The first work item Peter helped me with was to separate ground and neutral wires in my detached garage sub-panel. He worked with limited space (small sub-panel) and some neutral wire length constraints. Rather than try to upsell another, more costly solution, he was able to work with what I had to produce a high quality result at a very competitive price. The second work item I had Peter help me with was installing a 40 amp 2 pole breaker and an accompanying NEMA 14-50 receptacle for EV charging. He did a fast, clean and high quality job. Everything works perfectly! Before coming, Peter and I corresponded a lot through phone and text. He asked me great questions about my specific use case and tailored a solution to my use case. I appreciated how thoughtful and thorough he was in explaining everything he wanted and needed to do. He kept exactly to what we discussed and didn't try to upsell/do any necessary work. This was a very honest and pleasant experience. Price wise, he was the most competitive by far (probably because he was the most honest about what he would do). I contacted 4 other electricians and they all quoted $300-1500 above Peter's quote. They also tried to do a lot of unnecessary, expensive work. We had an unexpected electrical issue with two rooms in the house not getting power to the lighting fixtures. One was the bathroom so there was some urgency. Peter walked us through some initial troubleshooting in the hopes it was something simple (so he would not have to charge us) but nothing for it, he wound up coming out within hours of our first call. A remote controlled ceiling fan in our home was turning on/off on it's own so i contacted him through yelp. Gave me an estimate of $80. I couldnt be there when he came to do the work. Came...said he couldnt fix it (even though i told him EXACTLY the problem & even sent pictures) and charged my elderly parents $60 just because he came out. I have no clue how he has this high a rating but anyone who takes advantage of people doesn't deserve it. EDIT: since this gentleman decided to be dishonest once again, here is a screenshot showing that i clearly said we dont have the proper ladder. He said in his response that i said i have a ladder and then later EDITED IT! He also said in his response (which he will edit again!) he estimated $60 when he estimated &80!!! It was also NOT to replace a remote. Who in their right mind would pay for that?? We already had the new remote, something was wrong with the fan ITSELF which we had the part for. He just had to replace it!! I didnt ask for a refund & i dont want one, i simply did an honest review and apparently that's not allowed.
