Drove up on Halloween night at 10:55 to run in and get something really quick. I would've been out at 11. Security said they were closed. I told them it's 10:55 I'll just be 2 minutes. Security told me they close at 10:55. If that is the case the website shouldn't say it closes at 11. A Kroger worker was actually willing to let us in but security still said no. I worked in customer service for years and from what I know, even if someone walks in 5 minutes before closing you can't turn them away. read more

I go into this Kroger practically everyday spending 100's of dollars a week. Been doing this for the last 20 years. After my purchase, I decided to stop at the lottery kiosk on my way out. I inserted my money and got nothing. I asked a cashier and he said the machine was broken. A manager walked by and he was asked if he knew anything about the machine. He answered no and was about to continue walking when he turned around and reprimanded the employee for being on his phone too much never acknowledging me or seeing what he could do to help. My issue was finally resolved but left with a bitter taste in mouth. 2 issues ... As a Mgr / supervisor, make sure your customers are taken care of and treat your employees with more respect...don't dress him down in public. I like this Kroger store, and it's the one that I go to the most since the Kroger that was the closest to where I live was permanently closed. This one is much bigger, and has all of the full functioning departments found in all of the large Kroger stores, like meat (with a butcher), bakery, deli, seafood and pharmacy. Kroger is in the Georgetown Square Shopping Center, along with lots of small businesses. Parking is available in the free shared parking lot, but customers may not be able to park close to Kroger. Employees wear face masks, but not all customers wear them. While I was there, I thought two older women were going to duke it out because one of them decided that she didn't have to wear a face mask. Hand sanitizer is available at the doors as are antibacterial wipes to rid germs after other customers have touched the handles of carts and baskets. Employees will generally help you if you ask for assistance, although this may be a hit or miss depending on the employee's experience level. To me, it seems that a good amount of customers are always inside this store. I think that, because of this reason, this store is just about always well stocked, unless there is a national shortage of items. Produce looks fresh most of the time, and the employees are pretty good at removing items that have passed their expiration dates. Just a tip here, the meat department has a section where they have discounted unsold meat that is getting close to its expiration date (but they're still good and haven't yet reached its expiration date). Some of these are great bargains, but customers should cook them the same day they buy the meat. I've had medication prescriptions filled and refilled at this pharmacy. The pharmacy employees have been very helpful and courteous every time I've dropped off prescriptions or picked up meds, and they honor Good RX price discounts. Customers who have registered to get the Kroger Plus Shopper's Card are eligible to receive special discounts on select items, and customers who register at Kroger.com can get additional discounts online and through electronic coupons that can be used in the store. Prices are competitive, although, in my opinion, average prices at Kroger are just a little higher than Walmart and lower than Publix. read more

Store closes at 11, but employees lock doors well before official closing time. Every Kroger will allow customers to enter at 10:50, as long as you quickly find what you need and are out by 11, but not here. It's really amazing to see store employees lock the doors in customers faces and then taunt them when they point out that they have ten minutes to shop. It's incredible that Kroger corporate allows the Kroger at Georgetown Shopping Center (Chamblee/Atlanta) store to violate published store hours and treat customers with absolute disrespect. One employee dared the Disappointed customers to "Go call corporate, cause they can kiss her a#% too." Customer service at its finest. Avoid this store at night. read more

This kroger is ok. Its been better since they reorganized some of the isles and upgraded the crispers. However the inventory is inconsistent. Sometimes they have certain brands and products but other times they dont. It would be great if they kept items in stock. read more

My friendly neighborhood Kroger. This Kroger happens to be the closest grocery store to my residence, so needless to say, they receive the majority of my business. Staff: The staff is usually always polite. I've had a run in with one or two people part of the late crew who were rude and probably were just ready to leave for the day, but that's still no way to act. No one really asks if you need any help, which I don't mind. I'm not necessarily trying to converse with every associate there, but they're available if you need assistance. Produce: This is the main issue I have with this Kroger. Every time I come in the store, produce is very low. I either have nothing at all to choose from or my choices are slim and have been picked over. There's might've been once when I came to this location and their produce stock was completely full. I'm not sure when they get trucks, but it feels odd that every time I go, they're low or out. This goes for all produce: fruits & veggies. Expect LONG LINES during power outages, hurricanes, snow days, or other pre-determined bad weather conditions by the meteorologist. If they indicate that you may want to stock up on food for a random snow week in Atlanta, get to Kroger immediately. I've waited in some lines so long that I thought I was at Disney World waiting for a ride. I mean, 30-45 minutes for self checkout. Lines for regular attendants would be backed all the way down regular grocery aisles. They need all hands on deck at these times! I need this Kroger to stay stocked up. They're the closest grocery store, so it's hard to give them business if they don't have much. It's also an inconvenience if I have to drive to another store for something that my Kroger location should have! read more

Just started going to this location due to the other Kroger being remodeled on Chamblee Tucker road. I have been missing out because the location is hard to see off 285. I love the setup and how spread out everything is compared to the other one I usually go to. Everything I needed was in stock which was great and they had a lot of stuff on sale. The best thing about Kroger is their sales on their items they have everyday. Every day/Every week there are new sales. The prices are a little expensive but it's worth it because they have great products. Just sure you bring your Kroger card or sign up for one to get be able to qualify to get the sale on certain products. I forgot to bring my Kroger card this time and missed out on some great deals. read more

This has become my go-to Kroger ever since I moved to the Dunwoody area. It's actually quite a bit of a drive from where I live but there are no Krogers near the Perimeter Mall area. I like how this Kroger is never usually busy, or at least whenever I go, it's always pretty empty. This Kroger is pretty quiet and is pretty much well-stocked considering the national supply shortage of everything. They also have multiple security officers on duty.. showing that this location might not be the safest. Kroger is Kroger. Cheap and affordable groceries. My go to Kroger since it is only one exit up from me. The store is always clean and the employees are friendly and willing to help. They occasionally do not have all of the produce that I need in stock, but for the most part they do a great job. They have a great "better for you" section, which entails the healthy foods. The bakery and meat sections always look great and offer plenty of options for different types of shoppers. The store is easy to navigate as well, which cannot be said for many grocery stores. Parking is limited, but they offer a great in and out, especially being so close to 285. The greatest thing I can say about this Kroger, I have never waited more than 5 minutes to check out. It seems like that is almost unheard of these days. I will continue to buy groceries from this Kroger. Keep it up! read more

Went to deli to get chicken and found out they have wing limit now. The lady told me the wings were 1.99 which I was fine with paying them said a max of getting five wings. My go-to grocery store because: Pros: 1. It's the most convenient, due to it being .1 miles from my apartment 2. It's clean and restocked weekly 3. Straight forward order - every other Kroger I go to seems to be a mess in comparison. 4. Customer service - not bad. I always see the same workers, seeing as I am there the same times every Kroger visit. 5. Make sure to catch the seafood guy when he's around. 6. A large wine section, reminds me of Total Wine... 7. Yay for self checkout! I'm pretty sure me on self checkout is much faster than a cashier on speedy check out. 8. Open 24/7. 9. Yay sales! And yay for Kroger plus card! And yay for fuel points! Cons: 1. Where is the broccoli? Randomly did not have it when I was looking for it yesterday (3/16/15) - I asked a grocer where to find the broccoli, and he calmly informed me they were not in stock, although they did have some organic broccoli (where is the REGULAR GENETICALLY MODIFIED broccoli?). 2. If you want to fill your prescriptions find a pharmacy that has pharmacists with a good bedside manor. There is only one pharmacist there that has it. The others are so unhappy it shows with how they speak to customers. Same as customer service support. A woman answered and has been so rude about me bringing back milk they sold me in a glass bottle that was rotten. She said that I should have checked the date before buying. Who doesn't check the date before buying milk!? Of course I checked the date. So she said she won't take it back. You guys need a good dose of customer service lessons. read more

This is my favorite neighborhood Kroger. Everyone here is always very friendly and helpful. There's a young lady in the seafood department that gives excellent service and then there's another cashier who works customer service as well. I can't member her name but she's also a superstar. She's usually always at register number one . Sadly today, I was rung up by Angie who did not have very much warm and fuzzy to offer. I stopped by this Kroger last weekend to pick up some drinks for a cookout I was headed to. This Kroger is currently undergoing renovations, inside and out. Thus, the place is a mess. The parking lot is almost like navigating a minefield. Gravel, potholes, and pipes aplenty with construction tape, heavy duty equipment, and giant metal dumpsters to inconvenience your drive in. Once inside, you'll see sections of the grocery store gutted from floor to ceiling. It looks like they're resurfacing some of the floors to look like the dark brown flooring at Midtown/Westside Wal-Mart, so it's nicer than the same old boring light-colored tile. Well, renovations are a good thing as evidenced by the overhaul my neighorbood Kroger on Howell Mill completed not too long ago. The produce section especially looks much better and I don't see any reason why not to expect the same, if not better, results here at the Chamblee Dunwoody store. It wasn't crowded on my Sunday afternoon visit. I like that they have six self check-out kiosks here. My Kroger only has four. read more

I have been going to this Kroger mostly out of convenience for about 4 years now. Not a huge fan of the new layout, but it's not a complete deterrent. The only reason I stay at this Kroger is for the Pharmacy department. They are all just awesome people! Love that they know me and offer help and work hard to find what I need. This has been my go-to grocery store for over ten years now. I've seen very little there to complain about. There's very rarely a time when they've been out of an item I needed. They have a nice international section that'll meet most of your general needs. They have some real super star employees as well. Mary, who is always very helpful. And Angela, the associate I see at self check that gets things done! I live equidistant to another Kroger and a Walmart Market and I rarely feel the need to visit those places. Ive been shopping here for over 20 yrs. Overall its not a bad grocery. But today at 8:30 am 5/14/22 it wasnt so good at the check out line. They had nobody at the checkout lanes so it was all do it yourself. Two of those lanes were closed. There was a long line and only one employee. Two managers passed byand did nothing to help. The one girl gos to the express lane and when i get there she tells my little basket of less than 15 items is too much. so now i lost my place in the do it yourself line and have to get in the back of the line. Pharmacy review: the pharmacists at this location are some of the friendliest in the business. They go above and beyond to help and answer any questions. They have an upbeat personality even when faced with customers literally hurling curse words at them for circumstances outside of their control (food products being out of stock). First of all this store changed immensely for the better. Major overhaul renovation was done to this location because it used to be totally different. From the moment you walk in the door you have stuff catching your eye. Gorgeous produce, flowers and bakery items capture your attention. There is an extensive wine collection as well as near selection. The store was not crowded. Very clean, aisles clear and had everything I needed and then some. This is my local grocery store I visit multiple times a week. The experience I have can range from awesome to below average. The interior of the store is well organized and always clean. The parking lot is a little less desirable. There always seems to be trash all over and they could really use more attention in that area since it is the first representation of their business. The store was recently renovated and has a wide variety of foods and alcoholic beverages. Their wine selection is superb and beer is pretty good as well. The deli does not have a lot of unique items just a lot of standard meats and cheeses. The cafeteria area is nice and offer a wide variety of food to go. My biggest complaint and compliment is the staff. The majority of the time the staff members are great but some of them forget they are there to help the "customers" not themselves. I would strongly recommend management spend some time with the staff to build some personal pride in their employees work ethics. There is a Redbox right outside the store and many local eateries you can attend to pick up a bite and a beverage before you start your grocery shopping. Overall the store is great! I just feel like they can work on spending more time training the staff to value each customer and wow them with their service. read more

I haven't shopped for groceries here in a few years, but I had a gift card to use today, and noticed it has really gone downhill. Empty and disorganized shelves, so many displays blocking the aisles that you can't maneuver between them and other shoppers, no music playing, hardly any checkout lines open - just a super long self checkout line, and the past 3 times I've sent a prescription to the pharmacy it has taken over a week for them to fill it. They have always been filled the same day before this year. I will continue paying a little more and shopping at Publix and Walgreens for a more pleasant experience. read more

I visit this Kroger weekly to buy my lunch and snacks for the office. I always visit early in the morning (before 8 AM), so the place is nearly empty. Employees are always friendly and willing to offer help. The location is clean and organized (thanks to a recent renovation it seems), but none of these reasons explain my love for this Kroger. I love Halo Top... The overpriced diet ice cream that is ridiculously delicious. Most Krogers that I visit are always out of major flavors (vanilla, birthday cake, etc.). However, this Kroger always has all varieties of flavors in stock! They had the new flavors on their shelves almost right away, and this keeps me smiling and happy every time I walk into the freezer section. Keep up the inventory control for the ice cream, and my review will always be at least 4 stars. read more

Another neighborhood place that we frequent. Apparently this Kroger was renovated in the last couple years and it shows. Well, both in that it is more modern-looking than Krogers of the past and even some Krogers these days and that it no longer looks brand spanking-new. You can say that the supermarket has settled into its look for some time now. Anyway, who cares about that. This Kroger has everything we need for our regular grocery needs, which makes it the go-to place when we need to pick up some garlic, milk, apples, pork chops, or pasta. There are a few things that we still pick up at either Buford Highway Farmers Market or H-Mart (or the various Asian supermarkets in Duluth when we're visiting my fam all the way on Pleasant Hill) but generally, everything we need is found at our local Kroger. The cheese selection is impressive and satisfies the Frenchie of our household in a big way. We are even big fans of the bread and let me tell you, I remember the olden days when Kroger baked stuff were pretty much sub-par. The sunflower loaf, whatever the official name is, is probably one of my faves. Lightly toasted with a hunk of cheese and afternoon snack cravings diminish to zero. Though I know nothing about alcohol, AT and I have perused the huge wine section. He always says he'll get something but he's one of those people who really takes their time when doing anything. He always gets to doing them but man, does he take his sweet time... Haha! Last thing. If you like pasta, the Private Selection pasta in the matte clearish bags is simply awesome. Skip the brand names and grab a few bags of these bad boys. If you look carefully, you will see that they are imported from Italy. Generic brands have been getting better over the years and this is a prime example. read more

I hate this pharmacy: they never have my prescriptions allegedly!, the last time they told me my prescription wasn't there it was sitting on the fax and so this time they are telling me again they don't have it! Although this is the closest pharmacy to my house I'd rather go to the one near my doctors office and doesn't take my insurance to not have to deal with them anymore. I swear this is like the 4th time something like this has happened and it's a bit ridiculous that every time I get sick I have to worry if they are going to have my prescriptions ready. read more

I love this Kroger! Much more of an upscale grocery than the typical Kroger I have become accustomed to shopping in. Lots of great options to choose from: -- fully stocked olive bar and to go meal selections -- huge natural food/organic section -- amazing wine selection with their own steward to assist you in making a selection (he certainly has helped me!) -- fresh produce, meat counter, and seafood case Lots of product choices and great value/quality really keep me coming back. This Kroger has really become the belle of the ball since their recent makeover a few months ago. Before the renovation, this was hands down the worst Kroger in the metro Atlanta area; now it has become one of the best. They have great managers specials which adds to your savings. My favorite part about this Kroger is their organic/clean section. Ow my gosh! I've stopped going to Whole Foods because This Kroger really has the best organic section in town. They started with Organic foods but now they are branching to organic and vegan bath and cleaning products too. My only complaint is they do run out of products from time to time, especially on Sundays when everyone does their shopping. I've been upset several times because they were out of produce. read more

When I walked in the store, I was very impressed! Beautiful floral section, HUGE DELI with hot and cold food, you might as well call it a restaurant! Fresh bakery. Produce is fresh and this store stocks everything I need. I just moved from Los Angeles in which Albertsons is the "Kroger" there, and there is no comparison, this store is hands down the best grocery store I've ever been to, and I've been across the US. The only thing lacking is smiles from cashiers. A little bit more customer service will have this store #1 in Atlanta in no time. read more
