I wanted to do the memorial location but we were staying in Katy and didn't want to do the drive. So I arrived with low expectations and left with expectations met on it being low. Crawfish pho - sweet, no flavor, noodles overcooked and tiny non existent crawfish. They didn't offer your typical pho condiments, basil, hoisin, sriracha, chili oil. Dined in, using plastic utensils is def not a good experience. Asked for chili oil and they pointed me to the side items corner which had hot sauce, Cajun seasoning and off brand sriracha. I had to argue for sate bc they said I didn't order sate pho, well I wanted some chili in the pho. We also ordered a pound of crawfish to try and after eating fresh crawfish BBs the last 3 days, it was evident that these were frozen and/or just beyond overcooked. We left half behind. Skip this place, crawfish were average and we ordered the crab empanadas with a fish/shrimp basket and they were horrible!!! This was on an evening where no one else was ordering and it wasn't a rush. I got an order of overcooked and greasy food that was disgusting. The shrimp was tough and the fish tasted like old oil. Hey, My family and I came here during an afternoon for lunch. We ordered Crawfish 4lbs, Wings 12pc, Chicken Shrimp Fried Rice, and Beignets. The crawfish flavoring was perfect but the crawfish itself was very soft and small. The Rice, shrimp, and chicken was dry. The wings we ordered was not the wings we received. They also forgot to serve our order of beignets. The service overall was a 2/10. They already lacked a welcoming customer environment. I feel as though they did what they wanted to do with our order. Convenient place in Katy to order crawfish, especially if you want to get groceries and eat crawfish. My parents and I normally order the garlic butter crawfish w/ medium spice every time we order crawfish from here and unlike most Viet-Cajun crawfish places I've been to, they have medium spice as their lowest heat for boiled seafood. It doesn't get too spicy as long as you don't suck the heads and eat the garlic bits too much, but when we ordered about 8 lbs of crawfish, 1 of the 2 bags w/ 4 lbs in each was spicer than the other. Maybe the guy in the kitchen got confused w/ the spice level or probably added a bit more spice though. Despite the crawfish being okay, their wings are good. I mostly order 5 spice basil wings to eat along w/ the crawfish and it was like Taiwanese popcorn chicken but in wings, plus they have chicken bites where you can ask for 5 spice basil in order to make it into Taiwanese popcorn chicken too. They also individually pack some of their condiments, and took away their water refill station due to covid reasons. But they also have gloves up front where the water used to be and there's no extra cost for that and the bibs which is good. My order came with fries and I looked like I was given about 10 fries. For whatever reason, it took my food a really long time to come out. Management sucks for making 1 girl I didn't get her name run the front by herself till 8:30 pm. Who ever the pretty boy was who finally decided to come into work. Consider yourself lucky, cause your teammate held it down for you. While you were too busy looking at yourself In the mirror. Snow crab was overpriced $20 for snow crab that isn't very big in size. Flavor sucked and they don't even provide you crackers or scissors to get the little ass meat out. We were there when they started to close down. That's when we had to ask for those utensils and they provided. This is a seafood venue your customers shouldn't have to ask for the equipment to eat there food. It should be automatically provided The husband got shrimp in Cajun mild but it was basically flavorless butter. Boss got fries and Cajun medium. The fries tasted like sugar was sprinkled over them. And the Cajun medium was more of a mild I got snow crab garlic butter extra spicy. It was spicy after I was like a cluster down. But flavor wasn't amazing. I also got the crawfish in Cajun medium being that they are frozen now. It was ok. I also got the shrimp in salt toast. These babies are supposed to be DEEP FRIED and so you can eat everything. Were they? Nah so I had to peel off the skin which was soooo disappointing. As an Asian that lightly breaded shit is an insult to the dish. I also got the chicken wings in spicy lemon pepper. I came February 18 and also came February 19 to the location on South Mason rd on the first day on their website. They say they close at 9:30 as soon as I walk in at 8:30 they didn't want to serve me saying that they were shortstaffed. LAC is a small restaurant inside the Ranch 99 grocery store. They offer 3 different spices on the crawfish: garlic butter, Cajun, and Hot & Sour. You also get a choice of regular or spicy. We tried a few pounds of regular garlic butter and I ordered a separate order of garlic butter spicy. The garlic butter crawfish were good, but I really liked the spicy version. It was too much spice for my wife, though. The price for the crawfish was $6.99 a pound and we had a good mix of large and small crawfish in the batch. You can order single potatoes, corn or 4-inch link of sausage and they can be packaged in the crawfish to get some of the flavor. I enjoyed the sausage and corn. I also ordered some cheesy crawfish rolls. They were ok, but hush puppies would be better if LAC offered them. I had to wait about 15-20 minutes for the crawfish, and they were delivered in plastic bags. This means you can quickly rush hot crawfish home, if you want that option. After ordering, you are given a large, plastic tablecloth, so cleaning-up after eating the crawfish is a breeze. We will return. read more

I like the shrimp and sausage medium with all seasonings, but I like the hot and sour seasoning on the side. Sometimes they'll charge extra for getting the seasoning on side. The same seasoning that's no charge if they mix it in is $1 extra if you get it on side. They claim it's because "you get more with it being on side" as if they are not in control of how it's being rationed out into the small container. It really depends on who you get. Most of the time they don't charge extra, but today I got 1lb. of crawfish and also shrimp and sausage so $2 extra to have my hot and sour on side. I'm not petty, but just be consistent. You can't charge some days and not others or charge some people and not others. Put it in writing and be consistent as a business. So I've been craving crawfish and was on a date. We went to BB's because we were in Katy but they didn't get theirs until January 20th. I work at a year round place that's really good. However, I'm not first dating at my job. We googled LA Crawfish but I was hesitant because of the 249 location debacle (too long of a story). We went anyway and the girls at the counter were super helpful. The girls answered all of our questions about flavors and what to mix and not mix. We got garlic butter and hot and sour. The garlic butter was good, but the hot and sour was so delicious I wanted to literally bathe in it. What to say about this place... It's convenient for me when I want a quick fix because it's super close to my job. It's nice because it's BYOB but seating is very limited only because there are other dine in's inside of Ranch 99. If you're going as a group, I'd suggest getting there early or not in their prime times. There's plenty of other things on the menu including wings & crawfish pho! This is by far the worst eye of round pho I've ever had no flavor at all and the noodles not too good. The lemons are more dry than juicy and they are browned. Had to put half a bottle of hoisin sauce to get some flavor going and add some salt to it. Will not be eating this again read more

**Update** In response to the managers reply below. I called back within 7 minutes after placing my order and was told it would still be 30 minutes before the food would be ready for pick up m, so the kitchen did not make my order 3 times, so please do not use that as an excuse for the rude customer service that I received and that you, as the manager did not address in your reply to my original complaint. This was my first time ever going to LA Crawfish and the customer service was so bad I won't go back. The bad rating is strictly for the employees that were working on Saturday March 16th at 6:20pm. I had place my order over the phone not knowing that you had to wait in the line to pay. Why they don't have a separate line for to-go orders is beyond me. So I waited in line for 40 minutes!!! When I finally got to the cashier I told her that I wanted to cancel the to-go order and get fresh crawfish/shrimp. She proceeds to tell the young women at the counter and they get all annoyed that I canceled it. They proceed to give the order back to the kitchen to see if they could use it for a future order while complaining/giving attitude that I had wanted fresh crawfish and other items. Why on earth would you try to reuse crawfish that had been sitting out for a minimum of 40 minutes? On top of all that, one of the women behind the counter would kneel down and to eat her fries. It should be a rule that no eating at the counter when dealing with customers and their food. I will not be going back to this place due to the rudeness of the staff. read more

The place is new, clean, and very trendy. The customer service rep Kimberly was very nice. The wait wasnt long. The food is flavorless, nothing like boiling crab or shell shack. The legs were very small, the shrimp was thick and meaty with heads on still. I asked for Cajun and garlic butter and only got garlic butter. The meat itself is not boiled in seasoning. It taste the like the season is added in the bag after the fact. So the food is really really plain. I had to add the Cajun seasoning since it wasn't added to my bag. I was quite skeptical to eat lunch in a grocery store restaurant, but I am so glad that I took the chance. This has been my absolute go to place for boiled shrimp and crawfish. When it's not crawfish season, I always get their garlic butter boiled shrimp extra spicy with some rice and potatoes. I've tried to find restaurants closer to my home as well with the same food, but nothing is like LA crawfish at all. The garlic butter sauce is truly magical and addicting. Just came in today to get some extra spicy crawfish for my boyfriend. The delicious smell of crawfish woke him up as I walked in the door. Online it says they close at 10pm but when we get to the counter to order the lady tells us they close in 15 mins and this is at 8pm on a Friday night. We ask why they are closing so early and the lady tells us they change times based off level of business. Odd but ok. My first visit to LA Crawfish. I liked the fact that it was clean and the staff was friendly. I had the crawfish pho. The broth was weak and tasted as if it was from a packet. I ear a lot of pho (at least one or twice a week) so the broth is important. There were no dressings (cilantro, basil, sprouts)for the pho. LA Crawfish has always been a favorite of mine and luckily, another one has opened up near my parent's home! My friend and I came here on a Tuesday afternoon during spring break. Naturally, there weren't many people here except for a family or two. We went to the counter and ordered the usual: 6 pounds of a mix of cajun and garlic butter. We also got our usual condiments: hot butter and the cajun powder. I love how this place is BYOB, so while we were waiting for our order, we made our way to the beer section in 99 Ranch to grab a 6-pack. By the time we got back we had just enough time to get situated before the tray of piping hot crawfish came out. A piping hot it was. I thought the bag would melt since it was so hot. In order to cool down the crawfish, we dumped the whole bag in the foil tray that it was given in and used the bag for the shells instead. The crawfish is delicious as always, juicy, spicy, with tons of flavor. We enjoyed every bit of our meal. After our meal, there was a hand wash station with a foot pedal right near the condiment table which was the best. No dirty doorknobs or sink knobs. Genius. Overall, this place is great.
