake and key lime pie really stood out. Alex was a fantastic host and took great care of us, made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back read more

I like to stop at this little restaurant every time I am on the area. They make one of the best soups around. I once tried the apple soup and was hooked with the soup of the day. Whatever soup they make is very good and my reason for stopping every time. Today's I ordered the seafood chowder. I didn't get the soup of the day the shrimp chowder only because of allergies. The seafood chowder was excellent. I loved it and it was delicious. I then ordered the Grouper sandwich. It was good and flaky. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed my time here. I liked my time here and the food. read more

An absolute MUST if you're in Naples. This is very clearly a locals favorite and the service here caters to it. In our hour of dining, tons of people came and gone and the staff knew them by name and order. Very impressive. The food justifies its reputation. We got the conch fritters, seafood chowder, chicken tenders, grouper and chips and the dark and tart. The conch fritters were a surprise. We had never had them before but they were delicious. Just the right texture and the sauces that came with it were perfect. Seafood chowder was served in a mug which had its own cute charm to it. It was so delicious, buttery and chunky full of clams, grouper, and potatoes. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't put in shrimp as a filler. I'm allergic to shrimp so I appreciated that it wasn't included. Grouper and chips were delicious! Very crispy but the fish was so tender and fell apart delicately. Also included some tasty tartar sauce. Lastly the dark and tart was a nice surprise! I had been wanting to try key lime pie but was worried I wouldn't like it so I appreciated the inclusion of chocolate mousse. What a great combo! A must order in my opinion. It wasn't as tart as I expected but the chocolate balanced it out well. 100% recommend stopping here if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed. Expect a wait as the place gets packed and is not huge. Indoor and outdoor seating, good amount of parking. Don't think about it, plan a visit! read more

This is truly a hidden gem that has been a local favorite for quite sometime. I had been several years ago and was so happy to find this gem that I knew I had to go when I was in Naples for my HS reunion. Nothing fancy here but some of the best seafood in the area. The Grouper and shrimp were fresh and the batter was light and crunchy. Went at lunch and got the lunch size portion which was a lot of food. Wait staff were warm and friendly and kept my glass of tea full. It is a very casual and quaint place which offers outdoor and indoor seating. They do quite a bit of business with a steady stream of cars coming and going for to go orders. This is definitely a must visit place if you find yourself in Naples. read more

Always have to stop when visiting Naples. The absolute best grouper ever! I love the blackened and fried equally. There are so many interesting things on the menu that I'd love to try , but I can't get away from the grouper. Yes, it's that good! It's a small place, so go early. The wait is worth it. read more

Grouper & Chips delivers seafood the way it should be done--fresh, thoughtful, and consistently excellent. The New England seafood chowder is rich and comforting without being heavy. I had the linguine with blackened grouper, and it was outstanding: perfectly seasoned, flaky fish tossed with olive oil, garlic, fresh vegetables, and their signature lemon beurre blanc, finished with a warm petite pan roll. The tempura-battered grouper and fries is a classic for a reason--ultra-fresh fish, light and crispy batter, never greasy, with solid fries, fresh coleslaw, and great tartar sauce. Do not skip dessert. The "Dark & Tart" key lime pie with chocolate mousse is bright, tangy, creamy, and indulgent in the best way. Great food, genuinely friendly service, and consistent execution make this a must-eat in Naples. Ps the place is tiny and cozy, so if you go at prime dinner hours be prepared to wait but absolutely worth it. read more

1st time here.....we ordered the hush puppies which were good. I ordered the grouper & shrimp. The shrimp was excellent, sorry to say the grouper was mushy, only good thing was the breading. The fries were meh. Tried it, won't be back, was not good enough to want again. read more

We had dinner with my wife and son and arrived at 5 PM We were greeted promptly and seated, I had the sautéed grouper with linguine which had wonderful flavor-it was memorable. My son had fried grouper with vegetables. My wife had grouper basket which allowed her to select from 3 different options which let her to select the proper portion according to her appetite. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent The other patrons were all local and friendly that we felt like we were eating with family We highly recommend Grouper and Chips read more

Don't let the unassuming exterior detour you from walking in. This place has some of the freshest grouper in town. And offered at a reasonable price (compared to other places in the area). My wife and I both went for the grouper in two different ways. I selected a basket with 2 pieces that were fried, which also came with fries and coleslaw. My wife chose blackened, with the same sides. My grouper was super fresh, and tasted fantastic! But I have to say, my wife's blackened grouper looked equally good, and she loved hers as well. And the service was wonderful also! Very friendly wait staff that was regularly checking in with us. But there is more. Just when we thought we were done, our server high recommended the key lime pie. We had just enough room to share a piece, and, oh man, were we so happy we did. One of the better ones I've had in a long time! Needless to say, we must come back to sample more! read more

Food , drinks , and service are very good !!! Super friendly server and fast food turn around time .

Nice little, and I mean little, spot that we stopped at for lunch. Seating is minimal but we were there for a mid-week lunch so had no problem getting a table. Ordered the 1/2 shrimp and 1/2 grouper blackened basket to share. The food was fresh, coleslaw tasty and fries crispy. Cocktail and tarter sauces were both good. Only issue we had was they were heavy handed on the blackening seasoning which took away from the taste of the fish and shrimp. Staff is friendly. We would go back again and just request for light seasoning. read more

Great grouper, either fried or sautéed is great. Vegetables and rice if I'm trying to eat healthier, but often get their really great French fries and slaw. Talk about a hidden local gem - this is it! Family run small cafe serving first rate grouper, shrimp. I had the grouper milanese - lightly breaded in a wonderful sauce- rice and veggies at an incredible price given that it's Naples. Grouper & shrimp basket - well fried. Cole slaw fresh and delicious. Stand out: clam chowder - simply excellent. Can't wait to return. Tables outside too. read more

We stopped in and ordered the blackened grouper and the fried grouper, both were fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You could really taste how local and well-seasoned the fish was. The blackened had just the right amount of spice, and the fried version was golden and crispy without being greasy. But the real star? The key lime pie. Hands down the BEST we've ever had smooth, tangy, and just the right amount of sweetness with a perfect graham cracker crust. We're still talking about it! This is the kind of small business that makes you feel right at home. The two ladies serving us were so kind and welcoming, checking in to make sure everything was great and making the experience even more special. If you're in the area, make this a must stop. Great food, even better people, and that key lime pie is something you won't forget! read more

We were passing through town and decided to stop here off a family's recommendation. I must say, this place is awesome!!! My first bite of the linguini with blackened grouper is something I'll never forget. In fact I'm still craving the dish again. There is just a burst of flavor with every bite that's only accentuated with the blackened grouper. The grouper basket is simple and delicious, you can mix and match how you'd like your grouper cooked which I thought was a nice touch to the experience Prices are very reasonable for the portion and quality of food you receive. The service was friendly and accommodating and we didn't have to wait long for our food. This local restaurant gets packed, we came 30 mins after opening on a Friday afternoon and almost every table was taken indoors. There is outdoor seating however and even though outside was very sunny, there is a nice breeze that sweeps through to keep you cool. Come early and come hungry! I'm looking forward to my next visit in Naples just so I can eat here again! read more

Always FABULOUS! Grouper linguine! Fresh, real iced tea and nice wine selection! Been eating here 30 years!

The food was amazing! Especially the key lime pie, and it felt like it was definitely a local place.

I've been coming here for 35 years and it had always been reliably good. I haven't been in a year and a half and this time unfortunately the grouper and chips was absolutely dismal. The Cole slaw was bland and runny. The fish batter has changed and is not light and crispy. The fish was overcooked, the texture rubbery and all of it lacked flavor. The woman who took our order was very nice but that doesn't make up spending $30 for such an unappetizing order of grouper and chips. Sad to say it but, Don't'...just don't. read more

Wow! Place is pretty tiny, we were party of 9, yet we were seated right away outside, inside looks pretty tight and needs a bit of renovation. So I preferred to sit outside. Food was absolutely delicious!!! Everything was seasoned so well, even the steamed veggies were steamed perfectly. Came here twice while on vacation, our server was very friendly and made some recommendations. Would absolutely recommend the place! You won't regret it read more

10/10 -- I knew right away we'd found the right place when our server came up and asked if we wanted 3, 4, or 5 pieces of fish with our order of fish and chips. That confidence set the tone for an excellent experience. The server was very attentive throughout, the grouper was perfectly fried, and the fries were spot-on with just the right level of crispiness. read more

In Naples for weekend and gave it a shot. Fantastic food and super nice owner. Definitely locals vibe. Highly recommend

Grouper and Chips, located in Naples Florida, is an absolute must try. Drove across alligator alley from Hollywood Florida trying to kill time waiting for a late night flight and had to check out of my Airbnb. This place doesn't disappoint. Found it on Yelp and decided to give it a try. 230 pm and there is a line out the door of people waiting. Good sign I'd say. We add our name to the list and wait about 20 minutes to be seated. We take a table outside, first available. Ordered some seafood gumbo to start. Super flavorful with all the right stuff. Just a little bit of spice and heat to it, a must try. Next up was the 3 piece grouper basket with fries. Grouper was delicious and the fries were hot and crispy: grouper batter and fish was full of flavor and the fish was flaky and perfectly cooked. The grouper is awesome. Next up was a piece of key lime pie. Por was good, don't get it with the mousse, it ruins it in my opinion. Great staff that was super friendly and attentive. If ever in Naples again, I'm coming back here for a delicious meal again. read more

Another great meal and SERVICE at grouper and chips! Showed up with nine people and were seated inside within 20 minutes. What a find! Our server, Alex, was friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding: my crab cake was the best I've ever had! Hubs sauteed grouper on linguine was divine. We both loved our sides of crisp tender zucchini, carrots and broccoli. The portions were generous and so we sadly didn't have room for dessert. Great spot! Tiny but busy!! Even middle afternoon on a Monday this place was packed! But you have to sit inside because outside you're sitting in a parking lot which is very loud also with the busy road. In summer it's utterly hot. Inside it wasn't really cool either. Great and friendly service and the food was good! The 3 piece basket has 3 large pieces and fries and coleslaw. You also get tartare sauce. Was it the best fish and chips I ever had, no. Far from it. It was good but the batter crust was ok. The fries were good and long. I did personally not care for the tartare sauce at all, it was mayonnaise to me. It's not cheap either. Glad I finally experience this but I won't come back. read more
