Our expectations were high, but this restaurant did not deliver. On the contrary, the only thing we got was a stomach ache for me and my wife threw up after we return to the hotel. We ordered for appetizer coconut shrimp (which was bland in taste) and two coconut Mojitos (which contained too much lemonade). We chose the special --which included gumbo soup, grilled salmon (which was good) , broccoli and rice. We are not sure if it was the coconut shrimp or the gumbo soup that made us sick. We had a wonderful late lunch here, and it was well-wort our time and money! The restaurant had a nice vibe and the service was very professional. The orange chicken appetizer over rice was the perfect starter. My aperol spritz was fresh and yummy. My husband had the grilled hognose fish tacos and said that they were fabulous. I ordered the fried hognose fish tacos and just about lost my mind over how flavorful, crispy, and melt in-your-mouth they were! I ordered the fried plantains and local green beans for my signs and was so pleased. Both were done to absolute perfect perfection. My cousin had the crab legs and wouldn't stop raving about them. My son had a smashburger (because he's a teenager who doesn't yet appreciate seafood) and ate every morsel. Topping all off, the desserts made the kids extremely happy. The chocolate cake tower was rich and chocolatey, and the pineapple upside down cake was amazing. Another fabulous meal at Deep Lagoon -- my favorite restaurant in Naples. We arrived at 6 with reservations for 7, or so we thought. They did not have a reservation for us and told mother in law she likely made it at the wrong location. Nevertheless, they had us seated in 5 minutes and were kind and accommodating. Their menu is vast and it's always a hard decision on what to order. Husband and I split the beet salad -- perfection. The house margarita was good as was son's girlfriend's pear martini, which I took a sip of. I ordered the tripletail for my main dish. It was fabulous. Husband enjoyed the mahi. Good food and service. A busy atmosphere. We had dinner there on Sunday and arrived during happy hour. A $4 beer and $7 margarita was quite a bargain. I started with NE Clam Chowder. Lots of clams, it was a little saltier than what I prefer, they served some dinner rolls which came warm and were tasty. My wife had the coconut shrimp. She enjoyed them. Met my friend for dinner at Deep Lagoon on Sunday evening minutes before 6pm. We decided to sit at the bar. Karen, the bartender came up very promptly to show us the happy hour food menu and to let us know that we would need to order within the next few minutes if we wanted something off that menu. We appreciated that very much. We ordered drinks, a Cosmo and a Martini, which were on happy hour till 6:30. We both liked our drinks. Normally, I'd go on to speak about the food received (from regular menu), but as good as the food was, and it was very good, I just want to give a shout out to our bartender Karen. We loved the attention she provided to us, and her great sense of humor. And at the end of the evening she went over and above when I left my coat on the back of my chair. She came out out of the restaurant, into the parking lot, looking for me so she could return it. That took an extra effort and I truly appreciate it. I hope Deep Lagoon does as well. read more

Before I say what was not good I want to say the staff is awesome. I have been here 7 or 8 times and the staff is always top notch. But, the food not so much. It almost seems like they don't make the food to order. One time, the food came out in under 5 minutes and the texture on my fish was terrible. I love the ambiance and staff but after last Saturday I won't come back. I order fish every visit and it has never been flakey or felt fresh like other places. Maybe that is why the cover them in sauces. Even their menu.... if you look at the "pick your own" where you pick your fish and how it is going to be prepared says "items will take longer to prepare". Why would that be if everything's made to order anyway? I also found the drinks to be decent when I sit at the bar but at the table all of us agreed that there was very little alcohol in them. Anyway, too much money to be unsatisfied that many times. Again, the staff is sooooo awesome and the reason we came back to keep trying. read more

Went to this restaurant last night and went back again tonight it was so good. Last night was clams and pasta. Tonight was grouper Oscar. Both were outstanding. The menu selections were extensive, plenty of choice from steaks to an array of fish dishes. The best part of our visit was our server Asher W. He was amazing. I reviewed DL at their previous location, which was smaller and now is the site for their sister Two Fillets. We have dined at this DL location several times during the past few years. Last Sunday evening, we went out for early dinner. We had a reservation and got a booth. Ambiance pleasant, noise level medium, not bad. Kelly S was our very friendly and attentive server. We arrived early and so took advantage of Happy Hour discounts on house wine and appetizers - Crab Ragoon was scrumptious. For entrees, we had Swordfish Neapolitan and Stuffed Hogfish Platter. Both were simply delicious. This restaurant can be a bit pricey, but for the quality and quantity of fish it is worth it. read more

We tried the deep Lagoon for lunch today. There was three of us. Gentlemen meet us at the door. He was very friendly showed us to the table. We looked around and it was absolutely beautiful. We sat right under the fish tank lovely spot. One person had the grouper sandwich with two sides. He had the roasted brussels sprouts and the onion rings. There was nothing left on his plate when he was done he said it was delicious. Another member had the coconut shrimp salad. The shrimp were huge they were cooked perfectly. The salad had an orange marmalade vinaigrette with almonds. It was absolutely delicious. They cleared their plate. I tried the lobster and crab bisque with a Caesar salad. The soup was absolutely wonderful. It came with two pieces of toasted bread that was perfectly comp There was lots of lump crab and lobster meat in the soup. Absolutely delicious. We shared a Keylime pie. It was good, but we like a lot more lime tasted didn't have a real strong taste, but it was very good. The service was absolutely one of the best servers we've had in a long time. He was extremely professional. He was easy to talk to. He made recommendations. He answered our questions He told us all about the fish. He was just wonderful. Definitely a great place for lunch. I'll be bringing back company cause it's a fantastic restaurant. read more

The hostess made an extra effort to get us good seats beside the huge fish tank, and our server, Kelly, was friendly and very helpful with suggestions about our orders. Three of us had hogfish, one had mahi mahi, and all were great. The leftovers of the hogfish were even great the next day! The lobster bisque was wonderful, and the oysters rockefeller were a hit. Visited the Deep Lagoon on a family member's recommendation. We sat in the bar area and Seth was our waiter/bartender. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He knew the menu and made great recommendations. It was Happy Hour (2-5pm daily, I believe). Their Happy Hour menu includes both food and drinks. Prices are reasonable: Craft Draft (16oz) for $5, Domestic Bottled Beer for $3.50, Premium Bottled Beer for $4, Wine is $7 a glass, and Well Drinks are $5. Food specials include: Shrimp, Fish & Scallop Ceviche for $7, Spinach and Artichoke Dip for $7, Volcano Shrimp for$7, Half Order of Oyster Rockefeller for $9, Half Order of Clams or Mussels for $8, and Half Order of Crab Rangoon for $6, We ordered the Crab Rangoon on Seth's suggestion and it was wonderful. It was 4 very large rangoons on a bed of kale with spicy sauce. We licked the plate clean. For drinks, I got the craft beer and my wife got a Cosmo. Her Cosmo was filled to the top of the glass. We will definitely return to Deep Lagoon. Seth was so great, we will probably ask to be seated in the bar again if he is working. For the holidays, you can buy a $50 gift card at the restaurant and you will receive a $10 bonus card to be used later in 2023. We also saw that Costco in Naples sells a $100 of Deep Lagoon gift cards for $79.99. The Costco gift card can be used at other restaurants owned by the parent company of Deep Lagoon. I went to Deep Lagoon last year and the food and drinks were excellent, however this year I went with friends expecting the same quality but I was mistaken! I ordered the swordfish ( not the Neapolitan) with fries and broccoli . What I got was a medalion of over done meat that looked like it had been microwaved because there were no indications that it had been broiled like I wanted! There were no sear marks as one would expect from any meat that had been broiled! The fish was tasteless so the waitress offered a garlic sauce to improve it, it did not! The broccoli was also over cooked so it was not al dente as is usual! So, needless to say I was verrrry disappointed. For the price I one would expect what I had the first time I visited Not this mush! The chef must of had a bad day or was not the same one from last year! The coconut shrimp had a delicious orange marmalade that made them. It's a small 4 shrimp app. They had stone crab claws on special so I had to have them. 4 large claws pre-cracked. We arrived around 1:30 Sat, and easily seated. First time here, and we were impressed with the sparkling clean, seafood theme decor. Comfortable booths & tables. We ordered triple tale fish & chips. The fish was delicious--fresh, the coating was very light, and not greasy. French fries were very good as well as the nice serving of coleslaw.
