So I prepared the spicy Thai shrimp fried rice that I got from Trader Joe's and it didn't say whether to cook frozen or unfrozen so I cooked it frozen. I followed the instructions and let's just say don't use stainless steel pans but also I didn't do my test to see if my pen was ready before I put the oil in so that's on me. I have to take the blame for that because my pan is a mess and I'm cleaning it right now. But let's get to this fried rice. It has a great heat to it now I did add a little sesame oil to my pan and a little dark soy sauce and the shrimp are good with it. I would buy this again. Do you need to maybe add a little flavor yes because you get the heat, but it's not hitting me with flavor. I get a little spices, but it's not something that's gonna wow now to some people it will, but to me that's a connoisseur and a home chef I want a little bit more flavor and another thing to stretch this is to maybe scramble two eggs because it does have eggs in it, but I just think that fried rice is better with fresh eggs the eggs in it are good but I just I like a lot of eggs in my fried rice so I will be adding two eggs and some colossal black tiger shrimp because I had them on hand, but I just want it in this picture you to see the fried rice by itself no added eggs no added shrimp just this fried rice and I'm not gonna lie to you. I'm gonna buy this again the same way I like those shrimp potstickers if you're in there grab those two they're great with a little bit of that citrus Panzo sauce yes sir, thank me later. The ambience of the store it is what it is you know Trader Joe's to me it's a I would say maybe a better version of Aldi's. I don't know why I always had this stigma that Trader Joe's was an expensive store, but I do like the culture of different things I can get in all these that some things. Yes you're gonna pay for you know but I'm one of them connoisseurs that I go to Trader Joe's, Publix Whole Foods that's one of my favorites num dae mun for fresh seafood or I'll go to DeKalb farmers market every once in a blue moon and just grab a whole lot of seafood, but I also shop at Walmart Lidl because they have certain things that I can go to those storage for now you know what I should've added to this, which I probably will do later is make a duck breast that I have on hand and make it a shrimp and duck breast fried rice oh my God I think that's gonna be fabulous, but y'all have a wonderful and blessed day and thanks for looking at my review read more

This is a great Trader Joe's! We stopped in on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Everything was well stocked, and all of the checkout lines were moving smoothly. I was particularly happy to see that they had beautiful persimmons in stock. The people that worked there seemed very pleasant and efficient. Probably my least favorite location in the metro area entirely because of the parking. I went to high school right down the street and it's been an issue since then and still is today. In my most recent few visits over the past year they have almost always been sold out of what I'm looking for. I dint know if it's the day I'm there or what is going on but I always leave with a fraction of what I went in looking for. It was my first time visiting and prime time to come is 30 min-an hour before closing. Sure, the employees probably hate it because they're restocking the shelves but it wasn't chaotic and walking around with a cart was manageable. I enjoy going to the trader Joe's. I only really go honestly for wine but they usually have a pretty decent selection. The prices are always good and very reasonably affordable. And just because you get something that's a lower price range does not mean it's going to be bad, because there's some really good wines there that aren't $80 a bottle but really hit how they need to hit. I have no problem making this a stop off of my wine shop to fill my bar. read more

This was my first time shopping at the Sandy Springs location. They had a good bit of the fall goodies remaining as well as a lot of Christmas items. I love the cornbread crisps that are seasonal and was able to snag a bag of those. I love Trader Joe's, especially this time of year as there is an assortment of plants and flowers. I am obsessed with plants so whenever I'm there, I make it my duty to pick up a few flowers for the house. This time, I saw this tropical house plant, can't remember the name but it's beautiful and I had to have it. What was even more special, a cashier pointed out that there were more plants along the window and to be sure to look through those before making my final selection. After I selected the house plant I was near the flowers and saw the purple calla Lillie's that were nice. I usually get a bunch of sunflowers but I wanted to change it up with the season and all. I personally think that this location is the best for fresh flowers. My usual location isn't bad but fresh flowers do tend to sell out quick. This visit was on a Friday afternoon. read more

I used to go to the Trader Joe's in Athens when I lived farther to the east, but I have recently moved and this Trader Joe's is right next to my place. I was so excited! I love Trader Joe's and finally live close enough to one to go regularly. They have really great prices and soo many items that you can't find anywhere else. As someone who loves French food, I was very happy to see that you can find so many authentic French ingredients here. I have a hard time finding Raclette, Crème fraîche, Comté, Lardons (actually Pancetta and not for me, but for when I'm making Quiche Lorraine for non vegetarians lol), etc. etc. They also have so many ingredients imported from other countries as well + lots of imported wines at a really good price! The only complaint, and it's not really a complaint, is that the store is a little bit small. They pretty much have everything, definitely all of the basics, but occasionally if you need a certain ingredient for a specific recipe like a certain shape of pasta for ex. they might not have every type of noodle available. But I wouldn't say that I run into that issue often enough for it to be a problem! I will definitely be doing 99% of my grocery shopping here now! read more

Trader Joe's has developed an almost cult-like following. Well I myself to like Trader Joe's, I must admit that sometimes I wonder how it has developed such a fervent following of devotees. The store is clean and the staff is friendly and professional. They have a good selection on the shelves and some of the items are very reasonable. Note the operative word is some of the items. I've been here about a dozen times over the years so it's about time I get to writing a review for this location... My regular Trader Joe location is the one original one in Roswell, GA https://goo.gl/maps/VtXRUfA8Tw2dpXPH7 It's not the closed but it's pretty easy to get to...straight down 92 ( Holcomb Bridge) The location that I sometimes go to but because of their lack of parking spaces is the one in Marietta, GA https://goo.gl/maps/QtsRbtWA84QdkfDv9 I like this location but sometimes depending on the time of the day or week you visit parking can be a challenge. Not only that people like to drive in the wrong direction in the parking lot...because? they must assume they are the only people on the planet and no one else exists... This store is super busy like the Roswell location and some of the layout is a little different. When I was here the last time they were giving out 3 kind of samples...strawberries, spicy cheese and cashew spread that taste just like cheese. Their free coffee was piping hot and fresh...and they have a seperate thermos for free milk next to the coffee station which my Trader Joe does not have...hmm... I have never had problems finding items here and always friendly cashiers. No complaints...expect for bad drivers... read more

Sorry Monroe Dr TJ, this location has pulled ahead in the ranks. Its got the trademark welcoming atmosphere (that has fell by the wayside over the years at many locations) but minus the equally trademark chaos of a parking lot situation. I don't have to allot a chunk of time for potentially driving in circles scouring the lot for a spot -- or strategize my time of day. Ultra convenient spot in general if you're local to the area. Lots of props to the crew here. They work hard and they still take the time to chat/engage with me at checkout (or if I'm looking lost in the aisles). It doesn't feel forced. This TJ's also stays stocked better overall. They rarely are consistently "out" of certain items. It doesn't feel as crammed inside even during rush hours -- which is a big deal (especially if grocery stores already give you that feeling). It's not the top place I'd recommend to take a casual, leisurely browse aimlessly but no complaints from me. read more

I've only been to this location once previously, but some of the "Geniuses" higher than me in the work food chain recently felt like it was a good idea for us to be back in the office, so I'm regularly close by these days. I've shopped at Trader Joe's from New Mexico to Atlanta and I'm NEVER disappointed.  While my favorite location is the 1 in Peachtree Corners, GA, I'm always happy with the prices, selection and the helpfulness, knowledge and friendliness of the TJ's staff...This location was no exception and surprisingly, had some of the most delightful and helpful staffers that I've come across at TJ's (I didn't think that was possible). Apparently, either this location differs from the Monroe Drive location, or the reins are being loosened and I missed it, but I didn't have to wait in line to go in this location, unlike my last last few trips to the Monroe Drive location and there was a sign at the entrance about current mask policy...If you've been vaccinated, do what'chu do, otherwise mask on please - I can dig it. This is my local Trader Joe's and it's the absolute best. The employees are always so welcoming and kind and provide top of the line customer service. It is a smaller TJ's compared to others which makes it busy. That being said, they are rarely out of stock on products and are constantly restocking. They always have the best flowers here. Due to covid, there may be a bit of a line to wait in outside if you shop during peak hours but it moves fairly quickly to do people coming out quickly. read more

This location is almost a hidden gem. Prices here and extremely inexpensive but you also get an overall good shopping experience with great customer service. They don't have conveyor belts so the cashier takes your cart and rings up their items and someone can help them bag. They give customers brown paper bags which is more environmentally friendly than plastic ones. They get an even bigger thumbs up from me for that. The shopping plaza they are in is extremely busy most times as there are a lot of stores in the plaza so finding parking can be a bit of a challenge and you have to be careful walking in the parking lot due to cars constantly moving. read more

Without question it's my favorite place to purchase groceries from. The only problem is it's location to my home. As such, I don't shop here as frequently as I would if it were only a 5-10 min drive. This grocery store is located in a strip mall with my favorite boutique, Pier One Imports, a nail salon and a host of other store. This store is organized like most grocery shops. You will fin your produce meat and dairy at the perimeter of the store. The inside aisles consist of boxed/canned goods and there is a frozen section in the middle of the store. You will find a nice wine selection on the far left hand side of the store. At the rear left corner of the store is a sampling area. There are typically 2 items to sample. You can also sample coffee in the coffee aisle. Occasionally they will have a wine and cheese sampling event. Trader Joe's understands that the best marketing is having potential customers try the product. The prices are great, quality is amazing ,and customer service is always on point. NOTE: Don't forget to bring your reusable bags. If you bring your own bag(s) you get entered into a raffle. I honestly don't know how often they pick a winner or what you win since I have never won! read more

Still my favorite location! Trader Joe's is a great organization in general with great, reasonably priced and nutritious selections. The Sandy Springs location is exceptional! Tonight I called to verify closing time, although I was sure it was 9 pm. Of course the store answered and confirmed. I explained that I had just had a sub par massage that didn't start on time and was hoping that the store opened later so I could shop while in area (I live @ 20 minutes from the store and try to combine outings when in vicinity). Long story short, I was asked if in area and knew exactly what I wanted. I replied OJ, soap (love their tea tree soap - $1.99 for 2 pk) & toilet paper (boycotting my old time fave Angel Soft & the Koch Bros and hope & pray they have nothing to do with Trader Joe's! ). The employee, true to his word, met me at the door and let me in. Grabbed my 3 items - though tempted by the exquisite double roasted salsa & white pomegranate tea - and checked out. TJ's really made my day. It truly is the little things that count ;-) My only request is to please bring back the old vendor (JW Morris perhaps???) for the Geuwertraminer wine. What a miserable grocery shopping experience on a Saturday at noon. This was my second time coming into this location of Trader Joe's, and hopefully my last. The store is located in a shopping center that is very busy and parking is not easy to find. Although I saw about 7 store associates while shopping, not one of them stopped to say hello or ask if I needed help looking for something (where is the flax seed!) the store is very small and would be easy to navigate if not for the amount of people grocery shopping. It's an altogether different experience than a Whole Foods or Kroger. The produce was not easily accessible as I tried to duck and dodge carts with my own. It was almost a stressful experience, which is the last thing one needs at the grocery store. I gave it 3 stars because it is impressive that the store remained stocked and looked like no one was in there shopping. None of the shelves were bare. In addition, there were hardly lines to checkout. All of the registers were open and the associates were diligently moving people through the lines. read more

I want to love TJ I really do. This location isn't awful. They do great with Covid protocols. However, they sometimes don't have things in stock or things are hard to find. I feel like I have to stock up because I won't know when it's gone. It's actually really frustrating. Some items are cheap. Some parents over priced. Some things are overhyped. I always feel like a kid Christmas morning stepping into a Trader Joe's. There are shelves and shelves of food toys to gaze upon and buy. The stock changes pretty often between my visits, and I have a blast going through all the shiny offerings. Going to a TJ's makes grocery shopping definitely less of a dull chore. This was my first time visiting the Sandy Springs location. Like many other TJs in the Atlanta area, you'll find reasonably priced items, cheery staff, and samples. I came at an off-time so parking was hassle-free in this strip mall. As usual, I ended up filling my cart to the brim with goodies. I find that Trader Joe's really excels in the snack department and the frozen foods department. Most products are from the Trader Joe's house brand, but there are a few outsider items, like Fage yogurt and beer. Meat and produce are more limited. There's no scale which means you will have to guesstimate weights if you need a specific amount of loose veggies/fruits. A lot of produce is pre-bagged. My green onion roots looked a funky brown shade. I wanted some ground beef, and the only option seemed to be kosher 85% for $7.99/pound, no thanks. Ended up with less expensive ground turkey which actually rocked in my recipe. Oh, I've always wondered about this! From the Trader Joe's website FAQ: "One bell lets our Crew know when to open another register. Two bells mean there are additional questions that need to be answered at the checkout. Three bells call over a manager-type person. And Three short bells-two long bells-three short bells... now we're just playing." Of course I picked the slowest line and was cranky when TJ's opened up more registers when it was too late to switch. Guess I'll have to sneakily ring the bell once next time. read more

This grocery chain has figured it out.....great products, reasonable prices, extremely polite/professional employees, and during COVID, they are rocking the world with their entry-contro, hand sanitizing, and mask requiring rules. We have to drive ~95 miles to get to this one....and I'd drive 150 if the truth be told. PLEASE put one in Chattanooga TN and Savannah GA!!! Their unique product line, and properly proportioned sizes, make it great for just my wife and I. Their seasonal specials are just outstanding. Been shopping at this location for years now; my fav location in Atlanta. Staff never lets me down, almost always stocked with my faves and staff is always extremely accommodating. If I can't locate something or ever curious about when a product is dropping, staff always go above and beyond to either call surrounding stores or help hunt down the item. You are an odd man, Joe...but, I think...I think I love you. Our first date was last Friday. I came in during my lunch hour and ended up spending the first 20 minutes in your floral section. You are the only man to ever bring me my favorite flowers on a first date. Tiny bundles of pink peonies? Oh, Joe, you are a rare find. I have to admit your odd freezer section threw me for a loop. Chicken fried rice, kimchi stir fry and crispy brussel sprouts all delicately sitting in a row of cases all while delicious treats from above mock your healthy decisions. Trader Joe's has so much to offer! Service is usually prompt and the staff very friendly. I enjoy hearing the bell chime! My monthly visit here is always to check out their frozen food selections. Oh, and I can't forget their fresh fruits. I love the the frozen food aisle, very diverse and unique items that you don't find anywhere else. You can find anything from stir fry and pork dumplings to spinach pie and multi-grain lasagna. The array consists of both meat and veggie options. As an added bonus, there is almost always something available to sample while you're shopping. I anticipate receiving their Fearless Flyer in the mail just to check out what's new in store and of course the cartoons...lol read more
