This location is pretty good. They were only out of 2-3 out of the 20-25 items I had on my list. MUCH better than the Garland/NW Hwy location (by my old house) that was either out of most items or just didn't carry them at all. Store is clean and well organized. Im local to this Aldi and been several times. There's always this employee, unsure of their pronouns but always seems to be in a mood. Never had an experience with them until today. This employee clapped directly into my ear loud asf due to me having my headphones on, a simple tap on my shoulder or a wave would've been appreciated for me to move over. I was so startled I didn't know what to do. I was just shocked by the interaction. Everyone else who work here is super sweet and helpful and never had any issues but this was rude and unprofessional. The produce and store it self is great sometimes homeless people in front of the store. They don't bother anyone just wish this person gets talked to about their attitude towards others. I understand retail isn't an easy job but this wasn't the response or action I expected from anyone. read more

Your typical Aldi. Their inventory fluctuates but you can get good prices and organic options. Sometimes service is slow due to only one or two lanes open. Occasionally there is people experiencing homelessness outside in need. I encourage people to help them but to some it's seemed as a safety concern. Overall I give 5 stars. Not my regular Aldi I shop, kinda off the beaten path. Upon entering I noticed this store is alot cleaner and better organized than the last time I was in here, almost a year ago. I had been to 4 total Aldi stores in this one day. Looking for our favorite Cabernet, Peaks & Tide. It's deliciousness & reasonably priced. Luckily store #31 had 11 bottles. Yay! I went to this location Thursday night. While I wanted to check out. There was only one employee and as I walked toward his checkout he walks away. I stand there, look around for another employee, spoke to the Indian/Pakistani guy (has a gray beard) he was very rude and had a poor attitude. I love Aldis and shop there often. However, the store is failing. Poor customer service reduces the motivation to chose this store. This makes me sad because this store was truly a godsend for years. Unbelievable BS store. I used to absolutely LOVE ALDI! After what just happened to me I will never go to another one. I was told that I was not allowed to shop in the store because I have a backpack with me and ilyhat I am "a suspicious person with tattoos." I have never had an issue with the way I look before, not anywhere. On top of that I was told that if I wanted to shop there, I would have to submit to a full body search and have my backpack searched as I enter & before I leave as well! They also demanded that I leave my backpack in the managers office after I am searched do I don't steal anything. It's amazing to think that this just happened to me. Literally dozens of people are in the store already and they all have bags they've either brought from home to carry their groceries or they have their handbags with them which are just as big as my backpack, if not bigger. I use my backpack as I am partially disabled and don't drive anymore due to that disability. My backpack contains an oxygen bottle and medication that I need if I have an attack. Apparently ALDI doesn't believe in allowing people who are disabled to come into their store with their medical devices, which I think is a breach of the American Disability Act, which is federal law I don't understand why I am being singled out by their security and treated like this when so many others are able to freely walk into the store. She also stopped 2 black males as they entered and told them to leave, and they didn't even have bags! This is profiling and discrimination, plain and simple. I know that It's practically nothing to them but they're now going to lose the $10k+ I annually spend at their stores. Last year I spent almost $12k in the Plano store and have done nearly all of my shopping from their since 2015. Great way to alienate and push away your loyal customers ALDI. I think it's funny that only a short time ago you were encouraging people to bring their own bags to carry groceries. Now I guess they want you to buy $10 worth of bags Everytime you visit because outside bags are now banned. Whatever. read more

What I love about ALDI are their low prices. Recently they were strictly cash or debit card only. This location surprised me in having Apple Pay! Whaaaat??? ALDI has now officially made it to the future. Make sure to remember your quarter for the cart, and bring bags for your belongings. It is well worth the hassle for the savings. read more

This place is great for your dairy needs. Milk,Eggs,bread are always economic compared with other places. I usually KROGER for my dairy needs, but thinking of a change now. Shop has a unique concept of saving on operations and depend on local supply to keep prices low. They have weekly deals rolling , with discounts on some of grocery stuff. Do not recommend for all foods available in store. Staff are efficient ,on run most time. Definitely worth a try. read more

I usually frequent the Aldi in Allen, but we went to this location one Saturday night while we were in the area and wanted to get our grocery shopping done for the week. The shopping plaza is pretty big but kind of outdated and.. Not as nice as other places in Plano.. haha. While I love Aldi, their selection of food, and their low prices, this store itself is kind of small and very messy. But it could be because it was the end of the night near closing. There were empty boxes everywhere and many items misplaced. We didn't end up getting much items here because not many items were fully stocked. Again, I get that could be because it was the end of the day. The cashier who helped us was pretty nice, and we had a friendly conversation. He was probably the highlight of the trip there. Would we return to this location? No, because my OCD won't allow me to have a subpar grocery shopping experience here again. read more

This store is clean and sparse, and has the feel of a German market, which makes sense since the founders are indeed German. Residents of Plano, TX, should feel ripped off to get an Aldi instead of a Trader Joe's -- both are owned by the same company. Aldi does not publically share their phone number. Aldi's isn't great for buying everything, but it has its place. This location is right next to our apartment, so it's easy to walk over and get what we need. That part is nice for us, but I'm sure you want to know how the actual store is. Like I said, certain things are good to buy there. Milk and eggs are pretty cheap. Frozen meats are pretty cheap. Whenever they lower the prices on items to get rid of them, it's really cheap. One time I bought rolls for 15 cents per package! Other stuff isn't anything spectacular... bread prices are average. Fruits and vegetables are pretty cheap but the quality is hit or miss. And as others have stated, the selection varies. Overall, it is what it is. I usually buy my eggs, milk, and fish there. For other stuff, I go to Kroger or Tom Thumb. Side note: most Aldi's locations are in rundown strip malls. That's nothing against the store itself, as the insides have always been clean and nice from what I've seen. But yeah, some of them can be in pretty ghetto locations. This one, however, is not too bad. The strip here isn't the most happening either, but it doesn't make you feel unsafe or anything. read more

Employee got grumpy when i pointed out i was charged too much. He went to check the price I was right and got a refund. Along with the receipt he handed is the sale price sign as to insult me. I've heard a lot of people say how great Aldi is, so I decided to give it a try. I was on my way home and all I needed was sliced cheese and hamburger buns. Getting in and out of any of the large competitors would have taken at least 15 minutes and I was in a rush. It was so nice to park within 50 feet of the door and when I entered Aldi, its small size and layout made it easy to identify where i would find the sliced cheese, but that is the end of positives. Do to space the cheese choices were limited and price wasn't anything special. Taking 5 stars down to four. Now I need to find hamburger buns. Quick scan of the store found there was no signage to help me and no visible bread on a top shelf. I ended up walking every isle (100% truth) before I found where the bread was. Once again store size means selection is very limited. The only hamburger buns were the size used for a McDonald's kids burger. Fortunately, they did have a six pack of ciabatta rolls. Still 4 stars and I will say the cheese and rolls were good quality and made for good burgers on my charcoal grill. Now I go to the front to check out. There was only one employee and as I walked toward his checkout he walks away and goes into their office space. I stand there, look around for another employee, try to get the attention of the office staff behind the one way glass and continue to wait. After several minutes I walk over to the office door and knock to get their attention. At this point the time I expected to save is gone. The gentleman who previously walked away from me, comes out and in a tone common for saying "don't bother me" says "sorry" and then checks me out. 4 stars just became 2 star for lack of service, poor attitude and wasting my time. If they were a short walk from my home, I would probably still go there, but they aren't. They weren't quick and I like have a choice and there is none. read more

This Aldi is convenient to me. Read the other reviews and you will know the store is set up on pallets and your bring your own bag, etc. I get my produce for cheap here. Not some fruit is either over ripened (brown bananas, over mushy peaches) or un-ripe (green bananas, hard avocados) it's almost never just right but you can beat the prices. Also their bagged lettuce is great too. Sometimes the line for the register gets ridiculous before another cashier is called (only 4 people work the store usually at one time). read more

Great prices and good quality items. Aldi has limited items however most things there very affordable. Because of their low prices, you bag your own grocery AND bring the bags. Also you can use their buggy for a refundable quarter. You will not find your name brand items in this store....instead they have their own brand--which explains the cheap prices. When Aldi's opened we didn't think we would go there. Thank goodness we changed our minds. Their produce is great: avocados for .25 and .29 each, heads of lettuce so much cheaper than the grocery chains and their potato chip brand Clancy's at 10.5 oz bags (no msg, 0g trans fat) and only 1.49 rank up there in taste with the top potato chip manufacturers. But the one item sold at Aldi's that blew us away is the Mama Cozzy's 16" 5 cheese pizza- fresh and ready to bake for 4.99! The cheeses are 100% and not fake. If you have never been to an Aldi's there are few things you need to remember: It is a no frills grocery chain - bring your own shopping bags, cash only or debit card, items are displayed similar to a warehouse grocery store and cashier's sit down to scan your items(as they do in Europe). The Mama Cozzy's pizzas come in a variety but the 5-cheese is our favorite as we just add our own onions, black olives and a little fried sausage crumbles. read more
