2024 A 3 Star Review I had Yireh Electric come to my house to replace some florescent light fixtures and replace some bathroom GIF outlets. What I find annoying is that he whistles while he works in a tone that says boy this job is hard or this job sucks. I told him that I bought the GIF outlets from Amazon for $19 and yet he charged me $75 to replace an additional one. I never left a review for him. I'm posting a review for Yireh Electric now. I sent him to my rental to fix a popping breaker. He called and said I needed to rewire my whole house because the wiring is too old. He wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee for diagnosing my house as too old. He gave no diagnostic information whatsoever about the actual circuit that was popping. While there my tenant told him a bathroom light was also out, so he removed it from the ceiling without turning off the light switch, causing some sparking noise, so he said he was afraid to put it back up until he rewires the whole house. I had to go over there myself and reinstall the light, which just had A Freakin Burnt Out Light Bulb! I also swapped out the popping breaker with a new one and both issues were solved and have been fine ever since. I waited a while to make sure no more trouble reoccurred before leaving this review. The job was not straightforward, as the existing conduits had deteriorated and the old wiring was no longer functional. We recently had issues with kitchen outlets as many of them had no power. We need an Electrician to help diagnose the issues as I am not experienced enough to handle it on our own. We searched for an Electrician from Yelp and Orlando called back within a few minutes. After speaking with him and agreed with the rate to do the diagnosis (His rate is even more competitive compared to others). Orlando came down on the following day (Saturday). He inspected all switches and outlets and was able to identify the problem very quickly. The circuits at my home are outdated, many switches and outlets are tied to the same circuit and cannot handled with all the kitchen appliances we have. The GFI's were the root cause that shut off the power to the outlets and one was not working properly. He also recommended replacing all outlets and switches in the kitchen as the wires were not properly connected. The pricing we got from Orlando was very reasonable so I decided to proceed with his recommendations. Besides replacing outlets and switches, we also hired him to install the ceiling fan which we had sitting in the garage for years in the dining room area. I also had the opportunity to meet his family as they came down to help with the work. They were able to finish the jobs in less than 4 hours. Overall, Orlando and his family are very professional. They attended to every detail to make sure everything was installed properly and most important is the safety. They also clean up the area after and make sure the area is clean before they leave. Yireh electric was simply amazing. I was what they called a DIYer taking on a dry wall project. Before I started skimming the walls, I had to take out the electrical outlets and made sure the electrical boxes were all taped up. However this causes some outlets in the other room to stopped working. I started troubleshooting what the problem was and it turned out one of the electrical outlets was connected to the ones in the other room. So I switched out the old outlet with a new GFCI and the light switch started tripping out the GFCI. This is when Yireh electric came in and saved the day. I gave him a call and he was like why don't we just FaceTime. So we did exactly that and he was able to help me SOLELY through FaceTime to get the light switch to work again. He's very knowledgeable in the electrical field and I would definitely call him back if another issue comes up in the future. read more

I am writing of my experience so far with Yireh Electric, because as a potential customer, I would have liked to be alerted to 2 things. I asked Orlando for an itemized firm price to upgrade my 1949 circuit box to 200 amp. AFTER SEVERAL DAYS, he came, and also suggested re-wiring the entire house, going from room-to-room to inspect and make suggestions. So then I requested 2 itemized bids, one for the box upgrade and one for the house. More than a week later, I'm still waiting for the itemized bid I requested, with one communication from him a few days ago "I haven't forgotten about you." I am ready to get my project going, but would advise potential customers that: (1) It could take several days before you see him to inspect your project, and (2) Over a week to get an itemized bid. All other professionals I've hired here were able to schedule their inspections within a day and handed me their itemized bids before leaving. "Itemized" is important to compare what each pro promises to do for your job. If these 2 elements of Yireh's business were as professional as his work, I would consider altering this review. LATER TODAY: I received his itemized price after sharing this review with potential customers, and it is 10% more than the verbal quote he gave me before leaving. I consider this "Alert #3" to potential customers. I feel it is important that a pro remember his exact verbal quote (like writing it down) before increasing it by 10% it on paper. read more
