Mr. Kuttruff is very efficient and honest. I have used his services several times and he is always timely and efficient. I'm writing this review because I had an emergency with my toilet that got clogged and had to call a different plumber. This plumber said he couldn't completely get the cup that was stuck in the toilet and that I needed to buy a new toilet for $800. I said no and then he said he had to leave after 40 minutes. This cost $250. I then called Mr. Kuttruff to come out and check everything because I was worried that the toilet would backup and he checked everything, snaked the toilet and 6ft of the drain and said it was all clear and put the correct flange on. Call Mr. Kuttruff for plumbing services, he will not try to up-sell you. I don't know how these other plumbers can sleep at night with their dishonesty and excessive charging. read more

Went to George's Plumbing this morning in my alpha male role to fix two valve stems for a bathtub that is older than John Kerry's hair. The nice guy at the counter explained that " it's pretty straight forward but these stems are "old as John Kerry's hair" which I thought was odd since that is my line. Anyway, he told me that with some spacers you "should" be able to get it done. My alpha male role immediately went to alpha beta role and I went shopping. How many of you remember Alpha Beta? Anyway, the guy at the counter gave me Doug Kuttruff's number. Knowing this was a scam I immediately called Doug. Now, Doug is not exactly a ball of fire on the phone. To say he is laid back is to call Steven Wright a ball of fire. Anyway, I explained my wussy situation and like a fireman saying "yea, I'll get the cat out of the tree" he said he'd be there about noon. Noon 0 1 comes and he arrives. What a great guy! "Got everything on the truck (does that include my dignity) and he gets to work. About 5 minutes later (I think he worked about 2 minutes longer than he need to just to save some shred of pride. A little "boy this is tricky" wouldn't have hurt, Doug). All done, clean, perfect, spent less than what I thought I was going to. And we learn our boys are the same grade at the same high school. Doug is awesome! He is fair, quick and responsible. He saved my home and he is reasonable with his prices. What more can you ask? My sink was stopped up, my faucets were not working and my shower barely had water dripping out of it. He fixed it all in one day, then he ordered parts for my shower and was back within 24 hours to fix it. I was worried because I have a high end German brand shower system, but he was familiar with it and knew exactly how to fix it! And it is working great. Oh and last month he installed my new water heater I ordered online after my old one blew up. I had three plumbers turn down installing a water heater that they did not sell me, and Doug came over and had it in the wall and working within an hour. I was in desperate need of a plumber this morning when my kitchen pipe broke, and I called several plumbers but none of them could come until the afternoon. I made an appointment for Doug to come yesterday. I have an 1890 old house and hadn't been able to use the hot water in my bathroom sink for over a year. Doug installed new faucets and valves along with related lines in about a half hour and at a very reasonable price. I am glad I read the other reviews so knew he was a little gruff over the phone. You can count on Doug to be there when the weekend projects go downhill. While doing yard work I somehow broke an old sprinkler valve that was attached to a steel pipe.
