I just had a very frustrating experience. I couldn't find Liquid Smoke, something that I use when I bar-b-que, (what I plan to cook Christmas day). Anyway, I finally found an employee, Lauren, and asked for help. She told me which aisle I would find it, (where I previously looked, but didn't see it). Then she said, "Oh, I'll just show you." Of course, I was pleased with that. But, on the way, another customer asked her where she could find fried onions. Lauren told her which aisle, then turned to me and said, "I'm going to show her then I'll come back and help you." What?!!! Before I could say anything, Lauren took off with the other customer. I went back to the aisle with the bar bar-b-que sauces and looked again for the Liquid Smoke. I still didn't see what I was looking for. By that time, Lauren came to where I was standing. I told her that what she did was very rude, unprofessional, and not good customer service. She asked if I still wanted her help and I said, "No." Some of their employees need jobs in other industries, and not in customer service. Ugh read more

Well, either they read my last review or luck stepped in but they've updated the entire store. It is beautiful and with them moving things around like they did, it adds the drama of trying to find the stuff I normally buy and discovering new stuff I didn't know they had! Awesome!!! They've also (seemingly) replaced all the old jalopy's for handicappers with new ones that run! AWESOME AGAIN!!! But little things are still there. High beer prices. And I swear, I buy the oldest expiration date I can find for milk and the stuff still seems to go bad too fast. Attitudes are better too. I haven't really had anything to do with the meat guys yet (they were needing a kick in the pants) so, hopefully, that's fixed as well. read more

My experience in this store has been poor. The employees are in the way of customers in the aisles and checking out is a nightmare. When I checked myself out, I waited for a very long time for an employee to come because it takes an employee to validate a coupon. When I went to a different Kroger, I also was refused use of a coupon Kroger sent me. I go elsewhere these days. read more

Nice, clean store. Staff is nice enough...floral lady was helpful in finding items in store (other than flowers). Self checkout was easily used and cashier (young guy) was super nice even with my stack of coupons...sometimes people aren't so nice about it like all couponers are trying to scam them (thanks a lot Extreme Coupons TVs shows...grrr). We have lived in Plano 1.5 miles from this store since 2014. At first, it was a great store. Everyone was very friendly, and we could always find what we wanted or needed. However, in the past year or so, the store has turned drastically. With the onset of COVID, we began using grocery pickup a lot more frequently and this is where the majority of issues began. Much too frequently, we are only getting half of the items we order and the rest are showing "Out of Stock". As an example, most recently we ordered three different types of lunch meat and two different cheeses from the deli. ALL were out of stock! Not like we're ordering odd types....ham, turkey, salami, swiss, and provolone. Same order, we ordered coffee filters...."Out of Stock". Coffee creamer..."Out of Stock". Ballpark hotdogs..."Out of Stock". Seems to me this would be a great place to open a grocery store if they could find someone that knew how to replace items. Needless to say, after nearly 7 years, I won't be going back here. There is a Walmart grocery just across the street, and a Tom Thumb a mile down the road. Perhaps they do a better job of stocking. The store is older and doesn't have as many items. Even before Covid they were out of stock on so many items for online ordering. During Covid out of about 40 items for meals, we received beer, wine, crackers and cheese bread after waiting a week for the online slot and going 1. At the scheduled time (no call that it was delayed) 2. Two hours later when it was suggested to come and 3. The next day to pick up the order. No meat, no substitutions, nothing that would make a meal from the order. But hey, we received beer, wine and crackers! The employees are friendly, it is a quick place to shop when going IN the store. Their online ordering just really has been very sub par for the past year and a half but during Covid I'm writing the review because if anyone is dependent on online ordering please do not use this store. If someone cannot go into the store for physical or medical limitations, they cannot depend on using their online service to eat. read more

My favorite neighborhood grocery store. They do a pretty good job with keeping the shelves full and maintaining their produce department. I also like how they have a mini sushi bar with someone there during certain hours. read more

While I've always been happy with my experiences at this location; recent incidents have me wondering if I was merely not paying enough attention. This store has a great beer and wine selection and a deli and bakery to rival any nearby food store save for Market Street. However this morning I stopped in to get meats for breakfast, and because I was in a hurry, I didn't bother to check the date on the packaging. Obviously I wasn't impressed when I get home to find that the meat is not only lacking a freshness date (always there), it's got mold. When I go back to point this out to management, Crys was very helpful and sincerely apologetic which I appreciate wholly. She offered me not only a refund, but a replacement as well. Unfortunately when I went back to get another package I realized I didn't just happen to pick an unlucky one. They were ALL that way. Normally, I would let this go and chalk it up to one person not paying attention but once I realized the juice I had bought at this location a few days ago was also expired (by TWO MONTHS) I made my decision. I will not be back. That is negligence that could result in someone becoming seriously ill. Please check your stock. read more

I've been going to this Kroger for years and never had an issues. I left stuff after paid in the self-checking station numerous times and I got it back every each time! Thanks to the responsible and friendly staff working there. I did agree with a previous viewer that this Kroger has re-organized their store and it did cause problems for finding things where we used to find. But I guess we could get used to the new shelf locations as time goes by. read more

The company itself is great but this location is terrible. If you look behind the meat/produce the shelves are dirty. I've found meat juices running out of the containers. They are consistently out of stock. If you ask one of the staff for help to find a product, they will just tell you it is out of stock instead of helping you. Make sure you inspect your produce because most of the time it's rotten. Check expiration dates I've bought food multiple times with it being expired. This location is not what a Kroger should be. I once asked the lady in the cheese section where I could find grated Romano cheese and she just stated "I don't know." I continue with many examples like this. I've used click list multiple times. They are out of stock so often that ten items off my click list are not there. I wish a central market moved into this neighborhood because I never go back to this Kroger. I do not recommend this Kroger location. Go somewhere else. read more

The customer service at this store is terrible. After waiting in line to be checked out by one of two cashiers, I then bagged my own groceries while employees stood around talking. There was no manager in site. Now I don't mind helping to bag so I get out of the store sooner--but expected some customer service. When i complained and asked for assistance as i was not in a self-serve line--i did not receive any assistance. I do not usually write reviews--but as I have seen customer service steadily decline at this store-I am speaking out. I will be driving further to other grocery store chains and spend my money there in the future. Kroeger has lost a loyal customer. read more

This review is based solely on Click List. I have used them twice now to come and grab groceries. I love it. It is so convenient for me and they are super friendly. I have ordered a variety of meat, seafood, produce and shelf stable items. Everything was fresh and had good expiration dates. I was honestly afraid of that with using Click list that they would give me items close to expiring. I would recommend them in a heart beat. read more

This is my favorite grocery store. Fresh produce, good organic section, nice front end staff. Deli has a good selection but don't waste your time with the pre order kiosk as they don't pay any attention to your order you still have to wait in line. Gas points are a nice bonus and are used to their fullest potential at my house. Bakery staff could use lesson on how to interact with customers as they never speak. However low prices and great products keep me coming back. read more

I go to this store every week for groceries. It's clean, well stocked, and reasonably priced. The produce especially always looks very clean and fresh. We always go after 9 pm, so it isn't very busy, and the night shift staff is always friendly and very helpful. read more

We began shopping at this Kroger when our usual Kroger at Park and Preston closed. (We were so sad ours closed!) We were initially impressed because this store has much more inventory, including a sushi bar. These benefits, though, are far outweighed by the negatives. This store is SEVERELY overcrowded. We have tried going different days of the week or evenings to avoid the weekend rush--it doesn't matter. Shopping here is a completely miserable experience. I can't stress enough how much I hate shopping here. I wish our old Kroger wouldn't have closed or there was a different location close by we could try, because this is a complete beating on a weekly basis. read more

I am done with this location! The past 3 times I've gone shopping, I try to get there between 1-3 to beat the after work crowd, there is always a long line and management on their walkie talkies calling for extra staff to come up instead of jumping up to the register to help out. This last time I went I was behind someone who purchased over $400 and there was only one bagger ( after the other lanes died down the other employees split quickly instead of offering to help. The lady ended up with 2 carts full so the bagger helped her out to her car, which left me to bag my own groceries. The management needs to have a little more training about when to step up ( and do it with a good attitude!) read more

I used the Click List feature where you can order groceries online and pick them up. It was a pretty seamless process where you can get the things you need without spending more than five minutes at the store. SO WORTH IT. This is not my "home" Kroger, but it's the closest one to me that offers this service. The long of the short is, it's easy, convenient, and I will definitely be back again! read more

Tonight I was carded at Kroger self check out. Now I am over 70 and have not been carded there since they opened. It wasn't the carding that pissed me off but the cocky attitude of the young clerk and snide comments like " I don't know who you are". What did knowing me have to do with it..so I went ballistic. All I needed were some frozen blueberries and some bacon. I asked 4 employees for help. They just kept a'walkin' on by; staring into never-never land. With the periodic "Woo-Hoo" announcements over the intercom and the repeated blank stares, I began to suspect something had been slipped into the employee water supply. On previous visits to this store, I reported suspicious activity in the parking lot and suggested contacting Plano PD. Store response: " Oh, by the time the cops get here, well, ya know..." No Kroger employees I don't know. I do know that when I have to come back here, I'll call the cops myself to report the speeding, and unnerving lurking of some pedestrians around car windows. There's plenty of selection of products here; when you have time to look for your stuff alone. Other customers are more helpful than the staff. It just makes me sad to see the employees so down...or.... In the meantime I eagerly await for the triumphant entrance of Trader Joe's to the DFW area. read more

This store is always out of items. My biggest complaint is that when I sent a complaint/question regarding what I was charged for an item, I didn't get an answer, was just told to contact the store. No one in the store ever seems eager to help when you're in there- I actually had one of the ladies in the cheese department turn away when I tried to get her attention. Kroger is a great grocery store offering a generic store brand, name brands along with an organic selection. This store is one if my preferred Krogers to go to. They also have a gas station located in front of the store. They do have a rewards card that helps save money on has. Kroger has is a little higher priced along with their prices, but overall, it's a great store. read more

Newly remodeled with wider aisles! Good prices too. Freshly made sushi and new cheese area are great additions.

This review is for their ClickList service, which we used for the first time today. Placed our big holiday grocery order online at home, then drove up at our designated pick up time, called the number on the sign, and within a minute there were 2 nice guys headed out to our car with our stuff. They loaded everything into the trunk, explained all replacements/missing items, and took my payment, all while I sat in my toasty car. No fighting the madness of midday shoppers, no spending an hour in the store picking up everything I need. The best part? The service was FREE. I believe once you hit $40 (? I think), the service fee is waived. Tipping is not required but we did tip for the great service and they were very grateful. All the produce that I ordered was what I would have picked up for myself (bell peppers looked great, bagged items were not expiring soon, etc). The only item I got that I was not satisfied with was an onion that looked like it had seen better days and was gouged. Other than that, this is a really great service that I plan on taking advantage of regularly. read more

Have been over charged every time I have shopped here. I always have to correct the problem after paying by going to the customer service desk. The problem is with the cashiers; sometimes they ring up something twice, don't see the sale sticker, or don't get everything off the conveyor belt and into the sacking area. They seem to be off in another world. Kroger's, if you are reading this, please work on training your cashiers! I can't afford their mistakes. read more

I have been going to this Kroger, because it's close to the house. Love the fuel points. All of the other Kroger stores are clean, well stocked friendly employees. This store, the employees are clueless, and I finally figured out why.....ITS THE INCOMPETENT MANAGERS...last week went in and the shelves looked like they were looted. I asked a manager if the had a product....his response... " if it here we have it. We are really busy. " just now, I went there to look for a brand of toothpaste. I couldn't find it....3 employees would have helped, but the didn't know what Listerine Toothpaste was...I bought it here last week. The rotisserie chicken was empty...I asked for a manager...he called the register and asked the clerk" is this urgent? What does he want? Please train your managers on customer service response . It's been going on a while now. No interpersonal skills by managers translates to uneducated, uncaring useless staff. Trained by managers who shouldn't be managers, let alone Kroger managers. One of the better grocery stores around. They usually have plenty of stock for weekly sale items that many other Kroger stores fail to have. Friendly and helpful staff. I can't give them a horrible rating because some of the employees are really friendly here and there's a lot I like about the store. That said I always feel like you have to be extra special at this store regarding freshness and food safety. Do NOT assume that simply because they have something out on the shelves, in the frozen foods area or in the refrigerated section that it is safe to eat. I've experienced buying canned goods there only to check the expiration dates before opening and finding them to be a year PAST expired. Normally on canned foods most stores will have stuff that won't even expire til the next year, or at least not selling stuff that already expired 12 months earlier.. this has only happened a couple of times but keep your eyes open (I always check now before putting in my cart when I shop at this store). Also I'm pretty sure they either A) don't keep their freezers cold enough or B) have a bad habit of restocking fully thawed frozen items when really they should be discarded. I bought a boxed "frozen" pizza here this week and I just kinda tossed it in the cart, and went through checkout then directly home (I always pick up my frozen stuff last and go straight home to get it in the freezer, kinda anal I know) the Kroger's is right across the street from my neighborhood so it's literally a 3 minute drive tops. I noticed after getting home the box had already lost its 'coldness', I opened it up and the pizza looked like it'd been sitting in a refrigerator for several hours, nowhere close to fully frozen. I'm starting to wonder if this is why Kroger's seems to have such an issue with frantic recalls. I know they also had an issue in the deli department a couple of months ago (was probably around May of 2012) I walked in one day and all of the meat in the glass cases was emptied out and there was plastic wrap over all of the floor items in the deli to prevent anyone from buying the cheeses, etc.. A couple of days later the deli section was back to operating normally but it kinda makes you wonder what's going on? There also seem to be way too many employees in the deli section, there's a large group of people for what seems such a small section (I'd think 3-4 people tops could run the deli) most of them just standing around or goofing off every time I go in there, they're often in the way when you're trying to look at and buy stuff. And yet the checkout lanes seem dreadfully understaffed. I'm thinking there's some management issues at this store. read more

I don't have a particular issue with this store since my issue is chain wide and this just happened to be the location I last went to. Kroger runs these adds where you have to buy "five" to get the ad price and sometime the "five" may be different number. We always try to segregate the groceries in the basket so that we will have the exact number to get the ad price. Today we bought what we thought was 15 such items, thus we would get $5 discount on each of the five items times three or $15. I miscounted and only got 14, so I went back to the front desk and the young man said no problem he would make an adjustment, just go back and get the 15th item and he would refund my over charge. The item was $1.69. He gave me the refund of five dollars less $2.69. Once again I was too trusting as I thanked him and put the overcharge into my pocket. After getting home I refigured the 15 items and I was charged exactly $1.00 more than the ad price. Would cost me too much in gas so I just dropped the matter. I always get "screwed" no matter how hard I try to comply with those most confusing ads. KROGER--you need a better system when it comes to advertising weekly specials. read more
