When I went up to the counter, the lady had no idea about my order. They apparently forgot it. The manager had to go back in the back and make it herself. They are disorganized. When it comes to lunch time in that area, it is at a very limited time to pick up and go. I will never be back to this publix. Done. Service is really not what it should of been. I only had a short period of time to eat and didn't have time to eat all of it.

Brandi, never smiled or spoke to me when I asked her to please open another line bc the lines were long and my 90-year old mother was running out of oxygen . Only 2 lines were open and they have no self service lines. Publix charges enough that I should not have to wait in a line that goes into the food aisle. I asked her if she could ring me up there (she was a.customer service , with no customers.) or open a new line. This obviously made her very angry , but she told me she would ring me up in the express line. Of course 2 men got behind me in line with only a couple items and were very angry. I get it. One man thought I was trying to get my mom to cut in front of him and I was not. I was telling her to go to the other line (the whole point is both get checked out quickly) . The man barked "no!" I said "what?" and he said "she is not cutting in line" I told him that was not what I was telling her to do (obviously I wouldn't do that he was mad enough ) . Meanwhile, I had been apologizing profusely to the men in the line and to Brandi. She never spoke even though I continuously apologized. I admitted it was totally our fault for not watching the oxygen. I'm sure they were all thinking we should leave as groceries aren't an emergency. I got out of line while being rung up to plead with my mom to leave and let me come back and get her groceries. But she gets more stubborn everyday and was gonna run out of oxygen before she left those groceries . At this point I am clearly upset extremely apologetic and pretty much out of options . Brandi never spoke to me, despite me speaking to her, or smiled or looked at me . Publix, at least put your friendly (there were a few employees who were very nice) caring and helpful employees in customers service. And ask them to open a new lane when there are people waiting into the food aisles with only 2 lines open. The fact is the lines were too long and she should've rung me up there or opened another line instead of having customers behind me fuming. And yes, the two men behind me had a right to be irritated. But I really hope I would not act that way if I were in their shoes . I didnt tell her to put me in express line. I believe I would've sucked it up and waited. Just because it was another human being I hope neither Brandi nor the customers are ever on oxygen or caring for someone on oxygen , because they might run into people like them. Bottom line , very poor customer service. Go to one of the 2 nearby Krogers or to Fresh market .

It was also the same time that this store introduced the brand new self-check out stations. An employee (and she knows who she is) was supposed to be monitoring the self-check out stations. However she told a police officer on site that I was not paying for my items. When I showed the police the receipt, there was no apology from the police or anyone from publix. I don't usually listen to other customer's complaints about racial profiling. However, I believe that the employee singled me out and Lied to the police (which is a crime), at a time when the city was trying to prepare for a snow storm/warning.

I don't understand why management decided to have employees restock shelves during late morning on Saturday, but that's what happened today while I was shopping. Yes, I understand that it's currently difficult to find/hire employees, and having them do things while they're at work is important, but making an obstacle course of pallets that employees are moving while customers pushing full size shopping carts are trying to avoid running into the pallets is not fun. Obviously, this means that pallets were blocking part of the aisles, all this while Saturday morning shoppers were trying to do their things. Some of the produce wasn't fresh, like the soft cucumbers that were on sale, and many of the sweet onions were rejects since they had soft spots. All of the self service checkouts were open, but the lines at them were moving slow. I opted to go through one of the two regular checkout lines, and the cashier was very quick at getting customers through. Overall, this Kroger is OK.

They prefer smaller carts. The ones who prefer small carts are going down the street to Publix. Publix always, always has small carts available. This store is losing good business to Publix on Spalding, just a few miles away. As usual, there are hardly any live cashiers. When you go to close out and pay, you, the customer will be doing the work. You won't be receiving help from a cashier as there are few workers in this store. This store is severely shorthanded. They need to hire more people like their existing personnel. They have great people, but not enough of them. When they are available, they are happy to help you. Because the elderly and wealthy don't want to check themselves out, this store is losing good business to Publix on Spalding, a couple of miles away.

There were people stocking more things while I was there on a mid-Friday. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but they were around in case I had a question. There are cafe vendors and a dining area past the cashiers. They had Korean BBQ, hot dog on a stick, shave ice, & more. There's even a minimal area offering clothing and Korean skincare! For the kids (& the kid in you), there was an arcade including the Gacha games! Prices weren't outrageous and actually comparable to other international markets.
