Anyways, we typically get the lucky layla yogurt drink from central market and didn't know it came from a farm in plano. While we were in plano we wanted to check it out. The building is really small, and they only sell a few items in the shop. raw milk, lots of different flavors of yogurts and butter. we heard good things about the butter, and wanted to buy some butter but totally forgot about it. the lucky layla yogurt drink is a bit cheaper here vs central market, and they also have a lot more flavors to choose from. plenty of parking up front. its located right across the street from the Collin College Plano Campus read more

Call before you drive. They are a farm and might or might not have raw milk. The butter is great and so is the yogurt. We are a fan of their raw milk and we think it has helped our dog clear up her skin issues. Those enzymes in the raw milk are miracle workers. My son that we thought was lactose intolerant really just needed the enzymes that are killed during pasteurization. He now drinks 2 gallons a week! read more

Lived and worked in and around this area my whole adult life. Passed by this place countless times. Started researching the health benefits of raw milk. So, I finally stopped by and picked up a gallon of milk and some butter. I'm not normally a big milk drinker, but the positive impact of raw milk on your overall health is hard to ignore. Back home I immediately opened the gallon and poured a glass. I'm pleased to report the milk was very good with a slightly creamy full-bodied flavor. I later informed my son (a big milk drinker) that I had purchased some raw milk, and that I had already drank a glass and that it was good. He sort of rolled his eyes with a look like; here goes dad off the deep end again. He hesitated for a day, but then tried it, and thought it was good. A day later and he's drinking multiple glasses! I drank a glass before bed last night and slept at least seven hours before even waking up, something I haven't been able to do in years. Oh yeah, I'll be going back regularly. Maybe it was my bad, but I was under the impression this place sold items from their farm. In case your thinking the same thing heres my review. I went on a weekend they sell Milk, Cookies, Yogurt, Cheese, Eggs, Honey and so on. All of the items I saw come from other farms within the state. It's more of a organic grocers. You can get most of the same things from Trader Joes for less cost... EXCEPT raw milk. I don't drink much milk so I have nothing to compare it to. read more

Excellent and just like it was when I was a kid. We use to get raw milk from our cows all the time and it just works better and much easier on the digestive system because it is packed with live micro's that are beneficial to our digestive system. Raw milk is packed with beneficial lactobacilli that produce vitamin K2, improve absorption of nutrients, and normalize gut function. In short we need good health gut flora of good bacteria. We've been going on and off for years (it's a drive for us) and we love the milk. My kids hated the cream at first, but recently they tried homogenized organic and were grossed out. They've also finally converted. In my search for raw, grass fed milk, Lavon Farms is one of the only places I've found in Texas that sells it to regular consumers. I'm able to make cultured butter from the cream separated from the milk (it turns out a beautiful yellow, something that only grass fed milk produces), cultured buttermilk leftover from the butter, and fresh mozzarella from the skimmed milk. It's $10 a gallon, which sounds expensive, but considering everything I use it for it's very reasonable for high quality milk. Milk isn't the only thing available either. Their drinkable yogurt, available in mango, banana, blackberry, strawberry, blueberry, pina colada, and others I'm probably forgetting, is excellent in the morning when you need a quick bite (or drink). There's also cheese, butter (not cultured), and occasionally veggies produced from local farms. The owners are so friendly, offering to show you their cows or just chatting you up in general. I suppose Brian K writes bad reviews of all the grocery stores that have "Limit 1 per customer" on their ads too. Who needs more than 2 gallons of milk in a single day anyway? Tip: there's now technology called "phones" now that allow you to call ahead and see if they have milk available. What a time to be alive. read more

I was so excited to try raw milk products for the first time, I dropped all of the drinkable yogurts I had picked out while anxiously awaiting my turn to purchase. I signed my waiver, paid and we were out of there--- and the milk was delicious. It lasted at least a full week before what I had remaining soured. I plan on doing this much more in the future, and making my own yogurt--- so glad this place and others is around!
