    Kroger storefront.
    Kevin C.

I like this Kroger store, and it's the one that I go to the most since the Kroger that was the closest to where I live was permanently closed. This one is much bigger, and has all of the full functioning departments found in all of the large Kroger stores, like meat (with a butcher), bakery, deli, seafood and pharmacy. Kroger is in the Georgetown Square Shopping Center, along with lots of small businesses. Parking is available in the free shared parking lot, but customers may not be able to park close to Kroger. Employees wear face masks, but not all customers wear them. While I was there, I thought two older women were going to duke it out because one of them decided that she didn't have to wear a face mask. Hand sanitizer is available at the doors as are antibacterial wipes to rid germs after other customers have touched the handles of carts and baskets. Employees will generally help you if you ask for assistance, although this may be a hit or miss depending on the employee's experience level. To me, it seems that a good amount of customers are always inside this store. I think that, because of this reason, this store is just about always well stocked, unless there is a national shortage of items. Produce looks fresh most of the time, and the employees are pretty good at removing items that have passed their expiration dates. Just a tip here, the meat department has a section where they have discounted unsold meat that is getting close to its expiration date (but they're still good and haven't yet reached its expiration date). Some of these are great bargains, but customers should cook them the same day they buy the meat. I've had medication prescriptions filled and refilled at this pharmacy. The pharmacy employees have been very helpful and courteous every time I've dropped off prescriptions or picked up meds, and they honor Good RX price discounts. Customers who have registered to get the Kroger Plus Shopper's Card are eligible to receive special discounts on select items, and customers who register at Kroger.com can get additional discounts online and through electronic coupons that can be used in the store. Prices are competitive, although, in my opinion, average prices at Kroger are just a little higher than Walmart and lower than Publix.

Published store hours 6am to 11pm. Store employees actually lock doors ten to 15 minutes early and mock customers who question them about it

Store closes at 11, but employees lock doors well before official closing time. Every Kroger will allow customers to enter at 10:50, as long as you quickly find what you need and are out by 11, but not here. It's really amazing to see store employees lock the doors in customers faces and then taunt them when they point out that they have ten minutes to shop. It's incredible that Kroger corporate allows the Kroger at Georgetown Shopping Center (Chamblee/Atlanta) store to violate published store hours and treat customers with absolute disrespect. One employee dared the Disappointed customers to "Go call corporate, cause they can kiss her a#% too." Customer service at its finest. Avoid this store at night.

My friendly neighborhood Kroger. This Kroger happens to be the closest grocery store to my residence, so needless to say, they receive the majority of my business. Staff: The staff is usually always polite. I've had a run in with one or two people part of the late crew who were rude and probably were just ready to leave for the day, but that's still no way to act. No one really asks if you need any help, which I don't mind. I'm not necessarily trying to converse with every associate there, but they're available if you need assistance. Produce: This is the main issue I have with this Kroger. Every time I come in the store, produce is very low. I either have nothing at all to choose from or my choices are slim and have been picked over. There's might've been once when I came to this location and their produce stock was completely full. I'm not sure when they get trucks, but it feels odd that every time I go, they're low or out. This goes for all produce: fruits & veggies. Expect LONG LINES during power outages, hurricanes, snow days, or other pre-determined bad weather conditions by the meteorologist. If they indicate that you may want to stock up on food for a random snow week in Atlanta, get to Kroger immediately. I've waited in some lines so long that I thought I was at Disney World waiting for a ride. I mean, 30-45 minutes for self checkout. Lines for regular attendants would be backed all the way down regular grocery aisles. They need all hands on deck at these times! I need this Kroger to stay stocked up. They're the closest grocery store, so it's hard to give them business if they don't have much. It's also an inconvenience if I have to drive to another store for something that my Kroger location should have!

While I was picking out my snacks, I happened to glance up & saw the Deli menu displaying "Vegetarian & Vegan" Subs. Of course, I was taking advantage of this. Jae, the Deli employee took my order. Now, they do not have Vegan bread, not a worry. I was able to purchase my Vegan & Gluten Free bread for Jae to make my Turkey & Bacon Sub. Here's the awesome topping, I was refunded for my bread purchase...of course still charged for my Sub. The Vegan Sub ingredients include Lightlife SmartBacon strips, Unreal Roasted Turkey slices, Follow Your Heart Smoked Gouda Cheese, Publix's own Ranch Dressing & all the garden fixin's. Of course, I had to get Publix's signature Olive Oil & Vinegar mixture. I got everything except the Ranch Dressing as they were out of it. Jae even took the time to see if there was Ranch Dressing on the shelves. None, yet ok as I make my own from scratch. Jae's service was A+ & well appreciated. She cleaned the prep area & changed out her gloves twice while preparing my Sub. I'll be back for another one before the weekend is out...hello good carbs.

This quickness it's very clean, and pretty organized. I have gone and walked in just to get some vegetables and fruit so I can juice, it's really easy to find all the things that I need (If they have it). The only thing that I wasn't really thrilled about was the fact that the sandwich shop isn't really the best. And not because of the ingredients or anything like that, but just because they don't really make sandwiches like I would like them to. I'll get a wrap and it'll be sloppily done or something like that, like there's no reason in my wrap should be lopsided because you don't know how to wrap or fold. And I really like the sandwiches from Publix, their wraps are really good! But it really depends on the specific people that are there. So that really makes a big deal who's touching your food and who's preparing it. Other than that, I don't have an issue with the spot at all. And I'll probably still continue to shop there!

I followed the instructions and let's just say don't use stainless steel pans but also I didn't do my test to see if my pen was ready before I put the oil in so that's on me. I have to take the blame for that because my pan is a mess and I'm cleaning it right now. But let's get to this fried rice. It has a great heat to it now I did add a little sesame oil to my pan and a little dark soy sauce and the shrimp are good with it. I would buy this again. Do you need to maybe add a little flavor yes because you get the heat, but it's not hitting me with flavor. I get a little spices, but it's not something that's gonna wow now to some people it will, but to me that's a connoisseur and a home chef I want a little bit more flavor and another thing to stretch this is to maybe scramble two eggs because it does have eggs in it, but I just think that fried rice is better with fresh eggs the eggs in it are good but I just I like a lot of eggs in my fried rice so I will be adding two eggs and some colossal black tiger shrimp because I had them on hand, but I just want it in this picture you to see the fried rice by itself no added eggs no added shrimp just this fried rice and I'm not gonna lie to you. I'm gonna buy this again the same way I like those shrimp potstickers if you're in there grab those two they're great with a little bit of that citrus Panzo sauce yes sir, thank me later. The ambience of the store it is what it is you know Trader Joe's to me it's a I would say maybe a better version of Aldi's. I don't know why I always had this stigma that Trader Joe's was an expensive store, but I do like the culture of different things I can get in all these that some things. Yes you're gonna pay for you know but I'm one of them connoisseurs that I go to Trader Joe's, Publix Whole Foods that's one of my favorites num dae mun for fresh seafood or I'll go to DeKalb farmers market every once in a blue moon and just grab a whole lot of seafood, but I also shop at Walmart Lidl because they have certain things that I can go to those storage for now you know what I should've added to this, which I probably will do later is make a duck breast that I have on hand and make it a shrimp and duck breast fried rice oh my God I think that's gonna be fabulous, but y'all have a wonderful and blessed day and thanks for looking at my review

A trip around the world and a walk down memory lane…read more It's been decades since I stepped foot inside the Buford Highway Farmers Market, and being back felt like a beautiful reunion. The last time I walked these aisles, I was with my mama, Donna Theresa. So much has changed since then, yet the soul of this place remains as vibrant as ever. It feels more expansive than I remember. A true global treasure tucked right here in the city. I'm still obsessed with how they organize the aisles by country. In just one afternoon, I traveled from Korea to Eastern Europe to Central America, no passport required! I was officially "team sample" the moment they offered! Unlike the heavy, sugary profile of traditional American cakes, these were a masterclass in balance. I tried the Neapolitan, a stunning phyllo-layered creation that was light, buttery, and perfectly textured. But the Lemon Cream Cake? It stole the entire show. It looked picture-perfect on the shelf, and the taste was even better. It was so bright, airy, and just the right amount of decadence. Coming back here wasn't just a grocery trip; it was a win for my palate and my heart. Now that I'm back in the area, you can bet this is becoming a regular stop on my rotation.
