I knew of these guys but this was my first interaction with Lidl - my first impression: "it's an Aldi wanna to be" my balloon immediately began to deflate upon entering after seeing they fall short of even Aldi (my next thought - why am I here?) yes I remember I need barbecue sauce uhmmm I don't recognize any brand that I've ever tasted so I have to use a proven decision tree method: Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, Catch a tiger by the toe. If he hollers, let him go, Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. This always gives results but it may not always be the most desirable results, but do you really want to stand in front of bottles of food stuff and show the world your indecisiveness? I am glad I stopped in so I know there is no need to ever stop in again even though they sell some stuff that is unique: Giant Frozen Sea Scallops - A Bakery with dispensers that reminds me of post office boxes. Clothing and groceries no no no they don't go together (is there a changing room? OMG I hope not). Hey maybe it's just me and this Lidl fills a niche that I'm not aware of - I will tell you their orange juice is of very high quality it's worth stopping here for only that...

I first saw this store in Augusta GA. I didnt get a chance to go in, i thought their location looked pretty cool from the outside so i couldnt wait to try it out in Atlanta. The closest location for me was snellville, it was smaller than i expected. I got a cart and went in to see what was so different. I noticed the bakery and everything looked really good. My kids tried a few baked items and they enjoyed them. I walked thru to check out prices and to sée what type of brands they carried. It was like a bigger Aldis. Once checking out i found out it was like a sister to aldis grocery chain. I purchased a few things along with 2 bags and bagged up my items at the end like aldis. I was told to download the app for specials and rewards. I have done that, but somehow never made it back to shop again. I just may go again soon since its now fall.

The store was very crowded, probably because this weekend is the grand opening. The parking lot was full almost to capacity and they had flaggers there to direct traffic which was good. Inside the store was just a busy as outside the stores. They have a small floral section as soon as you walk in the store. The flowers looked pretty fresh, I believe the prices were reasonable. The store is an upsale Aldi's. Lots of Non-name brand items, with a few name brands sprinkled in. I spent about 2 hours in the store walking down each isle. The prices were just ok so there is no rush for me to go back. I didn't see any "bargains" therefore I only purchased a few items. I don't think this store will be my new grocery store but it is a nice change and addition to the neighborhood.

This Lidl is pretty awesome. It's much bigger and better than the Peachtree Corners location. They even have a self check out, like what? I like Lidl in general. Their eggs are super cheap. The Land of Lakes butter that I buy is much cheaper here. Their almond milk is pretty good. They have legit nuts. They have good baking products too. Lidl has an app you can download so you can get discounts. 15/2021

Lidl is a nice store to shop. Just this day awhile back was unsettling when they shut the door at 2 pm and said come back in an hour...

I'm from New York City, we don't have Lidl, at least I'm not aware of it. We have Aldi's which is Lidl's less attractive sister store lol. My mom raved about Lidl so, while I was in town we ventured over. Its a simple store, very similar to Aldi's however, the selection is a little better and they offer more name brand foods. They also offer quality school supplies and fresh baked goods , I really liked that. However, some of the produce such as the strawberries weren't that great and sizing for some products is limited. For instance, you won't find 8oz and 16oz of peanut butter, most likely it'll just be 16oz offered which is a bit much for a single person as myself. Honestly, it reminds me of Ikea, if they had a supermarket. There is plenty of parking and customer service was good. Overall, I really wish there was one close to my house. I would definitely return and I recommend it to others.

Meat spoiled in days, and no refund granted. Covid-19 policy, they say. Bad meat, I say. It's an excuse for substandard quality.

By that I mean there were always at least three cashiers open WITH baggers as opposed to the competition down the street with one cashier and zero baggers. (I boycotted that store due to the lack of customer service). That brings me to today's visit at Publix. I had about 20-25 items and went to the only line open which had a line. The two people in front of me each had just a few items plus a larger order in front of them. So I took my cart and went to self checkout unwillingly, but not wanting to stand and wait. I have no problem with self checkout when I only have a few things. I was unhappy today that I had to go to self checkout with my numerous items. The entire reason I changed to Publix was for the customer service which has now changed to customer no-service. The employee who was manning the self check out never spoke to me or thanked me or asked me to return. I may as well go back to Kroger and get no customer service, but cheaper prices.

Pretty disappointed by the level of service I received at the pharmacy. Good thing it was for my sister and not me I would never use this. As for the actual selection of products in the publix - it's decent but very over priced. I try not to shop here when I can avoid it.

It used to be available at Atlanta Asian Foods and even Hong Kong Supermarket but no more. I found another black crab paste version at Yonghui but my papaya salad don't taste the same since then. My Cambodian cousins told me that an aunt suggested her to check out Asian Market since that's where she gets her Asian necessity ingredients. Asian Market is located on the corner of Hurricane Shoals and West Pike. You won't see it from the street because it is hidden behind Pancake House. You would not think there's a continuing strip of building there. A lot of stores are run down or abandon. It's been years since I've been there, I knew exactly where it was since I used to live in Lawrenceville. Since the cousin didn't know, I decided to go and it's exactly the same as I remember. It IS very small. But hey, they have what I need to make my papaya salad. They have few small aisles. I did see movies for sale and rent too. So old school. Credit cards are accepted. Minimum of $10 You do not know how happy I am to finally find the Pantainorasingh Brand of Black Crab Paste. Okay, I lied, I was able to find it at Winder Oriental Market, which is Hmong own. I ain't driving to Winder just for this! My sister lives in Winder and I don't even visit her like that lmao. (BTW, we usually meet up at my parent's house) I'm now thinking that Pantainorasingh Brand of Black Crab Paste is a Thai, Lao, Hmong, Cambodian thing. We found other versions but all had soya oil in it or is another brand, which is disgusting. 84/2017

The past couple of times I've been here (probably 3 times within 2 weeks), their shelves look scarce, not sure if that's the combination of everyone getting groceries at the same time because of the ice storm and they not being able to get deliveries due to weather. Every trip to HMart, I stock up on meats (pork bellies, beef bulgogi slices, marinated chicken), veggies like radishes, bok choy, watercress, ginger, garlic, cucumber, tofu, and mushrooms. I also get the large tub of Kimchi, a large bag or 2 of rice cakes, and a whole bunch of the banchan. They have such a large array of them, it's always hard to decide which ones to get.

Not at any other H-Marts, but at this Duluth location, things have just gone awry in the past few years. For one, they allow religious harassment at their door. I really don't appreciate being flagged down and chased by Bible "advocates" outside their door. I find that really intrusive, and bordering harassment. One time, this bawdy Korean lady chased me toward my car with this religious pamphlet...when I clearly told her "NO"...not interested. I mean, what more can I do or say without being chased like that??? So rude! I can't believe H-Mart is letting these folks harass their customers like this. Not all the people that shop at this mart is a Catholic, or Christian, or religious at all. Even if they are, they STILL may not wish to be harassed like this. For some folks, religion (or spirituality) is a personal thing. Religious harassment is so offputting...and inappropriate? I mean, this is a supermarket!!! It's just beyond the pale. This right here made me drop 2 stars off the bat! Then their weird food court hours. I mean, most food courts are up and running from 11 am on...but here, they start opening past 12 pm. I think on the day I was there, they were opening the food court closer to 12:30! That's just not acceptable. Lastly, I find their layout extremely awkward and uncomfortable to manuever around.
