I'm not too sure if a lot of these reviews are real. We needed a complete electric rewire of an older home we just bought so we had multiple electric companies come by to do an inspection and to give us a quote. The technician who came by was pleasant, but when he heard we wanted a complete rewire, he did not even inspect the property or the amp panel. He just ballparked us a random number that made absolutely no sense. It was when I asked him to do an inspection to review the scope of work that he half heartedly opened a few outlets and said "ok, we're just going to replace them." In the end he gave me a quote verbally and never even sent me an actual quote that was promised. I would be extremely careful working with this company or choosing them for any high level electric work. If you review them on BBB or the California licensing board, you'll see that the owner is C-10 licensed but his workers are contractors who are working under his license. In comparing them to other electric companies in SGV in which the workers are licensed, this company uses just random contractors so the quality of your work varies. read more

JR and his crew went above and beyond to help us! An outlet started Sparking and we called him after 7pm, the call was answered kindly and an appointment set for the next morning. We got a quote and a partial fix the same day, enough to keep us safe. A crew of 3 arrived the next morning ( on a Saturday!) To get us all fixed up. We had a major repair and it took most of the day. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Repairs and cleanup were so great, they made things look so nice and professional, even throwing in a new switch plate where a metal one could have caused us to shock ourselves, totally unrelated to the repair. Jesse is incredible. We had an issue with newly installed electric outlets & he came & fixed the work of another electrician easily & for a reasonable price. (I wish I would have used him for our panel upgrade & rewiring initially.) Most recently, had an issue with intermittent power & thought it was related to the old wiring still in our home. (Two electrical companies were scheduled to come by & give us a quote, after charging an initial fee.) One call to Ready Electric & Jesse suggested (with having LESS info than the other two electricians) to call PG&E, THEN call him back to schedule an appointment if that didn't work. (Even though PG&G's website reported no outages & our neighbors had no issues.). So glad we called PG&E. PG&E came out, fiddled with the electrical wire on the pole & electrical came back to normal. We were having issues with the old electrical wiring in the front part of our house since it was quite old and never updated. We started to hear popping sounds in the outlets and immediately called Ready Electric after finding good feedback about them. Well, they did not disappoint and were able to come to our house within 24 hours after making the initial call for help. Aaron and Mike were consummate professionals and worked quickly yet with precision. They filed the permit for us to obtain a new electrical panel/circuit breaker for the rewiring that they did for the front part of the house. Quick and honest inspection. Gave me five proposals for repairing my circuit breaker panel. I picked the 3rd options which involved restoring the circuit bus plate and replacing all the breakers. Pretty good price, JR and Mike did excellent work with restoring the panel and replacing all the breakers (the old ones were partially burnt). I live in Costa Mesa, for 9 years, and had an electric problem with the outlets in my condominium. I made a second call to Ready Electric and they were more than happy to evaluate the problem I had; today for starters. The first call was to another electrician who wanted photos of the problem I had, and there was a problem with the photos and I had to start again: I didn't get to talk to a person. Fast forward to Ready Electrician - in the kitchen there were 2 outlets next to each other and they connected to an unusual array of wiring that didn't may sense and RJ could see the problem and fixed on the spot. There were 4 outlets and I had fixed one 2-3 years ago and RJ spotted a wiring problem that was easy to fix; and there were 3 other outlets that he presumably (the outlets were covered by the plastic "sheath" in vitro.) While I was out of town, I had a tenant overloading the kitchen outlets and tripping the circuit breakers. I called Jesse at 7am to diagnose the problem. JR came out to the property on-time to give an estimate. He gave me a few options to consider. I chose the most expensive option so that I could tenant-proof the house. He made 2 dedicated circuits, replaced 4 GFCIs, and replaced the sensitive circuit breakers to standard type ones on the panel. I was able to pay over the phone and he sent me pictures of the panel when he was done. By Friday afternoon, all of the work was completed. I am in the property management business, and I cannot believe there is still someone this honest and professional in this day and age. When I called to schedule our appointment for my own house, I was advised of other possible and money-saving alternatives before his arrival. After we had insisted on an appointment with him, we called to change our scheduled appointment to a day later. He was very courteous on the phone and accommodated it. The night before our appointment, our son caught a fever and started to whine through the night. We turned the white noise up to help and thus ended up sleeping over JR's arrival, missing out appointment. I reached out to JR to offer to pay for his inconvenience and trouble, he insisted it was ok and that it happens to the best of people. He declined to collect from me.
