This review is long overdue. My husband and I bought our house in 2022 and the first things we wanted to do was install our car charger and have someone look at our old electric to figure out if we needed to prioritize upgrades. Primo was the third company we reached out to for estimates and we chose them off of good vibes and competitive prices. I'm grateful for it. These guys are solid, honest people and won't recommend things you don't need. In fact, if you have a wild idea for something that is unnecessary or costly, they'll tell you up front so you know in advance. In addition to doing things the right way, they're respectful. I've chatted with a few companies about various house projects and David and Jesse treated me (a woman) like my input matters just as much as my husband's. It signals competence, excellence, and professionalism when, even though I say "my husband is the boss," a contractor checks with me just in case. And, it prevents arguments down the road. We've rehired Primo for light fixture swaps, outlet adds, new switch fixtures, and we plan to hire them for our upcoming upgrades because they're all around good people who do good work. I would definitely recommend Primo Electric. We hired them for a panel upgrade and a full rewire of the house. David provided fast correspondence, and Jesse and his crew were stellar. They came in every morning and gave me a game plan for the day so I could still work in the house with power. They're friendly, courteous, and tidy up everyday as much as possible so you're not in a construction zone at night. A big bonus is that they do a rough patch up on the holes they need to make in the walls. You'd think all companies would do that, but we got several quotes that specifically said they didn't patch their holes, leaving you to do it or find and hire someone at an extra cost. A full rewire requires a lot of holes, so this saved me so much time and stress. Jesse went the extra mile to make sure we got everything how we wanted it. Thanks to David at Primo Electric first for getting right back to me, and second for sending Gabe over so quickly to install a porch light fixture. I was originally going to try and install the fixture myself but there was a potential issue with the inside wall switch not turning the power to the porch light on or off. I decided to leave it to the experts and I'm glad I did. Gabe showed up on time within the one-hour window promised. He got right to work diagnosing the switch issue (which included having him go up into the attic crawlspace.) Whatever work was done years ago affecting the existing wall switch and the porch light was causing things to be less than simple or straightforward. Gabe had a couple of solutions (I always appreciate multiple options) and we went with the more direct and simpler fix. He had to go to the local Home Depot to get a photo cell for the new light fixture, returned quickly, and shortly thereafter the job was done. And done right. Now, the pizza delivery person can see our porch and house number rather than wander around across the street looking for us. So glad I decided to get professional, expert service rather than attempt to install myself. I contacted Primo Electric based on other Yelp reviews, and because it was a local company.
