This place came highly recommended. We all had various versions of the grouper--basket, sandwich, blackened, fried, etc.. probably the best grouper sandwich on the island. They also locally source all their fish. Service is good. Basically two people working. One cooking while the other is handling orders, serving food and helping out in the kitchen when available. Seems like a lot but they handle it very well. Tartar sauce is tasty. You need to try it out. 5

Catch of the day taco with coleslaw
    Leslie S.

Cash only! (there is an ATM available ). My friends and I ordered the following: Basket with the catch the day, which I believe was triple tail, and a side of fries: The fries were great, the fish was very good, although it needed a bit of salt (better than being overly salty!). Catch of the day taco with coleslaw: my friend said the coleslaw was unusual and not really to her liking (she likes vinegar based coleslaw, but she said this had a strange flavor). The soft taco shell was quite full of fish and extras, and, while the fish was good, overall the taco seemed tasteless to her. Combo platter with the catch of the day: this friend enjoyed his meal, but wished that there was cocktail sauce for the shrimp. He said the beans and rice had a nice flavor. He was not happy that the shrimp and fish were piled on top of said beans and rice - he said if it was a "platter" they should be next to it (even though the menu actually states the fish is served over the beans and rice). We ordered a piece of Keylime pie, but they did not bring it out with our meal, I had to go back up to the counter and get it. I felt that it was a little too sweet and little "gooey". My friends were not impressed with it. But, pie is pie, and always welcome in my mind! When you come in, you order at the counter and then have your choice of seats inside or out. They will bring your food to you. All the drinks are in bottles or cans in the cooler next to the order counter. Parking is tight, although there are about a dozen spaces. Restrooms are outside around the corner - not sure if they were a "common" restroom to be used by the rest of the little shopping center or if they were LeeBe's alone. The food came out quickly and the catch of the day for all of us was well cooked, tender and free of any bones. I thought we got a good amount of fish with our orders

Best fish in Marco Island! LeeBe is a beach hut style spot with cold beers and picnic tables where you can watch them bring in all the fresh fish. Important to note it's cash-only. When you walk in, there's a fish market on the right where you can get the days stone crab, shrimp, scallops, and fresh catches of fish. You can also dine in or take-out delicious fresh fish sandwiches, fried fish entrees, peel and eat shrimp, etc. The go-to order is the blackened group sandwich and peel and eat shrimp, and if you're in a splurge mood, definitely the freshly cracked stone crab. Usually takes about 10-15 minutes to get your order, so grab a cold one and enjoy the island time, baby

    Jumbo stone crab

Absolutely delicious jumbo stone crab! It was well cracked and easy to access the meat. My husband's blackened mutton snapper was really good too. He liked the beans and rice. We enjoyed the key lime pie too. This was such a treat to find such great quality fresh stone crab!

    Blackened grouper

LeeBe has expanded their space and added so many new choices to their menu. You can read all the details on John tanners bbq blog, search "leebe"

Everything was fresh. Probably more of a convenience if you are staying at one of the nearby villas.

The restaurant he usually goes to was packed, but as it turns out, that was a blessing in disguise. Just around the bend we found Pelican Bend, and I'm so glad we did. The parking lot had a handful of cars, and there were a dozen or so people scattered around tables and the bar--definitely felt like a laid-back spot where locals hang out. The setup is great: several rows of Adirondack chairs, an outdoor bar, about 10-12 umbrella-covered tables, and a screened-in porch with another bar and additional seating. Relaxed, coastal, and inviting. Our waitress, Sydney, was absolutely lovely--friendly, kind, and honestly one of the best servers I've had in a long time. She was very personable and made several recommendations, all of which were spot on. We started with the calamari, which can be tricky, but this was cooked perfectly. My dad ordered the seafood chowder and a wedge salad and loved both. I ordered the grouper sandwich with a side wedge salad. Between the calamari and the salad, I was so full I ended up taking the sandwich home--and it was still delicious the next day after a quick spin in the air fryer. If you're in the Marco Island/Isle of Capri area, definitely give Pelican Bend a try. Great food, top-notch service, and thoughtful touches too--the sun kept shifting, and the hostess even came over to rotate the umbrella for us. A really wonderful experience.

The salad bar is a nice touch, it's not huge, but it's enough and it's something that we loved and you just don't see anymore. Our table was right on the water, great view and you really can't beat the outdoor dining experience. Band was really good and we enjoyed the live music! Our service was great our waiter was friendly and attentive. Seating options are varied, something for everyone. You can sit under the tiki roof, you will find the bar and band in there. It's dark, but open air and if you like a lively loud environment when you eat, this is the place to be. There is indoor seating near the salad bar, if you want a more calmer, quiet setting, this is where you want to be. There is an outdoor setting at picnic tables, if you want an outdoor setting with water views and live music, this is where you want to be, but you will need to wait to be seated. This is an extremely casual place, no need to dress up. Some not so good: Parking here is a disaster! Uber here if you can, as the parking situation is limited and tight and you find yourself circling the lot waiting for people to leave. This place doesn't take reservations, wait times can be significantly high, which doesn't help the parking situation. If you want to eat outside, be prepared to wait. We came on a Wednesday night, 5:30 (early) in April (not the busiest time of year) and we waited 45 minutes for an outdoor table. We didn't really care as we had a drink and talked, but you might.

The daily special menu drew us in and we ordered from it. I had the tacos of the day, a mild white fish that I forget the name, and they were very good. A bargain at $10 for 2. I also had the volcano shrimp which was very good. They were fried and slightly spicy. The diced mango on top was a good addition. I enjoyed my dishes very much. The wife had shrimp tacos and liked them very much. Her two tacos came with a lot of fresh shrimp that was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. Her meal came with slaw and she chose onion rings, which were good. She did not order off the special menu and I think her two tacos were $22. The kid had sliders from the special menu, which included two sliders for $8. She ate 1.5 sliders which is good for her. Our server Stephanie was attentive and friendly. She answered all our questions on the menu and was pleasant. The restaurant is located in a shopping mall-type structure and there is ample free parking. Overall, we had a very nice experience.

From the moment we sat down, the staff seemed unhappy, angry and unwelcoming. Our waiter (a young male who never even introduced himself) had a noticeably poor attitude and didn't really listen to what we were saying. One person in our group clearly stated he would cover the first round of drinks, but the waiter cut him off with "ok, ok" and didn't seem to pay attention. When the bill came, he charged the same person for both the first and second rounds. When this was pointed out, he responded with attitude and argued instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally. The food didn't make up for the service either. The pasta was dry and honestly not enjoyable--especially disappointing for a $33 dish. It lacked flavor, and the sausage was very poor quality. To top it off, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill, which felt undeserved given the level of service we received. Overall, not a place I would recommend. There are plenty of better options out there.
