This is the first time I visited this store, I did a whole loop in the store and finally saw a Starbucks inside which was great. This Kroger location is huge. It's a large supermarket chain with deli, bakery departments, plus health, fuel center and beauty products. Kroger offers thousands of quality food and household products from your favorite brands and companies. From fresh produce, meats and seafood to dairy, home goods, fuel and pharmaceutical needs, Kroger is your one stop for savings and for your daily needs. This newly remodeled store is fantastic, very clean. All the staff are nice and helpful. I would definitely recommond this store for a visit if you are in the area. As is usual for a Kroger, the place was maintained clean and neat, well lit and stocked. I was able to go directly to the two items I needed, grab them, and go through self-checkout with no troubles whatsoever. This Kroger location also has gas pumps outside which makes is pretty convenient. The prices at this store are generally pretty competitive too so that's good. The only con is that there are not that many manned checkout counters and you have to use the self checkout version. They have a good selection of most other varieties of wines and beer, but yet their craft beer and can beer choices are very limited. read more

I love the floral section at this Kroger. Very beautiful flowers with great deals. They also have sale every few days where the flowers be $2/3. I got a beautiful bouquet made here by Jessica for my grandmother with the on sale flowers so I only spent like $5. I will attach image. The people in floral are always amazing. Also I always go here to get cake made for any event I love the bakery lady she's so sweet and always come through for me outside of that the customer service and environment is very hostile and bad the floral and bakery is the only thing saving this place ! read more

I recently moved to Chamblee with my wife, and this is the closest Kroger to us. It's not even 5 minutes from us. I LOVE this Kroger. It's much nicer than the last one we used to go to (Morosgo, which has since been closed down.) This Kroger is HUGE. It's honestly the biggest Kroger I have ever been in. The store has a nice layout, where the aisles are split down the middle. I love how much space each department has. There's so much space everywhere, so it never feels packed no matter how busy it is. There is also a Starbucks inside too. There is plenty of parking in the front too. This Kroger is also nice, cause it has the gas station attached too, our last one didn't at all. I have nothing but good things to say about this Kroger!!! read more

I usually enjoy shopping here, but the pickup service needs serious improvement. My order was not ready on time, and staff seemed overwhelmed and unprepared. There was little communication and no apology for the inconvenience. This was not the level of service I expected. I waited outside when I got a call to say my order will be ready in a few, which turned out to be 2 1/2 hours in Lane 3. The pick up time change from 3 o'clock to five and ending up getting my order at 6:15 in the evening. Unacceptable!!! read more

I bought a package of chicken breast meat on sale yesterday (Thursday July 31) on sale for plus customer. However, at the self checkout register, when I scanned it, it charged me the original price. I asked the Kroger employee at the self service lane and he corrected the price and charged me the printed, sale price. He apologized for the error. The same thing happened today (Friday August 1) at the self checkout cashier. THE SAME Kroger employee as yesterday, at the checkout lane came and corrected the price and apologized again for the error. My question is why the advertised price is different from the charged price,? And this happened twice in two consecutive days. I do have the recipes for both days. How many customers pay attention to this kind of mistakes? read more

This is one of my favorite Krogers that I've been to so far. It's conveniently located for me and has a wide selection of items for regular grocery plus tons of bakery, deli, and hot food items. This Kroger has a lot of stuff in the cosmetic and sundries department too - more than some other locations I've seen. Since I'm still relatively new to Georgia, I have not seen what this location was like before the renovation, but I hear that it has improved since then. The staff are really nice here, unlike at some locations. One gentleman in the meat department was nice enough to help my fiancé and I find what we were looking for and made some great suggestions for certain cuts of meat to use for our dinner also. My love ended up making a tasty Hawaiian style Beef Tomato dinner with the nice stir fry sliced beef we found (kind of like Chinese Pepper Steak). I think I'm still more used to the Singleton Road location's layout, but I'll definitely continue to come to this one as well. The gas station outside is also very convenient, although the gas is not as cheap as some other locations' prices. Overall, it's a clean, well-stocked store with lots of great deals during the week. read more

The store is in a plaza but it plus its gas station take up most of the space, so there's plenty of parking for Kroger customers. This is the largest, nicest Kroger I've seen and it has everything! There are TWELVE self checkout lanes at the front and three more next to Starbucks. I found so many items that are rarely available at other stores. I found a full set of a skincare line that I love. At other stores I can only find one or two things from this line. I also found my Chobani yogurt drinks and Kenny's pies here. All of the cart sizes are available; even the Caroline cart, which I've never seen at a Kroger. I make multiple small grocery trips each week that are too much for a handheld basket but makes me feel silly to put such a small amount in a large cart. So I'm glad they actually have plenty of the smaller carts with the two small baskets. I counted ten scooter carts and they were ALL charged. Crazy! Each section here is a real section. Instead of a floral counter, there's takes up an entire wall. Instead of just a few shelves of drinks there's a double-wife beverages section. The coffee counter is an actual Starbucks; not just a vendor, so they can process Starbucks rewards. Fresh bread had just been put out while I was there and it smelled so good. There's a big section of tables behind the Starbucks if you want to "dine-in". There are separate men and women bathrooms with stalls, and a single unisex bathroom. There are bag hooks outside of the bathroom; another Kroger first for me. I know that some people are picky about their hand-drying method so you'll be pleased to know that you have a dryer AND paper towels to choose from. Sushi is made fresh daily by AFC. Little extras Redbox movie rental Blue Rhino propane Recycling bins Bicycle rack Home Chef meal kits Pharmacy (with covid vaccine) Bank of America Gas Station KeyMe (copy keys) COVID precautions Aside from the cart wipes at the door I didn't notice any other precautions. Once again I went back to Kroger on Chamblee Tucker Road and again was very disappointed. Let me count the ways: 1. They continue to not carry a variety of non-meat options - especially Beyond Meat. But, I found three packages of Beyond Meat Sausage and ALL THREE had mold growing on them and were still left on the shelf. I tried to point this out to someone - but there was no one in that area to address this issue. 2. They continue to carry a very poor selection of produce - not many options. This time, though, was worse than usual. Many of the Poblano peppers were spoiled - the same was true for the Red Peppers. And on to the baking potatoes - not only was there very few individual ones to pick from - several of them were rotten and leaking. This was also true for the Sweet Potatoes poor selection and several that were there were rotten. How is this possible. Is no one responsible for constantly monitoring the Produce Section? 3. Overall store condition and ambiance seems as though they really don't care - as though they are the only large grocery store in the Embry Hills area. I don't who is managing this location nor who from Corporate is doing quality assurance and control - but, both are performing less than optimum for a corporation this large. I guess they feel we have no other option and they want to run this location as a slight upgrade to a Convenience Store rather than a full service super grocery store. I am now committed to travel the distance to one of the larger Public grocery stores like the one at Peachtree Corners - where ever time I go I am impressed with the care they take in being responsive to their customers; the variety and high quality of their produce; the commitment to non-meat alternatives; the high quality of their seafood; and they ALWAYS have some to bag your groceries when you choose not to self-checkout. I know it will take me longer getting there - but very importantly, I know they travel time will be well worth the quality I will receive both in products and services! read more

I have visited this Kroger on many an occasion. However, this was my first trip in a while and WOW has it changed. I almost want to take relatives on field trips to this grocery store. It is huge, very efficient, and well stocked. Lots of registers that were actually staffed. Plenty of parking. This trip made me reconsider my local grocery store in favor for a few extra miles to here. My hesitation.. we are still in a pandemic? Seeing self-serve hot food, self-serve bakery goods .. maybe I missed the salad bar? It is very easy to avoid those areas but people are still dying. I guess if you didn't experience the worst of this you'd never understand. read more

This is an absolutely beautiful Kroger. I went on the second day of reopening due to my sisters urging. The store was gorgeous from the floors to the open spacing and wide aisles. I found quite the goodies from here such as Cindy's cookies which were soooo delicious, Cheesecake Factory wheat bread (YESSSS) and Murray's cheese, which I will purchase next time. I purchased seafood as they had amazing deals on crab legs and the like. The floral section was spectacular and I cannot wait to go back!! read more

Young Lady with the blonde wig ha terrible attitude.. being distracted by my young soon I used the wrong debit card (no excuse I should of been paying attention) to avoid a bank fee I went to customer service to refund the wrong card and put it on the correct one.. because I was doing a refund I felt like I was being treated as an inferior person by this young lady.. after the transaction I asked for my refund recipient to show my bank just in case she told me I should of told her I wanted a receipt and she can no longer give me one.. how is that possible when she is keeping the one for the store? They have sold us bread four times that was already molded when delivered to our car. They almost never have Pepperidge farm sourdough in stock and when they do it is hard instead of fresh and soft. I have complained several times to employees. I have asked to speak to the manager several times and never able to get a manager. Finally in December 2023 I spoke in depth with Alicia who said she is the store manager who apologized profusely and promised it would be better. She explained how some of it issues of. Ring fulfilled by the warehouse versus in store for pickups of groceries. You know u appreciate her explaining, but what I expect is that when I pay full price that I get food that is not moldy or substituted for a different brand when I specifically said do not substitute Every time I call it's as long wait and usually some person answers who is rude, unwilling to help and provides no resolution. Today I have been on hold so far for 22 minutes and no has even answered the phone yet. I wish this Kroger would get its act together and if they won't or can't then I hope they close this 3 year old monstrosity of a store and that a better grocer moves into that space. They built the store over just about the time Covid hit and built a massive store that has no more selection than the prior store and is very often out of things. I can't count how many times I have tried to buy produce and it rings up higher in price. Today strawberry's had a huge sign advertising for about $1.59 and blueberries for $2.59. The price of the strawberries was written literally two feet high, in tiny small print was you need a coupon. The strawberries you just needed your card to get the sale price. Rang them up, with my card the price was almost double in price for both. Once the strawberries have been rung up, you can't use a coupon. I asked an attendant, about it, he pretty much blew me off and started to help another customer. That ... is ... it !!! I left the groceries and walked out the store. No more ... Why am I expected to be the customer and the employee when shopping here? There are always ample employees in the store, yet no one checking people out at the 500 registers they have. The only registers that are ever open are self-checkout and the one lady helping the 50 people checking themselves out is always MIA and super slow. It's so obnoxious. I wasn't trained to work at Kroger and often have several problems every time I attempt to check myself out. It's such a long agonizing process I just cannot shop here anymore. read more

Much like John E., this is the closest Kroger to us, though we'd had the habit of going to the one at Georgetown because we had been going there for years before moving. I think we all stopped by a time or two before the renovation, and AT has gone a few times post-renovation. We're impressed by how nice the new Kroger is and after the last few visits, we've decided we'll probably go here more frequently than to the store at Georgetown both for the physical proximity and the ease of going to and fro. We find everything we buy from the other store here (including our beloved bread ) except for our favorite pasta (imported from Italy) of the Private Selection brand. Please bring this to this location! There's a Starbucks location here, which I haven't tried yet but probably will. This brings Starbucks closer to us, as we'd go to either the location at Georgetown or the one near Whole Foods in Chamblee. All kinds of conveniences, including the new gas station! I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about measures taken to mitigate the propagation of the novel coronavirus as we live through the COVID-19 pandemic. There are wipes (like there always has been, I believe). Masks are required of both employees and customers, but you'll see the occasional d-bag who has the mask under his or her nose. First time here since the new renovations, and I must say this looks amazing & luxurious now! It's bright & neat. Also veryy CLEAN! They had everything that I needed when visiting today :) The employees were friendly and helpful & I definitely will be back! Since they had a $2 special going on I had to come back and get me a Caramel Frappe. I like how they have a big lounge area behind Starbucks where you can actually sit down eat your food or even take a little break from shopping. The wait was was long but that's expected since they're just starting and still training some of the employees. It was good to see the manager observing, helping her staff and making sure everything was running smoothly. They do have different store hours compared to the grocery store. read more

The old Kroger was janky so I was very excited when they started work on this one. Now that I have been shopping here for over a year, I can say that its...fine? Its just fine. Not as great as I was hoping for, but better than it was. Is it big? Yes. It isnt one of the super Krogers with the bars and restaurants, but it is much bigger than a normal kroger. What is that space used for? Im not entirely sure. There is a Starbucks, occasionally some patio furniture for sale, and a better bakery than they typically have, but otherwise im not sure what the space is used for. The fruit section is fine, but you have to figure out the delivery schedule. Sometimes I go and a lot of the fruit is either gone or looks kind of nasty. Other times I get there and there is plenty of fruit and it all looks good. The meat section is also tricky. I like to buy different cuts of beef, but a lot of times all I can find is sirloin or beef tips. If you want ribeye, filet, skirt, or any other cut, good luck. Sometimes its there and sometimes it isnt. Their meat prices are much better then Publix, so I am happy when I find what I am looking for. I just never know when that is going to happen. I love their bakery items. They have a lot of premade desserts that are always good (in my experience, at least). There is a wide selection of cakes and cupcakes, many of which you can find as single servings or entire cakes. At the end of the day, going to this Kroger feels like a lot of walking without the benefits of being a larger store. The frozen food section is a mile away from the meat section, and good luck if you walk all the way to the pharmacy and realize you forgot something at the deli. read more

This is the closest Kroger to my house so I probably visit it weekly for some item or another. Most of my produce shopping is done at Your Dekalb Farmers Market (with the Buford Highway Farmers Market a close second). The produce at this Kroger location seems very well stocked to me with an average organic section - not that I buy organic exclusively, but do like to buy what I can afford, provided the prices are relatively close to the commonly grown items. Occasionally you can find a deal or two on items in the produce section (mostly seasonal fruit) so look out for any special displays. The bakery area may be a bit smaller than most Krogers you're used to and the items I tend to buy are often out-of-stock. I will pick up a rotisserie chicken on occasion, provided they're on sale at around the $5 price - frankly if I want something like this you can't beat the chickens they have at Costco - larger and at $5 can't be beat. I haven't had much contact with the customer service are so can't qualify that service, however every employee I've dealt with has been super friendly, especially the butchers behind the meat counter. I don't buy many canned items but the shelves seem to be well stocked. This Kroger recently went through a remodel so they've gone up a shelf or two and the aisles have been switched around. This will take some getting use to, but everything is well marked. They've also expanded their natural and organic section but it's still not as well stocked as some other stores - this is not a large Kroger, being more of what I think of as a mid-sized store. The wine aisle seems over-priced to me but I get that impression in any grocery store - also you don't get much of the ratings and descriptions found in most wine stores. This Kroger does stock Red Rock ginger ale (and Reeds Ginger Beer but in a different section, by the natural/organics) and Red Rock cola - both have bite and are worth trying (I especially like the Red Rock ginger ale with Kraken rum for a Dark and Stormy). The beer selection is average - nothing special but pretty much all domestics and many of the popular imports are represented - a bit pricey on the latter but there's usually something you'll like that's on sale so it's good for a quick twelve-pack-pickup. I've always had a good experience with the pharmacy, other than sometimes having to wait in long lines (this place gets very busy but that seems to be common with most grocery-store pharmacies). The parking could be a bit more generous but the entire lot has an odd shape - it can get quite busy at this location and there's a danger of getting run-over at the main entrance. Many of the people that shop here do so for convenience (they don't seem to live locally) so there's always someone hauling ass across the front. Be very careful crossing over - too many people distracted by smart-phones and not paying attention to pedestrians. The lot is well lit but could use a few more lights. Around the corner there's a billiards hall, a Planet Fitness and a Three Dollar Cafe Express, so some options to try while grocery shopping. There also always seems to be a crowd around the RedBox machines to the right of the entrance - also people tend to leave their car parked in the no-parking while returning movies - I wish they'd find a better location for those machines, farther away from the entrance. Re-reading my review there seems to be more negatives than positives but this is actually a good, well-maintained store that needs a few tweaks. I run into neighbors shopping here frequently and the prices are better than Publix - just note that we don't buy many processed items so we ignore much of the store. This is, however, my grocery store of choice for those items we do buy. read more

I love this Kroger so I had to review! Never did a review on a grocery store before but I love this kroger so much and I'm going to tell you why. I don't know where to start but let me talk about it before the remodeling happen. I went to different krogers and this one is always my favorite and the one by my house is OK but this location kroger I love it I go the extra miles just to come to this location before the remodeling too. I LOVE this kroger OK. The environment of this koger always been great. Now with the remodeling they really went above and beyond like I love it so much because a customize to you. Let me give you some little examples of why this cover is amazing. *The bakery section is amazing because you have fresh breads and pastries and donuts at a better deal then some donut shops, I SAID IT! *The Wing bars is cool because you can try different wings to your desire with mix and match. *The cheese lover this has good selection of cheese and cheese you never heard of which cool if you are new to cheeses. *The Coustom alcohol section I am not a drinker of alcohol but they have a section where you get 6 packs but YOU choose the flavor to YOUR desire making your own customized 6 pack and there so many flavors for you! *The Drinks there is an aisle dedicated to so many drink like juice,water,coffees and etc. *The cafeteria to eat *The starbuck for those who want that. *The Sushi section *The sandwich section where you make your own. OVERALL I love everything! I recommend all go to this kroger once. read more

Great beer/wine selection. Gas station for the win! Plus my gym is located in the same shopping center which is so convenient.
