We reached out to Bubbles on a Sunday afternoon with a fairly urgent plumbing drain issue. They responded soon, promising to send someone out on Monday morning. Shawn showed up on time and was extremely helpful: explaining what was wrong, what needed to be done, and how we'd be charged. Along the way, he found a couple of things that would improve our system. His explanations made perfect sense and added very little expense. So what we have now is not only a fixed drainage system, but a couple of substantial and relatively inexpensive improvements. Shawn was great with his explanations, recommendations, and work. Plumbing isn't cheap, but we received excellent value for what we paid. We have used Bubbles before and would certainly use them again. read more

I used Bubbles to help with 3 plumbing problems: slow bathtub drainage, replace bathtub spickets and toilet running. Scheduling service was quick and easy, plumper was pleasant and understood the issues. I had a problem with the work a week or so later & it was taken care of on same day. I think there are several opportunities for improvement: 1. A written estimate of work to be completed & an invoice after payment - I received neither of those. 2. At end of service, the tech should physically review all work completed with customer to ensure understanding of what was done - for example: Show that bathtub is now draining faster & toilet is not running rather than just saying work is done read more

Always prompt & efficient. Have been using them for several years. I have referred them to friends who also rave about their expertise.

Called them on a Saturday AM for leaking gas line issues to appliances reported by my tenant. They responded immediately and diagnosed the problem and handled repairs professionally and to the satisfaction of my tenant. They are in my Contacts now!!! read more

Best plumber I have dealt with. We had a gas issue and they were able to help us quickly. Super fair prices, honest, and reliable. The other estimate I got from another company was nearly double. Will definitely use them again! read more

I edited my review to remove my personal conclusions which I recognize is unfair to the business, but Richard, this is the correct company. I paid your team to perform the camera inspection and hydro-jetting at my home. My insurance company and a second plumber later investigated and did not find the issues that were claimed. I also never received the camera inspection footage I requested. I'm simply sharing my experience so other homeowners can make informed decisions. read more

We had 3 different plumbers and only Bubbles could identify and finally fix the problem! The owner was very nice and honest and we would highly recommend them! read more

* 1st visit never told us they were coming. * 2nd visit again didn't tell us they were coming, and when I arrived home, our hot water heater was removed from the back of our rental unit and I needed to shower and leave the house. So I had no running water and no hot water heater for three hours. * Our water pressure was messed up all over our rental unit from them not communicating turning the water back on and I called them and they said it had nothing to do with their visit. * 3rd visit no show, no call. * I sent a text message and I got a phone call. They said sorry we had an emergency. We couldn't come ,no problem these things happen, could they come the next day? Sure, could they text me in the morning to let me know what time? Yes they will call me in the morning. 11 AM the next day and no call or text with the time to come. * Then the owner called me and I started to explain to him what had happened the day before and he told me to 'STOP Talking'. * I grew up in Chicago around vendors. I have worked in property management the last four years, and these guys are the pits. Non communicative and now verbally aggressive towards a woman. read more

had a complex hot water issue that could have been a major issue without the swift intervention by the Bubbles Team! Thank you again for coming to the rescue at our home in Altadena read more

Quick to reply. Quick to fix. Communicates well and stays on quote. Richard and his team are great

always so reliable. my go-to over many years. projects large and small...they always come through. they also entertain all my "dumb questions" and don't mansplain me (always a big plus!) read more

One guy from Bubbles was solid, for a small job. The next guy was clueless and charged for a visit even though he didn't know how, or didn't have the tools ... to remove a set screw. How can you charge for incomplete work due to ignorance? I found a different company who was solid. I will not look fondly on the Bubbles-branded van the next time I see it parked outside a neighbor's house. ‍ read more

We had a great experience with Bubbles Plumbing. Richard was highly recommended by our neighbors in Altadena. He got back to us promptly and stopped by our place to discuss the work at the time we arranged. He was very quick in figuring out what needed to be done and was not interested in adding any unnecessary work to the project. His crew showed up on time and were respectful of our property. They did a great job and were responsive to our input. I would definitely recommend Richard and his team. read more

We highly recommend Bubbles Plumbing. Richard and his team have been there for us countless times. Our house has had many plumbing issues from the first month we moved in but they've been there to help us through it. Richard and his team are knowledgeable, friendly and honest. read more

We have been using their services intermittently for many years, based on other reviews. The work has been average at best, and we have twice had to call them back out after a job to fix something that was not fully repaired in the first place. As a bonus bummer, we discovered recently that the repair person had wiped his hands, covered in black oil, on our new white shower curtain--!! Their customer service has gone WAY downhill, and our last attempt to schedule something was a huge headache. In a city of 9 million people with so many talented businesses, there is no reason to struggle with these people. Go elsewhere! read more

Note: This review is solely for the quote I received over the phone since I was thoroughly impressed with my interaction with Richard. Unfortunately they weren't available the same day so I went with someone else who was. My water pressure regulator / main sprung two leaks but that wasn't the only problem. Sent Richard a video and he was able to tell me in detail and with accuracy (confirmed by the plumbers that came out) what I needed fixed and also gave me an estimate. I told him I wanted to get at least a second opinion and he was gracious about it. Didn't try to pressure me or anything and made sure I had all the information I needed. Thank you, Richard! I appreciated your help today. You guys will be my first call if I ever run into plumbing issues again. read more

Always responsive. They get the work done quickly and efficiently. Have used for both plumbing and electrical. Great service

Our kitchen sink backed up this morning. After reading plumber recommendations on Next Door, I found a number of people recommended Bubbles. I was able to get a same day appointment for the afternoon. When Ian arrived he was friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. I was happy with the service and thought that the job was priced fairly. if needed, I would use this company again. read more

Richard and his crew did a wonderful job bringing my living room fireplace to life. The previous owner added a new firebox, but didn't plumb a gas line. Richard was responsive, he and his crew were kind and courteous, did a great job. They patched and painted and cleaned up at the end of the day. I am so glad I did this, love the working fireplace! read more

This crew does great work. Actually overdue posting this from 2 yrs ago but had great experience after moving into my home/ duplex with a punch list of projects--- adding a new clean out that enabled easier access, closer to house and junction to city sewer, adding tankless water heaters, adding water lines for ice makers just to name a few. read more

if you want to hire an unprofessional abusive person to do your plumbing Hire Dick, he will fulfill all those criteria and more. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional person/ company in my entire 55 years. the only saving grace this OWNER has is a competent and professional staff working under him, They fixed every problem that he created. Much to his chagrin. He is unhelpful mean angry and incredibly rude They finally came out and worked on correcting the simple issues that should not have been issues in the first place. And yes the issue was an easy fix - but getting the guy to fix it was no easy task - which is so important when you're dealing w people, if you paid them and it was guaranteed it should be easy - in my experience- it wasn't - not in the least bit My simple argument You plumbed the house , it's your work and it didn't last a month - you should fix it - anyone with integrity would do so. I think 100 % of people would agree with that statement It's that simple - integrity - honoring your work and bringing your A game to fix the issues you caused. That shouldn't be an issue. Dick made it an issue. That's what Dick likes to do The owner of this place is unprofessional- abusive - and incredibly rude. I would not rehire this person if he offered to replumb my entire house free of charge. That is how bad ( in my opinion ) he is. I truly hate dogging a california business, its hard enough in this state but its harder still when the issues caused by the company you hired are neglected and put on you when all along they were the very people/ persons that caused the issues and they refuse to fix the issues. read more

Responsive, Punctual, Efficient, Effective, and Kind, to boot! The team at Bubbles Plumbing has been servicing various issues at my home for years. They are always so responsive and fast! This year, we had to do a whole-house re-pipe and I appreciated Richard's nudging me to consider alternatives, thorough advice, and options. He explained the process very clearly, and made sure we understood all that it would entail. It was a large, intrusive job, but they worked efficiently and we are happy we did it. read more

Richard and his team handled the replacement of our shower pan (NOT a small project) in the new house we purchased. He estimated fairly and communicated with me throughout the process about expectations, pros and cons, and options we had to save ourselves repeat work in the future. His team worked quickly and did perfect work. I've already had to text for a couple of unrelated issues we found in the new house, and every time Richard is on it right away. We will use Bubbles for 100% of plumbing issues or renovations we have in the future, and are so grateful to have found them! Professional, quick, responsive, and local. read more

My thanks to Richard, Ian and crew for helping to fix our crawlspace leak. Everyone involved was friendly and professional while expediting our repair. They were on time (even a little early which is great when you've turned off your water!), finished the work in less than 90 minutes and explained why the leak occurred. I initially had called another provider who is very well reviewed on Yelp and received a bid for 300% of the cost paid to Bubbles. Glad I did some homework first, talked to Richard and worked with Bubbles. They've earned my future business. read more

If there's one thing I can't stand for service professionals, it's when the quotes change for no legitimate reason. We recently bought a new condo and called Bubbles due to recommendations in a local moms group. We gave a list of all the (minor) repairs and installations we wanted done and got a quote of $600. Richard said there was nominal cost for the shower fixtures we needed and the cost was primarily labor. They showed up early today to get the work done. The person who showed up (whose name I unfortunately didn't get) looked at the dishwasher to be installed and claimed it was a lot more work than he'd anticipate. He called Richard and then suddenly, the quote was $1000. When we asked how much to do just the shower repair (change the shower faucet fixture, cartridges, and flow diverter), it was $425. That lets me know the quote was inaccurate to start because that only leaves $175 to install the drain, garbage disposal, and dishwasher under the original quote. Due to what I felt was unethical behavior, we let them go and will look for another plumber. read more

I've been working on a DYI project below my kitchen sink but needed professional help to remove a rusted out drain nipple. Called Bubbles at 9:30am today and they were here by the afternoon. Rik took care of the issue in about 30 minutes. Great service, responsive, and they charged exactly what they quoted on the phone. I hope I don't need to call a plumber again anytime soon but I'd use these guys if the need arises. read more

Richard is honest, fair, helpful, and conducts his business with integrity. We spoke with him over an issue that other plumbers would've taken advantage of us for, but Richard talked us through the simple fix for our shower head and helped us resolve it ourselves in 5 minutes. When we thanked him for it, he said "Of course, it's not all about money, it's about the community." Total stand up guy. Let's just say that he has earned all our plumbing business going forward.
